Easy booking and follow up email. Jorge Rodriguez was very informative, had great customer service skills and was exceptionally pleasant. He helped me book the right add on items for my needs. I would travel with Cruise Direct again in the future.
This company charged me $3000 when it should have been $1750. The refuse to refund the money. Absolutely rudest people ever! DO NOT LOOSE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID

That shore excursion was beyond awful and sincerely we all got cheated. It all started with the organizers asking us to sign a document that due to the "rough" sea they will change the snorkel location. Instead of taking us to the good reefs away from the shore they took is 50 meters from the main beaches where there were no reef and no fishes to see. All the other boats were out in the sea where the good reefs were, and the sea was not rough at all - just it was easier not to go out there. At the end we did not manage to do much snorkeling at all, saw hardly any fish close to the beach, and on top of that had to listen to loud Mexican rap on the boat. We have asked several times to turn down the music but with no success. Looked like most of the boat did not enjoy it at all but the local staff probably thought that to be great entertainment for their standards. At the end we were dumped in an overcrowded third rate resort with a buffet lunch - which was not bad tasting, but in the evening we felt it and for 2 days could not recover our stomachs (shows you that the hygiene and quality were poor). All in all - a total waist of money and time - should have rented a boat on the shore and am sure would have been better and cheaper. I do not recommend this provider to anyone. A shame!

Nothing they advertised was true. They put us in the worst room possible. Their customer service supervisors are cunning and deceitful. They solve nothing!

I am so sorry to hear that you were unhappy with our customer service. I have reviewed your call with our supervisors and unfortunately as you booked one cabin for 4 guests you would not receive two cabins. We do ask on step 1 "Who's staying in your stateroom?" and ask for the number of guests in the room. On that step you entered in 4 guests so the system booked all four of you in one room. At this time the ship is fully booked so we are unable to book an additional cabin for you. You did receive a discount for guests 3 and 4 for booking them in the same cabin. I have requested a double cabin be placed on waitlist for you and should one become available we will contact you with the price difference to make the change. I wish there was more we could do for you at this time, but with the ship being sold out our hands are tied.

I had problems with a reservation on a NCL cruise. The reservation was booked, paid in full, confirmed... and it was non existent in NCL web page! After some help also from other Customer Service in CD today Jorge Rodriguez took all the time to find the porblem and then bring a solution. He resolved the non existent reservation situation directly with NCL in my behalh. And, presto! Now I see the reservation finaly! THANK YOU SO MUCH to Jorge to the previous CS agents in CD. You have a loyal customer for ever. This is what customer need SOLUTIONS. Thanks again.

I Booked a cruise with this company in Aug 2015.
When researching cruise prices I was offered the following with them;
Book now with us and get a $50.00 per person Inboard credit plus 10% off your excursions.
When you proceed to not book with them a window pops up on your screen and they offer you an additional surprise discount via email if you book with them today!
You proceed to your email to verify your additional discount they are offering, and without telling you as you book they remove your onboard credit of $100.00 and give you only a 5% discount. Therefore if you do book your losing much more than there 5% discount I was offered.
I wrote to the company, about this business dishonesty, and they never even responded to my inquiry.
Stay away from these bargain cruise sites, as they call themselves... and deal directly with the cruise lines.
Cruisedirect has been more than helpful booking and when our price dropped for the cruise they called RCCL and matched the price. They did this quickly and saved us some money! Thanks Sam
For reasons beyond my control, I had to cancel only 18 days out on a Mexican Riviera cruise. My husband was still going to go. This sent CruiseDirect into a tizzy. I was only given a $95 refund (taxes) and nobody seemed to want to answer my questions as to why so low? All the "Cancellation Policies" pointed to me getting at least 15-25% back.
I also tried to book a transfer from airport to port with CD and they told me it was booked. Then they said I hadn't provided me with a credit card # to book it... they already HAD my CC#! I read their e-mail to them where I was never asked for my CC # again.
There was also a price reduction from Princess for the cruise. I was able to get our cruise reduced but when I had my Sis-in-law try, CD couldn't seem to reduce her cruise (same cruise, same type stateroom, etc.). Ridiculous.
AND, lastly, English is a 2nd language for nearly every "concierge team member" I spoke to. I'm not racist, but if you work all day on the phone in customer service, then you need to be understood by your client!
My coustumer service rep Kyle made my first experience with Cruise Direct smooth and efficient. I was very impressed with my overall experience. We will definitely be repeat customers!

I was told "no worries" your $100 on board credit will be waiting for you in your stateroom when you board. You don't get it when booking - which is why it's called an on board credit. However, when the promised credit failed to show up on our invoice or in any email from Cruise Direct I became suspicious I was being scammed again.
I was shocked when I called to press CD for an email confirming our $100 credit. The agent asked if I'd completed the REDEMPTION FORM! THIS WAS THE FIRST MENTION OF ANY REQUIRED REDEMPTION FORM NEVER PROVIDED ME! DON'T BE DECEIVED INTO BELIEVING YOUR PROMISED ON BOARD CREDIT WILL BE WAITING FOR YOU WHEN YOU BOARD UNLESS YOU HAVE THAT PROMISE IN WRITTING!
Hi Keith, we do mention in your confirmation email that you need to redeem the onboard credit, and the steps are listed on there for you as well. I am sorry that you did not see that on your paperwork, but I have confirmed that the $100 has been added to your account. If you need anything else please don't hesitate to call us!

I have been going back and forth with the "human" texting people from Cruisedirect.com They have fed me different stories and a basket of inaccuracies for 2 months now.
I fully blame myself since I have used them on the past 4 times and had to hunt them out for help twice and one time when we did not get what was promised I was told "we will make it up next time you book".
This time we paid it full in July, then when cruises took a dive in October, we moved from an Oceanview to a Balcony and still had $$$$ left to our benefit. I was told that we would have it as a credit. Now we are told to pay more $$$$ and that the Cruise line... not named since this is Not THEIR Issue... had refunded us money twice and now we had to pay Cruise direct more. Well, we never got a refund and when contacted the cruise line said they don't deal with refunds from third parties, the third party (Cruisedecay.com) must deal with it. They also agreed that they did not send a refund since they don't do that for 3rd parties, others, bookings.
So Cruisedirect now wants more $$$$$ as well as has the overpayment for our cruise... I wanted to just go and stay on the ship and relax... now I just am so pent up I don't even want to go.
This company has put such distatse to the idea of a cruise that I will NEVER use them again.
