I've ordered from Crutchfield for years. My recent purchase was exactly what I expected. Great service, great warranty, zero issues. Save yourself the trouble of ordering from places that have zero after purchase customer care...Sonic... If you want a worry free transaction order from Crutchfield.
Bought a stereo for my run of the mill 2014 caravan. Their instructions said no cutting of the dash required. Well, after wiring I up I find I does not fit in the opening. The radio is too big so without hacking the outer dash, it's not going to fit. I decided to call and find out I this was normal and all I got was attitude. Tech told me I didn't read the instructions or fit info. When I proved him wrong on both counts, he then said I must have some special model. No apologies, no solutions, he just tried to blame me. And then hung up. I'm sending this junk back. If I can't can't get accurate fit info or tech support I might as well buy it on Amazon for less money.
I ordered some Rockford Fosgate 6 3/4 for the front doors of my 2006 corolla for $45 they sent and extra $30 worth of installation parts for free. They also sent an email tailored specifically to my car with some installation instructions.

I always love how easy it is to get hooked up, from the size of speakers needed in your car, to being able to filter down from literally tons of head units, to the ones that have just the options i want.

Not only did they mess up on my first package. I had to place another order to replace the first package and have it next day Air out of pocket, do to their error, to get here on time. This order still did not get here on time and still currently waiting for my package. After 9 days of waiting and dealing with Car ID. First and last time I ever do business with Car ID. Customer service was no help, and still no refund on my shipping cost do to their error. If I can give 0 stars I would.

These Kicker speakers were exactly what I needed for my car! They made sure that the speakers I picked out and wanted fit my car without having to adjust or change the layout of my car. Overall, great sound and excellent service!

My wife and I wanted to add a subwoofer to the computer sound system in our study. And our available space was very limited. After much research we decided on the Cambridge Audio Minx X301. Now that it is set-up with our Audioengine A5+ speakers we can enjoy a truly amazing listening experience. Adding this very tight and powerful subwoofer enhances these already great speakers. The Crutchfield technical staff, fair pricing and prompt delivery bring me back again and again.

This is a Christmas present for my son who wants a simple blue-ray/dvd player and picked it out so I could get what he wanted. It shipped the same day I ordered it, and even with free shipping was here in a couple days. AWESOME!

I have made business with many shops and many places where customer service is a pretty sad experience and I think it is important to mark when the services offered are out of normal. The website is top-tier (one of the best I have used), the phone line is quick, reliable AND the agent friendly and effective. One of the best consumer experience I have had in a long time. I would buy there again and will definetely recommend.

Last week I was shopping online to find a new stereo for my 2007 Nissan Pathfinder. I came across Crutchfield and was able to find everything I needed from the wiring harness adapter to the stereo that fit my vehicle. I was emailed wiring instructions and instructions on how to take my dash apart. When my stereo arrived it only took me an hour to hook everything up and to put everything back together. I could not have been more satisfied with Crutchfield. They also included a phone number if I needed to call for any technical assistance, I would not hesitate if and when I need to purchase a new stereo for my vehicle I will only shop at Crutchfield.

I am very pleased with the products I have purchased from Crutchfield over the years whether it be for home entertainment or my cars. Their shipping is fast and their customer service is excellent. When I have questions about a product the response time was within 24hrs. This is a very professional outfit.

Love the company, love supporting such a long standing institution but you guys make it hard. I actually hate your gift card process in this day and age. I had to pay shipping on a gift card becuase of your antiquated system that does not allow for digital or ecards? Then cause my father asked last minute I had to spend 29 dollars for over night? 29 dollars for a card. Pathetic and explains why big business is winning. Address the horrid practice please!

Ordered the JBL MBT-RX Bluetooth receiver for my old school receiver. Works great and love streaming music wirelessly. But what amazed me was how quickly I received the product. And the package was packed to prevent damage, it came in the manufacturer box but Crutchfield packed it in a bigger box with popcorn. I told my wife that wow that is a big box for such a small unit. I have bought car component speakers and an amp and I am completely satisfied. Plus free shipping can't go wrong. I have ordered stuff from other companies but after paying shipping the deal is not so great. Buy from Crutchfield for all your audio and electronic needs.

Packaging and shipping can not say enough good things. Looking forward to placing another order in the near future.

From finding a unit that would fit my truck, to the gear that was included, to the instructions; this couldn't have been easier.
I was a little intimidated to put in my own stereo, but the whole process took maybe 30 minutes. Now I want to upgrade my speakers!

There is a lot of false and misleading information online but i can always trust Crutchfield to have the most accurate and up to date info. There are always good deals in the outlet and scratch and dent stores.
Tip for consumers:
a lot of the bad reviews on here seem to be from people who didn't really know what they were doing and didn't ask for help.

I have been buying from Crutchfield since the 70's and the information before buying and clear directions help a great deal in getting my radios and speakers installed. The help with the other parts needed was critical.
Thank you

Bought a cheapish car stereo and installation kit from Crutchfield. If you buy the stuff from them, they give you detailed installation kits which turned out to be a lifesaver for me. I couldn't find good information for my 2010 Outback anywhere else online.
They also offer phone support for installations which I ended up using. I had trouble driving the OEM amp in the car, and their advice was detailed and spot on for my particular make/model and options.
I would be willing to pay more because of the extra services they offer, but their prices are comparable with anyone else, so this is definitely the guys to go to.

I have learned that for me, Crutchfield is the best place to purchase stereo and TV components. I had a number of questions to go along with my purchase of Apple TV and my sale rep answered everyone and guided me to the right solutions and she was easy to understand. Will continue to be a customer for years to come.

For the price you can't go wrong. Very happy with my purchase. Installed in a 92 GMC Sonoma. Instructions and schematics were good, but if your not familiar with installing a radio it would help to have a friend help you. I found that even the factory diagrams didn't match up with the radio i was replacing (factory unit). But i have installed a radio or two in my time so it worked fine. Just follow the instructions advice and pay more attention to the positions, not the color.

I'm typically a "go to the store and buy it" kind of guy but I found Crutchfield very simple and informative so I gave it a shot. I was able to glean all of the information I needed to make sure I was getting what I wanted, as well as a comfort level needed to try the installation myself. The order (free shipping) arrived a day earlier than expected and was I was able to completely install all of the components the next day. I would recommend Crutchfield to anyone looking for an easier, hassle-free way to shop for car audio.

The harness you made up was done wrong had to run a wire from the ignition wire to the main harness for the radio to get power to work. We own six Ford E350 that still need radios but will get them from Best-buy instead. Very disappointed in quality and service. This was the second order for 2011 and 2010 Ford E350 the first order the harness was made correctly and had no issues. I guess the person that made the second harness did not know what they where doing. Cannot trust your workmanship paid for good money for nothing.

I needed a blu-ray player. Crutchfield, unlike some other sites, had in stock the model I selected. It was easy to go through the order and payment process, and the player was delivered to me on time. This was my first transaction with Crutchfield, but it will be my go-to in the future.
