“Vehicle fit info is wrong and tech support is useless”

Bought a stereo for my run of the mill 2014 caravan. Their instructions said no cutting of the dash required. Well, after wiring I up I find I does not fit in the opening. The radio is too big so without hacking the outer dash, it's not going to fit. I decided to call and find out I this was normal and all I got was attitude. Tech told me I didn't read the instructions or fit info. When I proved him wrong on both counts, he then said I must have some special model. No apologies, no solutions, he just tried to blame me. And then hung up. I'm sending this junk back. If I can't can't get accurate fit info or tech support I might as well buy it on Amazon for less money.

Crutchfield was the way to go. After researching Crutchfield included speaker adapters and wire adapters for free. Order was also delivered in 2 days. Very happy with purchase.

Ordered radio and backup camera. Shipped fast. Received without some items needed for installation. When I called Crutchfield they sent out missing items quick and without any hassle.

This unskilled old girl needed a new radio for her antique convertible, so off to Crutchfield she went. And may I say that from the time I ordered my new radio I was nervous about the process... lol... I worried for no good reason! You have taken the steps to show even the uneducated how to do everything necessary to install that fabulous music machine and I cannot tell you how impressed I was as the speed and efficiency it was delivered! I ordered it at approximately 4:45 p.m. and the next day, it was delivered to my home complete with step-by-step installation instructions that even had pictures for the "unskilled challenged" music lovers to understand. What a pleasure it is to have a company that takes sooooo much care to ensure the successful installation of their products! Thank you for everything you have done - at such a great price and supplying such quality products and all the little tips and helpful information. You can be assured that everyone that I encounter will know where they need to go for any audio products. Smiles and waves of appreciation.

"Crutchfield" is one of those businesses that as an "old school" audiophile, you are well aware of, but rarely use.
However, I have a 25 year old SONY 5.1 surround sound receiver which was failing. I needed something to be compatible with a turntable, CD player, satellite receiver, flat screen TV and Blu-ray player. I did have to buy a pre-amp for the turntable, but that was a small sacrifice.
In my search for something compatible, the Crutchfield website was one that I came across. It was easily accessible, had helpful information from website personnel and reviews from customers. The price seemed very reasonable and had 2-day shipping. I ordered the receiver and preamp on a Thursday and everything arrived on a Monday. Wow. (of course it's 4 days, but there was a weekend in there...) Still, that's pretty damn fast considering they're in Virginia and I am in Washington State.
The new receiver was more than I expected for pretty much an entry level surround sound system, but totally adequate. My long playing records have never sounded better. Even Blu-rays of musical performances sound better than before.
Although the SONY I had for so many years was really good, the technology has progressed where whatever media I use sounds better than ever.
I did have to contact their Customer Service with a basic question which was answered very quickly. The added touch of adding several sheets of free "cable labels" was very helpful.
I'm extremely pleased I made a switch to the new receiver and am pleased with my experience with "Crutchfield".
I would have no problem recommending "Crutchfield".

Zac was superb, provided really good information regarding the speakers I was looking for. Needed to replace the factory installed speakers in my wife's 2015 WRX and his advice was spot on.

I have used Crutchfield before and been happy with their service. However, I recently purchased a new car radio that was supposed to have, based on the add on their website, 50.00 worth of installation hardware free. I had already priced the radio elsewhere and knew that I could get it cheaper but was buying from Crutchfield because of their service. When my bill came I noticed that I had been charged 34.99 for the items. When I called to ask I was first told that the special had just started and the phone rep was not familiar with the programs details (?) I was put on hold and then, after a while, told that it had been discounted by 50.00 and that I had been charged 24.99. The extra 10.00 were for parts not covered in the "deal". None of that was noted on my invoice. It appears on the bill that the parts cost 34.99 and I was charged 34.99. If what I was told is true then a wiring harness and a piece of plastic cost aprox. 75.00! They knocked off the invisible 50.00 to help with the overpriced radio. I do like their service but the "deal" is VERY MISLEADING... probably because there is NO DEAL AT ALL. Thinking about returning it and buying from a less expensive dealer. Honor your "deals" or don't say you have one!

Received everything I needed to get the job done, tools being the exception of course. It only took my friend and I about 10 minutes total to change putbtwo rear door speakers in my Kia Optima.

Great buying experience! My Denon AVR-X2400H was delivered on time, and then I got a price match to the Cyber Monday deal three weeks after the initial purchase. While I expected this, it was WAY easier than I anticipated.

Please know that I am extraordinarily pleased with the superb technical customer service I have received from everyone at Crutchfield. I have been through a series of troubleshooting hurdles the past 5 days trying to resolve my steering wheel control functions, and every Crutchfield technician has been patient and helpful to walk me methodically through the processes involved in finally getting everything to work correctly. The last morning of the install, another qualified Crutchfield technician provided 45 quality minutes of expert counsel, and his work provided the final break through to complete success.

Crutchfield has been all around fantastic to do business with, and I simply want to thank them publicly for the work they do in training up technicians like Cam, Charles, Slim, and Nicole to help customers like me achieve their car audio goals. Be encouraged, Crutchfield, and be motivated to keep up the faithful customer service excellence I've come to expect from top notch companies like you!

Order was shipped the day I ordered it and arrived ahead of schedule. Love the biodegradable packing peanuts, just dump in the sink, run water and wash down the drain. Great service and eco friendly.

A good deal of my order for my new system involves parts that were not necessary. I found the sales advisor and not very knowledgeable about the stereo itself nor my set up. Like how to play video on my iPhone. And then I just found it online on YouTube. Or the instruction manual which is pretty useless from Kenwood. If the instruction manuals are useless that I expect their sales reps to know it all. My sales rep knew nothing about how to get video on my Kenwood stereo unit. I previously bought a stereo 2014 with the same car that I was fitting this time the new unit. The new Kenwood simply would plug and play into my old systems configuration. The sales rep recommended all sorts of new things including the XM tuner a new interface for my steering wheel and even a new face plate. All were not required. I appreciate getting customer service people on the phone and that's where Crossfield has it hands-down well. But I do think in this instance my sales rep really just didn't know details about this unit nor my car
