Culligan of LaCrosse is below average on efficiency, price and customer service. There are not a lot of options when looking for water treatments in this area. I had to call for salt numerous times after they assured me that I was "on the schedule". I asked them kindly to remove their shoes since my carpet had just been replaced. They said their policy is to keep their shoes on no matter of the circumstances. Even if your child has an immune deficiency disorder, it doesn't matter; they still must leave their shoes on. I asked about shoe covers and they said "they are afraid of slipping". I have been hauling my own 40lb bags of salt down my stairs for years with no complaints. However, when their unit was not working properly and they had to service it they still refused to take their shoes off. I have never had anyone refuse to remove shoes. It's is a common everyday courtesy when you are in and out of people's homes. I talked with the GM of the local franchise and he was unable and unwilling to accommodate such an outlandish request. I informed him that I no longer needed their service and to come pick up the equipment that will be waiting outside and his reply was, "when?". I know several other people looking to switch companies and I will tell you that Tom at Eco Water Systems and Jeff at Coulee Region Water Conditioning are very friendly and more than happy to help you with your water problems/needs. I have paid Culligan almost $3000 in the last 3 years between the rental service and the salt they deliver and will be excited not to give them another penny.
