Daz3D has a rating of 2.6 stars from 1,448 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Daz3D most frequently mention sale items, and credit card problems. Daz3D ranks 570th among Graphic Design sites.
No complaints. I would like more categories at top navigation level. The listing facets are fine but cumbersome. For example, if I think there should be a category for your premiere product, Genesis 8.
Daz3d is a $#*!ty program that freezes up my computer. Avoid it. There are better programs out there.
Searching for stuff is almost too daunting. I've had to ask around for what to buy because the search function is too broad.
I'm looking to create a visual novel in the near future. Daz seems like my best solution for the art.
I needed house building materials.
The process was easy and intuitive. The only problem I face was slowing down when I add or remove items in the cart.
20% off a gift card, thanks! Is there a way a feature could be added to the checkout process allowing gift card values to be changed in-cart?
March Madness.
Ouch! High prices! Shopping Daz isn't fun anymore.
Some of the artists are quite good, but I am mostly window shopping, now. I used to spend insane amounts of money at Daz when the shop was as addictive as a casino. I used to fill my cart with tons of items during sales like March Madness and then check my total and feel like I had hit the jackpot. It was an emotional experience. And, of course, there was also the Ikea-like logic to the store design that made sure I stayed longer than intended and saw items that I HAD to have, at such low prices. I chose Daz3D today out of a hope that some of that may come back. But it definitely hasn't. Daz engages the rational part of my brain instead of my emotions, now, and when I am thinking rationally, I favour keeping my money. I read recently that if a casino slot machine is set to return %70 of the player's money on each play, nobody will play. But if it mostly returns nothing and then sporadically returns many times he player's dollar on a single turn, people will not only play, but will find it difficult to stop. Even though, in the long term, the results of a 70% return are identical in both circumstances. Daz used to use the jackpot approach. Now it is trying to use the other approach and I, personally, find it very easy not to spend very much.
I use gift card sales to help offset the currency exchange rate between my country and the US. 10% isn't high enough to cover that, though. Plus, my brand loyalty to Daz is fading. So I just got a $50 card, although I had originally planned to spend several times that amount this month.
I appreciated the coupon code for a large discount on some recent releases.
I check Daz3D daily, looking for the best prices on my wishlist items.
OOT hairs are beginning to look very realistic and I have decided to gradually add more to my content library. I also like the new MetaMixer utility and find it more useful with more shapes to choose from, so I purchased the newest add-on.
These are blind purchases. There is no feedback about the artists or assets. There is no way to ever contact the artist.
Every purchase is a gamble because there is no feedback from customers.
I think a large portion of Daz is a dumping ground for artists with surplus models.
Your website is always slow and I have solid internet service.
Decided to try working with models from one proven creator instead of taking chances on unknown assets.
I never received the free items. That I put in my shopping cart. They were Shinning Star Mix and Match "Expressions for Star 2.0" and "Alexus for Genesis 8.1 Female"
Do I attribute this to outright lying by DAZ or super crappy web design where things go wrong? I also made a purchase a few days ago where the free items disappeared after checkout.
I always check for sales.
I think I may be able to use them in the future.
There are no reviews and no way to ask the seller questions. Every purchase is a financial risk.
There is zero feedback about your products. There is no way to contact the developer. Every purchase is a gamble. I expect over 20 percent of my purchases to be wasted money. The DAZ store and system is very nice and I would prefer to get all my assets through DAZ but I do not like to gamble. There fore I use Renderosity and other asset stores.
I understand that there is a guarantee but it is so well hidden that saying you have a guarantee is a lie. Also, any waranty period is over by the time I am able to use and test the assets.
Items for future use were on sale. Hobby use.
Great products, I enjoyed it and it was really fun, and enjoyable. I would recommend it to everyone who is interested in their products.
There amazing and very detailed
Product (Juliet Hair) was easy to find and the 58% off sale price was outstanding. Payment was easy.
I found a product on Renderosity, Quick Click Juliet Hair, and the hair style fantastic. However, Swam's Juliet was required, and the link took me to DAZ.
See above reason.
I can't actually access my downloads when I go to "My Account". I can only access my content via going into my orders.
I shop here because Daz makes content that I can't get at Renderosity. I user Poser, because Daz Studio is a poorly designed piece of software - no, seriously, it is junk. Whatever you paid the developers was too much.
Have been a customer for 16 years in spite of Daz customer service.
They were free.
Sometimes I order an item that is on sale but the order does not process until the next day when the item is no longer on sale
Free and adding to my plant collection.
Make the site more intuitive. Add categories. Expand the search menu. Other than that, the site is decent and the content is excellent.
To expand my library so i can create more characters.
The expression poses I purchased didn't work when the filter by content option was on, so finding the product I purchased was difficult.
Best for quick character development.
It's for a an advertisement project.
Love Daz! I would have extended the sale thru the weekend though... I probably would have bought more stuff :P
Creative inspiration!
What happened to the "go to the top of the page" button, very annoying not to have it when searching pages of items?
Price and availability
It's great and easy to find what you need, but sometimes it's a little pricey but overall it's great
Very much appreciate the integration between the e-commerce site and the 3D software. Very convenient.
For years now as a Daz Customer, I was hoping there would be a search feature in my wishlist. And more options in the general search.
Well I usually do a weekly shop on Daz if I find the right deal.
I'm always looking to render photorealistic characters.
When the hell are we getting Daz Studio 5.0 or any version really with better animation controls? Why is this so hard?
I love Daz 3D
No matter how much I love Daz 3D. Just one round of animation makes you hate it and swear to never use it again. Will you people please provide something workable for Animation please. LIke maybe in the upcoming Daz 5 at least...
I love Daz 3D
I love Daz 3D but seriously fix the damn animation tools. Like its about time already. Hoping that the new Daz 5 will finally come out with something decent in the animation space.
I love Daz 3D
Please please make it easier to find stuff on the site. It is a lot better now than what it used to be. But please make the search filters work properly as they are still inconsistent and depending on your search pathway you end up with different results to the same search criteria
I love DAZ 3D
I haven't had any issues over the years with purchasing from Daz. It usually goes very smoothly, which makes for a pleasant experience overall.
The sale is usually good and I look daily to find items that I want. Most of what I got today was free items, but one PC item I got, I plan to use it to create a gift image for my sister.
Most of what I got today was free, but "The Lapis Pyramid" I selected, I plan to use it to create a gift image for my sister. She loves Egyptian anything.
Format of current sale event is rancid. Needlessly excludes people who need to work or sleep. Contemptible.
Great website, but your promotions are too complicated. The punchcard took me a couple of minutes to figure out what it even did.
Mostly my points are related to the support apartment. If this had been more efficient, I would've given you five stars.
Out of pure habit. To me there are only two to choose from. Of course others have risen on the market. Still you and Renderosity are the to main players.
I find the default smiles in e.g. Victoria 7 & 8 kind of "goofy". As I strive for realism in my own work, I felt like I needed this one.
I always return here. You got quality and wit. A variety of interesting themes you come up with.
Just by habit...
It was free...
Love this place. I come here almost every day for purchases and art inspiration. Keep up the good work.
Because it is my goto 3D program to create artwork
Because I am working with the new Gen 8 characters and want to understand high-quality textures.
Kind of hard to decide on products when the forums are down since they serve as product reviews for me.
Because this is where I do most of my 3D asset shopping.
Because they're freebies.
Its really amazing... am so much interested in creating characters and thanks to Daz studio creators for such a wonderful creativity
I like to create 3d modals and making animations
Cause weekly freebies
Many items listed in various sales groups, are already purchased but do not show unless I specifically open each item individually and check
No way to filter store items to show "ONLY CONTENT I OWN" this means sifting through 304 pages@ 60 items per page (18K products) to find the ones I own to add #D printing licenses. Very cumbersome.
It is extremely cumbersome as a DAZ+ member to figure out which items are or are not eligible for use with either of my two coupons. Two simple icons, above each product indicating the coupon would apply or a cross out showing it doesn't would be very helpful
To make the most of my DAZ+ membership
An inspirational concept led me to find assets accordingly
