Daz3D has a rating of 2.6 stars from 1,448 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Daz3D most frequently mention sale items, and credit card problems. Daz3D ranks 570th among Graphic Design sites.
No complaints. I would like more categories at top navigation level. The listing facets are fine but cumbersome. For example, if I think there should be a category for your premiere product, Genesis 8.
Daz3d is a $#*!ty program that freezes up my computer. Avoid it. There are better programs out there.
Been a visitor and customer of DAZ since 2016 and have never had a negative experience. Always (or almost always) find something of interest to add to my collection while helping to support the many fine vendors and content creators here at DAZ.
Also love the DAZ Studio program for its ease of use and consistent stability and reliability. I use it and Poser regularly. I especially like the older legacy content which can be used in either program.
I check in fairly regularly and sometimes stumble onto one of your amazing sales (some of the best I've seen). If I see something interesting that I could use now or in the future, it's a done deal.
I always find something interesting to add to my collection. I especially like the older legacy products.
Spur of the moment. I check in periodically and sometimes encounter amazing sales. Though I just missed the DAZ Originals sale today. Oh well.
They were in my wishlist. Except for the Freebee.
Daz is reliable, quick, a super fun and amazing product when it comes to 3D artworks. Great for posing, creating simple scenes and geometries and exporting to another interface if you wish to do so. I tend to use DAZ to create Character Sheets to have a visualization of what my character would like (novels, visual novels, short stories) or add a visual element to my writing.
I needed new hairstyles for an upcoming character design.
Excellent shopping experience by far from Daz3D for 3D products. Each product is provided with a set of a lot of helpful information on what you are looking for regarding 3D rendering. Discounts for the products add the cherry on top as well as providing additional products that were used in the promotional images to further enhance the shopping experience. I highly recommend shopping at the Daz 3D store if you want 3D assets for your renders.
I chose Daz3D since Daz is beginner friendly and is a great start for me to begin my 3D renders.
I chose the products simply due to them tailoring specifically to what I want to create for my renders and are a perfect fit for my tailored creative taste.
A page of items In my wish list came up as 100% free. I thought this must be an error so I put some items in my basket and surely enough they came up in my basket at full price. I changed my password just for safety, then tried again to the same result. The error also lead to a oops page when thumbnail is clicked upon. Apart from this my normal basket order is fine thanks.
The sale and platinum club coupons.
Overall happy, but there are some website glitches from time to time, such as webpage loading from bottom of page on iPad devices, and basket error where item that is offered as free charges for item. Customer service is swift and usually responsive, although some tickets have not been responded to but this is rare.
I love shopping on DAZ website, and I particularly interested in todays offer.
Some items ai have been looking into over the past week for my art work have come on offer.
I am normally a very happy customer, but buying and installing Face Transfer Unlimited is extremely confusing. You are marketing that feature on Youtube so it's strange that it's so impossible to install. I purchased it but still it says "You have 3 Face Transfer saves" left. The Genesis 8 character also has a watermark in the forehead. I paid money but Daz Studio still thinks I have the free version.

I buy here and also on Reallusion's website.
They are beautiful
This is a company that seems to feel that customer service and tech support are completely unnecessary. The interface is somewhat difficult to sort out and although their pre rigged models sound great, It is difficult if not impossible to get them to load correctly. Attempting to then get help from DAZ after you discover that your purchase is not working puts you directly into telephone answering Hell where an operator informs you that they cannot connect you to anyone that can help. Instead they offer to submit a support request that they then inform you will take a week to get a response. This is not a good company to work with. I would suggest that they be avoided all together!
You've done a great job of making sure the newer products have product images in the "Support" folder that matches "... dsx" name. But there remains some that consumers still need to create themselves. Keep going, you're doing great.
Because I almost never buy from any other vendor. I want consistency and ease if I have to reconstitute my collection from nothing at all.
I chose several products because they were on sale. I usually wait until they fall below $6. In this last case, they were higher than that, but were on sale for 50% off and then another 25% off of that. Also, I needed the dirty dishes for a specific render idea.
Overall, great models---BUT I've noticed that many of the hair models have an ear exposed, with no morph to cover it over. Myself? I don't have an ear-fetish, but clearly someone does. Can a morph feature be included from now on for models like this? Having a choice is nice.
It didn't show one ear. It was just a good clean model.
I check in most evenings for flash sales. Recently, the button "Only Show wishlist" has disappeared from the filters available I try to wade through 53 pages of items for ones that are on my wishlist. But it's dreary business. So I haven't been buying much lately. Sure do miss that button. And Daz Deals.
Price. Trusted creators.
The search function is so awful that it doesn't find products even if you enter their names. (Try finding the dForce Magnet product by searching for it.) I'm pretty sure your conversion rate would go up if people could actually find stuff they wanted.
Want them for a specific project and waited for a good sale.
Search is so wonky — doesn't show items that I know exist, shows other items that have no relevance. Also, I hate the new product page format. I have to scroll to find basic information, dark mode is harder to read. Also, the new store page format is full of wasted space, since the side bar is short, but the entire space beneath it is blank. Super annoying.
Because I use Studio extensively at the moment, although I am working on moving my workflow to Blender.
I am constructing a specific scene and needed a specific prop.
I have loved Daz3D and have been a customer for many years. My biggest complaint is the cost involved with buying your products. Also, the change from 3D Delight to IRAY, which requires a Iray compatible graphics card, more memory and more processing power, is putting me out of business. Rendering time takes so long now, that any enjoyment I use to get from doing 3D art is replaced with frustration and irritation. This defeats the whole purpose of having this as a hobby, it isn't fun anymore. So, I'll soon be throwing in the towel and shutting down in the very near future.
If it wasn't for the daily freebies and deeply discounted sales items, I wouldn't have anything in my library.
I love Daz BUT the website is sooo frustrating! Takes so long to remove items (one at a time) or put into wish list. Clunky to learn which items in cart are ok to buy due to software, for example. Would love more info on how to use certain arcane products (whose documentation is just as confusing :/ Thanks for listening :)
I needed to buy something and make something on my laptop since can't go home to PC coz of hurricane.
I received an e-mail for "A Late Christmas Gift to me" with a coupon code for "$5 worth of free Daz Originals", the link in the email directs me to the main shop page. It has the standard restrictions: {Offer valid for intended recipients only. Excludes Gift Cards, Memberships, Licenses, FastGrab items, Daz+ items, and New Releases. Coupon code usable once per customer.} The code did not work. Others reported the same problem last night.
But when you got it working today the item I wanted was no longer a choice. That sucks. Got something else but not what I wanted!
A gift e-mail from you.
Daz is always a pleasure to use, it's the reason I purchase here exclusively. Lol it's why I've spent a bazillion dollars in your store. Times are hard right now so I've had to budget but I'm sure it will pass. Thanks for a truly fun hobby
As always what I want, and if I'm patient at a good price.
I was looking for a lot of the props in this file for a project I'm working on and the price was good..
I'm a big fan of Daz rarely a download, in fact only once and Daz Tech fixed in a few hours
Almost always Download Daz only a rare time or two I went elsewhere and that was because Daz didn't have what I needed
LOL cause it was free,
Daz is by far the best online store with regards to after sales, help, enquiries, refunds etc. However, the search function is not wonderful. Also, can we get the heart (add to wishlist icon) on the thumbnail. It's tedious to have to go into the item page only to click the heart. Another suggestion is to have a Merchant Resource only division somewhere. Some Merchants hide or don't state clearly whether a product can be used as MR or not. Please, this is a huge headache. It takes a long time to read the whole thing to still not be sure afterwards.
Thank you for all your friendly staff and wonderful products.
We love Daz
It was on special
I check every day, mostly to see if anything on my wishlist is on special. I also love the free items.
I used one of my monthly coupons, plus some of the items on my wishlist was on special.
I have no complaints. Thank you for all the holiday freebies and discounts
To see what's new and to grab my daily freebie.
It was on my wishlist.
Product quality varies a lot, or too much.
Just an example, I bought a tropical Island and almost everything is scaled wrong, furniture and bar is 30% oversized compared to 100% scaled models, it has floating shoreline foam that I can't adjust and trees that are half inside rocks. It's just messy and this could easily have been done better by the creator.
I also have a bunch of models with skins that don't have seamless genmaps.
I really miss reviews on the store pages.
Mobster room
Discounted and on my wishlist
DAZ 3D is very accessible, free to download, and has tons of models to use.
It is not a casual hobby, however. You will need to invest time, as you would in any art, to get good at it.
I'm a typical man: I like to skip the instructions. I highly recommend that everyone take the tutorials instead. They will improve your experience and help you with a steep learning curve.
The results, however, are fantastic--if you put the time in. Photorealistic models are achievable after you master the basics. People ask me if my renders are "real" and I'm just a beginner.
Final note: rendering is a long process, especially with an older computer. Please call my wife and explain to her that I need a faster computer with more memory.
The coupon codes did not appear to work correctly. Bundled items for a total of $2.79 did not ring up correctly.
Love fantasy and science fiction. Wanted to take advantage of 40% annual membership.
I've purchased quite a few assets for my 3d art and cinematics projects from Daz, and I've been happy with almost everything. When, on rare occasion, something didn't work well for some reason, they were friendly and promptly refunded me.
I can't "really" afford to pay full price for such things as often as I'd like, so the frequent sales are very helpful.
The search function is horrendous, it's next to impossible to easily find what you need. If it's even been categorized correctly, in addition there aren't sufficient filters. Why am I forced to scroll through three pages of unrelated content just to find a handbag?
Forced to use this software
I can't access the content that I spent lots of money on. Don't waste your time and money here. It worked fine, when I used Install Manager, but since it switched over to DazCentral, I haven't been able to use a lot of my stuff. There are a ton of similar complaints on the forum, but no concrete answers. I sent an email to them, and they responded that it would take them 4-6 WEEKS, before they could answer. I love how much work is put into the technology, but if users can't use it, then it's useless.
You all need to fix your web pages in the stor. It is near impossible t find an artist other than on the main search... not able to on a sale page. The page numbers are on bottom... you have yt scroll all the way down and then when you go to next page it starts at te bottom not top.
There is more but thats a good starter for you guys to fix
A bougt a free item
It was free
Changing the terms of an advertised sale during that sale (as was done twice today with the $5 featured sale) is despicable practice, and even against the law in some jurisdictions. This keeps happening, and it's unacceptable.
Dumb vapid question. Worse, it reveals that this satisfaction survey is just a phony exercise in marketing, and your department is too insincere to learn anything useful from user feedback.
I chose a bundle which was withdrawn from sale before I could finalize my purchase.
Great software for newbies to 3D designs - If you have any interest in learning how to create all of those cool 3D graphic effects you see in movies, this software can have you creating amazing landscapes and images in just a matter of hours. It really is quite amazing and you can merge these images with photoshop too. Bryce has been around for a long time and is extensively used by advanced amateurs to make 3D models. Poser is another application and is used to make very lifelike 3D human models. Anyone interested in learning more about this type of artwork should definitely try their software.
The discount never dropped from 12-14% after I made a purchase. Plus, I am not sure I am even getting the correct discount when they start to stack up. Somehow, 69% -15% -12% shouldn't amount to 79% and if it does, you are really misleading your customers.
The low price and iray compatibility. I dont buy anything unless its at least 70% off.
I never used this, but looking at the trailers and stuff around it it's some Roblox avatar editor clone for animating characters and made only for dancing?
This doesn't look fantastic, although the models are realistic and kinda good and they "are rigged", it's animations look choppy and clippy.
Thank goodness I've used blender for 7 months (today) and basically I've been learning rigging and modeling, I have models of them below me, but I just can't get the gifs to load :/

I agree that in the past there could have been more training information available. But, I want to report to you how things have changes in this respect:
- As this is free software, and we have literally hundreds of thousands of new users per year, doing live support on the phone is not an option. Although the support is not on the phone, it is generally very fast. 97% of all support tickets are now resolved in the first 24 hours, with 99% in the first 48 hours. Not bad for free software:)
- As you point out however, the biggest issue with prividing good support is to have enough information and resources so that the support ticket does not need to be created in the first place. To that end we have been focusing on providing much better material for people to learn the software. If you take a look at our Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/WWWDAZ3DCOM/videos you will see that there has been a flood of detailed tutorial videos posted over the last year.
Thank you for your comments. Give us another, look, I think you'll like what you find.
