Daz3D has a rating of 2.6 stars from 1,448 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Daz3D most frequently mention sale items, and credit card problems. Daz3D ranks 570th among Graphic Design sites.
No complaints. I would like more categories at top navigation level. The listing facets are fine but cumbersome. For example, if I think there should be a category for your premiere product, Genesis 8.
Daz3d is a $#*!ty program that freezes up my computer. Avoid it. There are better programs out there.
The asset system needs a better fix than daz central, needs more options on hiding content (like gen2) when your not using it. And Daz's integration of the assets are really a issue. Daz needs to know when its installed.
Better at scean setup and building than blender lol.
I was charged for a membership that I did not wish and I had to dispute to get my money back. They eventually refunded my money so they did the right thing, but you have to read carefully all the text as once you subscribe to their membership it will be auto-renew unless you cancel! If you paid with paypal, you must cancel on the paypal site as well as on the Daz site.
Their software is fun to use but if you really wish to enjoy it, you will need to buy more content and it is easy to spend a lot of money quickly that way. Good thing the software is free because that help a lot with cost of purchasing content. I bought for over 300$ of content so far. Just be aware of this. If you wish to try it at least it is free.
There were two items in my wishlist that were on sale, but as soon as I moved them to my cart, the sale disappeared. What would have cost less than $10 total now cost over $20, so I removed them from my cart and bought something else. Those two items now suddenly are no longer on sale. Not happy about this.
Wanted something else, but sale was removed mid-purchase so bought something else.
Thanks I find it helpful that the site shows what you need if you needs something first to use a product. That prevents you from buying stuff you end up unable to use and also enables to to plan what to get.
But I am still not clear about being able to use some of the older stuff like Gen 3 etc with later models.
Eg. Can I use the hair, faces and clothes of a Gen 2,3 etc with a Gen 8. I am guessing that you can if you have the Gen 8 already.
Needed some backgrounds to experiment with and some additional models to try out some ideas.
The discount helped a lot. Thank you
I think DAZ3d has saved my career :) I love the products. I love getting a good deal. I love being able to communicate with the designers for help and product requests. I think its run well, has efficient help turn around and exciting sales. Thank you :)
I'm buying something nearly everyday, but I received the $5 store credit and there was a sale :)
Extra Savings for DAZ + Members! Not. Pile stuff in cart. "Your cart in empty." Try again. "Your Cart is empty." Third time's a charm. "Your total DAZ+ Discount is 4%." Whoo-eeee! Who needs Fast Grab! On serious note, store incompetence is costing DAZ hundreds of dollars... Whoo-eeee! Chapter 11 with "Taffy" in charge!
ATI plug-in. Snag the stuff that's >65% off and forget playing games with store.:)
Search engine could be more like Google, Bing or DDG. Example: via web browser, type, "Steel drums" -music -instruments. Filters out those words. At DAZ store type, "Skirt" -dForce -Male -- This results in dForce skirts for guys topping results. 0_o!
Had bought incorrect 'tears' product. Can buy with confidence at DAZ (as opposed to other sites) because of sales support.
Usually quick and easy to find and buy. Shopping is orderly and usually the vendors have some sort of actual illustration of what the purchase will entail. However, on some occasions the vendor does artsy advertisement that says more about them than the object for sale.
Good prices, good quality, excellent customer service.
Good quality vendor.
I was in the process of buying quite a few items from your website, when suddenly most of the discounted prices were changed to full price. I had quite a job deleting all the items that I no longer wanted to buy.
The products that I actually bought, were mostly products which have been on my wishlist for a while and were now sold with a discount.
Selecting items was easy, however, sometimes the pricing changed when items where added to the cart. That was a little confusing. Also, I don't find the rules for MAD offers easy to understand, that could be improved.
I know DAZ to be a reliable partner, products are easily installed and D|S is free.
After several years not doing any CGI I had to start again. Since I'm a hobbyist cost for software is a factor, not having to purchase Poser12 is good. As I start 'fresh', some basics (poses, lights, smart-props) were required.
Daz Shop Products have an incredibly high quality in general and the plugins, scripts as well as templates are easy to use.
Moreover, thank you for providing Genesis 8 to Genesis 9 conversion products so quickly! As someone who mostly owns Genesis 8 products and is on a tight budget, the conversion products are incredibly helpful in using my library with the new Genesis 9 figures (which by the way is just amazing).
Sickleyield is one of my favorite PAs. Her creativity and technical knowledge really shows in all of her products. Her templates alone must be legendary.
Over all really happy. Only one thing and that is I'm curious if Daz Studio is going to make a tool similar to hexagon to make its software like a drafting program. So that no outside software is needed.
I like to but certain props.
Go there almost everyday.
Add to collection.
GREAT content. Daz discount plans (platinum club) are way to expensive. Every time you go to use the codes they don't work with the items you want to purchase. The plans should save you on every item not just select items.
Sale price on items. The prices for these models are crazy expensive any more.
Enjoyed browsing the available hair models for Genesis and V4. Do wish there was some more precise way to search, but that's quite impossible I'm sure, since artists will name styles as they choose and I've no idea what 'real' names might be, other than pony tails and Edwardian or Marie Antoinette.
I found several products that might do what I want, with a little tweaking I might be able to perform.
DAZ Studio is fun and easy to learn. I've used it for two decades and expect to continue for another. I'd love to see more options for selecting by figure group in the content management tools, for example, all content that functions with Victoria 3, all content that functions with Genesis 2, etc.
Several of the models attracted my attention.
Flexibility. The Egyptian temple has potential for becoming a Minoan temple with a few quick column flips and some new wall art.
Thanks for the reminder. I'd put that item into my cart a day or two back and forgot about it. Your reminder enabled me to take advantage of the sale price.
I like to use the DAZ Studio 'smart' object options while I'm composing an image. Hence, I tend to shop DAZ.
SpaceX seems poised for a very interesting 2022 and I will surely spin out a few asteroid images driven by their adventures.
I had some issue with my MasterCard (probably because it's rechargeable card), anyway I've used PayPal, but still an issue.
If you fear that there's no cash on it, just suspend the subscription to Daz+:)
For the rest all looks cool!
Needs more assets :))
While I wish there was option to search for something within a specific section (e.g. Textures within the Tutorial and Curricula section), navigating the site and finding what I wanted was quite painless.
I'm getting back into 3D rendering after a hiatus spanning a few years and my knowledge has dwindled. A tutorial sale was right up my alley.
So I bought Yujin thinking it would come with hair, only to find your selling that extra. The pictures are extremely misleading, and if you could be more forthcoming, with what is and is not included that would be great thank you.
Well I had to buy this hair, as it was not included with the previous model I bought Yujin, feel fairly ripped off in having to buy the hair separately. Perhaps you could sell bundles with everything in it, to be able to create the model you want.
Purchasing was easy, though I could see it being very expensive.
I want to get into modeling, though for what purpose I'm not sure.
I ordered and was charged for Victoria 9 Bundle but it doesn't show up anywhere (except my Visa card). Trying to figure out how to download it I wound up paying for it again! I still cannot figure out how to download it. It does not show up in my DAZ Central or my Install Manager. Please help!
I like it. With all the free stuff and all the great stuff on Daz's site it's really fun to play with and it's addicting and as a old blender fan and XPS fan you can endlessly bring models into daz and render them. I have made some amazing pictures and i'm really just getting started yet.
Always looking for very unique fantasy figures and i liked all the options for a low price.
One big thing i think the store would benefit from is saying when a sale will end. In a sense i supposed the reason that its not done yet is to give me/customer a sense of urgency but id be big into adding a timething to say when it ends
Well these are free license cause of deal but id say in general cause im super interested in 3d printing and in general getting ideas out into things
Love the store, but NFT marketing is very off-putting. Also, recent updates to the store UI have made the shop difficult to use on a desktop PC. Otherwise, prices are still good, many products are of high quality, and the Genesis 8 character platform remains powerful and versatile.
Still the best storefront for Daz Studio compatible content, so far. Daz Studio remains great software for realistic 3D character art.
Shader presets from the vendor "Censored" are a great value and look very realistic. Otherwise, products had big discounts and were a great value.
I was very unhappy with the program. The figures were stiff and hard to pose. The figures would warp and twist. Even the simplest of poses were hard to create. The bodies felt unnatural and were pretty much useless as art reference.
I contacted their tech help about the problem over the course of several weeks but they were no help as they had no answers for me to fix the problems.
I have received several emails from your website, but when I visited your website graphics, it was really impressive and I was impressed with you, but your services will not continue due to your website's low speed.
The new preview of the sales cart makes it extremely difficult to see required products for items added. It used to be much easier when the preview only showed the current item being added instead of all of them.
I check Daz3D for current sales pretty much every day.
I had a coupon and the item had been on my list for a while.
Free program with a lot of contents! Wonderful figures and yes if you want more you must buy, but hey! There are a lot of things great site! Really love all the stuff there, the TOONS are awesome! And plus a lot of free items! Great website!
The assets are quality, but the prices have become pretty ridiculous. A hundred plus dollars for a pro-bundle? Those are some pretty expensive assets. I only buy, when there are sales, now. Too expensive.
I liked the asset and it was on sale.
It's easy to navigate and all the products are top-quality, but it's just way too expensive, hence why I only by discounted items.
You should also stop the practice of charging extra for product textures. This is just not good value for money.
In fact, it's a pretty blatant rip-off, imo.
It's what I've been using to create images for the last three years, or so.
It's something I can make use of and it's 30% off. As I said, I only buy discounted items. The normal prices are way too expensive. I. e. Your pro bundles. Who can afford those prices?

I'm sorry to hear that this was your experience. We take the level of realism and quality in our figures very seriously. For this reason they are used to simulate real human figures for CGI effects in large production movies such as Jurassic World, Iron Man, and many others. But your point is valid. It is difficult to create a software experience that allows all of the nuances of posing a human figure in a realistic way. Although we strive to make this experience as good as possible, it definitely is not for everyone. I hope that you have been able to find a software experience that you feel is a better experience for you.
