No complaints. I would like more categories at top navigation level. The listing facets are fine but cumbersome. For example, if I think there should be a category for your premiere product, Genesis 8.
Daz3d is a $#*!ty program that freezes up my computer. Avoid it. There are better programs out there.
Since the store switched over during the PC+ sale, Daz has been really, really slow to load for me, and none of the fixes that should work to eliminate the error have worked. When I use the store, I now make sure I have another tab up because some days, it takes so long to navigate between pages that I'm surprised it doesn't time out.
Because I've been using Daz a lot more than Poser lately and because I don't like what I'm hearing about how Renderosity is treating artists.
It was on sale and I had store credit.
I'd like to see sales last for longer & change less frequently, a faster shopping cart (adding/removing items in bulk is slow), a better recommendation engine (why aren't iray/texture addons recommended?), and the ability to provide feedback on purchased items.
No real competition.
Frustrating!. I went to my wishlist, filtered low to high, clicked on an item to add to cart, then it threw me to a checkout landing page with no option to continue shopping. So i went back to my wish list added another. Then my previous item was gone! I was ready to buy a lot and could only buy 2 items! It should have let me continue shopping and hold my items in the cart. Not remove them whats going on!
The discounts on all my wishlist items... but failed to get them to the cart.
Coupons are frustrating. With the 80% off today, it says "up to 8 items." I went to the sale page, selected eight items, but only four had the discount. Some items seemed like they should be valid, but wouldn't discount even when they were one of the FOUR items. I wish it were more clear how to take advantage of the sale. I would end up buying more stuff if I could get things to work the way I expect them to.
The new layout of the pages for shopping, where it opens a new tab for that specific sale? While the new search features are welcome (still incomplete, but welcome), the checkboxes for things like wishlist only take an excessively long time to load. Like maybe 1 to 2 minute wait before it shows up on a refresh.
Because I choose Daz3D EVERY day, Pinkie...
Price points were acceptable and they were assets I could imagine using.
DAZ is easy to use and can get where I want with the least amount of clicks - which is important. The less time I have t click to see what I want, the better. DAZ makes it easy to see items and checkout.
Learning. Also wanting to do cool things.
The things that needs to be fix to make it easier to buy from you is that products you own in a bundle, should be auto refunded or discounted when you buy a bundle. It made me now skip a few bundles, because it was to annoying. You would have more people buying bundles or separate items in bundles without fear if you knew it wouldn't ruin a sale or make the sale less valuable for you in the future.
Now you mostly need to pick if you want the bundle or separate items.
I know that sometimes you have a deal that items you own will be discounted, but that should always be active.
You can even pick bundles you own everything in and still place it in your basket. So then you would be paying for nothing. Also if I have items from the bundle in my cart, then I have to take a lot of time to sort away the duplicates instead of having the store do it for me. Which sometimes makes me not want to buy to much, because it becomes a time consuming hustle.
Items I wanted were on a good sale (a price I saw them to be worth). That is it.
I got an email with a new release - Sci-Fi Rusty Railyard - I clicked the link and arrived at daz.com. The item was 100% off FREE. I put it in my cart and found it was 48% off and now $20.95.
So I was kinda disappointed
Email advertising from Daz.com
Sales are too complicated, and I have no interest in 90% of the 'new items' required to unlock discounts. I have a massive wishlist, which I suspect will remain largely unchanged due to the new sales strategy.
I had a gift of Paypal credit, a V4 skin I wanted to put on a G2 morph, and an afternoon off. You got lucky;-)
When I added one of my monthly coupon codes, the total payment amount didn't change, so I didn't know if the discount was applied until after I proceeded to checkout. Also, I wasn't sure which of my monthly coupons to apply, so I added both - but neither one was indicated as having been accepted. It turned out that one of them was applied, but I don't know which one it was. This was very confusing to me! I wish this had been more clear.
The products were on sale.
Not a huge fan of the new cart layout. Less of a fan of constant "sales" that put content at about what the regular price of a cart would have been a couple of years ago. I find a lot less motivation to buy from DAZ3d and end up at Rendo and other sites more often now.
Just checking to see if any decent sales show up.
They were free - so why not.
I love Daz very much. The only thing I wish is that all characters could be used for genesis 8. And I wish all characters had different skin options. Like PBR or UBER. Other than that Daz is fun to use!
I like the way the models looked.
Money thrown away and cheating, they keep selling products on the site that need to buy plugins to work, then you will see that there are no more plugins for sale, masters at selling products that don't work, sell products that only work using other products on the site that just disappear from the site, burning money is more fun and less stressful than buying products from that company!
The change of the shop design was needed and resulted in an horrible shopping experience, as the design might work for smartphones, but is bad when shopping with a PC. Check the reactions in the thread in the forums for many details
Checking the page daily for deals
Because they are free
I really like the new storefront though I have mentioned it before. I would like to see however, a revamp of the "Daz Central" app as I find that it could sort my TON of content much better than it currently does.
I've quite given up on the sorting capabilities of DAZ studio itself and find myself using the daz central app to find stuff for me.
The Daz Central app gives me much bigger pictures than the daz program itself.
Sale pirces.
Price for the quality.
The Sales prices have gotten riduculously small.
The search engine has gotten more finicky and the filters are hit and miss. (Such as you can't search for environments, animals and architecture or shaders on a sales page (or any other non-specific page) because there is no filter or search term for it, other than if you know the name. It used to be that you could use the search term "N/A" and that would at least filter you down to a manageable level on sales pages to find any of the above, non-character offerings.
It's been on my wishlist for a while. The sale price was higher than 70% with the coupon, and I happened to have money.
Working pretty well, I'm not fond of the way that the category heads are bunching up.
Great prices - and things I have on my wish lists.
New website design is not good. Thumbnails are too small, with too much wasted space on the sides. I can't see the product unless I visit the page, and I do not have the time to visit all of them just to see if I want to look at them.
Always take the freebies
Its all ways great here at daz
Daz is like going into a poster or comic book shop and seeing what you like but your making and picking what you like and making that artwork you have all ways dreamed of whats whats so great at daz your dreams of making artwork never ends, seeinf what others make gives you the drive to want to make your own artwork
It looks really cool
Thank you
I feel that I do get quality products through DAZ Shopping. Products are pricy due to the exchange rate between US $ and AU $ but I make use of discounted products to reduce the impact. So please continue with the discounts. Thanks
Discounted pricing.
Well Organised website. Quick and easy
Good discount on price.
They will up and cancel orders at random and it was very weird it was an ethnic items that was removed I guess they felt I was using it too much and they canceled my order for no reason and no email or explanation. I always heard they were racist I never believed it but after this, I am a believer now. I paid and it came off my atm card as paid and they just up and deleted my order for no reason.
I have been using daz 3d for over six years and i may have spent 100 bucks out of pocket for content i just had to have. Daz3d has free content available if you go to the search bar and type in 100%. Most newbies dont know that. Also daz has specials i have gotten several of the bundles for free you just have to be able to check frequently. I have never had a bad experience with customer service, i bought my first content and it wouldnt download and daz worked with me until we figured out it was my firewall preventing it. I highly recommend daz3d. I do wish there was an auto rigging feature like on maya but oh well, maybe in the future?
For some reason this week you have an error in your "DAZ FREEbies", there is one item in there with a steep discount, but isn't actually free despite being included there. "Elemental for Aloisia" is 90% off making it $1. As I said allready, nice sale price, but not free.
I always try to grab what I can from the DAZ Freebies section for when I can get a better computer and can run DAZ Studio again.
Love the variety of the products offered and many of the Vendors are outstanding; however, having been with DAZ now for so long there are 2 things that really UPSET me: 1. With every new release you either have to buy the same products over again updated for current release or wait for a converter product; 2. My DAZ program takes almost 10 minutes to launch due to the number of purchased morphs - this is the only software that I own that actually punishes me for making more purchases; this needs to be fixed - very bad business model.
Aeon Soul is a FANTASTIC vendor making EXCELLENT Poses, Clothes and Morphs - I but nearly everything he has made.
Very addicting website it's amazing how far the world of 3d modeling has come you guys are 10x better than every other 3d marketplace combined.
Request: I would like, even if it's a module or some product you have to grab on the store, a powerful tool for modeling and painting my purchased shaders onto a model. I know you can do it pretty easily in blender but Daz is just so much cleaner.
Also see if it's possible to add a motion blur to your images like in the old days?
Also more barbarian stuff!
Good sale! Long time customer.
Almost perfect. I love the dynamic clothing. It should be extended to the hair (with maybe an easier way of dForcing the hair). In my opinion, one of the feature I liked a lot in Cinema4D was the particles emitter (wind/fire) / hair/fur / grass, and it's maybe one of the missing thing to make it perfect. But I still love this product.
Enrich my collection with some free items. As a hobbyist, I don't have penitence for 3D sculpting. All free stuff is nice for playing around with that software.
