I'm a new user. Never sold clothes online before. I posted some shoes. And then get banned with no reason and no notice. Customer service won't tell you anything or help you. They just say "final correspondence".
I wish I would have read the other bad reviews before ordering. Seller never communicated or shipped item. I'm wondering if it was a scam. I had to call paypal to get a refund.

Someone calling herself Princess, obviously with delusions of grandeur, said I'd got multiple Depop accounts and closed my account. They admitted it was untrue but still have not reinstated my account AND MONEY IS MISSING! Terrible reviews on Twitter and Trust pilot, people are fuming. Depop act like children having tantrums with no Management control.

The worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. They banned me by mistake and refused to fix it. When u email them they just copy and paste responses
I am a successful seller on on Poshmark, Mercari and Curtsy app. My daughter wanted to try to sell on Depop. She set up her account, verified her PayPal and listed a few items. After one item sold, she was unable to generate a shipping label. We tried everything, including going to Depop Facebook message board and contacting Depop customer service by email. Meanwhile we had no answer for the buyer since we could not get an answer from customer service or help through the message board. After two days we messaged the buyer to look us up on another app and buy it there. Usually just mentioning another platform or taking a sale off platform Will get you banned or at least a warning. At this point we didn't even care. It has been over five days without an answer from Depop. I'm sure, once they get to her email, they will see the communication. Who knows, maybe in two months? I can't even imagine what would happen if you would receive an item that is not as described and there is no way you can a hold of anybody and your money gone. Or you make a nice sale and I have to cancel it because Depop customer service cannot help you at all! TERRIBLE! It's also very confusing, as the information how do use the app jump back-and-forth or include information for the website in Great Britain.

I opened an account in the early days of its setup and bought over 100 items for my daughters without any issues. I decided to sell on here a couple of years ago and was great to start with but recently it has gone to pot. They suspend your account Willy nilly and even if you are correct they just act like they are doing you a favour and letting you off with a 3 week suspension. It doesn't matter how much you report someone for selling fakes they don't do anything. Another site I sell on encourage stock photos when items are new but on depop they close your account. I accused them of being ageist as I used a model photo and they encourage you modelling your own. I cannot model them as most are kids and very small sizes. I once used my daughter to model some but just kept getting gross messages from 'boys'. I mentioned to one lad that I was in my fifties and it is my daughter and he just told me to tell her she has a fit body. I quickly removed all photos of her. Out of probably 50 accepted offers I would say 2 have paid so that feature is pretty pointless, and don't get me started on the idiots who offer 10% of the asking price. It could be such a great site if they stopped favouring the big volume sellers of tat and focused more on the small sellers of quality. Oh, and the constant having to bump listings is a royal pain in the but

A buyer claimed item was not authentic. I sent two proofs of authenticity. They told me they hadn't received any and are threatening to charge my card in less than 48 hours. I WILL be contacting my bank and I WILL be getting my money back. I have NEVER written a bad review although DEPOP deserves this. Stick to Etsy or Ebay guys. DEPOP just takes money from you with extremely high charges and lack of customer service. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. I have deleted my account and I encourage EVERYONE to stop selling on depop. THEY CANNOT GET AWAY WITH THIS.

In theory Depop is a good idea, however, it needs it's users to abide by the rules. At the moment Depop claims they are a simple marketplace, because of this their customer service is awful and any problems have to be raised through Paypal. Unlike eBay they don't have a resolution center, or any of the same buyer protections in place. The main problems with Depop is that items just stay listed on the app, there is no expiry. I have found that i have bought things from people who no longer have the app or have changed their email, so the items don't arrive. I've also bought counterfeit items listed as genuine and have had a nightmare getting my money back. Another thing is that there are a lot of teenage girls who are selling on this app, they don't necessarily know how to correctly list and describe items and so I've also bought items which have not been described correctly. If you are a buyer, just beware. Before you buy, ask questions and make sure the seller is still using Depop. For now i've stopped using the app, just because of all the problems i was having. If they make improvements like sort out their customer service, offer buyer protection, make tracking information available for items, then i may start using it again. But for now, my advice is to stay away and use eBay.

Absolutely disgusting customer services. All for the buyer and not the seller. Take 2-3 days to respond to emails then when I do I get 2 different responses. A buyer claims my item was not as described and got there money back I left feedback which was removed. They don't care that this buyer buys all different sizes on Depop claims there money back and re-sells on the same site. How can they let fraud like this happen on their site they need to take responsibility! AVOID SELLING ON HERE CAUSE IN THE END YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY.
This app is terrible and beware that they will randomly delete your items/ account without reason and the app itself crashes all the time when I try to open it. As a seller, i can say the whooping 10% is beyond ridiculous and the fact that my items, despite me obeying all their rules about posting items still get deleted randomly. I had a top listed for sale for months and no issues, attracted so many likes and attention and received countless messages about the item and next thing i knew it was randomly deleted because I had apparently disobeyed their policy.
Speaking of policy, their policy and protection for sellers are also joke. For anyone wanting to buy off depop, make sure the seller is doing tracked postage because if they're not and your item(s) get lost you won't get your money back because depop has 0 support for buyers at all.
If poshmark was available to australians, you'd never see me selling anything on depop. You're better off trying to sell your items on gumtree or Facebook for interest free or poshmark and eBay for less than a 10% fee. This app is an absolute joke, the people running it are just looking after themselves and trying to take the most they can from you to fill their own banks - absolutely disgusting.

If someone doesn't like u or u don't accept their lowball offer, be prepared for them to report your items, and for customer service to keep threatening you. Many people can be posting the same things as you, but you get threatened and items deleted. Customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. They don't care about their sellers AT ALL. They punish you based on false accusations. I've sold over $300 of stuff this week on there yet they are threatening to ban my account bc of a false claim. Not a company I want to be profiting off of me, another platform that treats sellers with respect will gladly take my money. Not to mention, buyers are scammed so frequently and don't see their $$$ back, but they don't do anything about THOSE sellers. Depop you are THE WORST I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Customer service sucks to high heaven. They make charges against your bank with no explanation. There's no way to contact or ask questions besides some flaky help desk support link. Purely sucks
I recently purchased a Chanel shirt that ended up fake. The seller agreed to refund the purchase and provided his return address for shipment. 10 days later I received a ln email from depop warning me that my account would be compromised if I don't return the fake shirt promptly. The email said my shipping cost will be refunded when a receipt is sent. After going through the hassle and sending the fake shirt, I provided the receipt as requested, in response I was forced to give a PayPal of my own or a relatives account even though instead of my original form of payment. I don't like using PayPal and I never receive any funds through this account. The process is a pain in the ars. And definitely not worth my time and effort,
I have not received my refund yet and retrospect I should of just tossed the shirt as it is legally required and closed my account to avoid further threats. Who needs the hassle of a botched refund system and non ethical requirements. The seller should not sell fake items, it is not my responsibility to go out of my way to fix it. If they want a fake item they should send a return shipping label and not bother shoppers.

I have purchased several items in the past some have been great and some not it really depends on specific item and seller. I have had. Few terrible experiences and the method for resolving the issues is exhausting and I never received my return shipping even though it was promised.
Got barca jersey that was real surprisingly but it reek put through the wash it all good but there needs to be a middleman system so they don't accidently sell some illegal stuff plus from what i herd a lot of fake get through so wouldn't recommend to anyone even ebay is better about this stuff if you want find something for the low don't go here go to a list of trusted EBAY sellers for the item you want i got lucky dont take the gamble
I cant even search on the app because of the amount off glitching and the thumbnails are very small so you cant really see what you are looking at, and I have a LARGE phone.
I had high hopes for this app but ended up very disappointed.
I enjoy Depop as it easy to sell on and usually great. The only issue I have is their support, it's absolutely insane that such a large company handling peoples money does not have a direct phone line. I had an issue of missing payments and contacted Depop who said to email them but also you can message them on twitter, I did both of these things. On twitter they just responded and said to email them… I received an automated response that did not answer anything and I've been waiting for a real person for three days now. Previously I had an issue where I didn't recognize a charge on my bank account. They assured me they would never charge my bank account directly and told me to ask PayPal. PayPal said it clearly is a charge from depop as it only says DEPOP. When I asked them again to explain what the charge is they just stopped responding. Once things get difficult and they actually have to use their brains for a problem they go silent. Absolutely ridiculous, why am I giving them 10% of each of my sales if they can't even help. I'll never get the $11 from the missing sale because I can't prove that I refunded the buyer because they can't tell me where the money went.

Depop refused to reinburse money after seller disappeared, the only communication from them stated that I needed to contact a different department which proved impossible. £70 out of pocket.

Yeah it's great, there's hella thrifted clothes go buy however the creators of the $#*!ing app and the support team are absolute TRASH.
TWICE now I've purchased items and didn't receive them and Depop refused to help because it had been over 90 days. I buy a lot of stuff online and I'm not one of those people who tracks every second of the shipping, so I get that I need to be more careful. But if two items in my receipts still say "waiting to ship" wouldn't that be a shop issue and not with me?
Point is there is no customer support team. I would highly encourage everyone to stay off this app UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR MONEY STOLEN!
I even tried leaving feedback for the shop and THEY TOOK IT DOWN. Literally there's no justice in this at all for me, only for the shop, and now they've kept my money.

Bought an item from someone, only for them to message me and say they never had it. They also "didn't know how to give a refund" despite being on the app for two years. Then they disappeared off into the sun.
I contacted Depop immediately with screenshots of everything, only for them to tell me that I needed to wait a week to file a report, THEN they would message the seller asking them to issue a refund. They wanted t give a blatant scammer a chance, despite them literally saying they wouldn't refund me.
There is NO buyer protection whatsoever. By far the worst customer service I've ever dealt with, I genuinely have a hard time believing these a humans handling complaints and not bots. Now, I'm stuck filing a dispute with my bank and the Better Business Bureau. After years of being on Depop, I'm done. I never have these issues with Poshmark, eBay or Mercari.
If you want to scam someone on Depop, please have at it. You'll get free money, and Depop will do absolutely nothing to stop you.

Terrible website/app, the staff take 3 weeks to reply and ignore your emails. My account also got banned after I helped a transgender person with advise on what to wear with a skirt. Do not use!
I have used depop for 3 years now. I have been scammed numerous times, and lost money every single time. Depop does not have customer service or support. They will email you only to say there is nothing they can do, not matter what the problem is! Even if they AGREE that you were wronged, you are 100% S. O. L.
Buyers and sellers scam you with INCREDIBLE EASE. If you don't pay with paypal, you will lose MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF MONEY.
Customer support is NON EXISTENT. All they know how to do is say "sorry there's nothing we can do!"
They play favoritism HARDCORE with their older accounts. I have only been put on the explore page twice in three years, I take amazing photos, and I've sold over 300 items. But still, I am never featured on the explore page. If I could, I would warn EVERY depop seller to stay away. They do not care about you at all.
I bought a pair of headphones. From Chanel Burns, never received the item. Depop did nothing about it. Don't buy in Depop. Never answer my emails, just disappear. Don't buy from this girl.
