I was LCHF before the Diet Doctor site began, and had already dropped the 10kg that i had been struggling with for decades. So I was really delighted when it got underway. It's a true one-stop shop, with videos, films, recipes, success stories and most importantly, activism. The calm, respectful and evidence-based approach is excellent. I love it, just wish you could get a cheaper annual rate.
I am mathematician with interest in diet, nutrition and staying healthy.
I have known texts/books/videos from Dr. Lustig (Sugar), Gary Taubes (good calories, bad calories) and Nina Teicholz (dietary guidelines) and was surprised to find them and others I appreciate on this website. I have studied interviews and presentations during the last weeks and I am convinced that this is one of the best websites on diet and health. My advice: use the 30 days free trial, check the information this website provides, compare it to other sources, ask questions and decide yourself.
I believe that DietDoctor.com is an incredible resource for those trying to understand and adopt keto and/or low carb. The amount of free information is substantial and wonderful for those who cannot afford to purchase content they need to improve their health. I'm impressed with the recipe functionality of changing the amount of people being served as well as settings for the metric or Imperial system. I purchased the monthly membership and have become more advanced in my knowledge of intermittent fasting and nutrition.
I'm a nurse and this site has been a great resource for me on my keto journey. I have lost 5 sizes in the last year, have put my diabetes into remission, and got my fatty liver under control. I have so much energy and am not crippled by arthritis and fibromyalgia any more. There are no ads on the site, so you can count on the authenticity of the information - no one is trying to sell you their products. The doctors and other advisors on the site are the world's leading experts and also live the diet... they eat the same way. The advice is based on actual science and is not biased. Even though I don't use the site as much as I did in the beginning, I keep up with my subscription to support it so that others can benefit. I recommend it first to any friends or family who want to change their health for the better.
It was just by good fortune that I stumbled across the Diet Doctor site a few years ago.
I was desperately looking for help to lose weight and manage my blood sugar. I was so impressed by the simple, clear and honest information on LCHF. I began right away and was amazed by the good results. I was a woman in my late 60's and had been over weight for years. I lost over 50 pounds, and now have normal blood glucose readings. The Diet Doctor site continues to grow and improve. I love it. I have recommended it to friends and family without hesitation.
I love the recipes and have tried many of them. The site is packed with lots of information and interviews and testimonies from a variety of people. The low-carb diet along with intermittent fasting is now being proved by clinical test and results by scientist and health professionals around the world to be a healthy option for longivity, weight loss and health.
There are a lot of other website out there. However, Diet Doctor is the best website if you want to learn how to do the diet properly. If you take your time and watch all the video, you will get clarity of how to do the diet and why you needed it. It's just like a giant mall with everything you can imagine and need in it.
I have spoken with so many people who's first complaint about Keto is it is too hard. I point everyone to this website and its information. I even spend a bit of time assisting folks to get started. This site makes understanding and implementing a low-carb/keto lifestyle easy... and tasty. I have successfully removed 60lbs from my frame and have kept it off for over a year with no looking back and no real struggle. It is high time for me to add a bit of movement to my lifestyle but it was not necessary with the info provided here.
Diet Doctor provides a solid, evidence-based overview of how to eat a low-carb, high-fat, moderate protein diet (LCHF). It is run by a panel of doctors, and they encourage users to work with their own doctors in pursuing their health goals. In addition, they're a great source of LCHF recipes. I regularly send friends to this site for a good, basic overview of this way of eating.
I was diagnosed as a Type II diabetic in late 2015. The staff at my local NHS GP surgery recommended the standard NICE schedule of treatment, i.e. consume 1/3rd calories from carbs, low saturated fat etc., and take tablets for the rest of your life.
Web research led me to Diet Doctor, where I found a wealth of good science about the carb intolerance I have, and how to change one's lifestyle so as to hold the condition in check. I have followed the advice from Diet Doctor since 2015, changing my caloric intake to 80:15:5 (fat:protein:carb), with additional fasting. At my last three-monthly HbA1c check, my Diabetic Nurse said "I wish all my patients were like you".
Diet Doctor Team, thanks for all you do.

Answer: This is a keto low-carb diet, similar in many ways to other strict low-carb diets. This is an approach that has been extensively tested in dozens of high-quality studies, that have shown that it results in more weight loss, less hunger, and potentially increased metabolic rate. At Diet Doctor, we work to make low carb simple. And everything you need is available for free, forever. Our premium services are also free for a month. Answer: $9 per month according to the site. Hope that helps.
Answer: Hi Deborah! We don't sell or recommend specific supplements. Our premium program is free to try out for a month, after that it's USD 9.99 per month or 99 dollars per year. Losing weight happen at individual speeds that can not be predicted in advance, but realistically and long term 1-2 pounds per week is a very good result for a sustainable and enjoyable plan. That would thus take around 30 months at that speed, and the total cost of using our program for those 2.5 years (after the free trial) would be 250 dollars on the monthly plan or somewhat cheaper on the yearly plan. Best, Andreas Eenfeldt

Losing weight happens at individual speeds that can not be predicted in advance, but realistically and long term 1-2 pounds per week is a very good result for a sustainable and enjoyable plan.
