“I received a gift certificate for a restaurant that...”

I received a gift certificate for a restaurant that went out of business before the coupon expired. I contacted diningcertificates.com numerous times to request an exchange, so I could use the coupon at another restaurant. They never returned any of my emails. Although I used all the contact information on their website, it was impossible for me to reach anyone there, and the $50 gift ceritificate ultimately went in the garbage, after a year of trying to resolve this.
