HD picture is no better via satellite upgrade. Cost went up. Quality went down due to a black/gray horizontal Genie bar cutting off the top part of the screen. So, I am paying more for less picture. Often heads of people or words on screen are blocked. Bad! & no fix.
DIRECTV can't get their s*** together. Three different channels I wanted to watch today were unavailable because contracts had expired. It would be different if this weren't a common place event. Sort out your business dealings. Doing anything else shows you have zero regard for your customers. This has everything to do with corporate profits at the expense of customers. 1 star, only because zero is not an option. Do not recommend.
I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER OF DIRECTV FOR SOME TIME. I CAN'T GET SOMEONE TO SPEAK TO ME CORRECTLY. I SEEM TO ALWAYS HAVE TO REPEAT MYSELF WHEN I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ALSO WANTED A SITE VISIT TO REPOSITON BY SATELLITE DISH, WHICH MOVED BECAUSE OF THE WIND. AND THEY ASK ME TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE, I SPEAK TO JEAN WHO KEPT SAYING IM SORRY, OR I CAN'T HEAR YOU.
IF THEY GET THEIR HEADSETS OUT OF THEIR EARS MAYBE THEY COULD HEAR. I SERIOULSLY MISS DISH NETWORK. I NEED MY TV FOR MY CHILDREN, I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER.

SERIOUSLY CONSIDER BEFORE GETTING INTO DIRECTV.

USE A CREDIT CARD FOR ALL TRANSACTIONS WITH DIRECT TV. I cancelled them in January with an end date on Feb 15th. I had a $14.58 credit as indicated on my February statement, March statement, April statement, May staement and June statement. They flat our refused to refund my money. I filed a credit card dispute and (im guessing) it went to arbitration and I won. They had to refund my money. My recommendation is to use a credit card when you make payments because if you dont, you will have to pay all lawyer and court costs yourself.
They used to be decent but i guess they are like everyone else in the world since covid began(want money for nothing) bill was $108/month then got a bill for $180/month so i told them to cancel everything and they said they could give us a special rate at $151/month. I told them that was still to high just to cacel everything. They told me to return my equipment in so i wouldn't get charged anymore. A week went by it was still on so i called them again and told them i wanted it turned off, this time they told me that i was still under contract(which i am not) but i would rather pay a little bit than to have to pay a lot for this crap. I will never have Directtv again.

After buying a condo and the HOA canceling our Satillite DTV service we were forced to get stream. Of course I am a loyal Direct TV customer over 15 years so I get set up. The rip of is THEY NEVER MENTION a 24 month agreement to purchase thier box which by the way hardly gets service and often goes out! AND they told me I could get NFL network and Sunday Ticket which is a lie you CANNOT GET NFL anything! F**K these sorry a** rip offs buy anything else spend your hard earned money elsewhere they will not treat you right they sucker you into a YEAR agreement and DON'T say anything about that till you want to cancel

I had DIRECTV for over 2 years and my bill was always high. After my 2 year contract was up I lowered my package to the lowest one they have. It was supposed to be $107 a month plus the taxes and equipment fees. I figured my bill would be less than $150 a month. I'm a single woman and at times struggle to pay my bills so in November my service was shut off for non payment. I paid the whole bill to have service restored and my tv was back up and running. The next bill I got was for $44.00. I paid $50. The very next bill was $272. I didn't pay it and didn't get around to calling them to question it. The next bill comes due which made my balance $424. I called them to question it and the guy in the line said the billing was right and blamed it j by he way I pay my bill. I replied that that would be almost 4 months worth of billing and there was no way they would let me go 4 months without paying. He was very crappy with me and said I was being billed right. I asked to cancel my service and he transferred me to a lady that kept trying to talk me in to staying and I told her if they could get their head out of their $#*! with their billing I would change my mind but at this point I'm just done with them! My service was supposed to be shut off January 25th but it was shut off January 13th for non payment. I didn't even call to argue, I don't have the energy for their bull$#*! anymore!

Direct TV is a WAY overpriced rip off service. $140 a month for local tv and very few other channels. We are looking for another service and after 16 years we are DONE with Direct.
They are little high but they way better then Comcast and if there a problem they try to fix it so if I had to choose Comcast or direct tv definitely direct tv!
Had a problem with our dish. They called to fix it. Said they'd show up. Took off work. They were a no show. 2 days in a row. No show. I called. Said. I'm canceling. Spent 6 hrs on the phone. Told them to cancel my service. They said they would. Yet. Didnt. Kept charging month after month on my bill. Trying to steal from me after I calcelled. TALK ABOUT LAZY CROOKS! THANK GOODNESS FOR CHARGE BACKS ON CREDIT CARDS! OR THEY WOULDVE JUST TOTALLY RIPPED ME OFF. CANT CALL OR TALK TO THEM. CROOKS!
Do NOT use directv 3 weeks in a row nothing but problems with sunday ticket. Sunday ticket was the only reason why i got directv. September 20th 2020 i purchase sunday ticket worked great. September 27th came couldnt watch sunday ticket was saying i had to purchase sunday ticket which i already did already. I had to call and talk to someone and say my service that i pay for doesnt work. I was on the phone with them for 45mins and they fix it. Today is sunday the 3rd comes and try to watch nfl ticket and the same message comes up that i had to purchase it again. Call up again waited another 1hr and a half on the phone the super was supposed to call me never did and i have to call back and now its another 1rd and 30 mins and counting they still dont know what the $#*! is wrong. $#*! them

The very worst TV provider removed many channels with no reimbursement, extremely dissatisfied to say the least 8 yr customer, must have been crazy!

The equipment is rather well made and you won't need tech support too much. They stick to their advertised price and have hidden charges.
Started w/Directv in June 2022-salesman lied about sign up discount, every day or two have to reset box and now, to top it off, they've gone WOKE! Censoring NEWSMAX was the last straw!

We have three services with AT&T, our wireless, internet and TV. When AT&T stream changed over to Directv, another account was created without our knowledge. About three weeks ago, my husband I noticed that there were double charges made to our bank account from Directv Stream. When we first noticed the double charge, we reached out to Directv to see why. They told us that we had two accounts. We started to look back at the charges and realized that we had been double charged all of last year. Directv had no issues with refunding us our money from August to December of last year, however, they said because we had reached their maximum of what they could refund to us, we needed to dispute the charges with our bank. We did and our bank denied our claim because they said that the transactions were more than 90 days old. So I called Directv back and I was told that I could'nt get my money back. I escalated the issue because I'm getting my money back, After almost a month, I currently have over $500 sitting on a closed Directv account. I want Directv to do the right thing and either put that money on my current open account or cut me a check. They want me to believe that they cannot give me back my money because it's been over a year. I present this scenario to Directv: If I were getting Directv service for almost year that I wasn't entitled to and Directv caught it almost year later, they would most certainly come after me to pay for the service I got free for a year.
Dear Directv: I WANT MY MONEY BACK! It's the right thing to do and I'm not being unreasonable.
Directv is great as long as it does not start raining. I get a little sprinkle outside and I loss the signal. Maybe my dish need better alignment?

I have canceled my service in January and still no returning boxes. I have called them multiple times to receive them and nothing. This is the second time for asking them to send a shipping label to my email because why should the customer pay for shipping when they want back the equipment. I don't understand why it's so hard for them to send a shipping label! Every time I have to call them it takes over thirty minutes to try to resend a shipping label. I live in the country so wouldn't it be easier to send a shipping label to an email or another mailbox instead sending it to the home address multiple times and I still don't receive nothing. Sending the shipping label and boxes to the home address hasn't worked if I'm still waiting to receive them since January. A customer service rep told me if I take it to FedEx or UPS they will take it although, as a customer for seven years they expect me to pay for the shipping label I don't think so! I suppose they really don't want there equipment back that bad.

Cuando lo logro cancelar me cobran la factura por la cancelación eso fue a principios de mes y luego me mandan otra factura por el mes completo cuando ya yo no tenía ni las cajitas para ver nada y cada vez q llamas es alguien nuevo diciéndote otra mentira no se puede confiar en ningunos la peor atención al cliente q he tenido en mi vida.
