Okay, so the deal for this website is that you must buy 5 DVD's at the regular price within the next two years to get the 4 movies for $1.00. I was able to get 6 movies for less then $30 because you could add on a few extras for a couple bucks (these do not count towards you commitment to buy the 5 others, these must be at full price) You also have to skip the movies you don't want-but they send you an e-mail, you can call or do it online. To me, these was a GREAT deal and I am someone who writes this down so I remember to cancel the movie I don't want. For September, the movie of the month was Cinderelle, so I got that, and October it was Avengers, and I skipped that. It's not a scam if you read the fine print, and when the blue ray DVD's are about $20 a piece a walmart, getting 6 for less then $30 is worth a little work for me.
I signed up years ago before Disney Plus was released. I thought I had cancelled my subscription years ago as I was dissatisfied with my service at that time. Signed up for Disney Plus and started getting billed for Disney Movie Club again! Their return policy is abysmal, there is no way to initiate or track returns online. They advise you to mail in returns (at your own cost) and you will be refunded or credited (minus shipping) within 6 weeks. I never received either a refund or a credit. Just got done speaking to a "cast member" who informed me that there is no credit showing on my account and that there is nothing they can do. I've lost so much money and time to this very terrible arm of Disney. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR INTRO DEALS, NOT WORTH IT.

Just don't fall into this scam. Save yourself!!

These people will charge your card and send you stuff you didn't order and when you immediately call to cancel they will say "oh sorry you can have a free credit" umm no give me my money back. Complete scam!
Please do not fall for the free movie dvds. Please read the fine print. They took $85 out of my credit card in one month! I have gotten new credit card numbers and they still are allowed to continue deducting at least twice a month. I only pay my credit card bill to pay them. You can't stop it until you meet their terms. Just buy me out and keep the dvds please.

So I made the mistake of falling for one of the "Get a $700 Shein gift card..." AFTER you sign up for these seemingly cheap deals that you can supposedly cancel right after. Anyway, if you're like me and don't have time to read through the pages of fine print under the false advertisement of being able to cancel easily, note that you will end up paying over $120 for a few old DVDs, as you are charged that amount to "break the contract" of paying $35 five times, which gets you 2 movies from a limited selection. Customer service is completely unhelpful and unfriendly. Save yourself the money and hassle and just use a steaming service.
Tip for consumers:
Don't do it.

We have tried to cancel the membership because it keeps purchasing movies without us selecting them. But they charge you for closing the account. It is not worth the headache. Customer service doesn't help either.
This is my first time using this service and I already regret it. I ordered 3 weeks ago and still have not received my movies. When I contacted them, they said it takes 3-4 weeks. Um, excuse me? 3-4 weeks for something that shipped from Ontario, to another place in Canada? Nope, no. You're lying to me, there's no way Canada Post is THAT bad. Disney Rewards are faster than this and they ship from the States! I asked them for a tracking number and they avoided my question, just telling me when my package supposedly shipped. Oh, and worst of all, they make YOU pay for the shipping. Regretting this choice immensely, DO NOT SUBSCRIBE!
Tip for consumers:
Just read the fine print, and be prepared to wait a LONG time for your shipments, with no updates from customer service.

They kept taking money out of our account 3 times last month maybe about 50-60 dollars. Then again today. Like seriously that's all my husband had for gas. The agreement was to buy 1 movie a month for $20 not to charge our account 3 times a month.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t sign up for the movie club it’s a scam.

They charged me $56 for my 1st regular price movie. They are a rip off and it's hard to get in contact with help. The automated system is crappy and it takes weeks to update. I'm about to report them for fraud and change my account number
DMC has is cancelling all Canadian accounts. As a huge Disney fan this upsets me so much - especially since we recently had all our Disney stores close too. It's getting a lot more difficult and expensive to be a Disney fan here. :(
Randomly charge me $70-$80 even after I decline the movie monthly. Have been charged close to $200 and have only received 3 movies. I have movies "pending" they have charged me for but have never sent. Additionally those movies did not go to my agreement? Please do no join! I have contacted customer service plenty of times with no explanation but "sorry for your frustration." I can not believe Disney has this up.
This is a complete scam. I love Disney movies that's why I signed up for it but once you sign up you can't cancel your membership until you've purchased a certain amount. If you do cancel early they will charge your card the full amount of the limit you have to pay! They charge you 30-50 dollars for one movie which is ridiculous and for them not to charge you, you have to go online to decline it which you don't always remember to do. They're customer service representatives are no help when you call them. I am currently without a job due to the pandemic so I can't afford these charges a month and they will still not work with me to cancel it! I would recommend no one get this!
Do not get in business with this service. Save yourself the headache. Customer service is useless, not their employees, just the perimeters within they work. Meaning, they cant help you if they wanted to. Its a business that lures you with exclusive products that are severely overpriced along with a transaction conducted on there terms. I made my initial order 16 days ago. They said it was shipped 13 days ago but USPS contacted me and said they never received the item and to contact Disney. Disney wont reship or give me a refund till tomorrow. So I have to call them a 3rd time and go through another headache tomorrow before I can get back the $130 I spent. By the way I already received orders that were made after the one I am complaining about. All I have to say is Buyer Beware!
Tip for consumers:
buy used copies or find people selling the featured movies on other sites instead of getting ripped off by this company.

You can buy all the movies they sell for half on other online retailers or retail stores. You end up paying for those supposedly "free" movies in the long run. Canceling is a joke. Prepare for an extremely long wait time to speak to a "cast member". You also need to keep a credit card on file with them and they won't let you take it off. Complete scam, avoid please, you'll be sorry you joined!
Disney makes this deal sound to good to be true. Which it was. They don't tell you that the contract you sign will charge you the full amount for 5 more movies after you've made your one dollar purchase. If you want to cancel you half to pay the amount it would cost you to by the movies in full. This is a ridiculous system and a scam of your money. Don't sign up for this supposedly "one time" purchase.
Despite declining the monthly movie selection, more than a week later, they still charged my card. They have done this so many times, I have lost count. Then, I have to wait weeks, sometimes months, to get my money back.
Tip for consumers:
Don't!

I'm 75 years old. This has been the worst retail experience of my life. Jusr cancelled today. Ordered titles I never got. Got titles I never ordered. Sign on issues were theirs. Too much to list. Billing issues. No one cares of course, because you can't reach anyone above the kind people in India you reach. In my opinion, it's a bait and switch operation not typical of Disney... a real stain on the name.
Tip for consumers:
Like a dope, I signed up again years after a bad experience the first time. It's worse.
Overcharging for movies! Then when trying to cancel membership they still billed for the "title of the month". Called the day they processed to cancel everything. Again. And was told it's too late! Definitely won't have anything to do with Disney! They are just money hungry!
They force people to buy five movies for at least $19.95 each just to fulfill their commitment agreement, which is the only way they can cancel their subscriptions. I'm one of those people so I am not happy at all. Why would a person who no longer wants membership or the subscription have to purchase five movies? More than likely, they canceled their subscriptions because they no longer wanted the movies. It's a scam, and I recommend everybody to read their contracts before becoming a member.
This company tries to bill my credit card over $200 a month and they try every other day, I'm fed up. I want my money returned. When I locked my credit card, they started double billing at the same time and one transaction is declined and one gets thru. I'm going to sue them and my credit card company for not keeping my money safe and fraudulently withdrawals that were not authorized. Save yourself the headache STEER CLEAR.

I have been charged time and again for "featured" titles that I have declined or have not ordered. I have returned the ones I have received ( return shipping is paid by the customer by the way) and have yet to be credited. I cannot afford to pay useless items or no items at all just because the "cast members" are not trained to do their jobs properly and this company has managed a way to scam good hard working folks out of their money. So sad that Disney has allowed this to become part of their business practices. I will stick to shopping in old fashioned stores and not online..
I originally signed up, was a great deal. Once you sign up and decide not to pay $42 a month for a simple movie you can watch on Netflix and attempt to cancel your account they try to tell you that you have to pay $52 in order to "buy out your contract". I'm addition to that, the representative will continue to argue with you that you either have to a: send movies you've already bought back to their address. B: continue paying $42 for 5 months. Or c: buy out your contract for $52.
Recently they had this collectable pendant that you get with orders. But they wouldn't let you pick the pendant and even though I made 4 different orders I still got the same pendant so far 3 times. Waiting on my fourth movie. But the point being is I got 3 of the same pendant and I don't even like Cinderella. The worst part is that I made the purchases on the same day so you'd think that the person in charge of packaging them would of thought to put different ones in each of the packages. Next time they have something like this I would suggest they let the buyers pick.

I'm so excited to have received my first order from The Disney Movie Club! They were even early.
We also received a Lithograph from Beauty and The Beast.
If you are like me and have young children and you want to start a Disney movie collection in DVD or Blu ray or Blu ray 3d format then I wiuld suggest using Disney Movie Club. Though the selection for your free movies is not that grand you can get a lot of classic movies. You also have a lot of good opportunities to end free DVDs or Blu ray. I personally love everything about Disney Movie Club.
