An overpriced scam, claim they refurbish all items and yet they are caked in dust and grime and half the time don't work, sell you third party parts claiming the are OEM parts. They sell things at 3 to 6 times the standard going price and in worse condition, they also put on a dumb sticker saying they refurbished the consoles, while claiming its a warranty sticker which means jack since laws concerning that ceased to be to benefit repair companies and the buyers of items, they are an utter disgrace to the retro games market and the only course of action they can do to fix their problems is close up shop and go away

I bought a PlayStation 2,2 dual shock controllers, 2 memory cards, and multiple games from DK oldies. I have zero complaints with any of the buying experience. I even screwed up the order but was able to call the next Morning and they corrected it before it shipped. My brother has also bought a console, controller and several games with no issues whatsoever. Several of my friends have bought from DK oldies all with good experiences. I highly recommend DK oldies.
A couple months back I sent a couple of items to get fix. They said they test their systems but with even a quick test I did when I got my items I noticed that one of the buttons was sticky and would get stuck for a few seconds. I had two GameCube sent in to get fix. When I read the bad reviews online, I decide to look at the vent for the motor and noticed a lot of dust still stuck on the system. I can't imagine what it looks on the inside of the system. Not only is this a bad look for their repair team but the dust can in fact damaged the system. I did some researching online and noticed that they never clean the inside of the system. I do not trust that the system was clean and I would never spend my money on anything they do. I would advise anyone online to not visit them because you'll be left with regret.
Tip for consumers:
Do research because every on the website is double the price than a local retro store

It was a repair order so I had no choice on anything else
I ordered a refurbished NES system and Super Mario Brothers. When I received my system with a third party controller I was surprised as I know my local gaming store has original NES controllers, I figured for what I paid is get original controllers. Then when I went to use my NES it didn't work. It just flashed the light. From what I read it needs a new 72 pin connector. But this was supposed to be a refurbished system.
When I contacted DBOldies they said all of their systems are refurbished and tested. But that claim doesn't help me.
After a search on YouTube I found this to be a common occurrence with these guys. Beware. And then they refused any kind of customer service. I'm going to take it to a local shop to be fixed.
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from DKOldies

Check Pricecharting prices compared to DKOLDIES pricecharting averages out sold listings on ebay and other sites. Dk sells their products way above ebay prices. Anywhere from 40% over to 300% over ebay prices. For example currently on dk oldies a copy of pokemon yellow is 115$ plus shipping which is not included in that price, on ebay you can get it 40 to 50 bucks in really good condition with replaced battery. Don't buy from DKoldies.
Tip for consumers:
Don't ebay has better quality control
Withing 5 mins of opening up a so called refurbished Xbox, plugged it in to find out it had a red ring of death. Obviously wasn't refurbished and complete waste of my time. I'd never recommend this business to anyone
Tip for consumers:
Don't use it

DK Oldies is an excellent place satisfy your video game needs. I have been a customer of theirs, on and off, for around 9 years now. All of my experiences with them so far have been great. I have purchased used classic games, accessories and have also traded in some things to them. Their retro-ish looking website offers a nice selection of classic to current games, consoles and accessories at reasonable prices. You will be able to find a little bit of everything there. You can also sell them all your old games, consoles and accessories for either cash or store credit. There is a section on the website where you can find odds and ends, like rare items and merchandise. A plus for collectors and fanatics alike. They have a newsletter you can sign up for free to keep up up to date on new products and sales throughout the year. In the customer service category, they score high. They have been very courteous and helpful in my personal experiences. All in all, they are a great place for your video game needs. Go ahead and give them a try.
