Between 2005 and 2014, I rescued four of my six dogs from The Dogs Trust, Harefield. Everything ran smoothly, and the staff was helpful and kind, with Richard easy to converse with. The place is spotless, and the dogs I have rescued have been a life-changing joy, so much so that I wrote two books on them (Rescue Dogs Rescues Man and When Your Best Friend is a Dog).
I rescued a Doberman x Rottweiler, and the healing process began. I found something that accepted me and my thousand scars but also allowed me to love her. My life changed within months, and rather than living or should I say decaying in my very own $#*! pit, I found the light, I found nature, I found happiness, and I found me, all because of six unwanted and unloved dogs were and still are the best painkillers a man could ask for.
I would happily recommend Dogs Trust Harefield, as I believe they genuinely care and want the best for abandoned and unwanted dogs.

I have rescued four of my six dogs from The Dogs Trust, Harefield. Everything always ran smoothly. Apart from one overtly stuck-up harridan, the staff have been beyond helpful and kind, with Richard easy to converse with. The place is spotless, and the dogs I have rescued have been a life-changing joy, so much so that I wrote two books on them. (Rescue Dogs Rescues Man and When Your Best Friend is a Dog). I hope there will be fewer unwanted dogs when people realise how important dogs are to us mere mortals. My rescued dogs saved my life, and since my first rescued dogs (Pod and, four years later, Purdy) in 1994, I still walk approximately seven plus kilometres daily. If you do the maths, it works out at around 65,856 kilometres which is one and half times the earth's circumference, whilst carrying life-changing injuries.
Thank you all at the Dogs Trust but more importantly, thank you for my rescued dogs who brought happiness to a broken man's life with your loyalty and friendship.

Rescuing four dogs........not a product apart from a product of the cruelty of certain humans, but without this cruelty, I wouldn't have saved the incredible loyalty and companionship; the strange world, huh
