I have had over a dozen D&B's in the last decade. Quality always excellent, design the best, shipping beautiful and fast, colors exactly as shown and so many options. Customer Service is bad. I've rarely needed them happy to say. I think you have a few trolls here. Read these negative reviews, they are nonsense. "Their bags are too small, I buy them on Beks and they're bigger"? Really? I think you need to read these comments and delete the frauds. It's a shame you can damage a company's reputation with obviously crank bad reviews.
So I bought the "Botanical collection - Geena Satchel" along with the "Pendant Key Chain" and paid extra both to arrive earlier than the standard time. After several times and weeks of tracking the package and seeing there was no sign of it - I called customer service and they opened up a case for me since they couldn't find a way to look for it, apparently. After a few days it was confirmed from Dooney & Bourne that it was simply lost and I'll get a "refund". I am still waiting for a refund to this day and at the bare minimum a sincere apology for this inconvenience and lack of customer service and support. It was honestly such a disappointment and it was for my grandmas 80th birthday. This company is completely unreliable and I would not recommend to purchase from here at all, specially if it's going to be for an important event like it was for me.
I have been a loyal DB customer for years- have bought numerous purses for myself and as gifts. Great product, but now I have one with stitching falling out after a month. I contacted them and have to complete a form for them to "consider" doing a repair. After spending over $200 for a purse I expect better.

Worst customer service around! Ordered a bag on line, arrived and I hated it! Quality of leather felt like plastic! When you call customer service, expect to wait at least 45 minutes and then they will disconnect you. If you email and request a call back... no one wil ever call! This company is sooooo bad!

I purchased a bag in March and I that they where paid, well I looked at my credit card doing bill check and see they just took the money out December 30 messed me up so much. I will never shop Dooney and Burke again. Then they lied and said they sent out emails never sent anything out the manager I talked to was horrible lier.
The package was damaged, it was supposed to be gift, now I have nothing and they want me to pay a return without giving me a return label. They are the worst and I think there are better sites out there.

I paid for expedited shipping of 2-3 business days. The order did not arrive for 6 business days. When I asked for a refund of my shipping cost ($40) I was told they allow for 24-72 hours of process before shipping so I need to add 3 days to any shipping. However this is not clear on the website as the website says "EXPRESS: $40 (Usually arrives within 2-3 business days of purchase.)"

I pourchased a christmas gift oct 19th thinking I'd be ahead of schedule. Unfortunately the gift was not needed or desired and I contacted customer service. They refused a refund or even an exchange. I would not recommend this company to anyone, since there customer service is so poor

I received a defective purse and returned it. The receipt had options for returning items, one of which was the USPS as long as it is insured. It was. They WILL NOT return your cost of shipping if you don't use their return label which I did not receive. Their product was damaged. They owe it. It's not the money, it's the "policy" and attitude. I wanted to have it REPLACED, but they couldn't do that either for some reason.
Unable to purchase from website Christmas present for daughter due to billing policies. Will not speak well of this retailer. They failed to resolve customer problems.

I have a very similar experience to all of the other reviews. I made a purchase and return, both in the month of January. It is now March 22nd and I still do not have my money. I have called several times, emailed customer service and made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The next step is disputing the charge with my bank. I am so disappointed because their products are lovely but the customer service is just not worth it. During these calls, after finally reaching someone, I was transferred to another department only for the call to drop after about 20 minutes. I will continue to call everyday until the money is refunded. It's such a shame because their purses are beautiful. Spend your money elsewhere.
I purchased s bag from dooney,&, bourke I didn't take the bag out of the packaging to examine it right away,. When I did take it out to use the strap was broken and the leather around the strap looked like it had been rubbing up against something. Now they want me to pay to have it shipped back even though it came defected. The customer service horrible. They will never get another dime from me. I ordered a midnight blue zip zip satchel bag October 2022, about two weeks ago I noticed that the bottom leather trim which is like a light brown color is getting discolored, almost white, I got in touch with the Dooney and Bourke customer service to see if I can get it fixed or replaced, the answer that I got is that there is nothing they can do about it because that is wear and tear, the bag is only three months old and I do take good care of my bags, especially if they are expensive. I placed an order for a handbag this morning and got a great deal. Probably a screw up on their end … they canceled it and claimed it was my credit card... would not honor the price and the customer service person became rude when I suggested they should honor their mistake... very upset at how they treat "loyal" customers... especially when the mistake is on their end...
I sent my bag back for a fix (at the cost of $25.20), and the company kept my purse, refunded my purchase price and wouldn't let me have it back or buy it back at the sale price I bought it at. So not only did I lose my purse for a very simple fix, but I am now out $25.20 that it cost to ship it to me. After many rounds with an unyielding customer service, I am done.
Purchased a purse and wallet January 2021 on Dooney Pay. They took the initial payment, somehow reversed the payment, never took the installment payments per agreement, now months later they proceed to take all the payments at once. Call customer service all they could tell me was that it was a system error, and it was nothing they could do. Dooney sent no notifications at all that my account would be debted for multiple payments. I will never purchase from them again!
Misleading photos on size and tiny print of dimensions which is illegible on a cell phone describing various sizes caused me to order what I thought was an identical bag in another color. They refused to accept that they needed to fix their catalog description and photos including a misleading shoulder bag headline (leaving out the word "small"). Their photos of the two-sized bags were identical, and they still charged an $11 return fee. After 2 calls, both between 30 and 45 minutes, I gave up, explaining that they needed to change their catalog description, headline, and photos to better depict the smaller size bag and not charge a loyal customer the $11 shipping to return. Viewing on a phone, it is almost impossible to read the details and pictures are identical. I'm 70 years old. They farm out their customer service to India and they are unapologetic, stern, and don't give a rip about the customer. For a company that charges what they do for their products, you would think their customer service and policies would reflect the need to please their customers. But it does not. BEWARE if you don't read all the fine print (pull out your magnifying glass) you will not have a good experience returning your item!

I Reurned a Bag that D&B received back on Jan. 6 2021. I have written over seven emails, submitted 10 customer complaints on their site. Received 5 replays back assuring my refund. The last was over 3 weeks ago stating that the refund was issued, and would be in my account in 2 to 3 days. It is Feb. 14th still no credit to my account.
On 1/9/23 I ordered a Boston Red Sox crossbody, upon arrival it had the Red Sox one the front & Texas Rangers on the back. Customer service has been horrible! They will not replace the bag and expect me to pay $9.50 to ship it back! I rate their customer service as a zero!

It was recieved back in Orange, CT on January 15th, 2021 and here it is March 19th and after many calls with many excuses I still have not received my refund. Very poor customer service. I bought my 3rd Dooney just before Christmas. There was a sale and guaranteed delivery by 12/24/21. I was so excited. So I get the purse and wallet I ordered but when I did the zipper on the purse does not work. I reached out to Customer Service and was told I could return the purse then order it again as they do not exchange. I explained I wanted the purse and if I did that, I would have to pay more as it is no longer on sale. The only other option was to pay to ship it to Connecticut for repair with no guarantee it would be repaired, how long it would take, or what would be done if it was lost. I was very disappointed that they did not care at all a defective product was sent. I will no longer be ordering and will find a new brand that values the customers they have.

Placed an order over Thanksgiving weekend. Three days after that I got an email saying that an item was out of stock and that my order was being canceled. Didn't see that status when I looked up my order online so called customer support. They told me it was an error and that my order was still good. I got an email two days later telling me my order was still good. 10 days before Christmas. I got another email telling me my order is now canceled. Look online no change in status. Call them up and they confirm. My order is canceled. They sent me a 20% off discount coupon that was usable on anything I tried to order. Very very very poor customer experience and apparently no inventory management systems on their side.

I had purchased a bag for my wife that was supposed to arrive before Christmas and when I kept checking the status of my order it kept saying that it was placed. Four days later I checked again and that was just in placed status so I went online to chat and they told me that my order had been canceled due to credit card billing information being incorrect. I never got an email or any sort of information of my order being canceled and even when I checked online and never said canceled so now I am stuck with no bag for my wife for Christmas and the chat service was the worst I have ever experienced. All I got was short explanation and no real answer to why I was never contacted that my order was canceled. Will never order online from here again.

I bought a bag and returned it the same day I got it b/c I hated the bag. It's been over a month and I have called 4 times because I never got my refund. They have told me everything from it's on my banks end to it had to be canceled and refunded again. They even asked me to call my bank which I did 3 times and the bank said nothing is coming through and it was not on the banks end. A manager told me they would call me back and twice no one called me back. The last call I was told that I needed to call my bank and report the charge as fraudulent, which is dishonest and of course my bank won't do.
I ordered a wristlet and purse on July 10th. The website said my order would ship in 3 to 4 days. On July 17th I received my wristlet only. I went on to the website and it said my purse was back ordered. When I ordered it it did not say that. I waited about 4 days and called. I was told by the rep that they are not sure why i did not receive that the item is not on back order. The told me they would put a work order in to see what was going on and that I would here something in 24 hrs. A week later and still nothing. I contacted again yesterday and they told me to be patient that there is an order already and someone would contact me. Very frustrating! I understand if when I ordered they told me it was on back order. I would have not ordered. But nothing was said and the reps are no help. Meanwhile I still know nothing about my purse.
