So I was looking for a lower ball joint for a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe. I decided let's check Amazon! To my surprise they had what I was looking for and seem to sell a lot of replacement parts for most vehicles. Relatively easy to contact them also, a plus on that factor.I think their prices are very fair for the quality of products. And I have nothing negative to say about this company. Great, reliable and convenient products. Eddid
I bought a brand new drive shaft. After installation I drove maybe 5 miles down the road and looked underneath my car only to find my brand new drive shaft was flinging grease all over the under side of my ride. I call customer service and they basically told me well that sucks not my problem and good luck. This part has many bad reviews on google and I should have looked into it before purchasing this team. I've very appalled at the customer service I received. "There's nothing we can do about our parts failing"…. Never have I ever heard of buying a new part that was $#*!tier than the part I'm replacing

I received a USELESS key fob of this company brand from another distributer.Fob came NO instructions,NO programmer and NO battery or circuit board.Company website is USELESS as well as their is no instructional videos on how to program.Getting my money back!
They expect customers to ship defective parts back to their head office to determine fault Shipping costs can account to three times cost of part. In other words you are on your own.
Part purchased; Control arms that failed before the one year warranty.
Stick with MOOG better customer service.
Bought and installed it on Sunday and Tuesday it took a $#*!. They sent a replacement and it was cracked all around the mounting holes. So they sent me another one... was all dirty in the box and still had Cracks around the mounting holes and the pulley squeaked when you turned it. The gentleman at the auto parts place was so embarrassed that he contacted the manager and made sure they sent me a different brand and didn't charge me any extra. After reading many reviews many of the products failed after 5 to 6,000 miles. The factory one got 272,000 miles on it. Your products suck. I would have better luck buying one out of a junkyard. How can a company sell such $#*!ing garbage? I swear your parts are made in China... was bought in Edgewater Florida at O'Reilly Auto Parts.
Tip for consumers:
Seriously how can you make such junk? Not even clean the parts and see that the housing is cracked? I'm legally blind and I was able to see it. You should move your factory over to China. If you're going to produce crap like this.

Received product via Rock Auto that was procured from China through Dorman.
The order was for two left and right versions of the product, but, apparently was shipped with two lefts in two different boxes.
Our line terminater that we bought was supposed to be point 37 and it was not we have bought the product 3 times in hopes of getting ac in my vehicle (van)for my children. My. Van has to separate ac compressors so I want to block the Brocken one off. Because the product keeps breaking I measured it at the store with there tool and it is reading Point 36 and supposed to be point 37 so someone isn't checking there fittings before selling the product and it is very upsetting. A lot of money and time and gas wasted. To be told they won't do anything about it. There defective product is now cause suffering to my family. I am writing this in hopes that they will do the right thing and help fix there mistake. I have over 200 dollars in on this because of there defective product and poor quantity checks.
Tip for consumers:
Not to use this brand quality checks aren’t happening and rude staff who don’t want to solve the problem and not willing to forward to a manager when talking to in hopes to solve problems.

Haven’t yet gotten a new product due to lack of funds because of spend to much with this company to begin with. Hoping they make this right.
As a shop owner I have used Dorman parts for years but as of late it seems quality has declined severely. I'm not sure what is going on with Dorman but I will not buy another Dorman part. Parts either don't fit or don't work. Dorman will not be used in my shop anymore.
I work for Dorman and I can tell you they buy junk from India and the Employees do drugs on the clock so you get 100% junk.
They give a Warranty that will end before the part brakes. Tell your auto parts Supplier you don't want Dorman products.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t buy Dorman

Tip for consumers:
there products used to really reliable, wish they would getb better quality control,we need parts but I cant use them if i have to pay the tech to put it on twice or three times

I have been a mechanic for 35 years, a long time ago doorman's help line was the best, but somewhere down the line they incorporated China's TERRIBLE quality of manufacturing into ALL of their parts! I have had Bad Thermostat stat housings, VVT solenoids, Vent valves, purge valves, and even an oil pan that they could NOT build without it leaking at the drain plug! How horrible is a company if you can't even stamp out a flat piece of crappy Chinese metal... So the moral to this story is at whatever the extra cost may be purchase your parts elsewhere and do NOT buy from this company, you will be disappointed! As you can clearly see Doorman's name on the pan, The leak, and the the Origin (CHINA)!

The original Window regulator for 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan failed 6 years after buying the Van new. I bought a Dorman window regulator from Autozone for ~ half the cost of the OEM part from Dodge. After installing it, the 6 wire motor could not be calibrated for fully raising window. Had to remove motor and exchanged without any issue at Autozone. The second motor worked. But regulator failed in less than a year. It failed all by itself overnight. Came outside one morning and found the window fallen down. The cable termination failed. Autozone replaced it for me without any issue. The cable termination failed on the new one in less than a year. I got my money back from Autozone as I did not want to be replacing it again in a year. So I replaced it with the more expensive Dodge part and it is still working now more than a year later. I did compare the 2 assemblies and the Dodge part looks better made. The metal in the rails is 30% thicker. It is a heavier stronger part. The lift cable terminations look more solid and precisely made.l. Some of the plastic parts are thicker and heavier. Only good news in all of this is that I got practice at the repair process (3x) and can now do it in half the time that I did the original replacement. No more Dorman parts for me.
Tip for consumers:
Product quality is poor. That is likely why it is way better priced than OEM replacement parts.
I bought the Doorman product from Auto zone. Autozone was good about the exchanges as well as the refund after the second failure. There was a time ~25+ years ago when Dorman replacement parts were pretty good. Not any more.

Was a window regulator. Ended up not wanting to use anything made by Doorman after returning product for second time. I ended up buying the OEM product from Ford and it works OK.
I had a bearing fail on my vehicle. I removed everything attached to my knuckle and had the hub pressed out so I could remove the clip and then press out the bearing. The inner race stuck to the hub and would not come off even with heat so I purchased a rotor that was said to be the correct part for my vehicle on Dormans website. Had my new bearing installed in the knuckle then installed the Dorman hub, reinstalled the knuckle back on my vehicle only to find out that the hub was the incorrect size for my vehicle. The part on the hub matches what I ordered and what Dorman states is compatible with my vehicle. Now I have to take everything back apart and start from scratch which will include the cost of another new bearing since the inner race of the bearing is sure to come off when pressing the Dorman hub out. Called customer service and they are no help. Basically wouldn't do anything to rectify the problem that is 100% their fault. I was told to go buy a Honda hub so that I could definitely get the right size. I will never use Dorman products again. Absolute garbage costumer service.

Purchased many Dorman products over the years and this is what I have found after getting burnt on several purchases: Anything electronic = terrible quality, get ready to replace it soon or out of the box it is inoperative or glitchy. Any of their products with moving parts= terrible quality, often break, or machined fitments are poor. Anything static like an exhaust manifold, is adequate.
For example- have a 2013 Chevy Cruze in the shop right now- replaced the coolant outlet with Dorman 902-033. Thought it would be good as it is an aluminum body versus the plastic one that always seems to corrode and leak. NOPE! Fitment was good, but the thermostat that comes with it is NOT opening.
Not one bit- I had flushed the entire cooling system prior to housing replacement, (radiator flows well) AND the cooling system was vacuum filled like they do at the factory to prevent air-locks. (Used Snap-On vacuum coolant filler). So, now I have an out-of town customer that has to wait extra for me to obtain a genuine GM housing so I can get the car going for him... He does not care about the brand I was using, only how fast I can get the car up and going again. This has cost me shop time, credibility and more... However, the silver lining for this is that I will NEVER, EVER recommend Dorman to ANYBODY, at any time. Likely better off with used parts. I will NEVER use a DORMAN product again, in fact, i kinda hope their factories shut down. To say I'm disappointed is a severe understatement. I've been in the trade since 1995 as a GM master tech, ASE courses, and countless update courses. I guess this is my fault for one more time trying a Dorman product. Again, let down very badly. PLEASE, if you are reading this review- just go to the dealer and bite the bullet and spend more for a decent product. I have names for Dorman stuff but I likely cannot put that many expletives on a review without it being deleted.
Tip for consumers:
Never use Dorman products
