I received a coffee table from dshop which was broken. The legs were broken and the brackets/screws that came prefilled were broken (screws were loose and when I tried to tighten them the wood was stripped). I contacted dshop about this for a refund (their policy states I can get a refund) but even after sending pictures and stating their return policy to them they said they would only send me replacement parts. When I made it clear to them that the whole table needs to be replaced (not just some parts) I reiterated to them that I would like a refund. They said I would need to prove to them that the entire table needs to be replaced and then they would send a refund (even though I had told them from the beginning that the entire table was broken). I sent them a video of the entire table and of how the screws could not be screwed back in and then they went back on their word and said they would only send me a whole new replacement table. I then stated Australian Consumer Law to them (Part 5-Division 1, Subdivision A of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) and they still said that they would only send me a replacement instead of the refund, which as the consumer I am entitled to choose which one I want both by their policy and by Australian Consumer Law. It has been a headache that took weeks to go back and forth with them via email, and it still is not resolved. I do not want another replacement unit, their products are very bad quality and not only were broken, but came dirty and scratched. I am out $90 now. I bought from dshop once before this and that product also came dirty, discoloured (metal was rusty) and scratched. The unit was also missing integral screws to put it together, but I made due because I thankfully had some screws that fit. I hoped that this was a once off mistake from dshop, but after buying the coffee table I realised that all of their products are poor quality, dirty, scratched, broken or missing parts, and they refuse to refund you. Save yourself your money and a headache and steer clear of dshop!
I was looking to buy a genuine Sonic Pic, same as the one tvshop used to sell and which I have previously bought one of, from tvshop. The photos on dshop (https://www.dshop.com.au/buy/sonic-electronic-tooth-cleaning-system/SONIC8) showed photos the genuine Sonic Pic…photos of the Sonic pic with metallic silver button, shiny stainless steel make. So I ordered two (order N*******). When the two Sonic Pics I ordered online arrived the buttons were made of cheap plastic and the metal looks dull. That's the dead giveaway that it's a fake from prior experience. Ebay has a lot of sellers selling the fake Sonic Pic also. I emailed dshop and they responded to me that I have received what I ordered! No I DID NOT. And they advised me to send it back to them AT MY OWN EXPENSE for inspection and if valid I will get sent a store credit! I do not want a store credit to shop at a scammer store selling fake products. I WANT A FULL REFUND AND A REPLY PAID LABEL. But to claim that their product is genuine is proof that they are scammers and liars. Even if I do send them back in new saleable condition, do you think I will get a refund? I bet they will claim damage on receipt and deny my refund. See photos comparing their website listing and my genuine Sonic Pic placed adjacent to the fake items. I purchased a desk online from this company and it was the biggest mistake of my life.
It was so poorly made with sharp jagged edges that cut me and tack welds that didn't line up.
When it arrived, EVERY piece and panel was scratched, dented, chipped or otherwise damaged.
I contacted Dshop via their 24/7 help desk, only to find out that they're essentially just virtual answering machines and you have to wait for someone to get back to you (which they never do). THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER AND THE STAFF ARE COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT AND SEEM TO BE TRAINED TO DRAG OUT RETURNS!
I made contact 4 times in a week before getting a response telling me that I had to build the desk first and then provide photos, to which I refused and re requested a refund.
I then waited another week for some other idi0t to email me and offer me $20, stating the damage to every panel was minimal and refusing the refund under consumer law.
The dshop staff kept refusing to provide me return and refund information and then threatened me with an inspection fee if I returned the goods. When I googled and checked their Facebook, it seems that they do this to EVERYONE that buys their shonky goods!
I will NEVER purchase anything from them again and strongly urge anyone else thinking about it, to read the reviews and find somewhere else to purchase from!
