Have an upcoming trip to Italy with my boyfriend and love the selection they have at DSW. Never shopped here before but glad I found it. Purchased some cute shoes for my trip.
Called store about Birkenstock's Arizona Big Buckle in white, giving full description and price of shoe. Was told there we 2 in my size. I arrived at store only to find what was advertised as white online was actually a pearl/off white yet the shoe shown online was white white! I am stuck with a purchased gift card for $170 that I cannot return to Kroger! I assumed if DSW sold Birkenstock they would be authentic and true to color. The person who identified herself as a manager had no answer excepted advertising department was responsible for photos online!
I spent over 45 minutes selecting a shoe and at checkout there was an issue. I contacted customer service and was told the shoe I ordered was out of stock! There was no mention of out of stock when I selected the shoe to purchase! On top of that, the coupon I used was a one time use! I would give them a zero if possble!
As in the prior review I ordered a pair of shoes. They arrived and were way too small. I returned the shoes and asked them to replace with the next size up. Waited three weeks and no shoes and no contact. Ordered the shoes on a Monday and because I needed the shoes by Saturday I paid $18.95 for two-day shipping. They didn't arrive by Thursday so I went on Chat. After speaking with Rashanda for over an hour, she promised that the shoes would be delivered Friday. Friday comes. No shoes. Back on Chat after waiting 17 minutes on the phone to talk to a real person. This person, Parris, guarantees me Saturday delivery before 3:00 and gives me a new reference number. Saturday, 2:30 -- no shoes and my daughter's Prom is in two hours. I called them again. He tells me. Sorry Mam, but these shoes are scheduled for delivery Monday. DO NOT BUY SHOES ONLINE WITH THIS COMPANY!
I ordered a pair of sneakers on DSW website. They arrived with an anti-theft/security tag still attached (in a box with the top cut off)! I now have to take time out of my day to drive to the nearest DSW store to have it removed because it cannot be simply cut off. Someone was either stupid/badly-trained or didn't care enough to remove it before stuffing the shoes into a bag to mail them, or, indeed, did it maliciously. Also, ordering the shoes didn't go without a hitch. Two days after placing my order, I got an email from DSW saying my order had been cancelled. I right away called them and spent 40 minutes on the phone while the rep was trying to track down a tracking number (which didn't even exist at that point, hence the enormous waste of time). Finally, 3-4 days later I got a shipment confirmation and another 2 days later my shoes (with an anti-theft tag attached) arrived...but not before I'd gotten yet another erroneous email from DSW letting me know that they were still processing my order and asking me to have patience! It's a hot mess. I won't be reordering.
This was my 2nd time shopping at DSW in six years, the first time was an extremely fun experience. The second time on 2/13/2021 was even a more kind courteous service. I was in that mall for over 5 hours and DSW was by far the best shopping experience during my entire shopping spree. While at DSW Miss Jillian catered to me like a Queen she is Kind, Courteous, Funny, full of laughs she smiled kept it and pure 100% Professional. Thank you...

The customer service esperance was really disappointing. I was left to solved the problem of exchanging a pair of sandals that I recived two for the same foot. Because I ordered online I lost time and gift bouchées that I had on my account that were not returned.

I buy shoes online, because I like the idea of buying NEW shoes; however, buying at DSW, you're sent shoes that have been worn before, and all too often have scuff marks, because the shoes ordered on DSW.com (as well as bags, and other accessories) are *not* shipped from a warehouse, but instead are simply shipped from one of DSW's 100s of stores. Buyer beware: if you buy shoes at DSW.com, you are getting shoes that have already been worn by someone shopping at a DSW, and they will probably arrive all scuffed up (which has happened to me much too often). I am done shopping at DSW! I now buy my shoes from Shoes.com (a subsidiary of Wal-Mart); the shoes come *brand new* from a warehouse, so you never have to worry about them arriving worn, and scuffed up! Auf wiedersehen, DSW!--you've lost a loyal customer!
Ordered two pairs of shoes. One white pair (dirty and brown). Second Black. Both were full of hair and dirt. GROSS! Wish I had checked reviews first. Guess thats all they sell.
DSW used to be the only site I shopped for shoes, but nowadays the standard is for them to take a week just to prepare an order, and another week for the shoes to arrive by slow first class mail. Only order from DSW if you can wait 2 weeks for your shoes to arrive.
I am so fed up with DSW! I ordered a pair of sneakers and some boots from online 12/18/15, it is now 1/7/16 a whole new year. My boots ended up getting cancelled, and my sneakers never arrived because of the P. O BOX BEING ON THE ADDRESS? REALLY? I already done called DSW twice and they were suppose to return my money. The man said they would return my money 3-5 days, its been six days. It does not take this long, and I will keep calling and calling until I get my money back.
DSW has the worst Customer service. I purchased a pair of boots online, unfortunately they didnt fit me. And due to the covid19 situation the stores near me are closed. So i made online return via FedEx, following the details given to me by DSW online customer service. They received my package by March 30th. And even after so many email conversations my case is still open. They have processed only the partial amount yet and I am still waiting to receive complete money back.I have sent screenshots of receipts and all details they asked for, but no luck yet. Seems like the DSW Customer Service dont want to understand. And now i am loosing hope of even getting my money back! Worst Customer Service, Waste of time and money!
I went to the DSW on Polaris and I met the manager, Kyle! He went above and beyond to make my experience one to remember. I was interested in several shoes and he was able to locate two in his store and for the 3rd shoe he searched in other locations until he found it in Dublin Ohio. The next time I was there with all of the shoe lovers he meets and helps everyday, when I came in he remembered me! Again he helped and along with other team members, Monica and Erin. I will not got to a different DSW unless directed due to the show can be located there with their help! Kudos to Kyle and his other staff, Erin and Monica. Great Job and Customer Service!
Horrible! They never pick up the phone. They forgot to send me the free cooler (they suppose to send with certain order) and I never got my answer as I couldn't wait over 36 minutes for a costumer representative. I will never order from them again.
I purchased a pair of shoes on line on 12/15/17. They were running a promotion-spend 75.00 and over and receive a $20.00 DSW cash dollars. WELL LET ME TELL YOU! Purchase the shoes online and never got the DSW CASH. So I decided to go to the store and inquiry. They feed me a bunch of BULL and tell me that I will receive the DSW dollars in January! I have called and email and never go a response. Just getting generated emails! Last time shopping at DSW!
This is absolutely the worse customer service experience. I ordered a pair of Ralph Lauren boots - which I received but in the wrong style. DSW sent the wide calf style - which I did not order and does not fit. I called DSW customer service; have been on hold for over 30 minutes, and have yet to speak to a representative. Further, I ordered these net day delivery so I wasted another $25 on express delivery. I will NEVER order or purchase ANYTHING from SW again.
I really like these they very safe they don't slip you are secure with these type shoes but I wish they word a litle higher up like boots style bc I work in that kitchen but a lot time am washing dishes and I get my feet wet but other them da they are great shoes
Times are tough now. I used to never use coupons or rebates or buy clothing online, but now I'm dead broke like everyone else. Now I go to Macy's and try on shoes that I know I can buy from DSW for cheap. If they fit, I order the shoes. Yes, DSW has a great return policy but it is a PITA to return shoes. I just order what I know fits. DSW has amazing prices and is as legitimate as it gets.
I placed a large order with DSW of about $400, and my package was stolen/lost and never arrived. When I contacted customer service they told me to contact my bank, which makes no sense to me. I told them that didn't make sense, so they then told me to contact FedEx. Now I have to file a dispute and HOPE that I'll be reimbursed for this stolen/lost package. I will NEVER order with DSW or shop there again.
They advertised a FREE weekender, so I order a pair of shoes just when the new email offer came out. I paid for the shoes and they didn't send the free weekender bag. They said they ran out, HOWERVER they were still posting their emails of getting a free weekender, but they were out of stock.
I called and spoke w their Manager Cheryl and told her about this and she didn't care. She just said they ran out. Total false advertising!

They were very helpful and patient with me. I left with two pair of shoes that I just love, without their help I probably would have given up and left. Thank you.
Last year when I visited Columbus, I visit DSW for buying new sandals for me. The shoes were too gorgeous and were made of good material + the prices were too awesome. I would recommend everyone who visit Columbus in future please visit DSW for your footwear shopping.
UPDATE
While I am not happy about the quality of the shoes, DSW refunded the cost. Having said that, the preferred outcome was to replace them, yet of course they are no longer carrying this item. I suppose this will have to do.

I bought these Anne Klein shoes 8 mos ago from DSW and was horrified tonight to see the heel is cracked and broken, I luv these shoes, wore about 5 times. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! I'm an avid shopper of DSW and would like to believe this is a one off. The resolution I want is a NEW pair shipped to me at no cost. I'll gladly return the pair I have in exchange. I'm waiting for corporate to respond or reply to my request to abuse of next steps

My daughter was in the DSW store, and e-mailed me with the picture of a shoe, and
Asked me if I liked it----I loved it! So we sent for a 6-1/2 and 7. It is a Nanette Lepore,
Danielle NL *******-Black. I tried both pairs on and the 6-1/2 was very comfortable.

Beware! The shoes I ordered on online arrived scuffed up, and the bottoms had a lot of dirt, and signs of usage! This is my second bad experience with them.
Free shipping because Forrest Gump could get it to you faster. It literally took six days to get my shoes from Trenton New Jersey to VA Beach. Hell I could have walked to New Jersey in six days.
