Have an upcoming trip to Italy with my boyfriend and love the selection they have at DSW. Never shopped here before but glad I found it. Purchased some cute shoes for my trip.
Called store about Birkenstock's Arizona Big Buckle in white, giving full description and price of shoe. Was told there we 2 in my size. I arrived at store only to find what was advertised as white online was actually a pearl/off white yet the shoe shown online was white white! I am stuck with a purchased gift card for $170 that I cannot return to Kroger! I assumed if DSW sold Birkenstock they would be authentic and true to color. The person who identified herself as a manager had no answer excepted advertising department was responsible for photos online!
Shoes are cute, stylish, and hip. Prices are fair, and their app always remembers your B-day. Great place to buy shoes.
Very nice store with very nice service, always receive an invitation when a new collection is available.
Very good service, fast and easy
I thank you for your help and your answers
High quality and reasonable prices
Purchased my prom sandals, graduation sandals as well as my clutch for prom.
All were perfect and the selection was great!
More than once they ran out of free weekender bag promised with order. To how many customers doe this happen? Lousy customer service.
Order *******317
Was returned and received back at the warehouse on April 8.
Still waiting for my refund.
I called and my wait time was 200 mins then it became 210mins and so on. I've never had to wait so long.
Very good customer support and the prices are great. I buy alot of shoes from their retail store as well and the return policy is very very good.
Do not buy from this company if you're in CND. Shopping to the states, thirdparty pickup!
I mean… just don't waste your time is my suggestion
On December 18th we placed and order that showed the item was in-stock. Then the next day we received an email saying that the item was not available and they were sorry blah blah blah, and said we had a $10 credit off our next order. Then two days later we received a message from FedEx saying our order from DSW was shipped. The DSW said the order was on the way! Please be advised are getting the message that it was available we order them from another company. We contacted DSW and they said to refuse the item and they would give us a refund! I asked them to contact FedEx because as of this review the items still isn't here, and asked them to have the items returned to them, they said they couldn't YET FEDEX said the sender was the only one that could request that. I called FedEx and advised them I was refusing the order. It has been a CLUSTER CAUSED BY DSW! Apology after Apology. The today we got a message FROM DSW SORRY WE MISSED YOU. THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON, I TRULEY BELIEVE THAT THEY DO NOT EVEN READ WHAT YOU SEND IN AN EMAIL. This was NOT the first time we have had problems with DSW but this will definitely be the last. One person said they were issuing a refund with in 3-5 days, that hasn't happened yet, so let's see how long it takes. I would go barefoot before ever buying anything from DSW!
I wore these shoes for 2 years already! Excellent quality, prompt delivery and great assistance. THX DSW
I'm very disappointed to the shoe that I ordered, it didn't arrived on time and also I got the wrong size now it is useless I never used it
I want to share my expressions about you
And I want to say that I really like everything and everything was excellent
I herd of DSW from a Gucci group I'm in, people were finding great deals but I also saw others post about having a bad experience with them, quite a few people complained about being sent the wrong shoes which I didn't think anything of it since I had never ordered from them, I still decided to give them a chance since they had some Gucci shoes I've been wanting, when I received the shoes I received the wrong size but also the men's shoes, I was a little upset so I decided to return them, a week goes by and saw that they had a sale on those shoes, I bought them again, received them and once again they sent me the men's shoes! At this point I was so frustrated and angry, I contacted costumer service via chat and the girl was no help either, she was pretty rude even though I wasn't been rude since it's not her fault! With this I got that most of dsw employees are not well trained, the people working at the warehouse from where they send the shoes are always sending the wrong stuff (because I know this happens often, wayyy too often) I literally had to print out pages of the difference of the women's Gucci shoes and the men's! I shouldn't have to be doing their job for them! This shoes I got sent are supposed to be a women's size 35, the Gucci men's shoes are exactly the same but have "Gucci" written on the back while the women's don't have it.
They sent me the wrong pair of shoes twice. Terrible. I ordered Steve Maddens. One pair wasn't even remotely close to the shoes I ordered.
I purchased a pair of Puma tennis shoes on March 9th. In the store they fit perfectly, and for a two days afterwards they were comfortable on my feet. However the on the third day, the shoe on my right foot started kinking in such a way as to inflict serious pain just above my big toe. The shoe is inflicting pain and injury, it would no doubt bruise my foot if I continued wearing it. When I took the shoes back to the Saint Louis Park, MN store 5 days after purchase, and asked to exchange it for another pair, I was told that store policy dictates that once shoes are worn, they cannot be returned.
This is unacceptable. No customer should be forced to keep shoes that they cannot wear because they've become injurious. Again, my problem here isn't that they don't fit, or I'm no happy with them. As a $60 pair of tennis shoes this is obviously not something I purchased for a fancy party or something and want to return now for my money back. These shoes are literally inflicting pain and injury.
Not only is the policy of refusing to return, exchange, or store credit a product that inflicts pain on the customer a bizarre policy, it happens to be illegal in the State of Minnesota. Minnesota law actually REQUIRES by state statute SS 325F.80 that retailers return and refund purchases unless a policy exception is clearly and conspicuously displayed within the store. This return policy can only be found on the BACK SIDE of a "This Register Closed" sign that is literally hidden from public view. Furthermore, statute requires signs like this be at 14pt font so they're readable, and this sign on the back of the sign hidden from view is extremely small print.
Given the fact that DSW is selling painful products and illegally refusing to accept returns, exchanges, or refunds I have to give them an extremely poor rating and recommend avoiding their store. Even IF they properly displayed their return policy, refusing to accept a return of a shoe that's inflicting pain and injury would be outrageous in and of itself.
Tip for consumers:
Return policy is being implemented illegally in the State of Minnesota.
Products used:
Nothing because the shoe inflicts pain.
I bought a pair of boots for my partner as an anniversary gift in May 2022. They took a while to get to me, but I live in Alaska so that's not unusual. After gifting them we realized that he needed a bigger size, so I contacted DSW for a return shipping label. I took my package to FedEx only to be turned away because the label DSW had sent me was incorrect. I contacted customer service and was assured by the live chat agent that they would amend the error and send a new one right away. An hour later I received an email saying that they cannot process my return because of where I live. Even though they made it here just fine. After getting passed around to a few departments I finally got in touch with a supervisor who told me to use a courier service of my choosing and save the receipt. He told me to email a picture of the receipt with my order number and they would refund 100% of the cost of shipping to my original payment method. I sent that email in June and never heard anything until July when I sent another email and got an automated email response which honestly was better than nothing. But again, more radio silence followed that automated response, so I went back to the live chats got in touch with a supervisor and started another inquiry. She then proceeded to tell me that they would not be able to reimburse the shipping I had paid out of pocket in any other form than a DSW gift card. At this point, as you can imagine, I did not want to give DSW another cent let alone give them another opportunity to waste more of my time. I told her that I didn't want a gift card, I wanted my money back on my card. She said she can't process it that way and it's not until I bring up my prior conversation with the other supervisor that she says that she'll do it. But of course, it's not that simple. After all this time, I still have to call the customer service line to be transferred to the payment department to process my refund. So now that were all caught up, today its August, I have called to get in touch with the payment department twice and still have not been able to connect with anyone who can process my request.
In short, go with any other shoe company go with freaking eBay. Do not spend your money here because even if they do reimburse you, you will never get back the time wasted and the stress caused.

Never have I experienced such horrible customer service.
1. DSW is not offering phone or chat customer service like their competitors. They will only respond to you via email. When they do finally email you back, it is generic corporate language with bull$#*! "fellow shoe lover." It takes many excruciating emails back and forth to reach any kind of resolution even an unsatisfactory one.
2. DSW is very sloppy with addresses. Despite the fact that our primary delivery address on my account is both written correctly and completely, they did not include the all-important APT number or unit on the delivery details to FedEx., which created the third problem.
3. It has been almost three weeks, and we have not received our order because DSW did not include our full proper address. To make matters worse, the FedEx was just passed off to our local United States Postal Service location, making it my job to wait on hold for more than one hour to speak to a repsesentative from the post office to try and correct DSW's mistake.
4. Since DSW's screw-up with our address, a customer service agent emailed us telling us they can re-send the order to our nearest local DSW store for us to pick up. We live in New York City. All stores are closed due to the pandemic. A customer service agent for a major chain should know this. By DSW telling us to pickup our order at their nearest store during a pandemic reveals how awful and distrustful their customer service is. This is by far some of the worst customer service that we have ever experienced. Inexcusable.
5. Additionally, I had already detailed for them in the email they responded to that I was a cancer patient and not able to go into a public store anyways. I should not have to go out during any circumstances because DSW can not fulfill the basics, such as including the full delivery address with FedEx.
6. One of the items from that we ordered is no longer being sold by DSW. Yet they offered to send a new order. They should have checked to make sure it was still in stock before making such a guarantee. Would you ever trust DSW?
7. During the pandemic, we understand that personal safety is of utmost importance. Companies will win or lose customers on how they respond and how they communicate with their costumers especially during a time like this. We did not expect next, or even 7-day delivery. We just want to receive what we paid for. Almost three weeks later, they told us that the customer can pick up the order in their store?
8. For all the frustration, inconvenience and worst customer service that we experienced, they offered 30 reward points, which does not even account for one dollar. INSULT.
9. Would any customer ever continue a relationship with DSW after what we have experienced? Instead of "shoe lover," during the pandemic, we will continue our relationship with companies that practice and live with the motto "customer service lover."
