Have an upcoming trip to Italy with my boyfriend and love the selection they have at DSW. Never shopped here before but glad I found it. Purchased some cute shoes for my trip.
Called store about Birkenstock's Arizona Big Buckle in white, giving full description and price of shoe. Was told there we 2 in my size. I arrived at store only to find what was advertised as white online was actually a pearl/off white yet the shoe shown online was white white! I am stuck with a purchased gift card for $170 that I cannot return to Kroger! I assumed if DSW sold Birkenstock they would be authentic and true to color. The person who identified herself as a manager had no answer excepted advertising department was responsible for photos online!
I purchased a pair of slippers two and a half weeks ago. I called today and they said they could refund me or resend them as they are still available. I opted for the reorder. The customer service rep was very friendly. He said he checked the tracking and the package was lost. No offense, but I could barely understand him. I had to ask him to repeat himself several times. I am waiting to see if the second pair shows up. Thus far i'm not impressed with their handling of online orders.

This was my first order with DSW. With all the introductory promotions, I got a pair of Bare Traps sandals for a great price. They were too big which didn't seem consistent to other brands I've worn. I quickly set up an exchange on there website and quickly had my smaller pair. I did not have any interaction with customer service, because the exchange was automatic, so I can't vouch for that area of company. That and the size problem are the only reasons for 4 star. Will recommend to others.

DSW once again sent me dirty disgusting used shoes that I paid full price for. This time they came with a jelly like substance on the inside, dirt all over the treads, and they reeked of feet. This is so over the line, their customer service is unapologetic and has no other solution than to make me return their shoes for a refund with no apology. Its ridiculous, there's so many bargain shoe brands out there its impossible to justify supporting them further.

Skip it entirely, there's so many other options out there. Their customer service is trash so when they rip you off its up to you to swallow the money you lost or go out of your way to fix their mistakes. They also carry very poor quality brands. I was a VIP Elite member, I'll never shop there again, I've been tricked too many times. Not worth the trouble.

I bought a pair of slip-on shoes which, while the correct size, had such a narrow opening that getting them on my feet was nearly impossible. I returned them in pristine condition (including the box) and received a refund that was less than I had paid. When I contacted them, it turned out they charge an $8.50 fee for returns. DSW clearly doesn't really stand by what they sell.

Ordered 13 Pairs of shoes within 3 days because of a crazy sale. 1 pair were clearly worn, and another was dirty on the toe. Only 6 pairs have arrived, so please pray for me! Customer service chat admitted that some shoes are from the floor, or returns. Disconnected my chat to prevent me from getting a transcript, but I copied most of it before he did because I thought he would try something like that. Ended up calling them, and the CS rep did not listen at all! Offered a $20 credit after I told him that I wanted RMA labels for all 13 pairs of shoes! SMH. I told him to send the labels for the 2 pair that were messed up, and that I'd drive the 80+ minutes round trip to return the others once they all had arrived. I demanded $20 back on my card for my gas, and he said that he would, but we'll see. Wish I had come here first before ordering from them. I now know better!

I ordered a pair of Nine West Boots and they came in a crumbled box and they were used with white paint on them. How do you send out damaged products and damaged packaging? I will never order from them again. The customer service had me on the line for 50 minutes and still not resolved. NEVER AGAIN! Wish I could give negative stars.
I ordered two pairs of tennis shoes on line for a great price. Should have known it was too good to be true. After over two months, still no shoes and DSW claimed they had been delivered but no proof. Could not provide details of signature and refused to refund.
Don't even bother ordering shoes from their website, especially if you need them by a certain date. My daughter and I were shopping in their store and she needed a pair of shoes for her homecoming dance. We didn't find any in store, but we did find some on the website. As soon as I got home I called customer service to make sure that the shoes would arrive on time if I paid for expedited shipping. I was assured they would since I was ordering them four days in advance. The customer service rep even said "I promise they will arrive by Friday". Well guess what? They didn't arrive on Friday and they haven't even arrived on Saturday. Shipping status now just says pending instead of a date. You have no idea how furious I am having had to run around town all day to find some shoes when I was promised the ones I paid for would be here on time.

I bought two pairs of boots just different colors. I received one pair straight from DSW. The other pair came from DSW returns in New Jersey. The boots came in a partial box. Obviously they are a return and been tried on and may be used? There is no tissue covering the buckles! See pics! DSW, you can do better than this! This is not acceptable!
I went online to buy a pair of shoes for my vow renewal ceremony on NYE. I found what I thought were the perfect pair of shoes. It was 12/27 so I figured I'd pay extra for next day delivery. No delivery until 1/3 and when I finally got them, the shoes showed clearly that they had been worn. Never, ever purchase shoes online from DSW. I will be taking them back for a refund.

DSW carries a good variety of well-constructed shoes. The problem lies with returns. I bought a pair of house slippers that didn't fit so they were returned to the store on Dec 26th. Even though I've followed up twice with customer service on the status of my refund, I'm still waiting as of today, Jan 12th. This is unacceptable especially since every other company I deal with (i.e., Kohls, JCPenney, Amazon, etc.) give refunds within 24-48 hours max! DSW has lost my business--they're not the only game in town.
Dont buy from DSW! Worst online shopping experience ever. I ordered gifts for Christmas and they sent them to the wrong address and wrong state! They couldnt even explain how that happened seeing that they had my correct address. Then of course I couldnt reorder because they no longer had the sizes I needed. Oh yeah…and I wont have the $ back for 3-5 days. I will never buy from DSW again. There are plenty of other shoe stores out there.
I just received a pair of sandals today from DSW this is now they arrived and were left on my porch. I take great care of my shoes and do not appreciate getting my items in a broken box with no lid either. I am a very good customer and expect better service. Hopefully the shoes are a good quality.

Placed an order online, within minutes I realized I had ordered the wrong size, I immediately contacted customer service via chat and email and was informed that my order could not be changed... after almost one week without updates on my order I contacted them again to confirm and let them know that it was not reasonable to not be able to change an order that was paid for and had been delayed for a week, they offer $20 in customer rewards for the inconvenience but no resolution on my $144 order... one day goes by and my order was canceled without informing me and charge going back to my card as a refund which will cost me $$$ because of the type of car i used. Needless to say DSW's customer service is nonexistent / lacking one feels like dealing with AI instead of with a person. Probably the last time I will purchase from them..

Awful. Although they have a good selection of shoes, and some decent prices, their online services are horrible. Discount codes sometimes don't work for no reason, their email service Does Not Work, and I exchanged something and received no refund but was charged twice for my items. If you order from here check your bank account closely because you will see your order then extra five cent or fifteen dollar charges that do not make sense.
Never try buying from the website during a busy shopping time, such as black friday or cyber monday or after xmas sales. Horrible experience. Site has many errors and issues ones there is any significant volume. I spent hours trying to make one purchase. After many, many errors at various steps in the process it told me sold out. What a waste of time. Your time is not worth any savings you might get from a discounter like this. Wish I only knew better in advance.
I bought myself some sandals that wrap around the heel. Been wearing them for a week now and they are super comfy. I just wish there was an arc though, as i have a flat foot. However, still pretty good.
DSW is my one shop shoe stop, not that I need that many different types of shoes. It basically has all the Mary Janes and ballet flats that my heart desires: from wedged to no wedge, toe cleavage to full coverage, solids to plaids, bows and all. This website allows me to buy them all without having to go down to the store, and I love it. As long as you know your sizes according to certain brands, you're guaranteed the right fit. I recently bought 3 pairs of ballet flats easily. The only issue was that shipping took about 2 weeks. I'll always wait for comfortable flats though.
Placed an order for 3 pairs of shoes, they cancelled 1 of them (why are items listed on your website if you don't have them in stock?), so I turned around and cancelled the entire order. 10 days and 4 calls, 2 emails later (neither responded to), they are still trying to charge my CC. I've now disputed it with the CC company, as DSW cannot get their s*&t together. This experience has made it so I will never shop at their stores or online with them again.
I'd never place an order with DSW again. The worst customer service I've ever experienced. And no offer of a discount after waiting two weeks for a pair of shoes!?! I'll shop at Shoes.com in the future. DSW doesn't care to keep good customers.
Everything about DSW is fantastic. GREAT coupons with no minimum purchase amount, and you can combine them. Free shipping if they don't have your size, easy returns, friendly workers. I prefer shopping here and would even pay more to shop here because I've had nothing but great experiences. Fortunately, they have great prices too!
