Have an upcoming trip to Italy with my boyfriend and love the selection they have at DSW. Never shopped here before but glad I found it. Purchased some cute shoes for my trip.
Called store about Birkenstock's Arizona Big Buckle in white, giving full description and price of shoe. Was told there we 2 in my size. I arrived at store only to find what was advertised as white online was actually a pearl/off white yet the shoe shown online was white white! I am stuck with a purchased gift card for $170 that I cannot return to Kroger! I assumed if DSW sold Birkenstock they would be authentic and true to color. The person who identified herself as a manager had no answer excepted advertising department was responsible for photos online!
I just bought another Sperry boat shoes. It gets a 10 in all categories and I feel that every young man should get a couple of pairs!

I ordered a pair of B. O. C. Shoes online for an excellent price. They were delivered on 12/14/15, but left on a back patio so I didn't find them for two days. The shoes are clearly worn, scratched up and stretched out. I have been trying to get thru to a CSR but after a half dozen attempts lasting over a half hour each, I've given up. I will have to fight crowds to return these crappy shoes to a store, and probably have to argue with what will surely be some underpaid sales clerk. I will never buy anything from this place again, either in the store or online. Worse customer service I have ever seen.
Do not order anything online or have anything shipped! If anything goes wrong, it will be nearly impossible to contact customer service! I've been on hold with them for over thirty minutes now. I've seen other reviews saying they've waited up to two hours, and I'm afraid that's what I'm in for!
My order never arrived and the tracking information was questionable. When I called DSW I waited 30 minutes each time with no help. My emails were never returned. What legitimate business does not respond to customers. I am sick about losing $127.
I've been shopping at DSW for years and have had nothing but great experiences. I buy online and at the stores. Customer service is wonderful and the staff has always been great. I really can't understand why this store has had any bad reviews. I actually just ordered three pairs of shoes online and I'm waiting for them to be delivered at the store. The stores are always clean and organized and a pleasure to pursue. Love you DSW!

Before you place an order online, ensure you have the right size/quantity because it is truly a hassle to reach a customer service representative. I called to exchange my order and was placed on hold for TWO hours! I finally hung up. I will NOT shop at this store again!
Although their site says e-giftcards are delivered within 12 hours, it took 4 1/2 days for mine to be sent. My complaint received a "sincere apology" and the explanation that "Our system will hold gift card orders of $50 or more. Those orders will need additional verification to make sure everything is accurate on the order." That warning should be clearly provided to the customer prior to purchase. And 4 1/2 days seems way too long.
I've been ordering from DSW for years now. My preference is Under Armour and summer flops. I go through a couple pairs a year, if not more. They've always been great, I ordered the wrong size few years back, simple return. I just tried on some winter boots that didn't fit I got back in Nov... finally tried to start a return online and the system didn't recognize it... so I emailed customer service at 2am... within 6 MINUTES, I had a return label emailed to me!

I usually get shoes shipped from different places. 1st time with DSW. I prefer shopping in store. Ppl try the shoes on with no stocking, feet unclean, walk around and throw it back in the box. So I was skeptical on ordering sight unseen. I really am not bothered by delays with COVID. I didn't realize there is no signature required when they use FedEX and they leave the box out front. I ordered 4 shoes and 2 came. The other shipment was being transferred to USPS. Their error and my package was basically "lost" for a day. Now it's on a truck and again to be left out front.
I will look for the shoes elsewhere. No shipping ever again.

They never have my size available in anything styles I like which is 9.5 wide, and rare to find something I really like. It's very frustrating. Even their online website is horrible, everything is always out of stock. When I go into their local store, most of the shoes look like something my grandmother or someone in a nursing home would wear. They also don't carry a wide range of shoes with good quality and with arch support.
I'm done shopping at DSW
The last pair of shoes I ordered I had to return because they were extremely uncomfortable and they did not carry the next size up.

There's no way to get thru online or via email to do a return. The hold times are over 100 min after which you get disconnected. Or they say they'll have someone call you back and that never happens. Will never buy DSW again.
This site has a lot of variety in shoes and quality, the prices are affordable and they also have discounts and clearance. For these times where the economy isn't great. I recommend this site. Just make sure you have the right measures and sizes before ordering to avoid any kind of situation with returns and/or refunds. Other than that, it is a pretty cool site to buy from...
They have my member account mixed up with someone else's account, which explains why my discounts never worked. Protect your identity people! Their membership account management system needs a lot of improvements! I will no longer shop here until their system glitches are resolved!
I ordered sneakers over 2.5 weeks ago online! The tracking date said they would be here by this past Thursday! It changed to Friday, then Saturday, then now all it says is "on its way" for 2 days now! Don't order shoes online if you don't want to wait 3 weeks to get them! Standard shipping said 4-8 days! Not 14-18! Jeez! Still no shoes!
Ordered off their website for the first time since I couldn't find what I wanted anywhere else. Shoes received promptly & in fine condition. That being said, since giving my cell # for the order, my phone has received scam/spam calls & texts almost non-stop. One even while I was asleep in the middle of the night. Will absolutely never give this company another penny.

OK I ordered a pair of Birkenstocks, they said the wrong ones. Call customer service, they are say OK we are sending you the correct pair in a shipping label to send back the old ones. They even expedited shipping I received a pair of used sandals that DSW does not even sell. I'm talking crust and all it really looks like whoever packs the orders took off their shoes and shoved them in a Birkenstock box because both the box and the bag the shoes were in say size 9 color black and I received a size 8 navy blue sandal call customer service again completely livid they claim they sent out a new pair. Yeah I have not received an email showing shipping. I still cannot believe this happened.
I have spent three months tracking down my own money from returns. Somehow the transaction also gets "lost" or "mishandled". I have tried three times and I can successfully say that I am completely done with DSW... they never even said apologized! Goodbye DSW hello Off Broadway.
Has anyone else not received a return/exchange form with their items? I literally did not get one and had to call (I was on hold for at least 10 minutes) just to have one emailed to me, before printing it out and taking it to fedex for my return to be shipped off. That was over a week ago - I had to email them with a picture of my fedex receipt just to find out if my return was received since I still have not been reimbursed. They were nice enough to let me know my return had been received - they didn't even bother to mention anything about a reimbursement. Guess I'll be writing another email about that. What decade are we in? That's 1 phone call, 3 emails, time wasted and a headache. Advice: keep receipts and take pics of everything.
Purchased boots in November that began falling apart in February, asked for a replacement pair, was told in no uncertain terms, NO - store policy! Will not be shopping there ever again, that's my policy, $100.00 boots that only lasted approximately three months, not a good value!
Today I visited DSW for the last time. Not because they don't offer the shoes I want at a reasonable price. But because of the way they treat their employees. This sweet, older lady was getting off shift and she called for a bag check. Another employee came over and checked searched through her purse. I asked the cashier what that was about, and she said that it is DSW's policy to check all their employees personal bags, to include a purse, before they are allowed to leave the store.
You have GOT to be kidding me.
If you don't trust your employees, don't hire them. This is NOT the way to build loyalty or trust among employees and says a lot about you as a company that you treat your employees this way.

I bought a pair of shoes and they were going to send them for me and they haven't. They emailed me they received the order and that was it. They took the money out of my account. Now they say they have no such order happening yet I have the email from them and transaction of money.
Their customer service is either all automated or computers trying to talk to you via email or the staff has not the ability nor skill to answer my questions or be specific. This will be put on tik-tok, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

My order arrived with a left 10.5, left 11 size boots, an extremely damaged box, and dirty sock. Called customer service- told me I would receive expedited shipping since I needed them by a certain day. Of course they never shipped expedited and when I called today they said they couldn't change the shipping now that it's processing. I wont be at the address when the shoes arrive. Wow.
