Have an upcoming trip to Italy with my boyfriend and love the selection they have at DSW. Never shopped here before but glad I found it. Purchased some cute shoes for my trip.
Called store about Birkenstock's Arizona Big Buckle in white, giving full description and price of shoe. Was told there we 2 in my size. I arrived at store only to find what was advertised as white online was actually a pearl/off white yet the shoe shown online was white white! I am stuck with a purchased gift card for $170 that I cannot return to Kroger! I assumed if DSW sold Birkenstock they would be authentic and true to color. The person who identified herself as a manager had no answer excepted advertising department was responsible for photos online!
I recently ordered a Black Steve Madden purse online with my birthday coupon. All went great until I received the package with the wrong purse. I politely emailed customer service to explain my concern and was told that they were going to send me the purse I actually ordered with 2 day shipping. The shipping was definitely not 2 days since it took 4 days to get to me. When I received this order, I knew that something had gone wrong by the size of the box. It was small. I opened the box and there was a pair of New Balance socks inside. However, the correct order form was inside. I was very frustrated at this point and emailed customer service yet again. They requested that I go to the store for a refund since they are "unable to send me the replacement item". Not only am I inconvenienced by having to drive 30 minutes to a DSW store, but I never even got the product that I payed for. Ridiculous.
I used to shop at DSW, because everything is displayed by style and size for easy selection. However, on at least 3 occasions the glue of the shoes I had bought dissolved and they fell apart. I would not be surprized if DSW -like so many other discount stores- buys rejects from the factory and then markets them at a healthy mark-up.
I only bought one pair so far for my wedding and I must say the shoes were affordable and good value for my money. There was a slight issue with my billing information but the customer service rep was very friendly and she dealt with it within minutes my shoes was shipped and I received it very quickly within a matter of days. I would definitely shop there again
Love, love, love this site! DSW was not available for us here in Canada until recently. I have bought from here three times - and never had an issue. Shipment was fast - customer service was wonderful!
My first time ordering from this company and all went well. The price was absolutely great -- $200 boots everywhere else on the web. I purchased mine for $59.99 + tax. Can't beat that. Again, this is my first time ordering from this company online. Will re-review in the future if i purchase anything else.
DSW is a very busy company. They do not make their own shoes they sell other companies. So when there is something wrong with a shoe that is the manufacturer. Dsw can in no way remake the shoe and sell it the same. They have to have there policies or they will lose a lot of money. I never have a problem with them.
I ordered a pair of running shoes on October 10th, and today, Nov 1st, I haven't received them. Tracking keeps changing, first it was in October, two days ago it was Nov 2nd, now it's Nov 6th. I certainly won't order online anymore.

I have never bought shoes online but the economy is falling apart and I am looking to save money where I can. Several people recommended this site on sitejabber so I ordered some shoes and they were shipped fast and reliably. I already knew they fit because I tried them on at Nordstroms. Saved $75.
I placed an online order a few weeks ago with EXPRESS shipping. No product, and there's a second hold on my credit card. You can't reach ANYONE by phone, or live chat with a 60 minute plus wait time... and canceling your order by email is just as ridiculous!

This is the second go around buying 90 plus dollar dress shoes and again DSW fails miserably. I order a pair of Steve Madden dress shoes that cost me 95.35, these are not suppose to be a cheap pair of 40-50 dollar shoes and when I received the shoes they were scuffed up on the tops and there were two good size chunks taken out of the side of the rubber soles, unbelievable! I will absolutely not shop at DSW again and would recommend the same, if I can upload pictures to this post they will be there, I am extremely disappointed. DSW based on my experience should be a second hand or used shopping shoe store.
Ok, I am not just recommending this one because I am a woman and I love shoes, they really do have a good website. So many shoes, so many sales, always have my size... did I mention so many shoes? They sometimes offer free shipping too and other discounts/promotions (they send them by email, so you may have to sign up). I don't know about their customer service, because I have never had to use it!
DSW has the widest variety of brands of shoes I've ever seen. I have feet problems and I know I can find the best podiatrist recommended shoes that are stylish I can wear all day in comfort. The prices are amazing! Staff is there to help yet give you your privacy if you wish. Highly recommend DSW!

Sounds like a great offer, until you pick out the shoes and find out they are excluded from the offer. There is an entire list of Brands 50+ that are excluded from this offer. Good luck finding a brand with a shoe you like that is

I was desperately looking for bridal shoes. After failing to find anything a friend told me DSW had a decent selection online. I used to love shopping at DSW prior to my move so was thrilled to look. I found the perfect pair & ordered them; I was so happy that I'd be able to get them days before my final fitting. The shoes came & it was the wrong shoe. I was told by customer service that this happens & sometimes you don't know what you'll get when you order. Uhm, really?!?! Not only were the shoes a different item # & UPC # but also cheaper (yet I was billed for the more expensive shoe). After the "managers got out of a meeting" they called & promised me my shoes would be there on a Tuesday. Tuesday came & no shipping notice. I called & they "can't find my shoes" & are "sorry that they promised me" that I'd get them. What kind of banged up shop is this place?! That's a pitiful excuse for customer service.
I purchased a pair of Teva flip flops for $37.99. I loved them and wore them immediately when I got home. I then noticed the original tag from Teva stating MSRP $35. What? I called DSW and spoke to a manager Monica on June 15. She suggested I return them since I was unhappy. I said I wasn't unhappy with the shoes but with the fact DSW charged MORE than the MSRP which I had never seen done before. I asked for a credit. No can do, she said. I then called Teva and spoke to a very helpful representative who said that charging more is "allowed" and that DSW is more expensive than other stores selling their merchandise. Lesson learned. And it's not the $3.00, folks. It's the point of it all.
Order shoes online and received worn and dirty shoes called customer service a new shipment was issued size on box said 5 but shoes in box were size 6 called customer service again 3rd shipment sent was suppose to receive on 7/27 but did not receive until 7/30 shoes were in torn half
Of box. Shoes look gently used. If I wanted used shoes I would of gone to goodwill. DSW should be ashamed. Very dissatisfied and I ordered shoes in time for vacation. Shoes was not expedited after explaining their errors. Left on vacation without shoes
I have ordered from DSW countless times online. Their customer service dept. is just horrific. No one knows anything - as if it's everyone's first day on the job. Their 2 day shipping is a lie. Truly - a lie. I have only EVER recieved one item within two days- out of the dozens of items I've purchased. They also love advertising products that are NOT in stock. You won't find out that the product you ordered isn't in stock until 1-2 weeks later. I've also been shipped two pairs, of shoes on two different occasions, that were clearly used. As in dirty bottoms, soles, scuffs, etc. I was also sent a pair of sunglasses that had scratches ALL over the lenses. They replaced those without an issue, which is a shocker. FYI - They don't accept all product reviews. & if they did I guarantee you would see much more negative reviews.
My problem starts with the company sending me the completely wrong style and color of the shoe I ordered, and then continues to get worse once customer service gets involved. I have never been more aggravated in my life. I am now going on 2 weeks of trying to solve my problem, and with each email that is exchanged, a different person responds, and clearly doesnt care to read the previous emails because I am no further now than I was two weeks ago when I started talking to them. At this point I have explained that I no longer give a sh*t about getting the correct shoe, I just want my money back, but I cant get in touch with someone who will get me a refund because my emails keep getting bounced around. If they just sent me the right shoe from the very beginning we wouldnt be having this issue, and now its my problem to take care of all because some idiot wasnt doing their job correctly when shipping my shoes.
I should get a free weekender bag with 39$ or more purchase. But I didnt get anything. When I tried to contact associates nor calls not live chat is available I emailed them but havent heard anything. Very poor customer service
The experience was just okay. The shoes were slightly damaged (one of them). They were willing to help but the return was going to be too much of a hassle so we kept them but they didn't offer any discount. They are okay but I don't know if I would order through them again in the future.
I tried once more to order tried and true brand name shoes from DSW. This time the Sperry Topsiders, in the size I normally buy, were so ridiculously small and narrow that I couldn't even get them on. For some reason their shoes don't meet the same standards as the same brands in department stores. I'm hoping others are having better luck, and the return process was very easy.
I attempted to place an order & received an error message asking to call the 800#. I called and was on hold for 15 minutes, finally pressed "1" to request a callback and it is now 5 days later and still no call back. While on hold for those 15 minutes - I was IM'ing with customer service and she was not able to process my order or call me back to process the order. Highly unprofessional and complete waste of my time. I suggest as a corporation, you should start focusing on customer service - not just in the store.
Terrible experience! I placed this order well before christmas, paid for 2 day shipping to get it here on time. No updates. Called to check status on 12/22 and was told Fedex was picking up the order that day an it would arrive on 12/24. It didn't. No communications from your company whatsoever! Now I just check status again, and I see it's cancelled. AGAIN, NO COMMUNICATION from your company! Terrible customer service. I will never order again from your website.
