Have an upcoming trip to Italy with my boyfriend and love the selection they have at DSW. Never shopped here before but glad I found it. Purchased some cute shoes for my trip.
Called store about Birkenstock's Arizona Big Buckle in white, giving full description and price of shoe. Was told there we 2 in my size. I arrived at store only to find what was advertised as white online was actually a pearl/off white yet the shoe shown online was white white! I am stuck with a purchased gift card for $170 that I cannot return to Kroger! I assumed if DSW sold Birkenstock they would be authentic and true to color. The person who identified herself as a manager had no answer excepted advertising department was responsible for photos online!
Waited and waited - received emails stating items getting ready to ship - 5 days later I received an email stating they do not have the item. Could of ordered elsewhere and had by the time they emailed me. To many places can delivery working 3 days and actually have the items they offer
I love DSW, both online and the stores. Huge selection and the prices are definitely cheaper than other retail stores, even Amazon. I even purchase DSW gift cards for my mom and friends as birthday gifts. They're awesome.
I got to know about DSW through a colleague who told me that DSW sells good shoes. I love shoes a lot and can spend my money buying shoes. So I checked DSW and saw some good shoes. They looked good in the eyes. I bought three pairs of shoes and three hand bags. I didn't use those shoes up to four time before they began to peel. The leather is so fake though looked genuine. The bags are still okay but the shoes are written off. Complete waste of money.

Charged me for two pairs of shoes right away when ordering. Then charges me again for one pair when they shipped. I emailed about this as I was confused since I had already paid for both pairs. They told me that they charge in full for a "temporary hold" charge… other pair of shoes gets cancelled (on their own end) but no refund for them. I email again once the first pair arrives as they arrived in a torn apart box and what I believe to be a knockoff brand. These are for back to school for my children mind you. They say that I will get a refund for the one pair. Several days later, I am charged AGAIN. So now I have been charged for both pairs once, one pair twice AND I paid for both pairs initially. So really I have paid for both pairs multiple times. I am calling my bank to report them as fraudulent and block them from taking any more of my money!
Also the charges didn't make sense to the actual prices of the shoes. They call themselves shoephoria.

Over all rating should be a negative. I ordered shoes from the store for my very special wedding day. I paid extra for 2 day shipping, well needless to say its been a week, and still no shoes. I called the store, they said come in and we will refund the shipping fee. No I live 45mins from the store; more concerned with where the shoes are for my wedding day. Called the 866 number was on hold for 30mins with no luck of speaking to someone. I also sent an email without a response. Terrible store, terrible customer service. I am beyond angry at this point.
I am extremely disappointed in DSW's service. I placed an order online and after not receiving it after a month I reached out to find out where my order was. I went round and round for a month trying to get my boots. I bought them when they were half off for my sisters bachelorette weekend. I am so disappointed because they said they were shipping them two other times. I receive an email today stating they refunded my money if I wanted to make a new purchase. Hell no I don't! Are you kidding me! Less than two weeks from my sisters Bachelorette and I don't have them I am so furious and will never order from them again.
I'm sure the shoes are great but I wouldn't know because their website and customer service email/chat is so awful I didn't even get to make my purchase. It malfunctioned many times between not accepting my coupons, then not accepting my password or resets and when I emailed I got not response and their chat kept crashing. If you're planning to buy online I say look elsewhere.

I ordered a pair of boots, they sent the wrong item and size (heels, two sizes too big). I sent back the return, was charged for shipping (had to work that out in a separate email), got a new item on order, which they said would deliver in two days. It's been a week and I have not seen the item. When I reached out to customer service, they said it had been delivered. The boots have not been delivered to my house and tracking information has not been updated. On DSW's site, I see "Shipped". On FedEx, I see "Label Made". I have been trying to work out a return but customer service has been super challenging to work with.

They charged me shipping when it was not an issue on my end. You'll have to reach out to customer service in order to get refunded any shipping costs.
I ordered a pair of mens shoes (same style Ive purchased before & he liked so I knew what I was as ordering). These shoes were in stock & still have not arrived (email says due to arrive Sat) This will have taken (& thats if they come this Sat) almost 11 shipping/business days to get here. Thats ridiculously long. I should have just ordered on Amazon (but thought I should give other businesses a chance too when shopping online). Get it together DSW, a simplein stock itemshouldnt take more than 5-6 days at most to receive.
You do not get any satisfaction when it comes to Dsw customer service. I was charged $42 for two items. One of the item was cancelled and the cost was changed to $23 instead. However, the $42 was taken from the card. One rep told me that they only took $23 from the card and the next rep stated that the amount will be on my account for future purchase. Which amount is DSW referring to? I do not know because I was told that only $23 was taken from the account. I will not be purchasing anything else from this company so I would love for the difference to be sent to my card. Also, I haven't receive a survey from the company either after the chat as closed.
It's better than any other online store I know because, I actually got what I ordered for with a better price. I just love how amazing it is for me, it's for sure a website that I will be using again with no problems.
If you struggle to find shoes in a wide width, this is the website to go to. They have a great selection and I have ordered three pairs of shoes that have been of great quality and perfect fit. I would highly recommend them.
I ordered 2 pair of shoes from DSW and unfortunately they got stolen from my front porch, and I got in touch with customer service and they were so helpful! They gave me the choice of a refund or re sending the shoes, and because 1 pair became out of stock, they ended up sending 1 pair and refunding the other. They were so helpful, efficient, quick to respond, and accommodating. I really appreciated it!
Probably the worst online sales experience I've ever had. Never received the item and was promised it over and over and over. Do not order from them! Cannot add proof of purchase when you do not receive an item.

I bought the cutest pair of boots and the cutest pair of heels for like $60 bucks. What a deal I thought. The boots had such a cheap material covering them that they got damaged the first week I wore them outside. The heels broke the second I put them on! So, cheap stuff that made me end up spending on gorilla glue and leather tint to fix them.
I was at your Oak Brook store yesterday and was helped by Sandra M. With my return. She is a great asset to your company. She is kind, helpful and very professional. I thought I had both of my receipts and one was the wrong one. She took the time to call to get the information needed to process the return. DSW is fortunate to have Sandra on its team!
On Nov 19,2020 I called the company to see if I could receive a discount for an online purchase and was given a code, which I entered minutes after getting off the phone, but the code was not valid. I called the company again but was told that they could not honor any discounts, so I decided to purchase the item without the discount. When I went to check out, there were technical difficulties, so I called again, this time being assured that the purchase would be facilitated plus I would get the discount that I was promised. I was transferred to the final agent only to be told that I would not be getting any discount. I felt bounced around like a ball and tired of long hold waits.
I wrote my CS review while I was on hold one hour and twenty minutes. As soon as I hit the send button on the review, DWS picked up and apologized immediately for the long wait times. While NOT at all happy about the wait time the service was impeccable. I was returning shoes and buying the same shoe in a different size. I received my free label to return, they stayed on the phone to make sure I received the label and could open it and then placed the order for my shoes. The entire call took less than 10 minutes and was professionally handled. I am giving them a 3 ONLY because of the wait time. The service upon pick to me was a clear cut "5!"

No company is perfect and there is so much negativity about what people think the services should be. I was delayed and was not happy, but I had to add an addendum to my original piece because the service was top notch.

Apparently if you pay with Paypal - DSW will not exchange your shoes even though they had my money and we only wanted a different size. I called customer service and the first rep I spoke with could not clearly articulate a reason for this. So I asked for a supervisor who might explain it. What i got was a very fast speaking man from india with a very thick accent which made him unintelligible (and i have worked closely with indian nationals for years and traveled to india several times!). The end result was that they would only refund the amount of the shoe (less shipping - now 33% the cost of the shoe) even though shipping was supposedly FREE when I purchased it! RIPOFF ALERT!
I placed an order for a pair of boots and received two different types of boots for the same foot. I contacted the customer service department and they offered to send me the correct shoes I ordered and then told me they are out of stock for good and I'm out of luck and would need to return the shoes that were sent to me. I was offered a measly $5 credit for my inconvenience which almost feels like a slap in the face. I am INCREDIBLY disappointed with the lack of customer care and how long it has taken to get this resolved.
Have been sent the wrong order twice now. The first time, I received the wrong style, size, and they were filthy and used. Had clearly been worn in the snow. Customer service assured me they would send the correct item immediately. When it arrived, it was once again the incorrect style. When I contacted customer service, they continued to provide the same recommendations. That I return the shoes in store and repurchase them later for the full price. Dirty nd incorrect shoes lead me to believe they are not abiding by The Covid precautions they claim to be on their website.
I ordered a pair of slippers. DSW delivered the wrong pair. They then said they send the correct pair of slippers however, after 5 days I had to reach out AGAIN because they still had not arrived. Their customer service said they were lost in transit. They said they would send a pair within 24-48 hours. After 72 hours, the replacement/correct pair still was not delivered. I have reached out yet again to get my proper order. HORRIBLE experience
I purchased 2 pair of sanders from DSW the maker is itialian made. Horrible horrible the shoes fell apart after one month. They refused to return the shoes to the manufacturer. And refused to help me. I was told it's not their problem. I'm no longer a customer
12/18/16 - just received my order. Very unhappy! I did not get the free bag that I was to get. When I ordered the shoes I was told that I would get the bag. When I called they said they ran out. I could have saved myself shipping and the cost of ordering another item in order to receive the gift. False advertising and they should keep better track of the items they have left and not promise the free gift with you order.
