Have an upcoming trip to Italy with my boyfriend and love the selection they have at DSW. Never shopped here before but glad I found it. Purchased some cute shoes for my trip.
Called store about Birkenstock's Arizona Big Buckle in white, giving full description and price of shoe. Was told there we 2 in my size. I arrived at store only to find what was advertised as white online was actually a pearl/off white yet the shoe shown online was white white! I am stuck with a purchased gift card for $170 that I cannot return to Kroger! I assumed if DSW sold Birkenstock they would be authentic and true to color. The person who identified herself as a manager had no answer excepted advertising department was responsible for photos online!
Today I went into the Riverhead, NY store today... I wanted to ask some questions but no-one was at the registers. This really wasn't a problem, but I saw a middle aged man with gray hair and a DSW sign on texting like a maniac at the edge of the last aisle by the registers. He actually looked like he was trying to hide there. Every once and a while he's turn around a touch a piece of merchandise or two, then it was back to the furious texting. What a total turn off! There's got to be a rule about cell phone use! This guy stinks!
Tried to buy shoes at the DSW Asheville NC store. Could not use debit card as credit card. Had to have a pin number which I do not have and will not use if I did at a register. Manager said it was a corporate thing. So guess I'm no longer a DSW Shoes customer until they get this fixed.
I was very impressed with the service I received from Ruby at The DSW shoe warehouse in Elk Grove, California. She went above and beyond to help me find the exact shoes I was looking for. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I found the perfect place to go when shopping for shoes. Thanks Ruby.

I returned a pair of shoes and received confirmation from DSW that it had issued the refund (about $236) but the issuer of my credit card says it has not received anything from DSW. It is now almost a month since the purchase and I cannot get this resolved.

Shoe quality is pretty good, but I have purchased a few duds every now and then.
Mostly the issues I have with this store involve the app.
It's very laggy, it doesn't search things correctly, sorting and filtering does not work properly, and more than half the time I have to checkout on the website simply because checkout refuses to work on the app. It reminds me of Gamestop in a sense.
One annoyance is the bonuses or free gifts. They're practically impossible to obtain. And DSW doesn't like to notify you if your order actaully has the free item you potentially ordered boots for until a few days after it shipped.
Was supposed to get the free Weekender for Black Friday. In fact, I ordered very early on Thursday to get it, since I missed out on my annual perk, and DSW shipped "both items."
I wasn't notified that half my order would be missing until today. Reather agitating, since I overreached a bit on these boots to use the coupon and bonuses.
I ordered 2 pairs of shoes and paid for the items with discount code eligible for order. The next day I received an email that my order was revised because they didn't have some shoes in stock. I was charged additional charge because of their mistake. I called to cancel and according to them they couldn't canceled because it was shipped but when I checked order online it states in process.

Shoes priced online, available for store pick up, at $39.95. The shoes were priced in the store at $44.95. The shoes rung up at register at $49.95. The manager said she could not match the online price, even after checking Shoephoria and seeing the shoes are actually priced at $39.95, she said I could purchase the shoes, online, at $39.95 and come back in 4 hours and pick up the same pair of shoes I have in my hand! Are you for real? What kind of scam are you running? I ended up paying $44.95 tax (as marked on the shelf) but your polices (and/or your manager) are ridiculous! However, my DSW Order History shows I paid $34.95 and shows a pair of shoes I absolutely did not purchase. You all are totally screwed up!
I shopped online and ordered a pair of Ryka shoes. I received my notice that they were at the store and went to pick them up. I wanted to try them on to make sure they fit, and when I open the box I found that I had received used shoes. Unacceptable! I went back online to look at the site indicated that what I ordered was use and it wasn't. I will never shop at DSW again. I went to the.Ryka site and ordered the same pair for essentially the same price. Free shipping free returns right to my home. I don't ever plan to shop at DSW again and would not recommend them to anyone else.

Ordered a pair of shoes online to be picked up in the store nearest me. DSW.com took my coupons and credits, then charged my card for the balance. Showed up at the store more than 4 hours later, only to find the shoes had been SOLD to another customer. Manager claimed I wasn't charged and if I see a charge on my card to call Customer Service. Well there IS a charge on my card and I no longer have the $15 in VIP points. To date I have not gotten a response from Customer Service at all - it's like they don't exist! I have tried calling, emailing and Live Chat but never get ANYONE to respond. Total rip off - they sold my shoes and charged two customers!

I received a coupon during the Pandemic when the store was closed so I could not use it them. I called customer service and they said they would honor it when the store opened. However, the Manager would not let me do this. So I bought my shoes elsewhere. I tried to contact your customer service, the wait was 120 min. So they would call me back, but never did. Youlost my business.
I placed an order on December 14th, but never received a confirmation email about my purchase. Decided to give them a few days; maybe they were busy. Finally emailed customer service on December 19th; never got a response. Emailed another email I could find for them; no response. Got someone on chat tonight and it is honestly no help. They cannot give me a tracking number for my order because I had it shipped to the store. All they can tell me is that it will be there "soon" and the store will contact me in 48-72 hours. Fun fact DSW, it's Christmas and in 72 hours it will be too late. I can honestly say that I will not be ordering anything else from DSW online.
Lastly, I would have given them zero stars, but this site made me pick one.

I wish i could show a pic of how the boots looked when i received them in the mail. Beyond damaged, holes, torn, stains, i was shocked. Called them, they said they would re order them for me. Ummm ok? I had to ASK for expedited shipping and wanted atleast a partial refund for me having to wait longer AND having to go return the damaged ones... but they ligit REFUSED any type of compensation money wise. Again i was shocked. Never buying from them again and letting everyone know my experience!
Turns out the coupons you get in the mail are only good for 60% of the brands offered in the stores. The brands not included are most of the major brands like Nikes, Adidas, Doc Martens, Merrill and the list goes on. Be aware of you think your gonna save money with your coupons, thin again!
Never going to use dsw again. Bought new dockers online, put them on the first time and shoe string breaks on Left one, I reajust the string and it breaks again. I just want new shoestrings but dsw makes it a hassle by forcing me to return and excahnge them. No regard for the customer experience, just rote reading of the return script on their end. NO MORE DSW.

First time ordering online, when I received the shoes they were the wrong color, I took it in the store for an Exchange and was told I had to pay additional money for taxes. Why am I paying additional money when its DSW error.
Then I didn't learn from the first time and decided to order another pair of shoes since I recieved points, shoes was delivered but wrong size. Now again I have to waste my time driving to fedex to drop off the return and hope I get the right size.

I was in a DSW store today looking for shoes to wear for work. None of the employees asked me if I needed help, so I had to walk all over the store to find a worker. When asking the girl if they had any kind of work shoes in womens she had no clue and she did not know of any type of shoes that she would recommend. So I would have liked to talk to a manager or someone that had knowledge with shoes. I did not get the help I needed, so I left the store dissappointed.
Here is what happended to me when I was a DSW customer.
I placed a pickup DSW order (~200$). Before I picked it up, I received an email saying something like "thanks for picking up the order at the store". I immediately called DSW customer service for help as I didn't pick it up and didn't authorize anyone to pick it up. DSW customer said"it was marked as picked up in their system and cannot help with refund unless I provide evidence that i didn't pick it up by getting video footage from the local store or neighborbood to prove I didn't pick it up". Not long after, that local store was closed. The store was gone... I cannot connect with the store customer service anymore...Called multiple DSW times and ask to speak with supervisor... NOT helpful at all.
Yeah, dispute via credit card bank provider is the way to go.
They lose myself and my friends as customers. Ultimately, their loss.
Hope DSW management that care for DSW see customers' complains and take actions.
I placed an order on November 28,2022 I had ordered a pair of shoes that I had needed for a banquet that I will be going to on December 10. I received my shoes on December 7 when I receive my shoes my shoes have been worn, they were all scuffle stretched up and on the bottom you could tell they have been worn and they had a hole in them contact DSW. They said that I could not get my shoes overnight to me so I told him I wanted to speak with a supervisor. Supervisor said that they will ship the shoes and I will receive them in two days here it is December 9 I still have not received my shoes. I will not be ordering from them again.
I purchased -Timberland-Skyla Bay Slip-On for a trip I had. Very excited when the package arrived; as soon as I opened the package and saw the shape the box was in, I was very disappointed. Box should have been repacked as it was cut and missing a portion. As I removed the slip ons, I came to see that the security tag was still attached. I work 12 hours a day and knew I didn't have time to go to the store prior. This is beyond inconvenient and not sure within the next month I will have an opportunity to physically go to the store to have it removed. My blood is boiling and I'm so disappointed.
Sent email October 5th. Today Oct 20th, Still did not received a reply. Sent another email with how disappointed I was. Was just wanting an apology never received one and still not sure when I can return these shoes for a full refund now. I have spent a lot of money with them. Now they lost a good customer. I purchase shoes, sneakers & boots for my family. Every year.

I visited the Monroeville PA store on Saturday 10-17-2020. I purchased two pairs of shoes. Nicole was the young lady that assisted me at the check out counter. Very pleasant and helpful. I ordered shoes on Nov 24 when I was checking out it said 3-4 days for delivery to store. Well here we are 6 days later very rude customer service representatives from overseas
