After a cancelled flight and no reasonable offer of alternative transport to my destination from Eastern Airways, I had to pay for an alternative trip to my destination.
It has taken SIX MONTHS to get a refund and even longer to receive the legally binding compensation for extra costs and long delay.
They would email me giving a specified deadline for paying out, then would fail that deadline and add on another 8 - 12 weeks.
When I enquired about delays I was subjected to rude and derisory commentary from their inappropriately titled Customer 'Services' - seems they have scoured the UK to find a collection of the most ugly natured unpleasant people on the planet, appointed them. Lobotomised them and put them in Eastern Airways Customer Services team!
An airline to be avoided at all costs!

This airline are abysmal and should be avoided at all costs - a horrible company employing horrible practices and even more horrible staff.
Several of us booked flights from Southampton Airport to Paris. Having checked in and got airside the company then cancelled the flight at the last minute and without warning. Passengers were literally frogmarched back to check in by an unhelpful and rude member of staff. On return to check, two staff were beyond vile in attitude and behaviour to passengers and we had to wait for ages for our luggage to be returned.
Many of us were left significantly out of pocket having to pay for alternative transport to our destination.
When I called Eastern Airways "Customer Services" concerning recompense the staff there were ignorant, rude, and even more vile than the vile check in staff. The lot of them are proper nasty at every juncture, including the customer services team leaders and managers. They get really nasty when you complain.
It is now some 5 months later and we are still waiting for reimbursement as the horrible staff promise deadlines then fail to meet those payment deadlines. When you phone to query you are belittled, patronised and bullied by their inappropriately titled customer service staff. They boast that they can take as long as they want because the CAA don't enforce time frames for payment!
A truly disgusting company in every aspect!
