I reached out to the online chat option for an issue I was having with unlocking tests. TWICE I was disconnected from the agent (the screen literally shows "Agent has left the chat)-I attached the screenshot to this feedback. I am sure you know how frustrating it is to go through all of the details, spend 20 minutes back and forth and then be told to "Hold while we look into this for you" only to have the agent leave the chat, leaving me without an answer. And then, to have to do this all over again with another agent who DOES THE EXACT SAME THING TO ME!
I ended up calling the 800 number and waiting on hold for 12 minutes for someone to answer-luckily he was able to tell me what the issue was but this had now taken my entire class period. And let me just say, this was not the first time-they did this with me previously when I did online chat asking about an answer key.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE-I am writing an email to the District to make sure that they know just how awful this platform is.

My children are just not able to learn efficiently on this app. It is the most boring, time consuming thing that encourages rote learning. I thought we got beyond that? Did my school district simply purchase the cheapest platform out there? My kids are normally A and B, bright and happy students. My 10th grader has several classes that use Edginuity exclusively for the class, and surprise, she has A's in all classes that use other forms of learning and F's in the Edginuity classes. I even attempted to help and we got a 50% on a quiz, when I had a college gpa between 3.8 and 3.97. There is no excitement in learning with this thing, and she is getting so discouraged thinking there is no point to school. This is scary and I'm doing everything I can to try and teach all 7 classes myself, but I am not a chemistry teacher or mathematician, and I have a younger child and keeping him on track as well. I can't imagine a parent with more children.

Virtual Learning
November 29, 2020

Although the concept of virtual Learning seems like an acceptable alternative to attending public schools, there are a great number of downfalls. Not having a "live instructor" being the number one problem.

My daughter recently took a 'placement' test. She was given NO context, we came from out of state and were given the runaround by the district. She is a straight A student, and had already skipped two grades, and managed to stay at the top of her class. Now do to bureaucratic@%$#^ she now has to repeat a grade that she WAS making As in, even after passing it as a homeschooled student. The company makes money, and the district doesn't want to budge on protocol that makes no sense. I wouldn't trust anything this company is selling.

Customer support
March 24, 2021

I was having technical difficulties with one of my courses in Edgenuity, I could not access any information, and I had students that also could not access the course. I emailed the technical support team at Edgenuity, they responded with an update that they needed to forward my situation to engineering, and within a few hours, the situation was resolved, and I had another message from them to inform me that everything was up and running.
They were fast, efficient and friendly. I am pleased with the support from Edgenuity.

We have had several glitches with Edgenuity, but our reps and engineers have been amazing about getting us back up and running quickly. We have been using Edgenuity for 5-6 years now and our lab coordinators love it!

One reason on a no school day we still have work to do, which means every day of the school year we have work to do if we dont want to get behind.that is the reason why i am over 40 hours behind.Over all edgenuity learning is not fun.Getting a answer correct along with hearing the ring sound is the only satisfying thing along with passing the unit test and assignments. It would be nice if somebody got a answer wrong the sound could be nicer. One last thing when i fail a unit test twice i get discouraged

They don't teach you anything. Its boring. The teachers are terrible. They give you 20 lessons a day and expect you to do them all. And they will just toss 6 quizzes at you every day, im positive not even highschool or college has 6 QUIZZES A DAY. Please don't use this unless you just love being stressed and have nothing else to do but work all, day, long.

DON'T DO IT
September 30, 2021

As leaving a zero star review is not an option I'll leave 1 star.
There is ZERO communication. ZERO.
There is a laissez-faire attitude about supplies ("Well you know what your student needs.")
There is a drastic lack of structure with the hope that your student will know what they need to do. But the "good news" is that my student gets to have 2,10 minute meetings with a staff member who will provide a report card of sorts, not if communication thus far has been any indication.
Such a disappointment after such a great learning experience in my school district last year.

I have used Edgenuity for school very often and this happens every time. I can multitask see. So when I make the tab smaller ( not close it or hide it) just having it smaller than full screen glitches it out. The glitches include, but are not limited to, the videos repeatedly scrolling themselves out of the boundaries, pixelization of the screen, tab/tabs repeating horizontally making it seem like i have hundreds of the same tabs stacked on top of eachother, screen flickering, and much more. There have also been a glitch that has effected both my friends and I: Flickering. This glitch happens after you use the program and may last weeks. It hasn't happened before to any one of my friends. It has happened directly after using the program. If that could get fixed I would be very grateful.

Brainwashing
February 27, 2023

This school not only overloads my child's mind with excess work and information but also has a heavy political undertone in each subject (particularly English). The English course is only focused on race, particularly the achievements of minorities which is not bad on its own but ruins the study of English by only focusing on one select group. There is nothing in the course about Hemmingway, Austin, or any other great English writers. Woke and would not recommend it.

Team member was courteous and very knowledgeable in the assistance that was needed. He explained what needed to be done and investigated various solutions to solve the problem. Gave direction on what to do within the district operations and problem was resolved.

My son used to love learning and when I introduced him to edgenuity he was so excited. But doing that was the worst mistake I ever made. Edgenuity lowers a child's morale and charges them so much work to do in so little time. He was a straight A student until edgenuity came into our lives. He lost his passion for learning all together. I tried to make him like learning again but after his experience with edgenuity he says that learning sucks. And if I'm being honest learning doesn't suck EDGENUITY SUCKS!

As a teacher, I find Edgenuity easy to use. I have the flexibility to turn assignments on or off and individualize for students. I use the lessons to supplement my direct teaching. One of my students had a video that got stuck. When I reached out to Edgenuity they fixed it immediately. Thank you!

Summed Review
March 16, 2023

This review is going to be simple and short.

This website is $#*!ing hilarious. The poorly sized stock photos of random children and random objects that have nothing to do with the subject, the mundane teachers reading a script, the 240p resolution, the unexpected mic booms, I could go on.

This website is hilarious and I would not recommend lmao.

Edgenuity is an amazing program for students and teachers. Students love the video instruction and guided notes, and the instructors love the student progress data and the ability to customize the courses to fit student and school needs. The support teams that work with schools are knowledgeable and patient. They take specific school needs into consideration when giving us support and guidance. Thank you for all you do to help provide us with quality instruction and support.

It is terrible at teaching, for example I have been given questions which I am not told how to answer until 2 chapter later. Not only that but the unskippable long videos and assignments assigned everyday make it unbearably hard to catch up if you are ever sick or otherwise unable to do Edgenuity. I have taken a course on College Algebra over Barton Community College which was a semester of work condensed into a month, and I still liked it better. Because even if it was hard, I at least wasn't having vital information left out.

Why?
April 29, 2021

I had to deal with Edgenuity in public school and the customer service/technical support let something to be desired. This has translated to Ignitia in a private Christian school. To tell me to just clear MS Edge's history may fix the problem of the videos not playing is not acceptable. I told the person that we were getting the message "html5 video not found" is not a browser history problem. Needless to say the problem was not fixed.

I hate this course so much i would rather be gang stalked by the cia and have a chip put in my brain and the get arrested and deported to a military camp and receive harsh training and go to war where i get captured by the enemy and get my nerve endings are frayed; get thrown into a pit of snakes and be forced to spend the rest of my life as a shut in when i am rescued. This is my actual feelings. Please stop putting 12 video lessons within a lesson. It would be better to just make it one video, and have an option to contact a tutor directly. Separate quizzes for each lesson are personally annoying and unneeded. AND PLEASE MAKE EVERYTHING ONE COURSE I for some reason have to take 2 separate geometries, which makes no sense. It would make my life so much better and others too. Thanks. But i don't think you're gonna listen, so good luck to the others out there who are going through this absolute hellhole. Welcome to your own personal hell.

First week of virtual learning for my 4.0+ advanced 10th grader. The teacher even stated she didn't fully understand it. Nothing about this makes any logical sense, and it is glitchy. (Rest of the internet in the house is working fine) I have a VERY upset honors student trying her hardest to figure out 1. How to use this program, and 2. Ultimately teach herself Algebra II. Extremely disappointed and feeling helpless as a parent.

My daughter recently had a (rare) echnical Issue where she couldn't move to next activity. (The issue was resolved very quickly.) Overall, she is good at math, but also the lectures have been very good too and I'm happy. I wouldn't mind if there were more skip ahead testing out since some of the topics are review.
