I recently helped family members move to a town almost 400 miles away. I reserved a car to return home as I drove the moving van to the new town. When I tried to pick up my car I was told that the town I live in does not accept one way vehicles and had to scramble to find another way home. This information should have been made clear upon making the reservation online.
I rented a car and I gave in a promotion code and it didn't go through on the website I gave it on the phone and they told me they will credit me the money and they did not credit the money
I gave 2 stars because I've rented cars from Enterprise without problems, and the cars were clean, and the employees courteous. However, I had a horrible experience trying to rent a truck for my move. In Quebec July is the busiest time of the year to move. I made several calls to nearby Enterprise offices to rent a truck for July 9. They could not let me leave the truck in the city I was moving to, even though they have Enterprise offices in that city. I called 3 different Enterprise offices and they all told me different things about whether there were trucks availble. I ended up with 3 rental reservations and none were guaranteed because apparently no one could confirm that they'd even have a truck available for the 9th. Stressful and not what you want coming up to your big move! No waiting lists, no guarantees, no information as to whether they even had available trucks, let alone where. Their offices don't appear to communicate with each other, and there doesn't appear to be an inventory system they can rely on, which is absolutely ridiculous for a rental company. They gave me the excuse that it was a busy month. They said I had to call them within the week of my scheduled move to see if I could reserve a truck… that I already had reservations booked for… Yeah no thanks, I'll go with a different rental company and not lose my sanity or risk not being able to move, because of Enterprise's disorganization.

GARBAGE! I went to the Lantana location and dealt with Louise Williams, who was very uneducated on her products and how to properly tell the customers what they are signing. I guess she just wants to make a bonus? Also, Joshua is the WORST "Area" Manager because "he only does email"... hahaha, what type of "Manager" only does email? They STOLE money from me and charged my card without permission. If someone even tries to deny this from your incompetent team of disrespectful employees, I will put up the receipts. You're disgusting. STEALING MONEY DURING COVID! GROSS!

Absolutely make sure that they explain what you are signing. They did not tell me what I was signing. They said I was signing a paper to take the car out, confirming I picking it up. Then, they charged me almost $300 because they lied and put more insurance on my car. They basically stole my money. They are big scammers. This happened to multiple people I know. I will NEVER use this company again. The women at the Lantana location were VERY rude as well. They should not be in customer service.

Money is the root of all evil. And enterprise car rental is it's name. You CANNOT treat people so badly and except good things to come from it.
On June 9 we rented a 2022 Ford Edge from the 2150 State Road location in Miramar, FL. Gabriela Alvarez gave excellent customer service. When I called to delay the pick up time, she suggested the best time so that my husband was able to get in and out without any hassle. She was very friendly and courteous.

WOW! What an incredible team at Enterprise located in Hixson, TN! I had traveled to Chattanooga on business when my personal car had to be put into the shop early on the morning of 8/22/23. Enterprise had a car for me to rent and Roger, a very, very nice employee picked me up at my work location, what a joy he was, so personable. Cody, an incredible Enterprise associate gave me beautiful red, convertible Mustang. Cody was exceptional to work; very professional making sure everything was just perfect. Had me checked in and out the door in a very timely manner, just very impressive. On return of the car, Abigail had me checked out in no time and was so very nice to take me to pick up my personal car in the shop. I can't say enough good things about my experience at this Enterprise. I can assure you that if I ever need a rental and anywhere close to this location, I will definitely give them my business.

I am stuck in a small town of new mexico. Enterprise is the only car rental in this town. I have talked to representative after representative and also the disability and escalations department about my situation and this is what happened. I have Crohn's disease and mental illness. I need to get out of this small town to get to a major city where I can get the treatment and meds that I need or I will get sick. I am not allowed to rent a car from Enterprise due to the fact that I do not have a New Mexico license. Therefore, I cannot use my banker debit card and I do not have a major credit card to pay for this purchase and they will not allow me to use my mother's credit card to pay for the purchase because she is not physically here. So because of these reasons I called the escalations department to see if they can make an exception due to my disability needs and they told me that because of the policy they are unable to help me be able to rent a car so that I can get to a place where I can get my medical treatment. They would not allow my mom to make the payment because she is not physically here and that is policy. With this company policy is more important than someone's life. So as I sit here for the next 3 weeks and wait for the engine in my car to be replaced and get sicker and sicker we know who to blame.

Make sure that you are putting up your reviews on how enterprise car rentals treats you, especially if you have a disability. Apparently they only help certain people with certain disabilities but not all disabilities.

Enterprise normally good about renting cars from them easy to communicate with them but for some reason they gave me the runaround I called the 800 number they gave me the runaround and told me lies when they tell me they been put in something in the computer the other store do not have it when they told me that they will get the manager to call me back I get no calls from nobody when I called the stores I could not get help they gave me the runaround Enterprise on 80 hung up in my face a couple of times I called bad the bad they don't see me in a computer they Napa heard from nobody I couldn't get help from nobody Enterprise needs to tighten up because it is Harry gonna start doing business they gonna lose all the customers and me they had lost me I will try not to deal with Enterprise anymore they was good but they no longer good anymore not me I cannot speak for anyone else They gave me poor service
Women beware! I had a terrible experience at the Philly Airport office today (June 29th, 2022). I have never experienced such unprofessional, hostile, rude behavior and service in all my time renting a car (3-4 times a year for work). When I asked if I could take advantage of one of my free upgrades as a gold member, the attending employee chastised me and said Enterprise doesn't have a gold membership plan. When his colleague next to him corrected him, he said it didn't matter anyway as there were no free upgrades at this location. When I asked which of the two SUVs he had to offer had sunroofs, he was smug and said I could go look for myself. Thankfully, a colleague walked out with me. Once outside, he shared he was a manager in training and deeply apologized for his colleague's sexist and rude behavior. No way did I detest e to be treated that way, he said. Then, another employee walked by, and when I asked if he was the manager, he said, "No, why? Are those guys in the office being douche bags?". He had no idea that what he had just said was utterly wrong and unprofessional on so many levels.
Then, I sat for nearly ten minutes at the exit as I was given the "wrong" contract" and am still waiting for the correct version via email. I will never rent from Enterprise at Philly again and am doubtful I'll choose Enterprise at all. Sexist, rude, and utterly unprofessional.
Due to a problem with my Lexus, I left it at Ken Shaw Collission Centre at 2336 St. Clair Av. W., Toronto and consequently signed a rental agreement for a car with Enterprise rent-a-car located there. Based on dealing with peolpe (Oscar was one of few guys) at Enterpeise rent-a-car I must warn others - DO NOT USE this place! Totally incompetent, disorganized, unprofessional, total NEGLIGENCE! They don't return calls, do not provide necessary documents, using a car on your VOID rental agreement and getting tickets, no respect for customer's time and money! I have been told that Oscar is also at another location (Dundas West). Watch out. Never available, never returning your calls. Dishonest and not trustworthy operation. Make sure that you check a rental car in every detail! My car Toyota had a major damage that an employee was not even aware of it. Make sure that all your papers are legally correct and you will not become a victim of unread documents. They use a tablet to show you a contract, which is impossible to read. Just fast, fast initials. I never received a voided rental agreement for the first car that I didn't use and I asked several times for it. Also never received a rental agreement for another, second car. Just be aware!
I had a layover in Phoenix AZ and had called to reserve a car at the Avondale location and when my 8 year old son, my husband and myself got to the location (30 minutes after calling) they told me the car i called about wasn't there but they had a Lincoln for $230/day. The car i had reserved was going to be $78/day. They didnt offer to compensate or help us in any way. Not to mention i had explained we were going to have to walk a mile and a half in 110 degree weather with a child to pick said car up. Then when we got there i told them there was no way i was spending that much on a car for 6 hours. It ended up ruining one days worth of my sons vacation (we had planned a zoo visit and site seeing while we were there). They didn't offer to give us a ride(i later found out they offer to pick you up and drop you off if you need a ride) nor any compensation or discount for their mistakes. Then when i contacted customer service I dont get any answer except "We will inform the manager of that location and they'll contact you". Well its been two months and 6 emails to corporate and i still haven't been contacted.
Dont waste your money supporting Enterprise! They're are a-lot of apps for rentals now a days and it helps support local individuals!
Yesterday, I reserved a car and I tried to contact the loca office today for either pick up or delivery. For 3 hours I tried and nothing. I called Enterprise headquarters and the first time transferred me but didn't pick up. Called again and the second rep was awful without any choices. Asked for customer elevation who called the office and said nobody could drop off the car and couldn't get picked up. Hardly any drivers to cal Lyft so I took an early ride. They couldn't manually enter my credit card that I lost and capital sent me all the information through Apple Pay. The pad didn't have the capability to manually enter the number. Had to use my debit card. Absolutely horrendous service. The. Here comes the car with disgusting cigarette smoke. Told me he didn't have any cars so I said I'll wait since I was early. Finally did get a car. Was it the employee at the office fault? NO! It's whomever is the greedy jerk who leaves one employee to do every and still have the same amount of work for that young man to do (Zach). Shame on corporate and it's not COVID because lack of employees. I was rude to Zach and it wasn't his fault he is by himself. Shame on you Enterprise!
We picked up a Fiat Panda at the Heraklion (Crete) Port office. The next morning it would not start; the battery was bad. After much argument Enterprise finally sent someone out with a replacement car, but we lost half a day of our vacation waiting around.
Then upon return to the States, I reserved a car online for pickup at SeaTac airport and return in downtown Eugene OR. However when I tried to pick up the car I was told that a debit card was not acceptable for one-way rentals, only a credit card; we do not have a credit card. There was nothing in the reservation process that mentioned this stipulation. Furthermore, the Crete reservation was made with a debit card with no problem (car was returned at the Chania airport).
The result was that I was forced to go to another rental company (Budget) who did accept my MasterCard debit card, although of course since this was not reserved in advance, all the economy cars had sold out and I had to rent a large vehicle at twice the price I'd budgeted for. Plus because Budget has only an airport office, this added a lot of time and hassle to the final leg of my trip.
I will not be using Enterprise again and will not recommend it to anyone.

Personally National, ALamo, Sixt is better. This is what was told to me.
1) If you need to reach somewhere a 15 seater vehicle should be fine. (I booked a compact car, and they didnt have any cars other than 15 seater. They had 2 SUV's but they were out within some time)
2) Un-updated website: I wonder why if 20 people ask for a compact car, and they have just 2 in stock, why cant they declare on their website that they dont have these cars available. I realise it's tough logistics but I kinda confirmed I will be needing a compact car 2 days ago and even received a response that yes they have the stock and I would get the compact car.
3) They keep cars "on hold" for people. A lady, who arrived before me, kept a car "A" on hold and was waiting for a possible new renter to return a smaller car "B". So the car "A", was just kept idle all the time. Pretty weird policy, since a car was no kept on hold for me. Eventually Car "B" arrived after 1 hour and I got to drive car "A".
Awaiting response from enterprise Area Manager
My car agreement number is *******. I was wrongfully charged $495.98 on 9/3/2019 for broken window due to a car break-in. The incident happened around 9.30pm on 9/2/2019 near College Park, GA. The police case number is 19-*******.
When I rented the car, I specifically informed the lady behind the counter that I don't have any car insurance. She nodded and told me it's fine. When I was shown the car, no one informed me about any liability or insurance policies I should be aware of. It is until the crime when I returned the car to Enterprise ATL. The people who worked there asked me to go upstairs see the people behind the counter. People behind the counter asked me to go to the office located at car pick up. Car pick up place asked me to go to return the car place. Eventually, one lady told me I needed to pay for the broken window which I was a victim of. I could not believe no one helped me and even trying to taking advantage from me, an innocent victim. I am deeply disappoint towards the company and customer service. I am not going to and will definitely not recommend this company to anyone.
Rented a mini van for Christmas week well in advance. We even called this enterprise location last night to confirm that they had a minivan.

I voiced my disappointment to the branch manager, Brook Morris.
Outcome: She refused to rent a vehicle to my husband and me. She called the police. The police came. She had the police waiting in the lobby for a good 10 minutes as she was hiding in her office. They tried to talk to her. They led her out to us so she could say she was refusing service.
The 2 police officers talked to me outside and said that she was unprofessional and they themselves apologized for the treatment and have never seen such behavior from a manager.
This all happened at 7:30 am on the eve of Christmas eve.
Enterprise, what kind of people are you hiring? I am appalled to say the least and will NEVER return to Enterprise for my car rental needs.
Note: my husband I have have been renting from this location quite often and the previous manager, Hannah was wonderful. We understand that things happen and that the minivan was not available - but the issues I feel could have been adverted:
1. Let us know that a mini van wasn't available ahead of time. Why would we have to call to confirm this?
2. If a manager is unable to help with the issue - have a higher up be able to step in and aid.
3. Not sure if it is ok for you all to refuse service like this, when it is something not of a luxury but of a necessity.

One month prior to our extended families vacation trip, my husband called the Enterprise Rent-A-Car office to book a 7 seat minivan for us and our extended family. We thought all was well after my husband called Enterprise the day before confirming the car was ready. The next day at 7:30, we go to our appointment to pick up the car and long behold, they say they don't have a minivan for us, even after telling us it was ready. They told us that all they had was an Enterprise shuttle van. This van has the enterprise rent-a-car words writing on it. It's ridiculous to drive around with that van. This really set us off after we clearly needed this car and even booked it a month in advance, not to mention them lying to us about it being ready the day before our trip. They didn't even apologize to us which really disappointed us. As for the trip, we had to take our SUV which was too small to bring all of our items, and very tight and uncomfortable for our 4 hour trip. In all, Enterprise is not a reliable car rental company and the customer service was terrible, be cautious if you are planning to book a car here.
Worst rental car ever they do not check their cars before giving them out I had problems with a car they gave me literally 2 days after I got it and I called them and they told me to take an Uber to another enterprise and there will be a ready car for me I got there and they tell me they can't give another car and they couldn't give me a ride home after being told that I would get a car
Renting the truck and delivering it back wasn't a problem. It was fine, but make sure if you need road side service DO NOT USE ENTERPISE'S ROAD SIDE SERVICE. Anyone the insurance that you would pay for through enterprise does not cover any roadside service. So if you need use roadside service use your personal roadside service that was they don't charge you an insane amount. I rented a truck and on the way back to drop it back off i had a flat tire. And when all said and done they charged me $1068 for a tire change doubled the amount of what renting the truck cost.
I called to make a reservation and they CONFIRMED that there is a Nissan Versa available at this branch. CONFIRMED. I go there, there's no car NOR A RESERVATION! LOLOL bro how?! I called the day before for the res, I CALL THE DAY OF to confirm the address. I call them after the branch tells me there's no cars and this is the cherry on top, they told me there was NEVER a reservation under my name. LOLOLOLOL I've never experienced a system so trash….
Long story short I call to triple check my vehicle will be at the correct location at the time I'm getting a friend to uber me, I get there Thursday at 130 to shelton ct and the woman in the front was kinda rude ( we don't have your appointment, must be in Bridgport, we can upsell you a more expensive car though, absolutely not going to happen, this is not acceptable and I then I call and talk to customer support who claims a manager in the area will reach back asap and have gotten a voice message or phone call so horrible job so far and yes I'm still waiting for a call, apologies, and what they can do for me-
I'm gonna need the company to come pick me up, I'm gonna need the company to give me a better vehicle for the same cheap price, I will get a phone call by someone very soon or I'll keep leaving these honest reviews, demanding better from your company shouldn't be to hard…
Yesterday I reserved a suv to be picked up at 4:30 tomorrow and returned the next day at 4:30, one day rental $59.00
My wife picked up the suv at 4:10 and the agent said it was 3:10 and then charged her for an xtra 2hr rental at $20 per hour =$40 Crazy a $59 rental went to $99 with out telling her of the xtra charges SCAM to increase the $$$$

Rented one last time last week for my birthday for two days. I was charged for 3 days but they refunded the third day and then charged a 3rd day again! After, bringing my bank statement to them, they refuse to refund me abd says, " they can't, since they refunded it already " even though it was charged again after they refunded me. They agreed it shouldn't be charged but they refused to make it right. All because they refunded me once but charged twice and I was told to contact my bank. They screwed up my account by fraudulent charges. My bank is now taking care of it! But, it was their responsibility to reimburse charges for an extra day rental tgat I never used the car for. Even with proof! Obviously someone in their company is banking out on our money we don't owe! I WILL NEVER EVER use them EVER again!'
