I recently started using Epos Now, and it's been great! The setup was quick and super easy, and the system is simple enough for everyone on my team to use. Anytime I've had questions, their support team has been friendly and helpful. It's made handling orders and tracking inventory way easier. Highly recommend if you're looking for a hassle-free POS system!
Avoid at all costs. COMPLETE LACK OF TRANSPARENCY There till will not connect to a portable router. After spending a couple of days with the account manager who involved their technical team, their system will not connect to the portable router. As it stands.Getting a fiber connection is very difficult as my business is in an old building and will require the council to dig up approximately 60ft of pavement and could take months for the work to be done. Other POS companies use standard devices with no issues. Now they are expecting me to pay £49 a.month for nothing. They can get lost. I let expert market know and they were disgusted. Whatever complaint you raise, they do not uphold it. They are criminal. DO NOT CHOSE EPOSNOW.
We were told and sold that this is the best system for our bust pub/restaurant business and was second to none... this can only be a most wanted statement in any business if the people behind the core are on top of their game and unfortunately (Jacyn Heavens) this is not the case in my/our most recent experience.
Before we even went live we have pulled out of this relationship with EPOS Now: I'm sure there are many good things with this product but the sales/service model behind it has truly let it/ourselves down to our most recent business purchase experience and would not want any part of a relationship with what we in a short period of three weeks have been put through and with a wasteful amount of promises and time consumed.
In business we must all be willing to listen and learn to move forward for the customers we serve and if not the business will be eventually slide to a halt or hesitation in customer confidence.
A very unhappy and potential long lasting customer who is happy to walk away from EPOS Now.
Had to phone regarding no connection with till. The problem was resolved very quickly and he was very polite and talked me through every stage excellent.

Heavily Flawed by the Product Upload system (or lack of one)

The system is let down by its inability to handle uploading/exporting products etc from spreadsheets, you really need to consider this function, it took an age to upload our products one by one, and now since we had a price increase from our suppliers i have to adjust all the prices one by one! So old hat, it took around 12 hours to upload all our products and that's for a small hairdressers!
They will upload products for you or course - For £300 which will not be mentioned pre-sale!
If i could export to spreadsheet and adjust the prices etc en-masse then re upload to the server that would be so much better, a function adopted by pretty much any other system of this type by the way, I have a theory this system is not adopted as they want the £300 from you to upload your products for you, not acceptable.
The other let down is the booking function, not very well designed or user friendly, we have had to adopt a separate system for this which is unfortunate.
I also submitted 2 tickets to customer support, neither of which were answered, which you don't expect when you are being charged £360 a year for premium support.
All in all this company could be great but is let down by being greedy and focusing more on sales/squeezing the last penny out of customers rather than looking after its current clients.

Great system. Only problem is i wanted to integrate with shopify and it doesnt look like it can do that yet.
The back office is suburb and the service has been excellent.
Great system, easy to programme and manage without having to call for support. Great solution for a small business like ours. And big enough to cope with future growth, too.

The sales guys will tell you anything just to make the sale. We were told specific functionality that the system could do and upon signing up and trying to use that functionality in our training, we were told it couldn't do that functionality!
The training was awful as well. We were given a junior who had been there 2 weeks who put us on hold after every question as couldn't answer any of them.
We have requested a refund for the kit and the system (cost almost £3,000) but they refuse to authorise the return.
They say they are looking into matters when I speak to them on the phone and then don't hear back from them for days or weeks. Then when I do call them again myself, they seem to have no recollection of what they said they were going to do to look into it. Just getting stone walled!
So we are now stuck with 2 till systems which cost us almost 3k (which are still in their boxes and never been used) and not being allowed to send them back (can't see why though as they could just resell the computers as still untouched in their boxes).
We're now having to seek legal advice which is going to cost us and eposnow even more money and probably end up in court.
Beats me why they won't just accept the return and let us both move on.

The customer services consultant, Tim, was very knowledgable, helpful and friendly. And was happy to answer all my questions I had and suggest ways I could do things.
I purchased an eposnow POS system for my rental equipment company based on the sales person's presentation and how he said it was great for our business. 2 months later, the system is sitting on a desk and we do not use it because it is not programmed to work in taking partial payments in advance and if it is capable, we wouldnt know about it because you have to hold for atleast 30 minutes to get a hold of someone on their customer service line that we also pay an additional 39 dollars a month for each month. I was hung up by a tech support person by the name of Alex and they have our number but he never called me back so I don't think it was an accident. I feel he didn't want to help and thought I was a lot of "extra work" since I am not as Tech savvy. I have yet to hear back from the company. After investing over $2000 dollars in this "EPOSNOW" system, the company just shut us down, They are fast to call you if they think you want another system. Thumbs down, do not trust this company! They promise you the moon to sell the system but stinks when it comes to customer service.

I would not use this company ever again.
Before you consider an install just trying getting hold of the support team either by phone or live chat. Bear in mind you will need them when something has gone wrong - like you can't take payments or your till has gone down. They are truly dreadful to deal with. They state the issues in getting hold of there support team was due to an issue nationwide problem - I can assure you that I have experienced this every time I've tried getting hold of support. Wait times of over 45 mins is not uncommon.
Update- I spoke with one of their support yesterday * who I must say was very helpful and got the card machines up and running. However I must point out this took well over 2 and a half hours over the phone. Customer services got in touch and I simply asked if there was any gesture of goodwill available as I've spent hours on hold to support and hours setting up there system. The reply was to blame a network issue (I opted for a sim card machine so this wouldn't happen, turns out EPOS NOW hadn't activated the sim) they then simply copy and pasted their T and C's to say they weren't liable. EPOS NOW are fully aware that we are not for profit organization and my personal time is given up on a voluntary basis. I will not be renewing the contract and I wish I had stuck to a simple till system.

The cloud-based, Hospitality solution from EPOSNOW is central to our bar's business: it enables seamless integration of new product lines; offers financial reports in unlimited detail; simplifies bar staff management; and as I'm fast discovering, through their own App Store, customisation options open up new ways to maximise the return on our investment. At its core is a brilliant piece of software, which in combination with elegant looking hardware, *just works*. Worth mention is the Promotions function - loads of options and simple to apply selectively or otherwise. Yes - I'm fairly new to the sector, but I did my research and EPOSNOW really stood out amongst competing products. I especially like that it's so easily scalable - I'm already planning a second terminal on-site, and looking into the potential to expand EPOSNOW across our organisation, to other outlets. I run a HVAC Sales and Repair shop in Jamaica. I found this system while doing research on POS on the internet. It seemed like a good fit based on my conversations with the Sales agent Paul Lynch (he assured me it would work), however i am unable to log non-inventory items like services in this system which is not ideal for a repair shop. I made the purchase approximately two weeks ago on May 30th, since Monday June 15th I have been locked out of my back office with a prompt for me to pay again as my subscription expired on April 3rd which makes no sense. I HAVE ONLY HAD THE SYSTEM 2 WEEKS. I have been sending emails contacting Paul as well as calling both the US and UK offices to no avail. I have stayed on the line a total of 6 hours since last night and this morning waiting for someone to address my calls. I sent in support tickets, I messaged my 'trainer' Kylie and no one seems to want to address my issue. At this point I DO NOT want to use this company if this is the way you do business. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, POOR RESPONSES AND A FAULTY SYSTEM.
Expected Outcome: To either be contacted TODAY or be REFUNDED as I haven't a full months worth of service.
