I too can vouch for the uselessness of this company. I bought a twin pack of Chanel 'Chance' for my mother and ironically that's exactly what I was taking - a BIG chance. About 4 weeks later two bottles that looked like Chance arrived. They didn't smell like it, and the 'scent' lasts about 20 mins before it's undetectable. Basically a crappy fake. My advice is to avoid these guys as if they were a drunken tramp lurching towards you brandishing a dirty syringe.

Took 4 weeks to arrive and the perfume is shoddy fake... Really, really bad, shocking even! DO NOT BUY - They look like they are reasonable priced, there is a reason for that, they make the perfumes in their back rooms and hope people won't notice... Please stay away!
Do not deal with this company! I have lost £38!
The website appears to be offering a professional service, however the merchandise that they sell is not genuine. I ordered a bottle of D&G perfume, payment was taken immediately and the item took 5 weeks to arrive. Having worn this perfume for 10 years, on opening the package I could immediately tell that the item was a fake. In comparing the product to an original bottle of D&G, the product is laughable and the scent horrible.
Do not trust this site, they are based in Bulgaria, not the Seychelles as advertised. Order at your own peril!
In March I purchased a bottle of perfume. It arrived late and on opening it the perfume was off. Because I had received the goods my bank would not get involved and because the company was registered outside the E. U trading standards would not get involved. The saga still continues. I was told 2 weeks ago I would get a refund but on chasing this up my "money" was credited to someone elses account. I'm still waiting. I've been buying stuff of the interest for years and this has never happened to me before. It's so annoying!
I, like many others searched for items that I wanted and this was one of the first sites to come up. Seemed genuine enough and a professional website so ordered 2 products as christmas presents. They arrived within the 10-14 days limit and I thought great, so put them away ready for xmas.
When in work today I was telling someone how good this website was and the pricing very good too, so i went online to show them. I am glad i did now, as when i began to google it, google predicted my text but brought up 'essence store fake', i was curious so checked it out. Surprised by all the bad reviews... so I got home, got out my purchases and yes they are definately fake... so disappointed!
I have emailed but reading other reviews i doubt if I will get a response and have now had to contact the credit card company to raise a dispute.
I hope this review helps others not to get ripped off like I did... I thought I had christmas all sorted, now I have to go out and re-purchase.
This website is a scam, do not use the Essence store unless you have money to throw away. Its amazing how they are getting away with this even if they are based in Bulgaria there should be something that can be done about it. I ordered Chanel Coco perfume 100ml and was told that it was posted out the very next day but have still not received my parcel, I have sent emails requesting refunds but just get excuses, this has been going on for 6 weeks now. I have told them i don't want the perfume now as from what i have read, it will be fake anyway. I have now contacted my credit card provider and they are going to give me a refund.
Blatantly ripped off, got a bottle of coco chanel, and was fake, emailed, told them it was a fake they were not too happy, sent it back, never received my refund, and all you get back via email are automated emails, something must be done regardless where they are situated, i have have been lucky as others have been billed twice for the item they ordered and not received, shoddy scamming thieves, i rest assured knowing you will get payback at some point in your life, thieves always get caught
Terrible service -i ordered perfume in sept which didn't arrive until the end of october. It wasn't what I ordered - cheap rubbish in a branded looking bottle - I had to chase them with at least 30 emails after I returned the dodgy scent and they finally returned the cash minus expensive postage cost just before xmas. Don't use them - they are terrible.
Same as all the others! Fake site... I have sent a circular email to all friends and posted on facebook... everyone should do the same... this could reach millions of people if forwarded on... warning others!
I ordered the 2 in 1 fashion scarves from this company. The website said they came with snaps to hold them on, when they arrived, there were no snaps. They just hung there looking stupid. You couldn't take it face part off your ears and tuck it in the scarf because there was nothing to hold it on. I sent emails (3) and made a phone call. The first number said, "thank you for contacting my store". The second said no one was available and to leave a message. Really. Though I actually received my merchandise, it was not what they advertised. I would NOT recommend people purchase from this company, unless you have money to burn.
I ordered 1 bottle for $49.88. They shipped me 5 and changed my credit card $200.
The next month I get 5 more bottles. None I ordered and charged my card another $200.
The next month I get 5 more bottles. None I ordered and they charged my card another $200.
My credit card expired and I got a new one. That is when we noticed the charges. I called the company and they claim its past their 30 return policy for products I did not order. Then refused to refund the unauthorized charges for product I did not order.
They are scamming, thieving, scumbags praying on innocent people!
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from Essence Skin Brands unless you want to get ripped off!

How are they getting away with it?
Their own review centre has been closed for months The bad reviews are not being posted Check out the other review centres The great ratings they have posted are done in blocks all on the same days Also if it looks too good to be true it usually is! I was just very lucky Site looked good but something just not did sit right I checked out reviews So thanks to all the people that posted
On the 3rd of July, I paid £57 to this website for a bottle of Dior J'adore perfume. I received a poor copy, which smelled revolting and had a badly fitting lid. When i looked online, I saw that many other people had also been duped by essence-store and had received similar fake goods. I have been buying perfume online for years and up until now have had no problems. This has been a wake up call for me. The website appeared to be very authentic, although the receipt gave an address in the Seychelles. When the money was taken from my account, it went to essence-store in sofia Bulgaria. BUYER BEWARE.

Review of Essence - www.essence-store.com
"Beware COUNTERFEITS!"
I ordered this perfume for my mom. It arrived 3 weeks late and was a ridiculously obvious counterfeit, honestly anybody could have noticed it was a fake. I took photos alongside a genuine bottle and sent them to their customer service explaining how shocked I was and the lady was so rude! She didn't seem to care at all and just said they'll reimburse me, I sent the product back with the post receipt in the box and never got reimbursed. They say I should have sent the post office receipt by email not in the package hence why they are not reimbursing me. I have promised to make their life hell and post testimonials against them everywhere I can and report them to every trade authority, and trust me I will!
The order was taken and confirmation email was sent right away. My card was charged. Nothing after that. The business address is false, email address doesnt work as well as phone number. Please do not buy anything from this site. We purchased 2 bags left several messages and emails over a year ago. Still nothing. *******@yahoo.ca from Ontario Canada
Tip for consumers:
Do not use this site. Vender is a Scam. Take your money and they wipe out any chances of getting the product you ordered. Very disappointed. Will not order anything on line again. Unless it’s in Canada and repridadle company

Never received the two bags for my wife and myself. Charged over 60 dollars us funds on card and received nothing amost a year now. Not getting threw to this company scam scam scam
And here I am another naive who didn't use to read reviews before purchasing on internet but lesson's learnt.
After about 4 weeks fight with company I contacted Trading Standards but have the impression that there is nothing they can do except give me advice. And I would really like to that company to be chased and closed.
Anyway interesting was that lady who was helping me (TS) could not have found the essence store on her web search-very interesting?
Has anybody out there has got their postal address as That was TS advice to contact them via post?
Please if you reading it and been scammed, and haven't contact Trading Standards yet, please do. If you struggle with finding alternative number for 0845... look at web: saynoto0870
Regards.
P.S. And of course AVOID AVOID AVOID!
I am still waiting for my parcel - when I called up/emailed several times to find out what was the situation I was told to wait and when I said I wasn't happy and would put a bad review on they said no ones cares! Put what you like!
Completely agree, totally fake from Bulgaria, even tough the emails are coming out of the Sychelles. I got done over £100. Have spoken to someone from essence but gave me complete rubbish about different countries produce different products, ie Chanel is made in NY, London, Paris and quality may vary.BO££)CKS if you ask me.
Did order a perfume from this website on27/05/2011, £38.00, did not get anything, have writen several emails, and nothing at all, so BE AWARE, it is a scam, all looks good but it's a scam!
Please help spread this, so less people will be caught on this terrible fraud.
Many thanks.
Rogerio B.
Ordered from this website at Xmas my first 'fast track' ordered appeared not to go through, no order confirmation etc, signed up and ordered finally received order confirmation. Waited for over three weeks nothing received, chased the company (whose customer service number does NOT work) and they kept saying hang on for a few more days. In the mean time I realise I'd be charged twice by my credit card company. When I raised this to Essence they kept saying they'd refund me, they never did. Long story short never received the perfume and they kept stalling for a refund, in the end I had to go through my credit card company to get my money back, which I finally did. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!
BROUGHT SOME FLOWER BOMB BY V&R NORMALLY £80 IN THE HIGH STREET PAID £51.99 WITH ESSENCE STORE BIG MISTAKE SHOULD OF LISTENED TO THE OTHER REVIEWS, VERY POOR FAKE TOOK 2.5 WEEKS TO ARRIVE. GOING TO TRADING STARDARDS
I ordered a bottle of Chloe for my daughter's birthday, after a few days and nothing arrived, I queried with both the payment company and Essence.
Essence replied stating that according to their records, my order would be with me by the end of the week. Two minutes later a further e-mail stated that according to their records my order would be with me by next week. The payment company actually rang me and stated that they would contact the store. The same afternoon, I received an e-mail from Essence stating my order had been cancelled, when queried, they stated that they were having issues with their bank partner. I again queried the fact that they had already said my order would be with me by the end of the week / next week. They then said that the issues had been resolved and my order would now be despatched, however three days later I received an e-mail stating that my order had been cancelled and again stated that they had issues with their bank partner. I immediately forwarded the e-mail to the payment company stating that I would look forward to receiving a refund. I did get a refund but also a lot of stress.
I have since seen reviews for the site and only wish I had seen them before placing my order, I now realise that I am perhaps one of the lucky ones in that I did get a refund but this was definitely a lesson learned and I would strongly recommend would be purchasers to check out any available reviews FIRST.
I ordered parfume for my girlfriend a month before Valentine's day. After three weeks I contacted them, wondering where is my item. Their response was:
"You have chosen Standart delivery, which is the cheapest and hides some risks. Please, check into the local post office of Royal mail, using your names"
Are you serious?! I picked the standard shipping method because I didn't need to rush the order, not because it is the cheapest!
And what risks are you talking about?!
The risk that could have been not sent at all?
I asked them if they have any tracking number or delivery confirmation, the response was the same: you choose the cheapest shipping method...
So what is it? I pay money, pick the standard shipping method(probably like most people do), they keep the money, don't send the order and blame on shipping risks?!?! That is great business! I should start one like that too:)
I wish you luck if you are going to order something from them. Be careful
P.S.
I left the same review on their site, hoping they will publish it...
They only publish good reviews on their site. The worst one is 3 stars
WARNING! Essence Store is a BULGARIAN SCAM PIRATE perfume website!
DO NOT USE!
The website looks good you order they take your money. Nothing arrives. They bull$#*! you for months they give you fake 'tracking numbers' - you complain they offer you a voucher for another non-existent perfume. You NEVER get your money back unless you complain to your bank.
Looking around on the web it seems these are the same bunch of crooks that run Scentmall under various names (. Org,. Net. co.uk, scentmallcatalog.com etc) also out of Bulgaria. Look at the Scentmall reviews on Site Jabber. This is a very big fraud.
*
Why doesn't Interpol shut them down?
From some of the reviews, a few people get sent some perfume but it is fake maybe even dangerous. DO NOT USE!
*
If you are scammed by these pirates
A) Contact your bank or credit card company as soon as possible, open a dispute and hopefully you will get your money back in a few weeks.
B) Get your bank or credit card company to send you a new card and stop all payments on the old card
C) Contact your local BBB, police and fraud authorities check out some of the Site Jabber advice it's good. Thanks guys!
D) Help warn people by posting negative reviews on Site Jabber and any other review sites.
E) Don't use your real name / order number / location when posting they are not good people.

Website looks impressive as does the prices of perfumes and afershave but please don't be fooled. The products they sell are fake and from Bulgaria. After reading previous reviews just now people are suspecting it is the Bulgarian Mafia. Not nice people without any morals. Just spready the word... DO NOT BUY.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
They claim to have a business address in London and a London number which looks fine - only when you eventually get in contact with someone, they contradict each other one saying they are sitting in the London office and another 40 minutes later saying he's sitting in the Seychelles office. Lies all lies.
Your bank can not do anything as it isn't a fraudulent purchase and as such any dispute will be classed as a Merchant dispute. But don't expect to get your money back easily.
Their website Terms and Conditions states you can not receive a refund if you have opened your item - well, how on earth can you ascertain if it's real or fake? That's how they have you. But if you speak to them, they confirm you are allowed to open it and if you do and are not happy you can return for a full refund. Do not fall for this trap - it is a ploy to get you to open it. Your bank will not stick up for you if you do open it as you will have gone against their Terms and Conditions. You are screwed if you do and screwed if you don't. This company is based and registered overseas so you are not protected under UK law. Don't bother quotating Consumer Regulations 2000 at them it doesn't wash. You can't get the police involved either as it's out their 'jurisdiction' and interpol are doing nothing. You can't sue them and who would for a bottle of perfume?
Shame on them. I hope they rot in jail every single one of them that is connected to this SCAM.
