📢 Attention, Etsy Community and Support Team! My Etsy shop, NecklaceAura, was permanently banned right at the beginning of my journey with no explanation provided. To make matters worse, I was scammed as a seller on my very first day on the Etsy platform (Issue ID: #16571142). As a passionate and dedicated creator, I am deeply disappointed and seeking clarity on this decision. I kindly ask Etsy to review my case, unblock my store, and provide a transparent explanation. It is unfair to penalize a small business without a clear reason. My small business dream depends on it! #EtsyHelp #SupportSmallBusiness #NecklaceAura #EtsyCommunity
I tried setting one up, and it was instantly and permanently shut down by Etsy without so much as a hint of explanation. There weren't even any listings on the store—literally, all I did was create a profile picture. I appealed the closure, and guess what? Denied. No reason, no transparency, nothing. Now I can't sell or buy anything on my account, and if I try to set up a new one, that'll be blocked too. And to top it all off? Their denial of the appeal is permanent—no second chances, no reconsideration. Ridiculous.
I have found some seriously rare gems on Etsy for a very fair price. All the sellers have shipped on time and have been very friendly. My only complaint is that it is kind of hard to get your foot in the door as a seller and have your items be seen.
Bought a Handcrafted anti-bee design, very colorful, feeder from Yankee Glass Art.
I requested a return for a custom made unit and had full cooperation. Highly recommend their product and service. Bob K.
Etsy has struggled with quality control for years. I ordered two prints of Josephine Baker last year and they arrived a different size than what was listed on the item description and one of them was askew and had an uneven border frame. The seller patronized me and told me, "this is art," but I can't frame crooked prints. After much hassling I was able to return the crooked prints for a refund. I reluctantly returned to Etsy for my wedding sand ceremony kit and again there is no quality control across sellers. The hourglass I ordered arrived with visible sand remnants from when the glass was blown and the packing material is clearly visible at the bottom of the hourglass. I have contacted the seller and once I am refunded will be deactivating my Etsy account entirely. I wouldn't order anything from this website, unless you are looking for a headache. Consumer beware!
I love this place, you can buy original hand craft goods of any kind. If someone has made it, it does exist out there on the internet! Etsy has a way to sign up and talk to the people who create a ton of artistic items such as paintings, jewelery and even clothing. If something is out of stock you have a way to get in contact with the creator/maker and see if they can make one specially for you. I've had a lot of amazing original pieces and jewelry from this site. I highly recommend it!
I gave a 3 rating because I am not sure based on the reviews. I was looking for places that might be enjoyable to sell my handmade crafts or art, whatever they may be. After spending a year earning to buy my supplies and several months of learning more about my craft, getting supplies and spending several months creating, I must say I am beginning to think "why bother". After reading reviews on Artfire and Etsy and doing all that research as well, it seems to be a waste of my time. There are nothing but bickering reviews and disgruntled buyers and sellers, that may actually be the competition just slamming each other. At any rate, it is nothing but headache. It isn't very inspiring and seems like it is more trouble than it is worth as well as cutthroat people with which I may not want to associate or deal with. Discouraged before I even got started is my review.
This website has waaaaaaaaaaay too many sellers on it and not enough buyers. Most of the sales come from other sellers. It's a complete waste of time. I have been selling on there for the last five year and though I have seen some profits and made numerous improvements to my shop over the years, still not enough to make it worth my time. I sell vintage and wish I had never started. I get low ball best offers from buyers. Everyone on it is trying to get something for nothing. You can't buy on it either because they will send you something awful even though it looked great in the photo. I say stay enough.
My experience with Etsy was a complete disaster. While I was travelling for two months, they deactivated all my items without letting me know about it. No emails, no internal etsy messages, nothing. When I got back I realized that my shop was empty. I contacted them but apart from a default template messages from four different people I didn't get any answers to my questions. I will be making a complaint to recover the £16 I paid them for nothing. I've lost many hours to build my shop and I regret loosing all that time. If I checked the reviews I'd never use etsy. It was the worst experience I've ever had with a customer services that don't care.

I just opened an account and they took it down for selling a inert paper weight grenade. I saw a lot of people sell the same thing and it's fine with Etsy. I have the account open for a day. So I closed the account and sold the same item on eBay with no bs like Etsy.
I love etsy as you can buy things that are handmade and you can't find elsewhere. I have 2 shops on etsy and I am very happy with the website. I have also ordered a few times from other sellers and always have been very happy. Etsy's customer service used to be quite slow but now they are quite fast and helpful.
There are things that need improvement though but they are working on it.
Etsy makes sellers promote their stuff by staking high bids. Wasting my money every month to "get views". Once I get a sale after 15 days it pays off the money I spent to get the views. So many sellers on etsy, such few buyers, Etsy is a scam.
I have been happy with my transactions on Etsy. I bought a lovely glass lampwork pendant and a beautiful opal from Australia. I don't know if I was lucky but after reading all the negative reviews, I am very hesitant to buy anything else on truthfully.
This is absolutely ridiculous now!
I place a order - boxes weren't in tact, every book damaged.
They send out replacements and the same thing happens.
This issue has been ongoing for months! And they are aware of it. It should have been resolved immediately!
The company is loosing money, I'm loosing money - nobody is winning here by using auto packers.
The worst is that I now have hundreds of what should have been beautiful books, but they are all ruined…absolutely ruined!
This was my first time using this site because my daughter wanted something for her birthday. One of the items where not available of course they quickly took my money but the refund has yet to come to my bank. I will never order from this site again! Thieves!
Etsy sides only on buyer rather than seller. Poor customer service takes weeks to get issue resolved where Etsy laziness brings bad name to the company. My customer reviewed my company based on carrier delay and carrier damages rather than my product, Etsy has no right policies to support seller. Overall bad experience for seller.
Tip for consumers:
Don't expect any support from Etsy, you just have to give commission as seller, no other support you can expect.

I have ordered two things for my weeding from Etsy. Which I will be canceling right after this post! First you can not speak to anyone. Second when you do write them they do not respond. Thirdly they don't uphold there end of the deal they sent half $#*! product not finished and my money is wasted. To boot it's a fight to get money returned you have to cancel through your credit card and fight it because Etsy does not refund. Thanks a million. For all to read do not waste your time on this Etsy site. They are scammers and it's not right. I just hand twins and am getting married and I ordered two things that I really wanted to make OUR day special and they killed it! I will go to a store from now on and have my stuff made. I will never ever order from this company again it should be shut down!
The item that I ordered weighs about an ounce and will fit in the palm of your hand. I ordered it 10 days ago and the item is still sitting in another state. I am hoping that my item arrives safely because their delivery service is awful. It's my experience that if you order from Etsy you better be extremely patient...!
The cashout speed is awesome! I love the variety of ways I can utilize the app's system! I recommend this app to everyone i come across. Most of the time, they're reluctant to try it out... until i show them my earnings!

I ordered from a seller who completely misrepresented what I thought I was getting. She used a stock photo for several lots. When I discovered this, I requested a refund. Seller lied and claimed the lots had already been shipped, yet no tracking number was given until 2 weeks later. I filed a complaint through Etsy who refused to do anything. I left very negative reviews, reported Etsy to the BBB and deleted my account. Never again!
Ordered an item for Etsy it never arrived so contacted the seller who said it couldn't be delivered because of a false address which isn't true. I have order items from my Etsy account using the same address and the items have always arrived. The seller then sent the tracking number and turns out the item had one failed delivery and then shipped back to the sender who refused to give me a refund claiming it was my fault for giving a wrong address. So the seller now has my item and money and i have nothing. Etsy did not listen or help just closed the case straight away basically saying tough by using and automated response.
I don't normally write reviews, but save your money. The sellers are shady. They process your order, take your money and cancel the order at the last minute and never get back to you with regards to any refunds. I purchased a lot of stuff and was always satisfied until my last order. I'm due a refund and no one is getting back to me!
They are horrible I ordered 2 thing and one came without a return shipping label and it been a month and I'm still waiting one my other order they have no customer service number where you can call anyone they a rip off
I was robbed of $340.00 when the items I ordered never arrived. The seller has ignored repeated e-mails and has posted a message on etsy about a partners illness, promising to fill the orders. I have been waiting more than two months. Etsy has no response.
Terrible customer service. No help for missing items!
Etsy says as long as the seller puts it was shipped - too bad if it goes missing.
I bought something over 6 weeks ago and shipping says it never left USA. I live in Australia.
Etsy help team said too bad, seller says shipped so we wont help you. So im out a birthday present and money!
I ordered a bracelet from Ellen and it arrived within 2 days. Not only am I pleased with the expedient delivery but the item itself is very tastefully designed and well made. I am very happy to wear this bracelet and will look to Ellen for future items. Thank You Ellen!
Angie
PS Also she sent a thank you card which is the mark of a professional.
ABSOLUTELY love love love this website. The obvious reason for me loving it must be my art teacher side but who doesnt like homemade things. I usually shop through the jewelry but its great to support an artist whos selling their own stuff. It can be original or just super cute and you gotta have it! Some of the stuff can be pricey (because it is homemade) but thats when you just admire it from the computer and walk away.
