📢 Attention, Etsy Community and Support Team! My Etsy shop, NecklaceAura, was permanently banned right at the beginning of my journey with no explanation provided. To make matters worse, I was scammed as a seller on my very first day on the Etsy platform (Issue ID: #16571142). As a passionate and dedicated creator, I am deeply disappointed and seeking clarity on this decision. I kindly ask Etsy to review my case, unblock my store, and provide a transparent explanation. It is unfair to penalize a small business without a clear reason. My small business dream depends on it! #EtsyHelp #SupportSmallBusiness #NecklaceAura #EtsyCommunity
I tried setting one up, and it was instantly and permanently shut down by Etsy without so much as a hint of explanation. There weren't even any listings on the store—literally, all I did was create a profile picture. I appealed the closure, and guess what? Denied. No reason, no transparency, nothing. Now I can't sell or buy anything on my account, and if I try to set up a new one, that'll be blocked too. And to top it all off? Their denial of the appeal is permanent—no second chances, no reconsideration. Ridiculous.
My wife has a store on there that they shutdown. So because it was same ip address they shut mine down too. They shut my store down with out any warning or notice it was shutdown,. Then refused to give me my money from my sales. I shipped the items and customers received the items with out any companient. So basically they stole 376 dollars on me. If you trying to start a business this is not the place.
Received a second bird from this artist... birds are delicate and very lifelike. I bought a pure white one and a blue jay. They are sitting on a lampshade and at Christmas, the white one sits on my tree (I bought the white one at a sale before this artist opened on Etsy). Love them! You can be sure that this seller will deliver as promised.
Etsy is awesome. I often find prettier & more unique items on etsy than on regular retailers. I guess the only thing is the experience sort of depends on who on etsy you buy from, but so far it's been good! :)
Never received item from the seller, who replied that she'd look into it then did nothing. Was not only told by Etsy that I couldn't open a case when I contacted them, but the Open a Case button is missing from my purchase page, even though the 54th day from purchase and supposedly 60 days from the item's processing date allowed (btw, I don't recall ever seeing an Open a Case button for this item). Etsy also informed me that their sellers are not obligated to replace or refund non-received items (wow)! Your remedy? Contact your Credit Card company and dispute the charge within 60, even 90 days (check the claims limitation of your own credit card company to be sure).
Ordered mask over a month ago and never received the order. Did get a long emal saying they could not guarantee any delivery date and reordering would be of no use. Requested a refund but have gotten no response to tbat request.
I have my own store on this website and thus far it has been a fun way to sell my works and connect with talented people. I have ordered from a couple of different shops and was happy with my items. If you are looking to buy unique, interesting items, Etsy is the way to go. However, buyers need to remember to read the reviews on shops, read their policies, and always message the seller about anything they aren't sure about. If you buy from a bad seller it's not Etsy's fault. They can settle disputes but most of the communication is between the buyer and seller. Shop smart!
I ordered two initial prints as wedding gifts from Knot&Nest. Before placing the order, Becca took the time to show me what the prints would look like using two different date formats. I ordered them on the 20th of June and they arrived on the 24th. The burlap was of very nice quality with some stiffness for easy framing. I framed them myself purchasing frames that were matted with an 8 x 10 opening. Love this product and will be purchasing again. Thank you Knot&Nest!
I found them on line looking for rustic and farm decor. I bought two lamps in the shape of milk cans and requested three way switches and that they did. Delivery was fast and the product just great and just right for what I was looking for. Then ordered shutter doors for the wall and they came with handles just like barn shutters, and wooden and ready to hang love them. Great items and a special thanks for the items an shout out to let you know very satisfied. LOVE YOUR ITEMS Will be buying more in the near future.
I have made a number of purchases on Etsy that I am VERY happy with. However, I've noticed in the past year that about half of the children's clothes on the site, which state they are handmade and are priced as such, are mass-manufactured stuff from China. You can find it on other sites (Chinese) that sell it for 50-75% less.
I bought an order for 35 pounds and it never arrived at the address the seller shipped it to but Etsy refused to refund me because the seller had shipped the item. What kind of service gives the buyer absolutely no safety when their item does not arrive? Now I am 35 pounds out of pocket and etsy is stealing my money. I will never, ever buy from Etsy again. The shop name is miniaturecorner.
I know a few people selling on Etsy and one is my sister. I also created an account to watch and decide if I might open a shop there, but after what I've seen last night to my sister, I'm sure I should check some other websites to runa business. Etsy... not a bad site, BUT some TEAMS there where people sincerely try to promote their items and other shop owners on threads, just there to promote their websites and try to link people there and sell them 'tutorials', 'success pack', etc. and their team leaders have such a rude attitude to members thinking they own them. I'm sure if Etsy will not solve this problem soon, it will lose many people, both customers and sellers...
I had recently sent 3 seperate sellers emails about their products. I received NO responses in 10 days! I even purchased cardstock and it was 7 days ago and have not received any communication from the seller. I am unfortunately not happy with my experience. I am planning my wedding and I am willing to give people my business, it just doesn't seem like they want it.
Purchased a vintage 3 chain glass shade, over a week later updated shade has shipped. Shade arrives in a box barely big enough for glass shade, it is wrapped in a few layers of bubble wrap, packed in peanuts the shade is shattered.
Will never do business with again
I ordered acrylic paints never received it after waiting 15 days contacted the seller he responded that they will investigate. That was the last I heard from them I send more messages and never got any responses that was the end of it no refund no product no explanations.
Esty closed my store back in August 2021, today is March 5,2022. I still have not received any of my money which is $719.89. They are not responding to my emails. They did start to say on my
Finance page that the money was being deposits. Than day after day they kept postponing it. I put a complaint in with the Federal Trade Commission and now my account is locked down. I have no way of getting ahold of anyone. My next course of action is a lawyer. If anyone else has had this problem contact me at *******@aol.com. I will start a class action lawsuit against them.
Tip for consumers:
STAY AWAY USE MERCARI IS SO MUCH BETTER. THEY KEEP YOUR MONEY AND WILL NOT GIVE IT BACK TO YOU. THAN THEY WILL CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT SO YOU CAN NOT GET AHOLD OF ANYONE.

SOLD ON ETSY, BIG BIG MISTAKE. THEY TOOK $719.89 OF MY MONEY WILL NOT RELEASE IT EVEN AFTER 7 MONTHS.
Selling on this site has become a joke. I have over ******* sales and sales just keep dropping, my amazon and eBay sites have doubled in the past year. Now I work for Etsys high fees and disregard for high level sellers. There motto is keep sighing up new sellers and set the hook. I am going to close my site and put my money and time where I can make a profit.
I've been scammed by a fraudulent shop, I've been auto charged for a shipping issue that wasn't justified and hasn't been resolved, but, I've also bought tons of unique items and supported small businesses. I sell on etsy as well, and the one issue I've had they refunded the seller out of their own pocket. The off site ad charges are absolute garbage, but they've since made it so smaller sellers can opt out. It's a mixed bag, in my experience they've usually been accommodating. Sell and buy but be wary.
Wouldnt use this site ever again, ordered an item through them it was sent within a week, that bit was ok, need to return as it didnt fit thats where the problems begin. You are asked to contact the seller about returns policy before they can help you. Tried this sent four e mails to seller and not one response from them, there is no address to write, no invoice in with the goods, no telephone number to contact them.So if the seller wont respond and Etsy wont help until you've contacted the seller your basically left with goods that are of no use and £30 out of pocket. Am now going to seek further action.
Tip for consumers:
Dont use.and if you do remember that the shipping charges are half as much as the goods you buy, well in my case they were.
As a buyer I have had mostly positive experiences. Each seller is different and you have to read thier rules carefully. As seller I found the fees difficult to understand. Being able to reach so many people and thier products and have so many people see mine is a great experience. I was happy with the traffic to my Etsy store.
They deleted items off my shop and sent a snooty email that "you cant cleverly re package items to sell. You can only sell items you made, vintage items, or craft supplies"
Problem: Both items were kits I put together for processing wood and making a camp fire making them craft supplies.
One of the kits had diy tools that I made.
Now they're hipsters from Brooklyn so I don't expect them to know what camp gear is but atleast sit your jegging clad butt down at the computer and study what you're deleting before you alienate the community that is your business.
I accidentally found this website while browsing the Internet. I wish I would have found this review page before ordering from it. The site is quick to collect payment, but impossible to guarantee product. I ordered two pieces from the site. The vendor had one excuse after the next. First excuse. She copied my address incorrectly. Second excuse family emergency. I am awaiting the third excuse, so stay tuned. I am not sure if the vendor understand shipping a package takes little time and effort. I am trying to maintain a positive correspondence with the vendor, because she now has my money. I will be filing a formal complaint with the BBB once I receive the merchandise. I will never order from the site again nor would I recommend anyone else to. I truly believe it's a scam. I just hate I fail for the scam.
Warning: stay away from this seller on Etsy " CadeauxNicNac" I learned the hard way her reviews are fake. An don't bother asking Etsy for support or help don't even bother opening a case for non shipment this seller plays the victim an will lie about shipping dates transaction an she failed to provide proof of receipt of shipment's,. Etsy sadly still supported her because she cry's an plays the victim leaving the customer without a product an without a refund. Warning to all! I had to learn the hard way.
Tip for consumers:
Just don't buy from Etsy. Most important don't bother opening a case they won't help an always take seller's story. Your better off not wasting money on Etsy.

None , I never got my order , Etsy does not even deserve 1 star for anything. 0 is what Etsy Warning stay away from this seller on Etsy CadeauxNicNac. She a fake a fraud an a liar.
Googled glass clocks on Etsy and found the product I wanted. The artist / maker is well worth a look Craig is passionate about his work and it is truly beautiful. My clock arrived quickly and beautifully packed -- and not far from where I live. This site is well worth a look
If I could give a zero I would. Etsy froze my store. No explaination... I can't get a hold of them... they won't email me back and won't phone when asked. So I will never recommend them like I have in the past. I'm going to Art Fire and Bonanza and of course Ebay. Etsy can jump off a cliff... so sad it has lost it's soul... crafters don't need Etsy as much any more. They'll figure it out when it's too late.
While Etsy has a bit less traffic than Ebay and Amazon it is a better place to sell. The fees are much lower and you are in charge of your business. On Etsy the sellers promote and support each other.
There are many categories of sellers but most of them are great people and sell great items. You can find the odd items that you can't find in other places. Great handmade items, lots of vintage collectible items and some wonderful artwork.
Etsy is a marketplace for buying and selling crafts, handmade and vintage goods, as well as art and craft supplies. Etsy is a private company based in Brooklyn, New York and has raised more than $90 million as of May 2013.
