📢 Attention, Etsy Community and Support Team! My Etsy shop, NecklaceAura, was permanently banned right at the beginning of my journey with no explanation provided. To make matters worse, I was scammed as a seller on my very first day on the Etsy platform (Issue ID: #16571142). As a passionate and dedicated creator, I am deeply disappointed and seeking clarity on this decision. I kindly ask Etsy to review my case, unblock my store, and provide a transparent explanation. It is unfair to penalize a small business without a clear reason. My small business dream depends on it! #EtsyHelp #SupportSmallBusiness #NecklaceAura #EtsyCommunity
I tried setting one up, and it was instantly and permanently shut down by Etsy without so much as a hint of explanation. There weren't even any listings on the store—literally, all I did was create a profile picture. I appealed the closure, and guess what? Denied. No reason, no transparency, nothing. Now I can't sell or buy anything on my account, and if I try to set up a new one, that'll be blocked too. And to top it all off? Their denial of the appeal is permanent—no second chances, no reconsideration. Ridiculous.
I'm puzzled by the rave reviews of this site. Are they posted by sellers in disguise... or friends of sellers? I have made 4 or 5 purchases on this site. I had problems with delivery on two of those. One I was able to work out by filing a claim with Paypal. I filed a "non-delivery" report with Etsy on the other. A pretty useless waste of time. All that's happened is a automatically generated email to the seller. Etsy's customer support is non-existant. I've never recieved any help from them. They responded to an email once. It took almost two weeks to get and didn't say much of anything. It most definately had a "brush off" tone to it. I doubt this will ever be resolved. Where is the support in customer support? Why are sellers allowed to make a sale & never send it? No recourse, no repercussions. Sad. I will not be using Etsy again and I would not recommend them to anyone.
Etsy does not monitor/police fraudulent interactions on its website very well. I have ordered from three vendors; had trouble with two. Had major trouble with Jennifer Hardin of Coveylee Creations who cashed my check for $125 in January and I have NOT received the merchandise yet despite promises it was being sent. I would not recommend this website.
I've seen a lot of changes in my 7 yrs shopping on Etsy. Honestly, in the last three yrs, I've seen the site go waaaaay down-hill; a whole lot of cheap crap has popped-up, machine made crap! Even more than that, the web-site itself is a knightmare to navigate! Whomever set it up; designed it, needs to find a new purpose in life, 'cause website design isn't it. My last order was truly, my last. I've been patient and hopeful for 3 yrs now, I'm done...peace...out.

I love etsy because of the variety of women's clothing that is offered. I also like the fact that you can find unique items that are hard to find elsewhere. It is wonderful how many different items you can find on this site.
I purchased a Wordpress theme from 17thavenuedesigns and when I downloaded it it was the wrong theme. I contacted her thinking it would be an easy fix but she told me I was out of luck and in order to get the theme I wanted I would have to pay again! I emailed her back and it's been a week now with no response. Beware of 17thavenuedesigns on etsy! Scammer!
Although there are excellent sellers on etsy, there are a lot of scammers! I got scammed three times this year! Twice by who I believe was the same person. I had ordered a custom tape wallet from someone and I never received. Their shop was closed and a few weeks later saw the same listings on another shop! Yea im looking at you BESTYinc!
Candlebrate is a great little candle shop with these cute little candles for birthday cakes. They have leggo, pac-man, spiderman, star wars, etc. And the prices are crazy low! They also have candles in jars/tins, but if you have a theme birthday party coming up, you should check them out.
I ordered for a kitenge dress and paid for it. After five weeks and several reminders someone send a message apologizing for the delay, allegedly they were in hospital. She Asked me to send my measurements which I did. Three months down the line my money gone and esty maintains very loud silence.
Etsy has been sending me promotional emails for months after I have unsubscribed from their email multiple times. When I click the "unsubscribe" button at the bottom of their emails, they take me to a page where I am supposed to uncheck a bunch of email categories. The problem is, I've unchecked these boxes months ago. I receive another email, unrelated to orders I have placed, click the unsubscribe button, and am directed to the same page where all the boxes are already empty! There's nothing more to do to unsubscribe yet I continue to receive promotional emails. Not only that, but I don't mind receiving spam emails to my spam account so I switched my Etsy email to that one. I continue to receive emails to the previous email and now also receive them to my spam. When I tried to access the customer service, it took me to an error page. And continues to take me there. I could not care less about Etsy's emails. Don't sign up with Etsy. I would give zero stars if I could.
Frustrated.
I purchased a pair of earrings on Etsy. The ad said large, in most peoples mind large is large. However shop owner PrettyVintageJewelry thinks that large is small to medium. After receiving the earring and contacting her for return. She informed me she does not take back any purchases under any circumstances. BEWARE OF THIS SELLER! Etsy customer service was ineffective and sided with the seller. You be the judge, my Gold earrings in the photo and her "small" silver earings on the left... DON'T take a chance on this seller, you will regret it!
I ordered a plate frame on a Sunday and asked for a rushed delivery. On Monday I was sent email confirmation my order was shipped and I received it on Thursday today. Much thanks to Etsy and their excellent service and delivery.
I was in the process of asking questions about a chair I was buying from Chateau Chicago. First I asked about layaway. Then I asked them to hold it for 100$ for only a week. They didn't want to, so I scraped and worked it out and got the money together within 3 days. I then asked if there were any stains or anything I should know about. They cut off communication and jacked the price up. I didn't do anything outside the norm. I ask questions about everything I buy, especially furniture. I buy everything from etsy! It hurt to be treated like that because of 4 questions. If you don't have the patience to answer questions then don't sell on etsy.
They claim they have delivered the product even they haven't and noone is taking responsibility. They are not even interested in finding out where the ordered product has been lost and they just toik the money and thats it! They simple have stolen my money!

Bought a LED Light from Leigh, owner of LEDlightstore. Item wasn't delivered as promised, and this company has no verifiable street address. When I e-mailed my concern over this, she got very nasty. As one who provides customer service, I apologized, but never received a response. Finally got the light, and it is small, cheap wiring, and a disappointment. First time I went off buying from Amazon and E-bay and tried Etsy never again. Do NOT buy from this seller, or quite frankly, this site. Absolutely NO customer support.
I've been working with Etsy for awhile now and not doing too bad. Last month I needed to send a box to London. (I'm in the US)I needed to add $$ to my account to purchase the shipping labels ($154.00) After 3 attemps (2 were mistakes) I finally did it correct on the 3rd try. I then cancelled the 2 mistaken shipping labels, knowing that I would eventually receive my money back.
Well USPS returned my moneys to Etsy, But Etsy will not return it to me.
They are KEEPING my $154.00 and said it will be put on my credit.
I don't know what else so do.
I have bought just beautiful items from a store on Etsy and wanted to share with you, have a look, the items arrived as promised and were extremely well presented, simply love these pieces

I joined etsy as a seller last year, i designed and created my own jewelry, it went well for a few months until i realized etsy is a cutthroat site where you compete with other sellers.
I started getting notices from etsy support regarding my items, it seems other sellers were afraid of the competition and started accusing me of stealing text and designs, and that was never true. You need to realize that when you sell on etsy you are competing with others who at times can be very cruel. And it seems etsy takes the side of the veteran sellers, leaving us newbies out! And to contact customer support is a nightmare. Takes for ever for them to reply, if they ever reply. My advice is that if you ever plan to sell your crafts online! Stay away from etsy, i now sell on artfire and its great...
Tip for consumers:
STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON SELLING YOUR VINTAGE OR HANDMADE ITEMS.. PLENTY OTHER SITES OUT THERE THAT ARE 100% BETTER i.e. Bonanza.com artfire.com amazon ect
Bridesmaid dresses ordered on Affairyland were delivered to an incorrect address. They were shipped from China, so it took a long time to figure out that they were delivered to an incorrect address. Affairyland refused to generate a claim with UPS for reimbursement, and they refuse to reimburse me. Since it took so long for this to come to fruition, it is now too late to "Report a Problem" on the website. I now have to pay for another set of bridesmaid dresses. Very disappointed.
If you buy from them do not expect any kind of gift box packaging. They will tell you "did it state gift box'. Who sells earrings and puts them in a piece of bubble wrap. Never did I buy even a cheap pair of earrings and not come in some kind of packaging like a small box other than a piece of bubble wrap. Cheap Cheap Cheap!

Beware
I bought 2 Keepsake Urns from Mayra Stoneware Design. They are outstanding. The workmanship is absolutely fantasic and the service I received from Mayra was excellent. I would recommend her work to anyone looking for such items.

I happened to found my package that was lost or stolen. But if something like that happens again, I want esty costomer care to give me some $#*!ing respect! Because I don't play with anybody. I will kill someone!
Etsy still will not to refund my money for my lost package. Very horrible and ignorant people. This is why I will never shop at esty again! I closed my esty account a few hours ago. And i'm glad I did!
A while ago I had purchased a LEGO figure from a seemingly popular LEGO seller on Etsy. The seller is located somewhere in Europe. I never saw my package. There was an issue with the package itself, and it was never delivered. When I tried getting my money back from the seller, the seller basically told me I was out of luck and not getting my money back. Even though I never even SAW my order. I never physically got to see it because of post office issues. When I brought this up with Etsy, they backed the seller. SO the package went back to the seller, the seller got to keep my money... I still don't know what I did wrong. I feel completely cheated. I use Etsy sparingly now. There is maybe one seller I stick to ordering from, and it's not often. The products I get from this seller are the best, so I want to stay in touch. Other than that, I wouldn't buy much on Etsy. I would trust other websites like eBay or Amazon over Etsy a hundred times over.
I purchased a watch from DOWOODwatch for my partner for Christmas. It arrived damaged, and was cheaply made. I contacted the seller and was told to ship it back and that I would get a full refund. I have done this, and am now out of pocket for the watch, additional shipping and the seller is not responding. I tried to report the seller, who seems to no longer be on the website. I can't even get Etsy on the phone. Anyone who is thinking about buying from them should have a look at the laundry list of complaints about them on the Better Business Bureau website. If you plan to buy from them, just be aware that you may be on your own if the product isn't what you think it is.
I was selling my product on there website and was buying PPC advertising with them.
There are several other seller with my product on the site selling RFID blocking sleeves like I was.
Once I stopped paying for PPC they removed my items from there marketplace. Told my they were not handmade items?
I am pretty sure the other sellers of the same product I was selling ws making them by hand also? I actually have a USA company that manufactures mine. The others appear to be China made sleeves. LOL
