📢 Attention, Etsy Community and Support Team! My Etsy shop, NecklaceAura, was permanently banned right at the beginning of my journey with no explanation provided. To make matters worse, I was scammed as a seller on my very first day on the Etsy platform (Issue ID: #16571142). As a passionate and dedicated creator, I am deeply disappointed and seeking clarity on this decision. I kindly ask Etsy to review my case, unblock my store, and provide a transparent explanation. “If you're thinking about opening a shop on Etsy, don't even bother!”

I tried setting one up, and it was instantly and permanently shut down by Etsy without so much as a hint of explanation. There weren't even any listings on the store—literally, all I did was create a profile picture. I appealed the closure, and guess what? Denied. No reason, no transparency, nothing. Now I can't sell or buy anything on my account, and if I try to set up a new one, that'll be blocked too. And to top it all off? Their denial of the appeal is permanent—no second chances, no reconsideration. Ridiculous.

Etsy encourages scammers apparently but not protecting buyers and refusing to shut down obviously fake shops. How many people get ripped off before Etsy does something: apparently it's internal information they can't disclose. Safe to say, shop elsewhere, unless you enjoy being scammed.

Don’t shop here unless you like throwing your money down the drain

** HORRIBLE** experience as a seller. They have had my shop on hold for 8 weeks so far and counting and said it was due to verification. Mind you, the info they had was correct. Then when I reached out multiple times, they say "it's a IT glitch." This website is unreliable for sellers. We depend on this platform for income. So for them to put a hold on an account for so long, unreliable. Be careful

I made a purchase from an Etsy vendor, paid via paypal, but within four hours, Etsy sent me an email that stated the vendor was no longer in buisness. They issued a refund, but I have yet to see it. Etsy help line is a joke. Their solution for resolution regarding the refund from a vendor who willingly took my money, but closed the shop down immediately after. I shop on Etsy because of their fraud protection plan, but it too seems to be an figment of my imagination. It doesn't make sense why Etsy would help me by telling me to contact a business that stole my money, closed down the business, and their is no further information to contact them available? So I opened a claim with etsy regarding my refund. A claim was opened and supposedly refunded, but I have yet to see it. I am very unlikely to shop etsy again. And that is a shame.

I really enjoy shopping on Etsy. I shop mostly for digital crochet patterns, and both the search and the purchase experience are great. Very important for me is being able to pay with credit card without paypal, which I don't have.

I was so excited to receive my cotton candy whipped body butter I could of burst! When it arrived I was horrified! It was melted and it was a mess every where, I understand things melt but lotion in November? Please save your money you will be disappointed!

The hidden fees, no response for emails. They'll suspend your account and withhold your money and you'll be talking to bots when you try to get in contact with support. Please look up all the reviews that are recent! Don't sell through Etsy! They're terrible! Save yourself the hassle! I'm STILL waiting for my money and it's been 3 months!

It takes way too long to ship. The owners of the companies don't Ever respond when you have a question about your order. The quality is not great. I ordered several things at one time hoping they would come in before our disney trip. They pretty much ruined that because they did not come in and would not return them or respond. There is no help for the buyer whatsoever. I would definitely recommend not using ETSY for your purchases.

They are terrible with their customer service. I will never use etsy ever again to purchase anything.

Etsy has a lot of cool stuff from small business that you cannot normally find, so i really recommend shopping from there for things like art work, room decor, DIY objection (earrings, necklace etc). Shipping is relatively fast depending on how soon the seller ships out the product, but its a super safe platform to purchase from!

"Unfortunately, my experience with Etsy as a seller was extremely disappointing. I have a silver jewelry business and have been represented on various online platforms, but I have never experienced such disrespectful behavior from customer support. I spent six months trying to register for an account, only to have it suspended shortly after receiving a congratulatory email. Despite sending numerous emails requesting clarification and providing all necessary legal documents and business information, I received no response. As a result, I find it difficult to trust a platform that can block my account and withhold my funds without explanation or communication. It is truly disheartening that such a large company would treat their sellers in such a manner."

Horrible. They close your shop for no reason instead of focusing their attention on the resellers. They make so much money and consider themselves "professional" yet they don't even have a contact number. Artfire and other handmade sites are WAY better. Also, I suggest making your own website.

Customer Service is crappy- it took them 3 days to get back to me regarding a product I never received. Even then, my money was never refunded.

Bad experience, but they have some pretty nice products. I guess it depends on the seller you buy from as well.

Can't check out. One step to final checkout and I get some stupid screen which says something about me not being authorised to change information.? Whatever. Taking my dollars elsewhere. Thanks for nothing!

Sometimes I wonder if buyers realize that Etsy had individual sellers? Also, some complaining about sellers purchasing for exp items from Walmart for 12 bucks than sell said item for 45. Well how do you expect the seller to make profit?!

Terrible I've been screwed over multiple times. I get excuses when I try to ask about an order. I bought things that were not even available for sale then they send me some crappy item or on two occasions nothing at all. I will never go through this again. Sellers are mean and combative. Save your self money and time and a headache.

Poor accessibility and no contact options for managing transactions and fraudulent buyers. To date, I've not found a customer service phone or email option - only automated responses through their pre-qualified designations - a disappointing development after all the time put in.

What a waste of time. Will not be back for any reason! Shop owner lied about shipping twice! Took them 10 days to investigate the no show item, another 10 before I got my refund. Just don't do business with these people!

I've read some pretty terrible reviews for Etsy, but luckily I have not experienced any issues. Just ordered something for a friend and asked if it could be sent a few days before their est. Shipping date. The seller was very sweet and I got my item WAY faster than expected. Love Etsy.

A fantastic site full of lots of talented people.
Same deal as ebay, check all seller reviews & contact sellers if needed.
Iv got many things from old computer games to homemade furniture.
Etsy also looks after its sellers so prices are generally lower than ebay.

Etsy support team members should really get themselves jobs elsewhere as they are champions with being slow, ignorant and poorly trained. But if this is what the Etsy management wants, then they have reached the goal. My messages take weeks of not months to respond, never contain anything helping and in 100% it is brushing me off their laziest shoulder. Shame on you, guys, and may you have the same attitude from everyone when you need help.

Tip for consumers:
since I am not able to influence the support level I cannot advise of anything better but being aware and trying to stay away from it, it really sucks.

Etsy closed my shop after have 100% reviews with lots of repeat happy customers with NO warning or way to even contact them to speak about it. If you are a newcomer to Etsy WATCH OUT. There are sellers on there who love to attack new people. They will flag your items and get them pulled out of your shop. The fact that they let all this drama go down and give us innocent, minding our own business sellers the cold shoulder makes me sick! I'm a single mom who finally found a great way to make income doing what I love and now it is ruined because of jealous, vindictive women. If anyone else knows where I can go to sell digital images (instant download) please let me know. Besides Etsy rakes you through the coals with their fees. Everything has a fee attached.

Purchased an item, it was never shipped, passed the deadline to file a dispute by one day, spent an hour trying to figure all this out. Will avoid etsy from now on. Ebay and Amazon don't rip you off. Can't even leave a review about the seller ripping me off.

I absolutely love etsy.com I've found some really unique stuff using the website. If you're looking for a "one of a kind" gift or item for yourself this is the place to go. I bought my mom a beautiful personalized engraved necklace this past Christmas. She wears it every day! I'll always buy from etsy. There's so much neat stuff.

Each time i buy or review the product someone is always there to write me.To help guide me. Recently I purchased a egg ornament unique it arrived to my sister in tact and exactly unseen the present was beautiful. They stand behind there warm words.

I used Etsy for the first time last week. I made two purchases both of which were processed and shipped promptly. The Christmas cards I bought are adorable and I can't wait to send them out. Great quality. My body butter will arrive this week and I look forward to using it. When I had questions prior to the purchase, my questions were answered quickly and with the utmost courtesy. I plan to do my holiday shopping on Etsy in an effort to support small businesses. Please note that every seller is individual and unique so I could've just as easily had a crappy experience. If I did have bad customer service or shipping issues, I'd blame the seller not Etsy.

I ordered five different things from five different sellers. Two of the items (the expensive ones) didn't look anything at all like the pictures that were posted online. And one item was never shipped. That's basically stealing. I'm currently having a hard time getting anyone to help with a refund. Don't waste your time or money!
