📢 Attention, Etsy Community and Support Team! My Etsy shop, NecklaceAura, was permanently banned right at the beginning of my journey with no explanation provided. To make matters worse, I was scammed as a seller on my very first day on the Etsy platform (Issue ID: #16571142). As a passionate and dedicated creator, I am deeply disappointed and seeking clarity on this decision. I kindly ask Etsy to review my case, unblock my store, and provide a transparent explanation. It is unfair to penalize a small business without a clear reason. My small business dream depends on it! #EtsyHelp #SupportSmallBusiness #NecklaceAura #EtsyCommunity
I tried setting one up, and it was instantly and permanently shut down by Etsy without so much as a hint of explanation. There weren't even any listings on the store—literally, all I did was create a profile picture. I appealed the closure, and guess what? Denied. No reason, no transparency, nothing. Now I can't sell or buy anything on my account, and if I try to set up a new one, that'll be blocked too. And to top it all off? Their denial of the appeal is permanent—no second chances, no reconsideration. Ridiculous.
I bought a couple of matching Father Daughter Tshirts for My Son for Fathers Day. They got shipped to the house across the street. When I contacted Etsy they were just rude telling me it was all my fault and tough luck! When I said I thought that was poor customer service, they just laughed in my face and said I was being Rude!
I don't know how these people stay in business I will never order from them again.
When I told them I wouldn't order again. They suspended my account and said "Good".
I felt really bad my Son didn't get his present that I paid for.
Sold item on Etsy made $5.35. After several months of trying to get my money deposited into bank account.
They are saying I have to Have credit card and bank account.no longer have credit card so they are saying they can't give me my money. This is bologna. Give me my money!
Bought a stereo, money taken from my account. Next day a msg from esty saying I have a suspended account. Just opened one with my purchase. Money was returned at least and the stereo was up again for sale at $600 more. Screw this site lucky I got my loot back.
If your a seller they will hold your payments for days or weeks while you are trying to calm buyers who are telling you they have paid! They tell you not to send stuff until the payment is processed but buyers are wondering why its taking WEEKS! Etsy makes you get bad reviews so you have to pay for advertising to actually get sales! You pay and pay and pay and you get nothing in return. They don't even care about you.
I am a first time ETSY customer. On the 9th November I ordered 2 different personalised cushions, from 2 different sellers. I requested both to be delivered to the same address. The first was delivered in a timely manner, to the address I requested.
The second cushion is currently being help hostage by the seller Currents and Clouds. They are demanding additional delivery charge. I can't get my head around this as the first seller managed to deliver to the address given.
I have tried to have ETSY intervene several times and they seem unwilling.
Would love some advise on how to resolve this. I am reluctant to hand over more money...
I've recently started a pin shop on Etsy as I wanted some extra cash for my college fund. So far I'm very impressed! I've had 15 sales so far and have made a few extra bucks I wouldn't have had. I highly recommend this site :)
No access/dead end
This site closes all access to a customer who does not have an account, I closed my account on their site because I am not interested in buying from this place, unfortunately I have orders that are still open, I have no way to check what's up with the orders, unless I reopen) an account.
I hope you understand the type and quality of their attitude towards the customer, you have been warned, think carefully before you buy, Read the customer reviews about this "platform" called 'Etsy', go google it, you must see what buyers write about their experiences with this place
Don't buy or sell on Etsy. I talk as seller and as buyer as well. In both cases, the support Totally ignore you. As buyer I saw a lot of scammers and as seller they close your shop for no reasons and don't giving you a reason. Totally timelosers. There are a lot of other sites like Fiverr we can go selling or buying.
I was a seller. A customer wanted a return saying the item was incorrectly listed as small when it is an extra small. It was listed as extra small and that was easy to see. Etsy forced the return saying I did not have a "no return" policy on my account. I also don't have a policy that I will return for any reason (I lose money on shipping and the customer was claiming it was incorrectly listed... but it was listed correctly). Etsy forced the return and the customer did not return the product. Etsy then gave me the run around. Avoid.
Opened up a "case" on the website requesting a refund back in mid November. Was told I had been issued a full refund and the case was closed by one of their admins. It is now January and have been in touch numerous times, I have received slow replies and still no refund.
Tip for consumers:
Not worth the hassle.
I was looking for paintings of JesusChrist, and Etsy was the first website that came up. I went in and looked at the first painting, when I scroll to the next one there was a pornographic picture of a woman (who also seemed to have had a cut penis) and next to it a picture of a man masturbating.
This is obviously ill-intended. And I was shocked! I was left speechless and completely confused at what was thrown in my face. The images were so disturbing! And the act of embedding something like that to a search that was completely the opinion nature was unbelievable.
To clarify, this was not a spelling mistake in the search, the disturbing images were right next to the paintings of JesusChrist inside the website, Etsy.
I'm an adult, and I'm ok. The scariest part is that I any child or teenager that has access to internet and uses it for wholesome searches and can go into websites like Etsy and run into nasty stuff that can actually really scar them.
It's very alarming!
Tip for consumers:
Watch out for pornography in this site!!

Go here if you search for a gift or for any decorative thingy for your appartment - its the right place. I got curtains, pillows and couple pictures as a gift for my friends. The delivery was issued via post so it was a bit long but it was my choice and rest of the service was brilliant. Thank you!
Paying over $30 for an item and not receiving is exactly what happened for me. I contacted the seller who basically said sorry for you and Etsy saying well that problem is between you and the seller is exactly that, disgusting. I wish I would have known how terrible this experience would have been because I would have just went to amazon.
I placed an order on 4/23/20 for a piece of fabric. My credit card was charged with a couple days however I still have not received my order. When my order was first placed, I received a message it would be shipped in 2 - 3 weeks. Now when I request an update on my order, I get a message that it will ship in 4 - 6 weeks. This is ridiculous. This is a piece of fabric 18" X 18 ". How long should a person have to wait. I have sent several emails to the owner and to Esty and have not received a response. Todays date is 5/27/20. I will be patient one more week and if I don't receive my order I will be reporting this fraud to my credit card company. With all the negative reviews I'm seeing on this website, I doubt I will get a response. Will never order from this company again.
Please be really cautious when purchasing from here. The sellers tend to use different photos of their items. I purchased a ring based off of a picture the seller had and received a COMPLETELY different ring. Not happy at all, never again will I purchase from here.
Love all the wonderful handmade pottery on this site, and although I am a potter myself, I love buying and collecting other artists work. I made some absolutely phenomonal purchases, and at prices less than I would see at a local art fair. I am currently awaiting a large decorative centerpiece bowl I bought during the past week. It's like christmas all year long!
This is the only site that refuses a refund when a product is not received. It becomes the responsibility of the buyer when a shipped item is lost by the shipping company chosen by the seller. Etsy and the seller both get paid and the customer is out of luck.
Complete scam. Paid for the merchandise, of course that went perfectly smooth. Item never arrived. TruetiquesInc promised the refund, that never arrived either. Etsy refuses to do anything for the buyer. 3 months later, still out 109$.
They take way too long to answer any questions. I was locked out of my account and they asked me to send them a lot of my personal information, so that I can regain access. I answered all of their personal information questions on the 1st of April, I wrote to them again on the 4th then the 5th, they answered only one of my questions and still never reached out about regaining access to my account. I wrote again on the 5th with no answer, it is now the 16th of April, and I am still waiting.
If you have issues with your account, Etsy will NOT help, if you are lucky and don't have any problems then it is fine to use.
I would not advice using Etsy, I ordered the gift at Etsy.com - CornishHart. The shop is named Cornish Hartes in UK, they could not ship in Canada and asked them to cancel and send back the refund. The seller of this shop never responded. This is so sad because I tried to contact the customer service but there is nothing you can do because they just let you deal with the seller who can just be a scammer. So desappointed and will not advice Etsy if you want to buy something.
Last time I bought somentthing on Etsy I didn't have any problems, but it was many months ago. I bought several items from different sellers and they always arrived on time and well packaged. I remember wwo items in particular because I loved them: the sellers have been very helpful and have personalized my order.
I hope that Etsy will become a better place to shop and sell.
From the excellent website photos, I expected beautiful jewelry. What I had not anticipated was the exquisite packaging. Every detail of the gift bag, gift-wrapped jewelry box, a label were particularly taseteful. Of course, upon opening these, the treasures were everything promised by the website.
Signed up and account was suspended almost immediately without any reason. Not even an email. Contacted customer service, been 3 days, no response. Too bad for Ronnie, really liked that citrine pendant.
I can't leave a review on Barmine. Etsy is no help. It will be a cold day in hell before I buy anything on Etsy. I already told everyone I know to stay away. The item wasn't as described and is a piece of garbage. Good-by for ever Etsy with your horrible practices. I will tell the world on Facebook. Barry
Chris Moshinskie of collegeprojewelry sold me and my friend fake pandora bracelets. I should have known better after looking him up he was arrested 5+ times for stealing merchandise from stores and selling it online. Also saw that there is a lawsuit against him for selling counterfeit dvds to 100s of people on ebay.
