📢 Attention, Etsy Community and Support Team! My Etsy shop, NecklaceAura, was permanently banned right at the beginning of my journey with no explanation provided. To make matters worse, I was scammed as a seller on my very first day on the Etsy platform (Issue ID: #16571142). As a passionate and dedicated creator, I am deeply disappointed and seeking clarity on this decision. I kindly ask Etsy to review my case, unblock my store, and provide a transparent explanation. It is unfair to penalize a small business without a clear reason. My small business dream depends on it! #EtsyHelp #SupportSmallBusiness #NecklaceAura #EtsyCommunity
I tried setting one up, and it was instantly and permanently shut down by Etsy without so much as a hint of explanation. There weren't even any listings on the store—literally, all I did was create a profile picture. I appealed the closure, and guess what? Denied. No reason, no transparency, nothing. Now I can't sell or buy anything on my account, and if I try to set up a new one, that'll be blocked too. And to top it all off? Their denial of the appeal is permanent—no second chances, no reconsideration. Ridiculous.
I placed my order on Apr 16. On Apr 18 they sent an email saying it was shipped but I haven't received it as of yesterday May3. Got in contact with a "Sydney Miller to tell her about the issue. She or he was very rude & blamed me of being nasty. Told me that they would TRY to find my order? Never said if they couldn't solve the problem I would be geting my money back. I will never ever order from them again. Guess that just money wasted. But I really feel like something should be done about the rude. Disrespectful customer service.
I have used Esty to make purchases on occasion. I have always felt the company showed no interest in customer satisfaction but now they are involved in defrauding customers. CoyoteRainbow seller deals in healing stones. They are selling fake Moldivite stones that are very expensive $30 to $100 a piece. I contacted Esty about the fraud and have yet to hear from them a month later. I will be giving a review w/ Consumer Affairs next and so on. Esty has 700 plus reviews here and a rating of 2/5. I am grateful to Sitejabber and others for this venue.
Very disappointing... NEVER purchase a website built by redklovers(http://www.redklovers.com/)... I wasn't informed about not being able to transfer to another site and I'm stuck with wix... Which I HATE! Spent $650.00 and didn't receive all that was promised with the purchase and It took over 2 months to complete... And esty doesn't care as long as they make their money...
I ordered a pair of sunglasses off of etsy for $300. The vendor sent me a $10 pair that weren't even remotely close to the style i ordered. When i contacted etsy, i couldn't talk to any of their staff but was sent right to a contact the seller site. Repeated efforts to resolve the issue with the seller were fruitless and he eventually stopped answering my emails. Repeated attempts to contact etsy staff were also unsuccessful. There is simply no way you can actually speak with anyone there. I have made several purchases from etsy with success so it's a matter of their vetting of the vendors and that there are some bad ones. I just made an inquiry on another item that i just didn't get and ran into the same issues. So, buyer beware, if you pick the wrong vendor, you won't be made whole on your investment. Etsy and i are done.
Tip for consumers:
some of the vendors at etsy don't follow through by sending you your purchase. etsy vetting is spotty at best and etsy has nothing to do with the customer's problems with these vendors.

Etsy was letting me sale items that wasn't handmade but I help designed them and than later after making 1000's of dollars off of me Etsy removed some of my listings. Anyways, finishing up the rest of my orders and I am leaving Etsy..
Tip for consumers:

I purchased a wooden heart wall decor. It is even nicer than I anticipated. I will be sure to shop on Etsy again. You might want to check out www.curtisandfoster.com. I am very happy and completely satisfied. You can't go wrong! I will definitely shop from then again.

First, I am a seller. I have had only postive experiences in my over 200 sales. Every customer is so complimentary and easy to work with. I am paid immediately and have never had a problem in 4 years.
I have loved every item I have purchased on etsy. When buying, check sold section to see comments from other buyers. Communication with seller is easy and custom items can be accomodated. Try it, you will not be disappointed.
They closed my store without any notice or explanation just before the holidays. I had excellent feedback too. They never responded to my emails asking for an explanation of why my store was closed. Now I have received emails from someone pretending to be a buyer on Etsy but I found out it wasn't true. Someone from Etsy is sending out fake emails pretending to be a customer to spy on you and your activities.
I paid $35 for an Elberta Peach tree. It was less than half the size as described. I followed the instructions very carefully. After one month, there was absolutely no sign of growth. I kept it protected and made sure the soil was moist. I called and expressed my concerns to GreenThumbsGarden. They put me off, saying to be patient, that it would grow. A month later I expressed my concerns again to GreenThumbsGarden, because it was showing no sign of growing. This spring, it did not bud at all. Further examination proved it had died. I feel ripped off! Now that the tree has died, they say I did not complain within the Etsy 100-day window. I believe GreenThumbsGarden put me off deliberately so the 100-day window would expire. Now they claim they cannot help me! Niether GreenThumbsGarden nor Etsy stand behind the products they sell. Their customer service is abysmal!
Tip for consumers:
The tree I received was actually a twig with a clump of roots on it. I was less than half the size described on the GreenThumbsGarden website. I was assured THREE times that the tree would grow. They did not care about my concerns when there was no sign of growth after 3 months. Now I am out $35 because my fourth complaint was after the Etsy 100-day window. I am very angry.

Dina from Dina Paola Designs was great to work with. Dina would follow up with me to make sure that I was happy with the color for the Hershey Kiss stickers that I ordered. Dina's turn around time was quick and I was happy with the quality. I will definitely order again from Dina.
I had recent dealings with Boki Skoro for some funny toilet signs. For some reason the parcel went missing in transit reasons known only to Aus post. Boki bent over backwards chasing the parcel till all avenues were exhausted and constantly keeping me up to date. Boki then sent me at no charge the same items of the original order. Some15 days after postage the 1st package arrived with no explanation for delay. Boki told me to give them to friends and I would not be charged for them. Wil repeat purchase and recommend.
Bought a t-shirt from sculltamatgear. It was a Johny cash t-shirt. It's been three months and this shop is out of Cleveland Ohio. I emailed twice and was given the run-around. I emailed a third time asking for my money back and no response. I went to find the shop and it's says oops doesn't exist. I won't buy anything off this anymore! Esty should either make it right because trickery and scam artist should be vetted to protect the consumer! It's clear that's not happening here. I won't loose my $$$*" over 30 bucks, but... goodbye Esty!
In general I have no complaints but one. I've been buying from Etsy for some time and so far got one unresolved incident. The store name is AvesDesign and I bought some bralette which looks beautiful, delicate, and exactly what I was looking for. I bought a white one and even asked if they had black one available that I was interested. They sent me this bralette from he'll. Stretched, stained and far from be a-delicate-well-cut-sew-girl-thing. I wrote to them to never be answered and the cherry on the top... I can't find the store anymore. Can they block? Thieves.
ETSY Support is non existent. I had a shipment that never arrived. While simple, the small business I bought from acted as if I was taking their house by asking for a credit. Accordingly I attempted to escalate to ETSY but found a convoluted "case" system where they would get back to me in a week. No worries I simply did a credit card dispute and received an immediate credit.
If you can't talk with someone to resolve an issue, go where you can get help (eg Amazon, Target, Kohls etc); a blind email such as ETSY uses may never get your issue resolved.
I see one of the worst aggregate review scores for ETSY in the entire industry sp it appears that my review is consistent.

Their is no end to thier fees. Listing fees, subscription fees, admin fees, offsite ad fees, onsite advertisement fees, shipping fees, transaction fees... They also even charge you if you sell something in person from your square account. Their customer support is a joke. They hide their customer service numbers emails and contact behind a 5 layer maze of questions before you can even contact them through a form. And yes there are dead ends to these customer service questions. I received a bad review, I fixed the order and satisfied the customer and Etsy will not change the reviews. So Im stuck with the bad reviews. So I guess its karma that they are receiving my bad review.
I ordered a Christmas ornament for a 50th wedding anniversary. Patty and I exchanged a ton of emails to get it right. She was wonderfully patient and went out of her way to get it to me on time. I was so impressed. The ornament is lovely and cost the same as a non custom made design.
As a seller its a NITEMARE! They treat you like S#@t and you can not get a reply out of them when you email them with a problem but when they want you for something its a different matter, they are straight on your case. I really don't understand why they do this? Customer is the main priority to run a business and they just haven't got a clue! Very Very Very poor :(
I purchased (2) 6-foot dining tables from Buehlerfurniture thru Etsy for $1530. 00. Initially, communications with the seller were professional. When the order arrived, one table slightly slumping and the other table was perfect. I reached out to the seller to ask if it would get worse, we were disappointed but could live with it. He promised it would not get worse. 2 months later its ridiculous, slumping, pathetic, bowed table looks awful, much much worse. I reached out to the seller to replace the table and the seller stopped responding. I reached out to Etsy to help with the seller and they gave the excuse that it was past the dispute time window even tho the seller promised the table would not get worse. I am so disappointed by the customer service, lack of ethics, professionalism and quality of product from this seller and Etsy.
I used to love Etsy. This experience was very negative.
I bought 8 rod socks from them they done a great job on making sure then name was spelled right on the rod socks and was very fast shipping they are great people to deal with we had a shipping problem usps delivered the rod socks to the wrong address and they was helping me track the package down it wasn't there falt it was usps falt I will be ordering more rod socks from them
Tip for consumers:
Just checking your email because they are very fast about answering you back
I had a store with etsy for about 4 months. I was making about $7,000 on sales per month until a $#*! called Kaycie from "integrity team" suspended my account.
I appealed the suspension and she denied it. One night, I got an email from her and she called me " damn guy" and replied and asked why she was calling me like that and she pretty much said " haha I suspended your $#*!ing store".
I do not understand how a company like etsy can have a person like her working on the integrity team. I have never ever in my life received an treat like that.
I was in shock when I read her message. I still have that message if anyone would like to see it. The message came from integrity at etsy. Com
Poor company and stuff.
I agree and would not advise using Etsy, I ordered a cat fountain. The shop is named SkullsRusofficial in the UK, the package when it arrived, came from Utica, NY. I asked them for return on the faulty fountain and refund. The seller of this shop was combative, called me a liar, told me that I was free to send it back but that there would be no refund, even if faulty. This is so sad because I was really nice to them. There is nothing Etsy will do because they just let buyers deal with sellers who lie and deceive about their products. In this case, I thought I was getting a unique fountain from England. When it arrived, the box said Made in China and the product had Chinese writing on it along with instructions that weren't in English. So disappointed. I do not recommend Etsy if you want to buy something. I contacted my credit card company for a full dispute of the amount. When I went back to this seller's site, the cat fountain was removed. It's really nefarious.

Etsy has sucked for some time now, but now there's a brand new reason they suck. They are using reCaptcha to see is you are a human. The problem is that reCaptcha can't tell you're a human. For several days now I have clicked thru hundreds of photos of motorcycles, bicycles, busses, cars, traffic signals, stairs, crosswalks, etc. I have clicked my way thru 257 reCaptchas today alone. Each time, after doing literally hundreds of reCaptchas, I'm told that I am an automated system, and thus not allowed access. The only way to tell Etsy their system won't let you logon is to logon first, which of course you can't do. I would just give up, but I need information that's on Etsy to do my taxes.
Tip for consumers:
It would be helpful if there was a way to contact Etsy to let them know you can't log on. Requiring people to log on to be able to tell Etsy they can't log on is counterproductive, to say the least.

I have been selling on Etsy since 2014. Initially their fees were reasonable. Now they have essentially tripled. And to make matters worse, they now force any shop that grosses $10K per year or more to participate in their advertising program that takes 12-15% of your gross (including shipping) in addition to all their other fees (listing fee, transaction fee, final value fee, final value fee on shipping). They never let you opt out, even if you drop below the $10K threshold. Now Etsy makes more off my sale than I do! I'm looking for a new platform!
Tip for consumers:
Don't!

I've made dozens of purchases from this site, and have yet to have received anything that wasn't as advertised. I hope they keep it this way as a legitimate site and keep out the false advertisers and scammers.
Tip for consumers:
Follow the reviews; go for who has the better reviews and most reviews for legitimacy.

Hey look at what I got for this thanksgiving. I love my mother and I thought to thank her for her love. That's why without telling her I ordered "Statement Cuff Bracelet" from etsy's online store "footsoles24"
It's a handmade item, so it looks more beautiful. The more I see it, more I get influenced to it.
I got it at 15% discount of $33.92 & it is adjustable in size. Today I am gonna give it to her and I feels like - she surely love to have it. Isn't it amazing - yeah it is…
I've had a great experience as a seller on Etsy (www.auberginefox.etsy.com) but also as a very long term customer. I've only had one negative shopping experience to date, and Etsy customer service sorted it out for me and I got my money back.
