📢 Attention, Etsy Community and Support Team! My Etsy shop, NecklaceAura, was permanently banned right at the beginning of my journey with no explanation provided. To make matters worse, I was scammed as a seller on my very first day on the Etsy platform (Issue ID: #16571142). As a passionate and dedicated creator, I am deeply disappointed and seeking clarity on this decision. I kindly ask Etsy to review my case, unblock my store, and provide a transparent explanation. It is unfair to penalize a small business without a clear reason. My small business dream depends on it! #EtsyHelp #SupportSmallBusiness #NecklaceAura #EtsyCommunity
I tried setting one up, and it was instantly and permanently shut down by Etsy without so much as a hint of explanation. There weren't even any listings on the store—literally, all I did was create a profile picture. I appealed the closure, and guess what? Denied. No reason, no transparency, nothing. Now I can't sell or buy anything on my account, and if I try to set up a new one, that'll be blocked too. And to top it all off? Their denial of the appeal is permanent—no second chances, no reconsideration. Ridiculous.
I used hate ebay. Like etsy. Until 1 seller. Wouldn't refund my money.the dishes was chipped. She didn't write it in the description. She a bad seller.at least ebay give you your money back.
Spent 5 years on this site, and one day they shut us down without warning just like housand of sellers else. This is the most unsafe place for seller, please be careful!
Can definitely find cute goodies on the site. If you're looking for something like that give it a shot. Wasn't disappointed with the purchases so far myself.
Stay away from Etsy.crap as they work with crooks and do not support you in any way.
LuckyOneJP is a cheap crook that screws American consumers and Etsy covers them all the way

Rather than 5 stars for etsy this is for felicesereno who sells the most amazing vintage items. Great customer service. I am a repeat buyer and he always send out a small gift
A publicly traded business with millions in turnover and a customer support for sellers that to define shameful, catastrophic and outrageous, is not enough to describe the lowest level at which it is.
Team leaders and a Head of Customer Service who should be hiding.
I have been trying to get an answer for 4 months, 4 months and in the meantime I work at my shop in total uncertainty.
The cases are managed by different agents, a practice that already 15 ago was branded as detrimental to the quality of the service. Everytime a new agent jump into the case, they rarely read what the previous agent said, on top of this they provide partial answers on a rush and do not read carefully the original message, in this way they do faster and are able to fall within the company's key performance indicators, all at the expense of the quality of service for which CEO Josh Silverman should be hiding in a hole.
In the meantime, with lousy support, the company introduces the Star Seller program (when a Star Customer Support Program?), A program that evaluates the quality of Etsy's sellers based on key performance indicators, some of which are not measurable and questionable, penalizing sellers who don't respond to customer messages within 24 hours, but forgetting that the world is divided into time zones and that customers don't necessarily write when the seller is awake.
Tip for consumers:
Do not count on Etsy support, it's probably the worst you may find in 2021. No phone number for both customers and sellers and no email, you need to use their contact form and hope that perhaps one day someone will answer correctly addressing your problem.

After I tried pereat operation from different e-mails and accouts but every mynew accout was suspended without talking reasons... I became hate this site because spent a lot of time and emotions...
Someone used my son's stolen credit card to purchase some crocs had it shipped to a different address then sent my son a crappy pair of flipflops and Etsy refused a us a refund because the said that someone in my house made the purchase I was like of course it is under my son's name his info was stolen. I can't deal with Etsy. If you're Iooking for the best smartphone spy app to keep track of kids and loved ones. Technically, it is best to go for Xspy from McRae's software division. Even though this app will cost you a basic charge, it's more safer, secure, reliable and also offers easy installation, smooth interface and remote monitoring. It also guarantee security and consume less data. You can also sign up for a free version to test things out. Plus, if you use this app, you do not even require phone rooting or jailbreaking to spy. No customer service? I bought rare seeds on their site and they turned out to be total crap. Elstinko is a totally scam and Etsy doesn't even respond to my complaints
I find it impossible to believe that despite of all the warnings, people still visit and get scammed on Etsy! Unsure in which language should any of us speak to make people understand that Etsy is a dangerous scam website whose sole purpose is to steal your money and to sell your personal details to other scam sites. I have been scammed out of $2400 in late 2017 and I had no where to turn! Calling the police or reporting the case to the FBI (Internet Crime Complaint Center) did not sort anything! Anyone can set up a "shop" on Etsy, link it to their PayPal account and put fake item images from the internet pretending that they are selling them. WAKE UP AND DO NOT FALL VICTIM TO THOSE ONLINE PREDATORS!
I had to call them 3 times to have something rectified and its not rectified yet. And specially the person who spoke with me didn't care at all. She barely spoke. I was very patient every time I speak with them but seems like they have ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT AT ALL to sellers. I would give less than a star if I can
So many honest, hard working sellers making handmade products have been ravaged by Etsy's CORPORATE GREED. Shame on the MONEYGRABBING CORPORATE CONTROLLERS! You put mass produced products everywhere and you have no compassion for the sellers that made you what you WERE. You sit in your high and mighty offices and never respond to any requests (dont even provide a place to contact you). Aloof, arrogant vermin. Stay away from Etsy! Don't buy from Etsy. And you scum who sold out, there is KARMA. What you reap will come back to bite. You helped diminish what's good about this country. EAT, LIVE AND SLEEP WITH THAT SHAME.
I found here hundreds of dresses in vintage style at available prices and good quality. So incredibly happy to find this place and from now on Ima stick to it!
Be Warned! Etsy is the home of scammers looking to steal your money! Over 98% of the items are fake or nonexistent at all! Etsy supports scammers masked as "sellers" and there is NOTHING that a fraud victim can do to get refund! Their "case resolution system" is automated and THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO PROTECTION!
This scam place called "Etsy" will be out of business soon if we raise awareness and boycott it altogether! Please share this review with your family and friends. I don't want others to be scammed like I did!
Tip for consumers:
Null rating. Etsy is a dangerous scam website!
After selling on Etsy for years, successfully, despite other sellers sabotaging me by using reviews and falsy reporting items to try and get my store closed, I am moving out of the platform. It is a dictatorship that threatens its sellers with store closures constantly and uses vague strongly worded threatening emails to scare its sellers. Considering the raise in fees and they take a cut of everything, the sale, the postage, and even the gift wrapping services f you offer one, it has become a run-at-a-loss proposition for most new and developing sellers. Unless you sell specialized high-ticket items or massive amounts of low-cost items that you have to compete against the mostly Asian knock shops, you have a less than a good chance of surviving. You can't block abusive or inappropriate messages, you can't have any control over your store, and they will kick you off in a heartbeat with no explanation. Its simply not worth the cost or the stress of dealing with the threats to close your store every time their algorithms find an item that they don't like even if it doesn't violate policies, they will send you a nasty email and bounce you off the site with no $ and no recourse. If you are new they hold your funds for up to 45 days-which extremely disheartening and difficult for new sellers. It's just become too controlling and too expensive. How sad it was once wonderful now it's a money-hungry dictatorship. Beware new ones!
Tip for consumers:
I recommend using another non 'E' selling platform of almost any kind if you have any hope of making a dollar for yourself for all your hard work.

I was a seller not a buyer
Esty is worst company I ever deal with it! All the agents had no respect to seller. Suspended me without notice and any explanation. There is many websites you can start business. BUT ESTY WONT BE A THE CHOICE FOR YOU!
I bought an item which cost hundreds of dollars and the first time I used it-it broke. I returned it to the seller and have been waiting months for a refund. Opening a case with Etsy and it is a joke. It's just you and the seller arguing back and forth and every week or two an Etsy administrator chimes in with some random response that has nothing to do with what you're talking about. They claim they have nothing to do with the transaction and that they can't make buyers/sellers give refunds, etc. YET they take a portion of the costs and make millions if not billions off of the site so SURELY they have some type of liability. But nope! They had behind legal mumbo jumbo and basically say they just bring sellers and vendors together. Both buyers and sellers should be very cautious. If you happen to get screwed like I did... Etsy suddently has nothing to do with it. Also, don't even try to say anything negative on their boards or forums. They quickly take it down citing "confidentiality" rules even if you don't mention any vendors/sellers names. Coincidentally, this confidentiality rule does not apply if you're praising them or a vendor/seller. How convenient! I'm out $400 and have nothing to show but months of headache and a waste of my time/money.
To buy an ELECTRONIC gift card it took over 4 HOURS for them to email it to me and only after i emailed them about 4 times complaining. They also have no phone number to call. ANY OTHER STORE ONLINE ANYWHERE that sells online gift cards provides the link to print it INSTANTLY. 4 hours is absolutely absurd.
Website link for vendor: https://www.etsy.com/shop/laplumeblanche
Ordered a crystal necklace on a gold chain. Came, wasn't the product pictured on vendor's own site, she told me to ship it back to her and she would replace it. So I pay $17 to ship it back, now I'm out $48 total and she tells me she never recieved the package. So not only am I out $48 because this shady person with this site doesn't send me what she has pictured on her own site but I have no necklace at all. Etsy's response was: Oh well time's up to file a claim. Wtf?!?! I have attached images. The first one is the necklace on her site that I ordered and the next 3 are the pics of what I was actually sent... a busted up frosted crystal with chunks missing out of it not even on the same chain pictured on the vendors own site! Ripoff site! Do not purchase from Laplumeblanche & don't expect Etsy to rectify the problem or get you the product your purchased or your money back when you deal with them!
I used to love etsy and even promoted them to everyone and even inspired some friends open shops of their own to sell there too long ago before they were as widely known. It is people like me who made etsy the community it became. I feel they treated their sellers better before they became public. It's not the same any more. They are becoming like another website I know that rhymes with dejay who's getting hammered by another website that rhymes with parmesan.
You'd be surprised how dirty some sellers play the game. Your competitors will be the ones to complain about your listings if you are doing too well (even if they are the ones infringing your original creative ideas). Have a few complaints and etsy will close your shop and it won't matter what you say. And if you have 2 shops, like I did, they will close both of them.
You're better off creating your own website and driving your own traffic through other websites. At $. 20 per listing (for 3 months or until it sells, at which time you will incur another $. 20 to relist), fees add up real quick despite them taking 3% final value fee plus additional 3%+ if you opt for direct deposit.
I ORDERED A BOOT FOR $128.00, THE PRODUCTS I RECEIVED WAS NOT GOOD. AT FIRST, I THOUGHT I HAVE LOST MY BUCKS, BUT WHEN I CALLED THEIR REFUND HELPLINE NUMBER i. E. *******320 and CLAIMED FOR THE REFUND.
AND GUESS WHAT! WITHIN 8 WORKING DAYS THE MONEY GOT CREDITED IN MY ACCOUNT. AFTER READING SO MUCH OF NEGATIVE REVIEWS I THOUGHT I HAVE LOST MY MONEY, BUT AT THE END I GOT MY REFUND...
I've been selling on etsy on and off for the last 10 years. I recently opened up a shop 8 months ago. A true achievement, as it was doing very well, and I put a 110% into it. Reaching over 100 listings, I typically lose interest in many things but This was something I was proud of. In the beginning of July, I received an email from etsy stating my shop was suspended. At the end of the back and forth emails from the automated system, they stated "we can not disclose why we closed down the shop".
To contact someone on etsy is a headache. The fees, the buyers, the layout, personally I'd make ur own website. As you spend so much money on marketing for the shop you are marketing etsy as well. I spend alot in just using their ads. Marketing my shop but marketing etsy because people shop around, etsy is no help if you need them. You will be talking to a robot, or be talking to people who don't understand what you are asking. Spend the time and open ur own website, you'll have way better results.
Tip for consumers:
Think twice about opening a store up, to get ahold of someone is ridiculous. The fees associated with the account is not worth it.
For the most part, the people I bought things from on that site were talented, professional, and kind people, However, the one time I had a problem with someone I was very disappointed by Etsy's ability to help at all.
I had ordered two custom made clothing items from a buyer who had originally contacted me asking about the sizes and such, which was normal. It took quite a bit and so I wrote back to them to ask if everything was going okay. This was last August, and they replied several weeks later to say they had a family emergency and that it would take a little while longer. After that I never heard from them again.
I had gotten notice that it shippped in December, but it didn't have a track number like any of my other orders, and it never came in.
I sent a complaint explaining what had happened to Etsy to ask for help, but they said after a certain amount of time after the order, there is nothing they can do. I went back to their feedback and noticed other people had been having that problem too.
So, basically, Etsy is a fine website as long as you're careful about who you order from, and don't expect any actual help from Etsy.
