Purchased aquarium plants on Etsy shop Planterest. Item never shipped. Poor customer service from planterest and Etsy. Only got refund after disputed charge with bank. Beware no phone numbers to call thwir venders. Its very risky to buy anything in here.

I have order many times from this website and not run unto a problem until recently. I purchased a tea tree oil face soap and after 3 days I realized, I have not received a shipping confirmation. I contacted the seller, whom after two days contacted me back and stated that the paypal account was having issues. The money still was there but the seller had not taken the money out. The seller stated I would have to send a money order after they got the total. The soap cost $3.50 but there was no shipping cost. She tried to charge me $7.00 for shipping. That is doubled the price of item and I immediately canceled. The website is a handmade website (not all), the sellers are individuals and have a store front where they sell there unique items. You can also find vintage items on the website and very few commercial items but everything is one of a kind. Its a very reputable site.

I put alot of work into designing my products to only have my account deactivated without notice or an email to explain what the problem or issue is. I tried to do everything right but am at a loss. Have tried to contact and email them but to no avail. Don't waste your time with Etsy.

I bought some pearls on Etsy because the price is just too good to pass. It's a complete joke and pearls took 3 weeks to get to me from China. I took it to a jeweler friend and he said it doesn't look right.
Disappointed that Etsy allows fake jewerly sell on their website. Don't buy!

I don't usually leave comments about anything that I order and I don't know about any of the other sellers on this site but I ordered a glass from braintees and was more than satisfied. Not only was the quality great and the glass exactly what I ordered but it came in a timely matter. Inside the larger shipping box was a smaller, form fitting box along with a nice "thank you for ordering note" and a bow to place on top when I was done wrapping. Great service with this person! I would definately order from her again.

Ordered a birthday present at etsy.com, vendor MunchkinsNPumpkinsUK.

Time between order and delivery was 24 days (birthday present, which obviously didn't arrive in time). Vendor aggressively defending herself by pointing to all kind of vague conditions. Customer is stupid. Very customer unfriendly and delivery time of the 19th century. Paid 15 euro deliery cost for a product of 20 euro and had to wait for 24 days (shipping from UK to NL)!? Unreal. Never returning here again. P.S. And now I got reported for review extortion and abuse. Another example how seller is treating customers. Have no words left... Totally flabbergasted.

Ordered framed print from Heart Core Arts only received print without frame. Emailed Heart Core four different times with no reply. Tried to contact Etsy with no luck. Will not do business with Etsy or Heart Core ever again.

Do not use ETSY or the seller called ONCE UPON A SIGN!
At face value, this site looks great with lots of unique products etc. but in reality, it is an absolute nightmare.
I paid for my two orders and they have allegedly been shipped to me some 3 weeks ago from a UK seller to my UK address. I have never received the items and the seller has disappeared. There is no tracking number for postage. ETSY has no consumer protection and, quite frankly, don't care that I have essentially been scammed.
The sellers on Etsy are not registered companies, therefore don't have a company number and don't have their phone numbers on the site. So, you have no way to Trace the company, get your money back or get Etsy to interfere/ help.

My previous experiences with Etsy and those who sell on Etsy were not good. The item purchased was poorly grafted and fell apart within a week of receiving it. Neither the seller nor Etsy made any attempt to reconcile the problem. The seller actually told me that I was attempting to get her/him to give me a second identical item for free and that I could complain as much as I wanted to and it wouldn't hurt her business in the slightest. Etsy deleted my negative comments.
Quite by chance, I found "love the bugs" but was loathed to have to go through etsy again to make a purchase. I had numerous conversations with the proprietor of "love the bugs"and with a great deal of hesitation I made a purchase.
I described what I wanted and "love the bugs" exceeded my expectations with their dedication to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. I would advise everyone to stay away from Etsy but if you're looking for an exceptional product and customer service, contact "LOVE THE BUGS"!

Etsy is a scam site. It feels its run by mafias! If you signup with them to sell your products, they will take money for every listing and for advertising your products and THEN cut you off completely! Yes even if you follow policies 100%.

They reached me to remove some products (which i did) and so i uploaded handmade products. Yet they banned me without a notice, without asking me about them or anything. Moreover, they held my balance about 500 dollars of my money for SIX MONTHS (still not paid), although all related orders are competed and received by all customers. They believe somehow its their right to do this!

No selling platform works like this with sellers! They are completely unprofessionally and untrustworthy.

HORRIBLE Company! I have had problems with them and as a seller and they have NO support at all! Forget trying to get someone to talk to. They do not protect the seller! They only protect themselves! No worth selling and not worth buying. Horrible Company! STAY AWAY!

I purchased a watch band for Apple watch. Very well made, nice leather, and the ends fit precisely to the watch. Unlike many dealers selling Apple watch. It took about a week to arrive which was also excellent and efficient! Lauraette Evans

It is not worth buying or selling on this company called esty. You will not get what you order plus you can't get your money back they than will delete your account with no notes.

I bought a setting that is already is bending and the vendor will not help. I recommend that you stay away from Quincy custom jewelry or his real name Quong. You will get no help from him once he gets his money.

I have had both good and bad buying experiences on etsy. But two of them have just put me over the top. Sellers are not being truthful about their shipping times. They agree to one thing and then either "forget", or "the package came back to me because of not enough shipping on the label"... I ordered a Halloween costume for "bellabowgirls" on etsy, and it was shipped late, even though she agreed in her communication to ship it by the date I needed. I ended up having to go with another coustume for my child for Halloween night, even though I placed the order 5 weeks before Halloween. I am not pleased obviously. Even though there is lots of cute stuff floating around on Etsy... buyer please beware that the shipping and communications, and lies do exsist. These are not big company's, but individuals trying to make a killing off of their marked up merchandise. I could make most of this stuff myself if I wanted.

Etsy SUCKS. I am a new seller. I have a buyer buy my item and not pay for it. I found the buyers phone number in whitepages.com. I called them up. They were complete $#*! mother$#*!ers. A married couple in thier 50's. $#*!ing rude American White Trash. The next thing I a get a negative feedback from these losers and they want me to cancel the transaction. $#*! this company. They did not respond to one of my emails. $#*! this company there is no phone number. $#*! this company I had to pay the final value fees on my item that was not even bought to close my $#*!ing account. $#*! you Etsy you stupid $#*!ing losers out of $#*!hole Brooklyn NY

I purchased a item it was never shipped. The seller and esty.com never responded to my multiple messages. I had to file a dispute and get my money back from pay pal. And it took 2 weeks. Horrible. No customer service whatsoever

Etsy is very poor site! They dont safe byer and seller too! If you have a peoblem like byer and inform them they can not do nothing!
If you are seller they want all information about your handmade process and after 2-3 years just suspend your account and dont ask you why. Then you will see the same shop like yours but from other person... Very very Bad!
Stay a way from that poor site!

I used to love Etsy and spent a lot of money buying there but I got defrauded through it and Etsy didn't help at all. I bought a product from its vendor 'JRyanDesign' but the vendor never delivered it nor refunded my money and Etsy said that it couldn't help because I haven't complained on time. In fact, the vendor is still allowed to sell through Etsy. Needless to say I was very disappointed and closed my account since I don't feel safe buying there any more. Others beware, you may not be as protected as you think.

They sent my purchase to someone else is what they told me. So I'm having to wait till that customer decides to send it to me. What ever! Etsy should have sent out my purchase again but to me this time. I've emailed over and over Still havnt received anything Or my money back. Who is running this place. A bunch of kids?

I purchased a fishing hoodie and was highly disappointed with the weight of the item. Esty offered me $10 off my next purchase for the delay in the shipping only to have it expire in 3 days... what a joke! When I went to leave a review for the item, a screen came up saying this item and seller are no longer available. This was my first and last experience with Esty! Would Never Recommend

This site offers handmade and vintage products. It is set up somewhat like ebay except that everything is a buy it now product. I ordered a cute hand painted sewing basket and had no issues with the seller I purchased from. Again you have to be careful about who you buy from just as you do with ebay. Check feedback of sellers. It is fun to look at the vintage section on this site because you see alot of things that will remind you of when you were young. You can also set up an account to sell on this site and I believe the fees are cheaper than ebays. You can also order custom made items if offered by contacting the seller. You can usually find coupons for different stores on etsy at etsycouponcode.com.

This is a great site for artisans and suppliers a like. I sell supplies and in less then 1 years time I have made over $7000 USD doing so and have had 1000 sales. I have only had great buyers as of so far. Because of this site I have been able to quit my 9 to 5 and instead make my passion my fulltime gig. Many other people i know have done the same.
