I bought something from 'Day of Blossom' via Etsy and I paid freight charges. Now I have received a bill from FedEx asking for an 'advancement fee'. I have no idea what this is and no mention was made of such a fee on Etsy's website.

I had a really unpleasant time trying to buy some art on the Esty site and I would go so far as to say it is my worst ever experience as a customer on the internet. Two of my bank cards were blocked by Esty dispite having more than sufficient funds in both accounts. As a customer buying through Esty you are made to feel like a criminal. It took ages to sort this out and Esty customer service are not the slightest bit helpful. In fact the only way to contact them is to lodge an appeal with them which can take up to two weeks before they respond! The whole experience was a nightmare and very stressful. I have know several several companies with poor customer service and also many companies with very good customer service. Without a doubt Esty is the worst experience that I have had as a customer. I would never buy through them again.

I have ordered a few times from this site without any issues. In early August i ordered three masks and I received an email notifying me that they had shipped. As of August 29, they have not arrived. There was no tracking number and when I tried to contact the seller, Malaki the owner of Utahmaskco, i got an error message that I couldn't contact the seller. I tried to search the site for options to file a inquiry into the order, but I couldn't find any options. I did select chat and spent over ten minutes waiting for some kind of response.

Like i say, its a good site, if it works. If it doesn't, you might be on your own and accept that you may have been taken advantage of. At least that is what I feel now. Maybe if it shows up, i will update this review. Either way, I feel like Etsy isn't concerned with customer concerns, not like Ebay or Amazon, to a point.

I recently used ETSY for the first time. I received very poor customer service from a seller and canceled the order. She was angry after I posted a negative comment that stated_ "poor customer service, canceled order: She responded with an extremely hostile public comment that included divulging my personal name - supposedly against ETSY feedback policy. I jut looked again on the site today and noted that my negative feedback comment was deleted! Now I know why all the sellers receive 100% positive customer ratings. I would never use this site again.

Etsy now takes 23% from 100% of my sales
I'm closing my store now, after 12 years.
Etsy silently poached my store and when it hit the $10,000 mark they began offloading the extra 12% from Every Stinkin' sale. It's illegal and they will pay.

Etsy Staff: forwarding same book of rules of Etsy for simple questions.
Etsy offsite advertisement: it is cheating with people because they don't show tracking if clicks on items advertised.
Etsy add: Out of 100$ Etsy get 80$ and you get only 20$. They excuse that they have no control on advertisement and sell.
I will suggest sell only cheap items of few dollars otherwise on Etsy without advertisement you will be in lost for sure. Divide the amount you want for sell price with 0.75 then list without any advertisement, if it will sell you will earn something because almost 25% will go to Etsy. If you do advertisement then divide it by 0.25 then list because Etsy will get 75% and you will get only 25 percent. Not kidding. This is my experience.

This site needs more restrictions. I bought clothing off Thaisaket several months back, they lied about shipping from the USA, I needed the clothing for a gift. I left a negative, The shop owner was rude and threatening about me taking it back. They accused me of not liking Asians. Etsy didn't seem to care after I complained to them. They said I had to work it out with the seller. I also ordered earrings, they were shipped from the same Thai address, I thought I was ordering from a different company, FakeGaugeOrganics, they fell apart in a few days. They wanted me to pay shipping to send me a replacement. Apparently, these people don't make anything, I found them on etsycallout several times. Their feedbacks indicate poor service and cheap merchandise. I have had ok buying experiences on Ebay, but etsy has been the worst. I quit buying there. It is supposed to be a site for artists, but I don't think so. Same stuff on Ebay.

Purchased a t-shirt from Michelle from The Little Joy Shop on August 4. Never received it. Learned on September 2 that the seller canceled the order because the shirt was no onger available. Seller has yet to refund my money via PayPal. Seller does not respond to my emails. Just escalated tus issue to a claim with PayPal. Still can't figure out why the shirt is no longer available? Custom embroidering machine break? White t-shirts (toddler size) no longer available? This experience has been more like the Little Shop of Horrors than of joy.

I paid for an item in the 7th November it was dispatched on the 21st and still not received it. I have sent various emails to them and they have ignored my messages. This present was for my daughters birthday.

I have had refund problems with two vendors. Etsy has not helped me in the least. They have either been evasive or not responded to my requests. I will quit shopping on Etsy I'll stick with Ebay.
Don't shop with Vintagehatsupplies or CoutureRadio.

I use to love Etsy I found the products unique recently there are many things for sale that you'd find on Amazon!

And on another not this whole defunding the police, having discrimination policies like picking black businesses to showcase it should be whatever products are unique etc should be showcased! I also sat and wondered why would a major company like Etsy that people look upto support defunding the police and then it came to me if there are no police neighborhoods will become empty, high street won't be safe, no one will go out and who benefits from that websites like Etsy!

I recently purchased some leather goods from Lockaloos Leather and I love each one. I purchased the I pad cover, key fob and mouse pad and they are so pretty. All the pieces I purchased are so well made, so soft and smell so good. I give this craftsman a 5 stars rating! I will surely purchase more items from Lockaloos Leather in the near future. Thank you!

I Open a shop on Etsy and sold 81 items in one Month and suddenly they shut down my shop without any further Notice or email. The Etsy Marketplace Integrity is sucks, I have more then 1800 listings live and paid them $ 360 as a listing fee. No response from Etsy.

I Think The Owner or Founder of Etsy feeding Their Children's from My money.

As a former seller on etsy, I am vehemently protesting their corporate decision to allow mass manufacturers on the site. Unbelievably, they have decided to change the definition of "independent handmade" to include items designed and put together in a far-away factory that has not been vetted for child labor/sweatshop conditions. There are other sites that support independent artisans and have some ethics -- BOYCOTT ETSY.

I ordered some items from a seller with a store on this free site for people selling crafts. The store name is Willow Zen and it is on etsy.com. I paid for my order with Paypal and never got the items I purchased. I contacted the seller and she said that she sent the items, but had no proof that she actually sent them. I told her that I never got the items and she refused to assist me at all. I had to file a dispute with Paypal and I am still waiting to be refunded the money totaling $188. I heard good things about etsy.com, so I'm sure that there are good, honest sellers on there, but I was ripped off. At least Paypal has buyer protection when things like this occur. I'm not sure if I will attempt to order from etsy.com again. The seller had a good rating, so I did not expect for the seller to be fraudulent. Buyers be very careful when ordering from this site!

Ordered shirt said 9 in stock. It was ordered on the 11th and marked shipped on the 12th. Still haven't recieved. This is the second and final time I will order. I'm guessing shirts weren't available they just say that and make them as you order. Shipping label is all that has been completed. Saying shipped is false. Label made immediately to look as if it shipped. When I called they blame usps for not updating.

I have not received my order, fallowed all the instructions (contacted the seller directly, waited a several days for the seller to respond, then contacted etsy customer service) and in the end was informed that the platform cant contact the seller and does not provide refunds.

So just keep your thingers crossed the seller is reliable!

Thiis whole site is garbage. The majority of stuff is made by wanna be hippy manufactures that claim Chinese made garbage as their own. As well the site is run like a joke. Stay away from this horrible market place... IT IS A JOKE!

I had a horrible experience with this company! I found an item I liked. It was what I was looking for and the price was great! It was only $10.00! When I received it in the mail, it didn't look anything like the picture or description! It said it was a Creamy color, but it was actually a sandy brown color! I contacted the seller to tell her about the issue and she said she would give me a full refund except for shipping. Normally that would be no problem, but then I had to pay the same shipping to return it. So I ended up paying $12.00 for a $10.00 item! This is rediculous! I will never use this company again and will tell everyone not to ever go through them!

Actualy they stole my money! I payed for a watch and I havent received nor the whatch, nor the my money. After a month when I asked them where is my object they explained me that its not their problem, the courier company lost my watch and they will look for my object! Its 2 months since, but I wont expect anymore, they are the thieves and I'll go to Police! Bad company!

Etsy is now full of copyrighted products, including Banksy designs. Its full of mass produced ítems that sellers claim as their own hand made ítems. Also Etsy were supposed to have banned animal skulls and rabbits hearts livers paws etc the site is full of these ítems. Shame on you Etsy youve basically sold out.

On October 6,2016, I placed an order #*******046 for black flip flops. Sara Bokan immediately emailed asking when I needed the order. I gave her the date. On October 25,2016, I receive an email from Sara telling me the black flip flops were out of stock and would I accept white. I accepted the white because the wedding date was so close. When the flip flops arrived, they were stuffed into a carton. Half of the size labels had fallen off and I expected a much nicer presentation because of the pictures shown on the selling site. I am very disappointed.

I recently purchased a dress from OriginatedDora. I must pass along how much I love the dress. The shipping time was impressive. I will most definitely be purchasing from this shop again. I did have email interaction with the shop owner and it was most helpful and pleasant. I HIGHLY recommend this shop.
