I could seriously spend hours browsing all the cool handmade and vintage items on Etsy. I can't speak from the seller's perspective, but as a buyer, your experience all depends on whether you order from an honest and professional seller. So far, I've only had one bad experience, which involved an unresponsive seller and an undelivered item. I opened a case, and Etsy's customer service gave me a full refund within a week.

Ordered a product from LeArtPrint on 12/30. On 1/25 I received an email inviting me to review the product. Since I didn't receive the order, I gave a 1-star rating. Seller sent me nasty emails telling me I "needed to change the review." I asked for a refund. No response.
Contacted customer service and was told I had to keep asking/communicating with the seller and "hopefully, seller will grant me a refund." No offer to contact the seller; no consequences. Customer service said, "sellers set their own policies/rules" and we can't process a refund. So, basically, sellers have no consequences, can do what they want. I'm worried now because this guy has my credit card info. I've ordered from Etsy in the past and have been very happy. But this ordeal takes Etsy completely off the table as a legit site. No more Etsy. I'll stick with Ebay and Amazon. I don't trust Ebay.

I've purchased from well over 30 different sellers for different products, such as clothing, jewelry, tarot etc. And the transactions have always been safe. Whenever I have stumbled a scammer-type shop (as there are some bad cookies out there!) I do notify etsy support about it and they have replied with a cancellation of the order within 72 hours. There are so many unique sellers on etsy that I have to say you have to give it a shot!

I have been attempting for six consecutive months to contact the seller who has never shipped my order worth thousands of dollars, and despite the fact that I have sought Etsy's assistance for this issue, they responded weekly and sided with the scammer seller. The seller insulted me right in front of them and they did not react at all. If you value your own money and do not have any to waste, please do not feed them to scammers on this website.

Got banned as buyer and seller, they suddenly banned me without any specific reason and tell me not to open new account again, i just want to sell and buy custom request stuff, my last order suddenly got canceled without any notice, good site with terrible AI and customer service, so proud of themselves, they don't need buyers nor sellers

Loved what I saw when I went on here to get a gift for my husband. But then when it took literally forever to arrive, my tune changed. It was almost a month before the person shipped their light saber holder for the wall. It was supposed to be a gift for his birthday. Had to get a small gift so he would have something to open while we waited.

Etsy has a lot of shady products. They make it even easier for the customers to be ripped off, because there is a time limit on how long you can write a review on a product you've already purchased. They have a lot of bad customer service and it's fairly inaccessible.

I only purchase from this website when I come across something I really want to buy, e.g. book merchandise (I'm a bookworm). I've had about three experiences with different sellers. The first 2 sellers were polite and helpful, and my items arrived as promised. The last seller I dealt with, was quite abrupt (he replied curtly and I felt annoyed with him) and I felt quite uneasy about making a purchase from him so I backed out of the deal as politely as I could.

Given the fact that this is a marketplace, I would say that not all sellers are bad. But there are plenty of scammers around too. You should be extremely careful about who you purchase from.

I was a seller, up until they instituted star ratings, released my buyers' information publicly, and decided to try to kill all payment options with the exception of DC.

I'm not a seller now. I moved on to a much, MUCH greener pasture--I built my own site from scratch. Namaste, Etsy.

I placed an order on April 22. Said it was shipped out same day. Never received & contacted again said she sent another out. It is May 16 still not received anything tried to message about getting my money back & I have not heard one word from her! Will NEVER use Etsy again!

I've purchased from Etsy Canada many times and feel they are very concerned about the quality of there products and customer service.

I had one item which didn't fit and when I contacted them, I had a refund within 2 days.

This is a very reputable company with fantastic service.

I would highly recommend them.

I ordered engraved pocket watches for my son's wedding. He will be keeping one and giving the others to his stepsons. I am so pleased with the workmanship, as well as, the price. They will make perfect keepsakes for all three gentlemen. They were completed and shipped very quickly. Thank you for excellent work!

I left Etsy because of their horrible treatment of sellers and it has continued to get worse since then. I refuse to shop there. They are allowing (not just ignoring, but outright allowing since the beginning of the year) factory made items to be listed as handmade, which is nothing short of a scam. There's other sites where I KNOW what I am buying is truly handmade and I stick to those.

I am highly upset with this company. I ordered 2 necklaces for my two granddaughters on November 30,2021. I am on a fixed income and this was what I spent my money on for their Christmas gifts. I have not received the items that were supposed to arrive not later that December 16. It says the package is in Niagara Falls NY since Dec. 9. I feel like this is a scam company that takes peoples money. Now I have nothing to give my granddaughters for Christmas, do you know horrible I feel...
Never buy anything from a company that does not produce the items or make contact with you.

I bought a shirt and it said it was sending forever. It's been months and the tracking number doesn't work and I don't even know how to get my money back you're better off buying on wish. The good reviews are Probably fake reviews.

I have three orders placed with Etsy for three different face masks from three different suppliers. I ordered them all on 4/4 and was under the impression when I placed my order that all items were in stock and would ship right out. Two of the three have not shipped yet and the one that did ship still has not arrived. The supplier has given me two delivery dates, both which have come and gone. I seriously doubt that I will ever order from this company again and I'm glad I used PayPal because I can see me asking for my money back down the road.

I bought four shirts with Dodge Ram emblems the emblems were stamped on which means a couple washing it'll come right off cheaply made. Wanted to return them they have no type of return policy no return label nothing horrible company to deal with

If your looking for handmade items its great.
If your a seller then its ok, ok in the terms thats listing is cheap, but the site has little traffic, so your not going to sell a whole lot unless you have been on a while or have MANY things listed, i admire those people who sell more than 5 items a day.

I ordered a blanket from a woman named Shelly, as a gift for my grandmother. I explained that the writing to be placed on it was her Korean name and put what I wanted the blanket to say in quotes. She then sent me a blanket misprinted and refused to fix the issue, saying because I had asked for "alternating upper and lower case letters" she went ahead and alternated all letters. No normally functioning adult would order a blanket with letters typed that way, let alone my grandmother! When I opened a case with Etsy, they closed it saying she was right. I am completely appalled and offended.

Beware! Etsy will close your account even when you are making good sales and they never disclosure reason. All earnings will be lost and purchases will become untraceable.
Don't go to such places if you are serious buyer or seller.

I ordered an article and payed through my bank. Then nothing happened. The article was still in my cart, although my money had disappeared. Etsy is not interested: take it up with the seller. What seller as I apparently never bought anything? And the shop wants to see the confirmation email. What email as I never bought anything, remember? So I lost 60 euro's and nobody takes responsibility. NEVER BUY HERE!

The past two orders I have made from Etsy have been marked as delivered and said they were left on the front porch, but never arrived. I've had to pull teeth to get through and get things settled to either get a replacement or refund. Just be aware that your order may or may not arrive and you might have to jump through hoops to get your money worth/back.

I'm a top seller on etsy and there is still no seller protection! I have shipped a watch worth over $3000 which was successfully delivered and signed. I have a proof of it! Still Etsy fully refunded the buyer! Don't sell on Etsy over $250 items as you have 0 protection they will just take your money!
