📢 Attention, Etsy Community and Support Team! My Etsy shop, NecklaceAura, was permanently banned right at the beginning of my journey with no explanation provided. To make matters worse, I was scammed as a seller on my very first day on the Etsy platform (Issue ID: #16571142). As a passionate and dedicated creator, I am deeply disappointed and seeking clarity on this decision. I kindly ask Etsy to review my case, unblock my store, and provide a transparent explanation. “If you're thinking about opening a shop on Etsy, don't even bother!”

I tried setting one up, and it was instantly and permanently shut down by Etsy without so much as a hint of explanation. There weren't even any listings on the store—literally, all I did was create a profile picture. I appealed the closure, and guess what? Denied. No reason, no transparency, nothing. Now I can't sell or buy anything on my account, and if I try to set up a new one, that'll be blocked too. And to top it all off? Their denial of the appeal is permanent—no second chances, no reconsideration. Ridiculous.

Without any notifications they suspended my account. They ask my id and i send them but later they make other excuses that your items are not eligible to sell on etsy. I was selling hair pins, and handmade bracelets dont understand whats wrong in that... they suspended my account as well as hold my money. RUBBISH RUBBISH RUBBISH

This is the first time I ever encountered this problem! I bought an item from VACHETA on etsy but I did not recieve my item! There were a few 5 stars reviews so I thought it was a good seller. At least that's what I thought! At the time my order was supposed to arrive, it didn't! I was a bit confused, thinking there might be a delay in immigrations or customs. The next day, I went on the VACHETA shop and looked at the reviews. And LO AND BEHOLD! The item I bought is reviewed on the day it supposed to arrive! I'm also not Korean! But the last few words are in korean. I did not review the item as I was the only one that knows I bought the item. I'm very furious and filed a report to etsy. Hope they can respond soon.

Shop owner of BGCRAFTCREATIONS was NOT specific on items she was selling! I bought the items believing that they were crochet patterns. She sold 4 stickers for almost $6.00. She replied to me She can't afford to refund my money! I'm on a limited income and she can't afford to return my money but she can STEAL from a customer without hesitation!

Tip for consumers:
Don't purchase from BGCRAFTCREATIONS on Etsy.
I am opening a case to see if I can get a refund.

Products used:
I thought it was crochet patterns and it turned out to be 4 stickers.

Transaction fees, payment processing fees and listing fees... plus I received notification that transaction fees are being increased again to 5% making total seller fees 8.5% (plus listing fees) of your total price. And that's just the minimum. Etsy now has a tiered service plan for sellers who can buy up to receive additional services.

Etsy even charges a 5% fee on sellers' shipping services, making it impossible to keep shipping costs low. I used to charge only the actual postal rate to my customers, but now that Etsy has decided to take a cut I had to raise my shipping rates. It's really hard to compete with the box stores when you're being nickel and dime to death.

I'm a small business owner with high overhead and it's just not worth paying their cut, when I can use my website (3% payment processing built in) and social media avenues (which are free).

I closed my Etsy shop as soon as they notified me that they were raising their rates again. Not worth it as a seller in my opinion.

I'd have given a 1-star review save for my fantastic experience as a buyer. So... 2 stars!

Ordered a tshirt in December 2015 from MiaBows / April Brewer, for my grandsons birthday in February, here it is the weekend of his party and she has never confirmed my order, replied to an email around middle of January with an excuse and has not had the courtesy to reply or follow up again so now I'm out a shirt and $30.00 and this was my first and last Etsy order.

My shop was suspended without any warning or preliminary messages. But guess what? It happened right after I received a few orders. The orders were delivered in a very timely manner, and the buyers were happy. My shop was suspended, but there were a bunch of other shops, selling the same product, claiming to have the same effect, for way longer than me. I feel discriminated against. And it is not fair - why my shop? How is my shop different from all the others that are selling the same product? Etsy "integrity team" - does that mean that they consider me a liar? - haven't given me a chance to present my corrected listing. After multiple emails, going back and forth they told me that I cannot sell here and neither should I try to create a new shop. I am appalled! I have never encountered such lack of customer service! Sellers stay away from Etsy.com. You will be treated unfairly, you will be discriminated against, they will allow other sellers gang up on you, and take out the competition, and the worst part - Etsy will support the coup. Stay away and save yourself a headache. STAY AWAY from this site, it's lacking customer service, integrity.

Etsy is a HORRIBLE company. I purchased a hat from them 2 mos ago which was never delivered. They will not respond, there "phone numbers" end in robots telling you that they do not accept calls, and they want to charge YOU to ask a customer service bot a question. They told me that i have to contact their seller in GREECE to find out what happened to my purchase, but they will give me no info on how to do that. They have kept my money- i have no product. DO NOT ORDER THROUGH ETSY- you will be sorry. There is no recourse for any problems.

My Etsy shop was closed after a week because I was reselling items. I chose Etsy because most of the shoppers are women and I sell beauty products. It was actually doing very well in I made $150 in a week. Nonetheless after I received the email I understood I violated the guidelines. This is my complaint... when they shut you down they still expect you to fulfill orders but the snatch everything from you. I could not print out receipts for the customer or my file, and I was happy I had extra money so I could ship the items out. Everything is literally gone so you better back up as you go. I think maybe they should look into blocking store sells but still allowing you to finish orders like normal. Also I'm actually happy it was closed after reading so many awful reviews about fake feedback. I just received a 1 star and granted my shop is closed but still I don't want an unhappy customer. So I went to review the order and he stated the item ripped. The best part about that feedback was the item hasn't even been delivered yet. I smell a scam about to happen and I'm just waiting for that refund email. I have already screenshot the feedback and USPS tracking. At least with places like Ebay you can't leave feedback until after the estimated delivery date. First off the item hasn't been delivered and the item will be delivered 4 days before estimated. I don't know Etsy just seems a little shady and honestly I'd recommend people going elsewhere.

I purchased baby shower favors August 30th, 2019 for a planned shower the order was never delivered and I have not received the $84.00 refund. The Etsy vendor was Irina Angelkova MOD FAVORS- order # *******525. I have call *******955--to receive a message not a monitored phone message. Additionally I emailed thru the help site without any support from Etsy.

Etsy is checking every account in a household. My daughter had a shop on etsy and she was doing some business and making money so other Family members decided to open their shops on etsy too to sell similar items. So etsy suspended all the accounts saying you can't have more than one account because it overlaps the information. We sell printed t-shirts from home so our address is same IP address is same because we use each other's computers and printer so when Etsy asked to shut down all the accounts and keep only one, they created a problem in family relation. No one wanted to close the account because everyone love to create, sell and make money. Now my wife and daughter are mad with me because i am asking them to close their shops. I am the one who invested the money on most of the items. And do most of the work. Each of us was doing one job like one was taking care of all the orders from everyone's shop and save them in their folders and printing the labels, and using one paypal account for payments, other was doing the printing and designing and the third was buying the supplies and going to post office for shipping. I don't know what to do. We have invested a lot of money and sold a lot of shirts. Accounts are still suspended. And there is no other way to take care of this problem. If anyone knows the solution please reply.

Recentely I purchased a hand made doll crafted by artist, Gioconda Pieracci. The purchase came through Esty, and the transaction was very easy. Gioconda couldn't have been a nicer lady, and appreciated my purchase, and my admiration of her artistry. My little doll is beautiful. She is the queen with the Lamb. This doll is so special and lovely in her appearance, that I plan on purchasing another as soon as I can. Hopefully the bride. Sarah Stone.

1. Zero support for sellers. No one to speak to by phone. There is a seller handbook which focuses on customers, not sellers.
2.No transparency or clarity re the complaints process for sellers against Etsy. The only information available refers to customer seller dispute resolution.Is the absence of a clear complaints process for sellers even legal?
3. Inexplicable, extortionate fees taken by Etsy for listing, renewal, sales, VAT and taxes at the point of sale even though I was not VAT registered. Etsy not only take a cut for sales but even for shipping when this has nothing to do with Etsy. Sellers challenged the latter but they still introduced it due to corporate greed.
4. Etsy recently demanded that sellers offer free shipping to the US for orders over £25 otherwise they would not promote the sellers shop. This has put smaller shops out of business as they could no longer afford to trade and has immediately increased prices for customers.Not only has this lead to sellers leaving but they must have lost a large chunk of the market.An example of corporate bullying as well as being illogical and possibly illegal.

I've ordered from Etsy twice, and both times have been awful.
Delivery: The first item was promised delivery within 10 days. I received a shipping confirmation email on day 3. After a week and no receipt, I logged in to check order status. It was never actually shipped... the shipper had record of the tracking number but had never actually received the package for shipping. I contacted the seller and Etsy... requested order cancellation. Got an email from Etsy that it appeared my issue had been resolved. Nope, instead of cancellation, the seller FINALLY shipped the item more than 3 weeks after placing the order. The second order had similar issues, only this time after about 5 weeks I got an email from Etsy saying they know it's frustrating to not get something you've ordered and gave a $10 coupon good for 2 weeks. I never received the item ordered nor any other communication that the order would not be filled. No refund either. So after all that I landed with no ordered item, no refund, and a coupon for half what I had paid and only good for a short time.
Oh... and for one of the orders, there was no notification that the seller was a foreign seller so I also wound up with an unexpected charge from my bank for a foreign transaction. Will NEVER shop on Etsy again

They don't vet their sellers at all and will advertise anyone. Beware of the endless scammers and useless customer service reps- SHOUTOUT TO TYLIE! If you want to be disappointed and ripped off then etsy is the place for you! So excited to sit around for the next 3 hours and wait for this alleged supervisor call back. I have been a seller and patron on this site for YEARS and never again will I give them 1 cent.

I ordered 2 cell phone cases from seller Dealokshop on Etsy and only received one of the cases I ordered. The seller would not respond to 3 emails I sent (allowing for 48 hrs in between for seller to respond) until Etsy got involved. Unfortunately, Etsy blew me off about this issue as the seller had proof of delivery BUT there was only one item of the two I ordered AND PAID FOR in that delivery. After pointing that out to Etsy, both seller and Etsy will not return my communication.
I have used Etsy before with satisfaction but you only know how good a service really is when you have a problem and etsy failed there.
Btw: The case I did receive was beautiful.

Don't buy from SWEET DIAPER CAKES the product you will receive is POOR the presentation EMBARRASSING this seller should be a shame of the poor work put into their gifts. And want to talk about price GOUGING this shop definitely dose that if you want to throw money away, then buy from this shop. If you want a great quality gift with nice presentation and worth your money DO NOT I SAY DO NOT buy from this shop! Beware of SWEET DIAPER CAKES the images of gifts in sellers shop are ok the product you will receive are more hideous then the photos. I actually bought from this seller because I felt sorry for this seller as I seen seller doesn't sell to often I SEE WHY. My own fault for trying to be nice..

I am beyond frustrated with Etsy's customer support and the way they've handled my store ban. It's been an incredibly disappointing experience.

Etsy has inexplicably withheld my hard-earned funds, leaving me unable to access them when I need them the most. What's even more disheartening is that I am currently battling illness, and these funds are crucial for my medical expenses and daily needs. It's incredibly frustrating that Etsy's lack of responsiveness is compounding the challenges I'm already facing during this difficult time.

I've been a loyal and honest seller on Etsy, ensuring that I fulfill all my orders and provide excellent service to my customers. However, my store was banned in what seems like a careless mistake on Etsy's part. I've tried reaching out to them multiple times, but they haven't bothered to respond. This lack of communication is unacceptable.

What's worse is that I've noticed many other sellers going through the same ordeal. Etsy is banning accounts without clear reasons, leaving sellers without access to their hard-earned money. It's a real slap in the face.

If Etsy thinks it's okay to treat its sellers this way, then fine. But I won't stay silent about it. I'll make sure to spread the word and warn others about the risks of using this platform.

Etsy, you seriously need to step up your game when it comes to customer support and fairness. This experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth, and I wouldn't recommend Etsy to anyone at this point.

I am a seller on Etsy for 6 years and I find it challenging and fun for the most part. My shop has many different vintage items for sale. I love the diversity of having a curiosity shop online with shelves I keep well stocked and shelves I don't have to dust.
I advise buyers to be curious and ask the seller questions.
A good seller will answer them honestly and promptly.
I advise the buyer to look at the reviews before making a purchase.
I also advise the buyer should read the whole sellers comments. The section of shop policy is very important in that the seller will alert buyers of the "rules" like refunds or "all sales final" etc.
Most sellers will not refund the shipping as the shipping services don't either, ie, FedEx, USPS, UPS.
Why should a seller pay to take back an item if the seller wants to return it? Unless it was sold and was "not as described", then the seller should pay for shipping.
I have had many contacts with the staff at Etsy, and they always get back to me promptly and always try their best to resolve any problem or issue I may ask about.
They go to great lengths to make suggestions or to explain a policy or steps that should be taken next to correct the problem.
I like Etsy, and I am glad and proud to be a merchant there.

This business has a lot of one of a kind custom made merchandise. They custom make clocks, banners, bicycle flags for the handlebars, puzzles and more.

ZERO STARS ACTUALLY. Bought two items from ETSY website using two different credit cards. Within weeks of buying the items BOTH CREDIT CARDS HAD FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY ON THEM! STAY AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE! After reading reviews now, it looks like people order items and never receive them. Wish I would have read these reviews before placing my order on this website.

I used hate ebay. Like etsy. Until 1 seller. Wouldn't refund my money.the dishes was chipped. She didn't write it in the description. She a bad seller.at least ebay give you your money back.
