Eventbrite service fees are expensive. Over 16% in service fees. It takes to long to receive your funds, (2 weeks), The service charges are not clear up front. I would not recommend. My event took in $480 for a small dinner. Eventbrite kept $80.00 of that.
THIEVES! DO NOT by any tickets or anything else associated with this business! They will not refund any money no matter the circumstances. They even screw the promoters that hired them. Federal charges should be filed against this business and the people behind this thieving scam!
This company is a complete joke! They are nothing but a bunch of con artists. There's no customer service, you might as well forget about a refund from them. They send the same generic email when requesting a refund. It says I can't get my refund because it doesn't fall under the correct criteria, it gives a list of what must happen before you can get a refund and EVERY SINGLE THING listed I fall under. Eventbrite word of mouth goes a long way and I'm letting the people know how big of a rip off you truly are! Scumbags!
We used Eventbrite for an event in 2016. When it came to payment, weeks went by. We phoned every number listed, only to be disconnected or led back to their webpage. It took contacting our legal department before Eventbrite relinquished our payment. I ask, how can a company of this size be permitted to operate strictly via e-mail? When or if you have an issue, it cannot be addressed but by e-mail, if they respond at all. Very, very poor service. (Now we did receive payment, but it took a month)
My family members (who were visiting from out of town) and myself purchased 4 tickets for general admission of 9 pm- 2 am open bar at the Penthouse at Hotel on Rivington NYE 2018 event. We arrived at 11 pm and were delayed admission due to coat check issues and then were later informed that the event was overbooked and were at capacity and denied admission. We waited for almost 2 hours and brought in the new year in the hotel lobby after spending almost $700. They were several others that were turned away from this event as well. I am beyond disappointed in the professionalism of those hosting the event and they refuse to refund us despite their mistake.
I purchased a ticket for the Will Downing Concert in Malibu. Will Downing never showed. The condition of the area that we were in were unacceptable. Gravel parking lot is where the concert was. I would like a refund of my money. No explanation was given why he wasn't performing. The person announced they are kicking us out of here.
Tickets bought 2 months in advance for an event advertised as being staged at a prestigious venue in the UK. 2 days before "event" was to take place, the venue had been changed to... now wait for it... a warehouse behind a tattoo parlour in Liverpool docks... TRULY I KID YOU NOT! It then became apparent when I attempted to get a refund that the "organisers" (shysters) had NO contact details and operated by mobile phones, and could eventbrite care less? No of course they couldn't they're happy to get their cut from the proceedings. Currently in the process of recouping the cash via the bank. On the left In the photo below is the initially advertised venue... and on the right was the venue changed to 2 days before the event... And Eventbrite are happy to host these "organisers" repeatedly.
I purchased a ticket for an event on the same day. I never got any link and was told to contact the person who organized the event. No one contacted me from the event after three tries. I have no outlet for getting my money back and cannot even complain to eventbrite that the entire thing was probably a scam. Don't they screen for these things? I wouldn't waste my time trusting any of their other events!
I am the benefactor to a fundraiser and I am still waiting on my money. If GoFundMe can give you the money faster then there is something wrong. They hold you money forever to draw interest. So if the person or entity you are doing this for needs their money use someone else.
Organizing a large event and collecting money for it in advance is a challenging task and using eventbrite can make things go much more smoothly. They can help organizers collect money in advance as well as promote the event for you. Definitely a useful website and easier than selling tickets on your own.
Answer: The organizer is no longer available when you send it
