My nonprofit org has created over 400 events on Eventbrite and we love the incredible power of this site. We've even created bots with their great API to integrate registration data with other systems. Love it!
I hope Eventbrite goes to hell They swallowed my tickets. I bought tickets, have receipt, they won't display. I'll proceed to make their life a living hell.
1) pricing - unflexible and terrible in most countries for events with low cost ticket - having to pay 30% off my event (price of event - 5 Eur, taxes - 1.54) just for their integration with terrible support is NOT FAIR PRICE
2) support - with their text guidelines without videos/ images there are a lot of questions that arises and no easy and free option for getting answers to that specific questions, even with Revolut I get better support

Was attending an event. Was told cancelled. Found out it was a lie, and cancelled imposing on the right under the constitution of America of citizen to gather for peace protest.
We arrived at 8pm to Paramount Studios with tickets for a Food Bowl that cost $200 apiece and it was awful! The line to get in was over a block long and we waited a half hour before we eventually passed through the main gate. We walked at least a quarter to a half mile past vast amounts of security to find an overcrowded venue inside the studio. We spoke with others as we waited in more long lines for food. Some said they paid $60 less than we had because Eventbrite took $60 off the original price of the ticket in order to sell more tickets a week before the event. The result was an overcrowded throng that had barely enough room to squeeze past from one food vendor to the next. The lines for each food vendor were so long that you had to wait about 20 minutes for a single tiny teaspoon size scrap of food. And the lines for booze were twice that long! They gave us tastes of champagne in little tablespoon. 05 oz pill cups! I would only expect crowds like this all squeezed together at Disneyland on the Fourth of July. The only thing that kept us there was the $200 ticket price that we would have gladly traded in for a refund had we known what we were in store for that night. Everyone we spoke with there told us it was their first time to the event and they weren't likely to do it again under the circumstances. It was a total rip off. Eventbrite should be required to refund all those they scammed. I will never trust them again. GREEDY!
Eventbrite consistently denies me access to events in which I have registered and for which I have paid.
Frustrating and stressful!
One star is too many.
We booked a 4th of July cruise in NYC. It was called the "Cabana Yacht family cruise" Where to begin... When we got on the boat, all seats were taken, They only had enough seats for 1/2 of the people on the boat. The food was supposed to be chicken or fish, it was pork, oh and no salad dressing for the salad at all. It was served in a Styrofoam take out container, Which we had to eat standing up! The "Dance" floor was so sticky that when you walked on it it actually came up with your shoe. The Womens restroom was plugged and unusable. This was a fireworks tour, so the boat had a full top on it with one very small area at the rear that was open which held about 1/2 of the people onboard, the rest of us just got glimpses of the fireworks show. Drinks were served very heavy and most people who were drinking were very over-served. I am contacted both the organizer and the people who own the boat and they refuse to give any kind of discount. I am really disappointed in this whole fiasco, this was my highlight for NYC. I am disputing with my credit card company, they sold us on cruising around to see Statue of liberty and choice of fish or chicken and most importantly, watching the fireworks from the boat, I didnt get to see them except when the boat floated sideways a little and I could see them from the side. It was a VERY dirty dingy boat. Not worth $230.00 per person. I will NEVER use this company again. I went to see fireworks and didnt get to see them.
Tip for consumers:
Just don't even bother with this fraudulent company

I have been left with a feeling of being raped out of my money $322+ just a totally feeling of being violated and left without a sense of being me. After months of being ignored and constantly reaching out sending emails only to get nothing. After I wanted to attend Boosie Bash for my birthday in March. Which was canceled by the governor of Louisiana rescheduled for April 18 2020 then postponed until on God only knows when now. But, I purchase my 2 Vip tickets in February and it's now June and I'm still left to pay a bill and I have nothing in return for my $322+ dollars. On top of that we the working people going through this COVID-19 pandemic now I gotta get up early in the morning only to go file for unemployment because of COVID-19. Is affecting everything and everyone in America right now and for eventbrite just to keep our hard working dollars is nothing more than a Dishonorable!
I ordered a ticket for a show.
Cancelled it, and ordered a ticket for a later show.
Of course I was billed for both.
I will never use these guys again.
Never.
I thought I would get CEU's for a program - healthcare - and found out I wouldn't. I signed up beginning of June, event is in October, have sent several emails and always told need to get in touch with organizer. I
WOULD IF I COULD REACH THE ORGANIZER but all you do is go round and round on their site!
DON'T SIGN UP for ANYTHING Eventbrite have!\
Ticket price misrepresented and ticket transaction charges are misrepresented.
Event Brite advertised 36 for a ticket and then charged 80 for same ticket.
I see now from the many online reviews that Eventbrite is known for hosting scam events and not refunding their customers when notified. Often showcasing negligent behavior. Avoid at all costs.
Requested a refund for a bar crawl tomorrow because you know... Coronavirus... that one thing that cause a "state of emergency" and cancellation of "unnecessary mass gatherings". I think this falls under that category. Well while other sporting events (yes major money making sporting events and not a dumb $#*! bar crawl) are refunding ticket purchasers, eventbrite has decided to let the bar crawl go on. Cause the world would obviously end if we didn't black out on St. Patrick's day every year. Long story short, bought tickets for me and my fiancé before this virus started to become a problem and now I want a refund because my fiancé is diabetic and needs to take this more seriously than most others in their mid 20s. We also live together so if I get it, she's getting it too. Explained everything to the worst customer service department on earth and they won't give me my money back. Seems like a simple common sense thing to do in a time like this but this place doesn't seem to have much of that.
A complete joke. They overbooked the location and there was no VIP section that people paid extra money for and when doors were supposed to open at 5pm, at 630pm we are still outside waiting in the freezing cold, elderly people with cans wheelchairs disabled. No assistance. I will never purchase tickets here again or for the Stockton Memorial Civic Center. One BIG Line wrapped around the building We did not see anyone perform I want my money back. Please DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY! Furious Wish I could give a negative star!
Would give no stars if I could
Purchased tickets for UTSS concert bribie island
Promised a refund due to cancellations change of venues and lineups then was declined my refund after rescheduled concert went ahead in Caloundra.

Totally ripped off
Tip for consumers:
Don’t buy from one world entertainment or eventbrite

No way to refund

To Whom It May Concern: Would someone from Eventbrite kindly respond to our numerous attempts from Saturday, 6/17/17 to today, 6/20/17, to UNBLOCK/OPEN our account so we may EDIT our event? It appears that our account has been blocked for some unforeseen reason and we have absolutely no clue why this is happening because there has only been one response from a Customer Support person who did not understand our request at the time and did not follow up so we may get an understanding or so this may be resolved sooner. Sometimes that happens from the best person, we get that, but for no one else at Eventbrite to not follow up or not reach out again to see if we can at least EDIT our event is not the way to excellent Customer Support. We then finally ran across the *******531 number & spoke with Chelsie yesterday, 6/19/17, around 4:53 pm in Sales to let her know what we have been experiencing so she would report this matter to the appropriate department/person. So far, no response. Honestly speaking, it's been a nightmare and once again we do not understand why because we used Eventbrite before and did not have a problem. Finally, if that hasnt been enough, we print screened a message that says, You currently dont have any debit or credit cards saved which is incorrect. We included this information with our account for the event! We also have an email stating that our event was published live, but now there's no show of it which supports our statement that our account has been blocked for some unforeseen reason. Thank you for your immediate response.
Purchased thru Eventbrite, 4 $30 tix for the Easter Kids Party Cruise Hosted By The Easter Bunny(Cesar Cabrera Entertainment) Sat March 31st & Sun April 1st. My family and I attended the 3/31/18,5:45 event. We arrived on line at exactly 5:45 and did not start boarding till 7:00 pm. We were initially told we would be boarding at 6 pm. It was very upsetting to have to wait on line with two restless toddlers for an hour and 15 minutes. There was no communication regarding the delay and it was extremely chilly outside. All the parents and their children were complaining how cold it was and how long it was taking to get on the boat. When we finally made it on the boat, we quickly learned there was not enough seating for all the patrons. How can you offer food on a boat with kids and not have enough seats. Are we suppose to stand for 3 hours with food and our children!?! After deciding that I was not going to stay on the boat, I decided to use the restroom before we left. The rest room was filthy. Not sanitary at all especially for kids! Apparently no one cleaned from the prior group of patrons on the boat. Lastly, due to the location of the marina there was only one place to park. From 5:40 pm -7:30 pm I was charged $30, $150 later no Easter bunny pic, no magic show, no face painting. Just disappointed kids and exasperated parents.
I tried purchasing 6 tickets online for a NYE party and was having issues with my card going through a couple of times. I finally gave up and decided to try it again later that day with a different card. The transaction went through. I decided to sign up for their app so I could have all the tickets together. Come to find out that I now had 12 tickets in there and that one of my other tries did go through! I emailed them right away after finding out I now owned double the tickets and was double charged. They tell me because the transactions are hours apart and that the venue put it down as a strict no return policy they wouldn't refund my tickets! I then called the venue to see if they could help me out with this. They told me they couldn't do anything because Eventbrite is the 3rd party they go through and it's up to them to refund me and that they don't even see the money until a week after the event is done. There was nothing they could do either. So now I am stuck with 6 extra tickets that I can't do anything with. Eventbrite's response was just sell them to others! How in the world am I going to find 6 people to sell these tickets to when it costs the same online plus your fee! I emailed Eventbrite back and never got a damn answer in return. Worst customer service I've ever encountered. Stay away!
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from them! They won’t help you out. Worst customer service!

(If there was a zero rating, I'd use it)... This 'venting' is bc I cannot complain directly to this FRAUDULENT FIRM; they hv an intrusive email form that asks for details I'd not divulge online. Neither can I complain to my credit card (CC) firm, bc it is not their concern to try to investigate fraudulent firms. If you're unaware, this firm's business is to collect entrance fees for events, on behalf of firms, restaurants, venues, etc. This msg informs anyone concerned that a second incident of a fraudulent use of my CC has been made by this firm. The first incident occurred 2 years ago, in which 2 charges for events were charged to my CC; these charges specified 'Eventbrite' as the firm making the charges, and occurred shortly after I made one charge, for an event. My CC firm investigated my complaints, and these charges were removed from my account. In the present case, a fraudulent charge was made more than 1 month after I made one charge, for an event. This fraudulent charge specified '... ACT. Dallas', which strongly suggests that 'Eventbrite' is the culprit, again - I firmly believe that this firm is the culprit, bc all charges so far hv been to stores of which I frequent, and hv not incurred fraudulent activities. I've contacted my CC firm, and they are investigating my assertion of this fraudulent use. Therefore, a warning: If you use this firm, carefully examine your CC statements for some time after making a purchase: You may be a victim of fraudulent activity.
This is now 2016 almost every company now a days does have live customer service, but nooooo not event brite u get the run around, hung up on by automated serv. So now that i need a refund that they are telling me i'm owed cant find no status etc on this refund if you email them they send this stupid universal email that didn't answer my questions and it tells you if you need more help respond to the email but no answer now smh. I have to now go through my pay pal account to get my refund but that's going to take longer now, mind you the event i was going to was on new years eve and its now the 13th of jan to try and get this all iron out and lastly. Event brite tells you to go to the event planner to resolve this issue but they need to realize that if your not dealing with a real company just a jo smo they might not be professional to care about a refund like the guy i'm dealing with. So they need to put plans in place to protect the buyer like pay pal, i have all emails and text from the event guy that seems to me at times he gets to personal when this is a business transaction that he never followed through with. It seems also he had to refund numerous people and he is loosing out which is not my problem and he should go back to his day job cause this is not his meal ticket.
Sincerely,
No real service but money taken from this honest
Buyer looking for a good time.
Don't go to any concert put on by Eventbrite! The lady was so rude to me about my already overpriced tickets.
On the website they say NO Refunds, so buyer beware, They will refund if they cancel the event, so what they do is Just not cancel, The event I paid for was The Lights at Mesquite, I paid $85 for tickets in February, the event was on May 2nd.
I tried to contact them in April to see if the event was cancelled due to Corona Virus, Nothing, no information. Sent numerous emails, No reply.
So called pay-pal. They tell me because the event was not officially cancelled I cannot get a refund. The event just Did not happen, This is a way of scamming all those people out of their money, and pay-pal are giving me Zero help to get my money back.In their rules there has to be specific cancellation message for a refund to be issued, So they just didn't cancel officially, it just did not happen. SCAM SCAM SCAM. A company with Zero integrity, Don't go near Event brite again.
Eventbrite nothing but scam artist/purchased 6pack tickets 314.36tailgate&tallboys Peoria, il went 4pm-7pm special performances /couldn't get in tell7pm said 4 was canceled! Waited tell 7pm 95 degree weather sat down behind fence said vip 6pack allowed but couldn't take our chairs have stand set on muddy ground, stayed behind fence people surround fence completely blocking any view of venue, then rapper came out supposed been country.we left/sept 14 alabama diamond Reo, mason Ramsey/others completely cancel civic centre, offer no REFUNDS /frauding people of services they promised
This post is in regards to NYE (Jan 2018). We had bought 8 tickets for after 12:30 admission to the penthouse on hotel rivington (~$600 total) from a website "eventBrite" whom were one of the primary companies selling tickets to this event. Once our party gets to the door as well as many other ticket holders, we were all turned away by a bouncer who was guarding the main event stating that the "event has been overbooked and that no one else is able to get in", we were simply just given the option of going to the hotel bar which was NOT what we had all paid for. We have now went through numerous inconveniences in trying to obtain our refund -- contacting eventbrite directly, contacting the hotel, and contacting our credit card company. Eventbrite has stated as a response to our email that there was someone from their company at the door and that the event was open letting people in -- NOT TRUE. The hotel itself has not been helpful either at this moment for which they should be responsible in telling these companies promoting their venue and event to avoid overbooking to prevent issues like this. After speaking to other customers we have found out that people were being turned away as early as 11PM (even before NYE midnight!). There are many other individuals who are experiencing the same issue -- and it is only fair that we get the full refund as we were not even able to enter what we had paid for. Our tickets still remain "unscannable" as proof. Uber rides to the venue also as proof of us being there. This is a scam and totally unprofessional.
I ORDERED TICKETS FOR AN UPCOMING SHOW. LEFT THE TICKETS ON THE APP. NPW THE APP DISSAPEARED AND THERE IS NOW WAY TO TRACK THE PURCHASE. IT BLOCKS BY HAVING EVENT CODE. AND NO EVENT CODE LOADS. WORST EVER! NEVER AGAIN
As I am reading all these comments, most make no sense as Event Brite has no control over the EVENT that is created by using the website as most of these should be directed at the coordinator of the event itself. EVENT BRITE is only a promotion tool for the actual event they are not the coordinator or the company that keeps the $. If you are buying tickets from this web site the money is transferred to the event coordinator, the event coordinator is the one that defines if the consumer pays the fees associated or if the fee will be a part of the cost of the ticket. The coordinator of the event also dictates if refund will be allowed. I would assume many things come into play when and if refunds will be allowed as many things are nonrefundable to the event coordinator and have to paid on the event side come rain or shine. I think most of these comments are because a customer of an event does not understand how or what Event Brite is or does and does not do. A little education goes along way, you have to be able to look at both sides when you choose to have an opinion. Most of these comments should be directed at the coordinator of the event or company in charge of the event not the web page that is the go between.
