My nonprofit org has created over 400 events on Eventbrite and we love the incredible power of this site. We've even created bots with their great API to integrate registration data with other systems. Love it!
I hope Eventbrite goes to hell They swallowed my tickets. I bought tickets, have receipt, they won't display. I'll proceed to make their life a living hell.
As an event organizer, I have found Eventbrite to be extremely difficult to use, especially if you have any problems. It is nearly impossible to navigate their site to find a way to contact someone to get help with a problem. I was able to find a "chat" one time after clicking just about every button that I could for nearly a half hour, however, I have been unable to find that again. The one time that I was able to find the "chat", I had to sit in a queue for over 45 minutes before someone actually answered the chat, and that person was was absolutely useless. The "help" section is just a menu of canned questions and answers, but there is absolutely no direction on how to seek assistance from a representative of Eventbrite itself. This is the second year that I have used Eventbrite to sell tickets; they are so difficult to navigate that I will not be using them again in the future.
Tip for consumers:
Have an IT person on hand or be prepared for hours of headaches.

This has been a terrible experience. I now understand the numerous negative reviews online. Avoid using Eventbrite for your events. The support team is unhelpful, often closing the chat prematurely, and they are extremely rude to us as customers.

I really hate writing a negative review for less than $20 but it is the principle of the issue. I signed up for a Kwanzaa event and canceled about 20 minutes later as the individuals I invited could not attend. I could see if there was a statement of NO REFUND but I received a text /email that the refund was being processed. I bought through paypal and filed a claim which usually ends in my favor but not this time. OK I will always check to see if eventbrite is involved and if so I will find another way to purchase tickets.
Bought $160 worth of 2 tickets. Cancelled less than a week later. Issued worthless credit with no future events. DO NOT purchase anything by Dan Hunter he will take your money and run- pun intended. Eventbrite is just as shady by not holding event holders accountable and leaving customers to deal on their own. Horrible buisness traits!

Scammers
Advertising makes boat cruise event look amazing BUT Boats are dirty, toilets are filthy, stink like urine, no toilet paper, food served was awful and small portion. Mix of people from hodge podgy to weirdo's, we ended up over dressed, no dress code. Older folks mixed with kids@ 19 plus event serving liquor.
Was expecting better food, clean environment, everyone to have a seat to sit in. People putting out cigarettes in garbage cans, nowhere to put an empty drink glass. Boo was not a great couple date night after all. Paid $230, value not there.
Just wasn't what we expected.
Fire works were great, staff was kind.
These events could be great but it's like a slum bar on a boat.

EVENTBRITE needs to do better.
Purchased Love/Hate tickets from this outfit about 6 months ago. The gig was subsequently cancelled but after 2 months and 4 requests they have still not refunded my money. Terrible website, terrible customer care, awful people
Easy to use, powerful features, mobile check ins and lots of integration with ore sites. If your holding an event, back yard barbecue or a concert in the park, eventbrite is the way to go! Highly recommended.
I made multiple attempts to reach these people before our event last weekend through email, (3 times to be exact)- looked up their number in California and the voice mail said everytime that "we are in a meetin." Poor customer service. Would never recommend them. The event was suppose to cost $25 a ticket. I collected that amount from every person (all 30) and then went to pay on line and they charged me an extra "$184.00" extra for "fees"? Junk fees. Ripped off. Use someone else-
I called everyday for 4 straight days, was put on hold for more than an hour. Very bad customer's service. Eventbrite should not offer a phone number to customers who needs help if they don't attend to the calls. Can anybody refer me to another company?
We run a small nonprofit that provides subsidized art classes to the community along with free outreach programs and monthly exhibits. We only charge $10/seat for most art classes where we provide the supplies and pay 50/50 to the teacher for their time. Eventbrite has gone from charging a semi reasonable amount to taking 25%. Greed.
Purchased a ticket for a concert in Las Vegas, concert was postponed, have had no luck getting a refund or being able to contact anyone through Eventbrite or through the event organizer who initially responded and then stopped responding to my emails. Eventbrite's help section on its website is a waste of time as you don't get to correspond with anyone and it just has you running around in circles…not user-friendly at all. Beginning to feel like I've been scammed!
We purchased reserved seating tickets for a show in Denver at the Mission Ballroom. The tickets email had no details regarding seat assignments. I followed up with the venue directly and they indicated that the tickets provided were in fact fraudulent and would not provide admission, let alone assigned seating. Attempts to contact the "organizer" through Eventbrite went unanswered. Thankfully I was able to recover the $ spent by contacting my CC company.
I bought tickets for an event that was cancelled due to COVID 3 weeks ago. They said refund would be issued and nothing so far. I tried to contact the organizer 3 separate times and no response. Bottom line do not use this website. If you try to call they won't reply to attendees.
I NEVER write reviews. But I wanted to express my delight with this company after I fell very sick and couldn't use my tickets to an event I had been looking forward to. I'd missed lots of work and was not doing well financially. I tried to let it go and focus on my recovery. Then, come Monday I unexpectedly received an instant refund as I'd requested. Although $40 may not seem like much to some people, it made my day and I am so grateful to whomever put that transaction through.
Received repeated emails to confirm and activate account... none of these links worked... just kept getting blank pages! Ended up missing my online event! Very disappointed. No one to contact for assistance but event organiser (which you have to wait up to 4 days for - too late when event starts in half an hour and you can't log on!). :(
Charged multiple times for tickets I did not receive. I didn't even get a response from their "customer experience" team. Will be telling everyone I know about this experience. I am aware I need to check different emails etc. to find tickets. They are not there, and the website told me, as I provided in the below screenshot, to "try again". What a deceitful way to drum up business.
Tip for consumers:
Do not use it.

None, I didn’t get anything that I paid for. And I was overcharged at that by many multiples of the amount.
This company is beyond awful. If i could give them 0 stars i would. They never made it clear my child could not attend an event, then when i showed up i was refused entry. I was told by staff at the front entrance the only way to get a refund is to contact Eventbrite directly. It is impossible to reach them by phone as there is no number. The best i could do was request a refund through their website. No one contacted me back as i requested. Days later the refund was denied. I sent multiple follow-up emails asking for someone to speak with me on the phone in real time and no one responded. This has been my experience and everyone elses that i know. They take your money, make it impossible to contact them about a refund, then ignore you. Do not ever use this company as i never will again.

I've done many events using eventbrite, its easy to set up and manage basic event related tasks. I have noticed that if someone cancels their ticket EventBrite still charges the organizer a fee, I had to email them to tell them the problem. I also noticed that the customer gets charged for purchasing and you as the event organizer get charged a fee as well, so they are making fees on both sides of the transaction. Not to mention what the heck your payment processor charges (PayPal etc). Customer service is only accessible by email. Its great for free events, though. Organizers do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to sell tickets.
The event running and the still selling tickets they playing with us money and don't have information about stay or not what's included such a worst service and refund policy also not working so I requested to all guys pls be careful about that I buy this on 6 pm and show start on 3pm
Tip for consumers:
Hello guys be careful about event time and ask costumer care about because anything information not have on website so pls beware about that

To start, I don't ever review things, but this is easily the worst service I have ever experienced. At this day in age, for a site that is made for sales of ANY kind to not have a customer support call in number is absolutely absurd. Then Eventbrite takes it a step further and has an absolute $#*! website where hardly anything works. Enter the wrong address? Too bad, you can't change it because only the ticket buyer can do that, even though somehow I am logged in and seeing my damn ticket. So go on their full website and login? Yea... about that... every time you login in (every single time) it sends you a confirmation email. This complaining is honestly all just a waste though because how can it be fixed with no living customer support team? They tell you to contact the venue, but why the $#*! is the venue even hiring this ticket sale company if not to regulate ticket sales? Absolutely worthless.
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT USE IT
I bought tickets for a concert while on vacation in Maui. They postponed the concert while I was there. I since returned home to Oregon. It has been several months, they do not provide updates. When I email eventbrite requesting refund, I immediately get an auto response saying they reviewed my request and cannot issue refund because concert has not been canceled. They do not have a phone to speak to anyone directly. It feels like a scam. Take everyone's money postpone concert so they don't have to issue refunds. There should be a time limit on postpone time. Literally they are making thousands collecting people money gaining interest in their accounts.
Eventbrite essentially stole over 55$ from me for 2 tickets I purchased through their website. Little did I know that I would be notified a day later that the event was cancelled due to the Corona Virus scare. They won't refund my money and I have wasted a ridiculous amount of time trying to contact customer support about this issue. And won't even let me send the necessary request for refund to customer service.
Twice in the past few weeks, I've made a purchase on Eventbrite, my credit card was charged, and I received tickets for the event. But the event host never got my registration! It was as if I never signed up, and if I had not called to check on one situation, it would have cost me hundreds of dollars in travel only to find registration was full. Beware of bookings not getting through, unless this is just two coincidental exceptions.
Stupid $#*! spoke to me in a very rude manner in regards to a event to which I bought tickets from. These people have no customer service or social skills. I bet this dumb whore has the competence of what McDonald's requires as far as qualifications to flip burgers! Eventbrite fire this bimbo!
We have had nothing but trouble with Eventbrite; their continual changing of the layout of the manage and edit pages with no notice to their customers. What's worse is they recently decided to publish the date and time of closed out events, without an option to turn it off for those of us who don't need people showing up in hopes of attending! They have no plans of fixing this problem--I asked and the answer was no. This has cost us a lot of time, trouble and many awkward in person situations. We are changing soon. Hate Eventbrite.
