My nonprofit org has created over 400 events on Eventbrite and we love the incredible power of this site. We've even created bots with their great API to integrate registration data with other systems. Love it!
I hope Eventbrite goes to hell They swallowed my tickets. I bought tickets, have receipt, they won't display. I'll proceed to make their life a living hell.
I didn't mind Eventbrite in the past but the new design is challenging to find features like 'preview' event. Oh, getting a screen shot I did find the preview - it is put in a strange place where no one thinks to look. They added an organisers section to organise different people in a group, company or community for their events. Just made more work for me. Why worked fine without it. Also, the help section isn't helpful, contact well if you can find help great, but otherwise, I'm moving to another event publishing platform. **Does Microsoft own this company? Otherwise, why would you copy Microsofts newish software layout? Not pretty so why is Eventbrite doing it with the 2 initials in a circle to display the user?

Do not count of customer services for help.

I am a publisher of events.
It's obvious they do not care about their customers AT ALL. I guess they got in bed with Facebook years ago and are just riding out the income generation this crappy webiste creates with no desire to improve their product at all. I made a simple request over a year ago for them to add a bulk delete feature so you could get rid of your old events and they still have not done it. This is EASY stuff for any mid-level programmer to accomplish. So be prepared to click and update the same things over and over and over again to get anything accomplished. If you contact customer service, they will do nothing.

Don't
Lost several hundred dollars on cancelled or disingenuous event ticketed through Eventbrite. Where as other ticketing solutions go above and beyond to protect their customers, Eventbrite seems to be the exact opposite... It is faceless and baseless. They seemed to do very little to authenticate the event to which they were selling tickets... Found out after the fact that the promoter did not even secure the listed venue... If you have other options for your event, explore them...
This company needs to be SHUT DOWN. They changed the date of an event for tickets that I had already purchased. I couldn't attend during the new date. They claimed a full refund would be given within 7 days... it's been 2 months and will NOT respond to any correspondence. 0 customer service. PATHETIC. Will never purchase tickets for any future events they are advertising and strongly suggest you save yourself the hassle. Your money would be better used to wipe yours $#*! than to "donate" it to this business who's stealing it and using it for god knows what
Purchased tickets through this site & event was cancelled. Contacted Everbrite to get the organizer name & address for a refund-it has been over a month & haven't heard anything from this organization. I am currently out of $75.00 - never again.
I bought a New Years ticket and was planning to go but then the mandates for vivid came back so I was told I would get a full refund back. It's been over 6 months now and still haven't gotten back my full refund from Reza the organizer. Extremely disappointed. Don't use eventbrite!
Purchased tickets for cruise on 8/5/23-the boat was 1.5 hrs late to depart and then as it was leaving dock crashed into parked boat. We were stuck for about 2hrs. Was told i would be refunded my money and have not! This company and organizer are crooks/frauds!
Purchased tickets; received email confirmation with electronic copy everything seemed fine until the day before the event I recieved an email that we had to get our tickets from will call with no explanation after asking customer service several times. Got to will call they said our e-tickets were fine. Got in line. Janus venue staff scanned our ticket and told us to go to will call. At this point I felt like someone was just messing with me. I will never purchase tickets through Eventbrite again.
When I bought my tickets I was aware that they were in the nose bleed section. Yet as me and my husband tried to find the seat rhatbcoressponded to my ticket we found chairs -- from the dining room that had numbers taped on them. To add insult to injury our chair assignments were not there! We had to make two trips to ask an usher to please secure 2 chairs sorry, (dining chairs) for us. I will never by through this vendor again!
I accidentally had a type in my email when I ordered tickets for an event. You would think there would be a warning. There are only so many email companies.
I have contacted Eventbrite and the promoter several time and no response. I guess I will disputed the charge on my credit card. These people are horrible. Where is the phone number? They have instructions on what to do if there is a typo. They include signing up with wrong address so you can go in and change it. But they send a verification to the wrong address! WTF!
AVOID! SCAM ARTISTS! Bought tickets for an event in Austin. The city shut it down ( rightfully so) for Covid. It's been 2 months and still no refund, no email, no response at all. The event organizers say we need to contact Eventbrite, but can't. There is no phone number and no response from the email address we were given. They basically took everyone's money and ran. Will never buy tickets through these scam artists again.
This company is a complete joke! They are nothing but a bunch of con artists. There's no customer service, you might as well forget about a refund from them. They send the same generic email when requesting a refund. It says I can't get my refund because it doesn't fall under the correct criteria, it gives a list of what must happen before you can get a refund and EVERY SINGLE THING listed I fall under. Eventbrite word of mouth goes a long way and I'm letting the people know how big of a rip off you truly are! Scumbags!
THIEVES! DO NOT by any tickets or anything else associated with this business! They will not refund any money no matter the circumstances. They even screw the promoters that hired them. Federal charges should be filed against this business and the people behind this thieving scam!
Eventbrite service fees are expensive. Over 16% in service fees. It takes to long to receive your funds, (2 weeks), The service charges are not clear up front. I would not recommend. My event took in $480 for a small dinner. Eventbrite kept $80.00 of that.
We used Eventbrite for an event in 2016. When it came to payment, weeks went by. We phoned every number listed, only to be disconnected or led back to their webpage. It took contacting our legal department before Eventbrite relinquished our payment. I ask, how can a company of this size be permitted to operate strictly via e-mail? When or if you have an issue, it cannot be addressed but by e-mail, if they respond at all. Very, very poor service. (Now we did receive payment, but it took a month)
My family members (who were visiting from out of town) and myself purchased 4 tickets for general admission of 9 pm- 2 am open bar at the Penthouse at Hotel on Rivington NYE 2018 event. We arrived at 11 pm and were delayed admission due to coat check issues and then were later informed that the event was overbooked and were at capacity and denied admission. We waited for almost 2 hours and brought in the new year in the hotel lobby after spending almost $700. They were several others that were turned away from this event as well. I am beyond disappointed in the professionalism of those hosting the event and they refuse to refund us despite their mistake.
I purchased a ticket for the Will Downing Concert in Malibu. Will Downing never showed. The condition of the area that we were in were unacceptable. Gravel parking lot is where the concert was. I would like a refund of my money. No explanation was given why he wasn't performing. The person announced they are kicking us out of here.
Tickets bought 2 months in advance for an event advertised as being staged at a prestigious venue in the UK. 2 days before "event" was to take place, the venue had been changed to... now wait for it... a warehouse behind a tattoo parlour in Liverpool docks... TRULY I KID YOU NOT! It then became apparent when I attempted to get a refund that the "organisers" (shysters) had NO contact details and operated by mobile phones, and could eventbrite care less? No of course they couldn't they're happy to get their cut from the proceedings. Currently in the process of recouping the cash via the bank. On the left In the photo below is the initially advertised venue... and on the right was the venue changed to 2 days before the event... And Eventbrite are happy to host these "organisers" repeatedly.
I purchased a ticket for an event on the same day. I never got any link and was told to contact the person who organized the event. No one contacted me from the event after three tries. I have no outlet for getting my money back and cannot even complain to eventbrite that the entire thing was probably a scam. Don't they screen for these things? I wouldn't waste my time trusting any of their other events!

I am the benefactor to a fundraiser and I am still waiting on my money. If GoFundMe can give you the money faster then there is something wrong. They hold you money forever to draw interest. So if the person or entity you are doing this for needs their money use someone else.
Organizing a large event and collecting money for it in advance is a challenging task and using eventbrite can make things go much more smoothly. They can help organizers collect money in advance as well as promote the event for you. Definitely a useful website and easier than selling tickets on your own.
Eventbrite was made aware that on of the acts they are booking is a self admitted child groomer. They were sent the messages, they were asked to address the concerns after hearing the guys own admission of the predatory behavior. They heard this artist blame the young girls
They were also sent videos of the same guy using racial slurs and defending the fact that he not only uses them but sees no wrong in using them.
Eventbrite decided to continue on with the bookings and allow the meet and greets
Tip for consumers:
Beware as they don't care who they book. Self admitted child predators and racists should never be given a platform to where they can find more victims or spread hate speech.
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! Refusing to give people their money back during a pandemic where you can not attend an event a year later! I understand no refunds but during a pandemic there should be some kind of exception! And extremely rude when you email them about it. Never again just never again!
I attempted to purchase tickets to a digital event which was "non-refundable except in the event of a cancellation".
The organizer informed everyone that their event was cancelled, and the organizer claimed they issued the refund. After not getting the refund - I contacted eventbrite through paypal's system, and event brite refused the refund, without so much as an explanation.
So neither the organizers, nor I got the money. What's event brite doing with all our extra cash?
Tip for consumers:
You cannot trust the integrity of eventbrite. Even if the organizers make the right call and "refund" the money, eventbrite will refuse to release the funds to purchasers. Even paypal could not help me get a refund.

Eventbrite has been selling tickets for pro Hamas rallies across the country. These rallies are steeped with antisemitism. Racist rhetoric against people who are Jews.
When confronted with their antisemitism the owner becomes abusive and refuses to respond.
To be clear the rhetoric of the pro Hamas movement is reflective of the KKK rhetoric towards Jews.
If you wouldn't support a business sympathetic to the KKK then you shouldn't be sympathetic to the same rhetoric uttered by different people!
I will make it my mission to make sure everyone knows just who these bigots are!
