My nonprofit org has created over 400 events on Eventbrite and we love the incredible power of this site. We've even created bots with their great API to integrate registration data with other systems. Love it!
I hope Eventbrite goes to hell They swallowed my tickets. I bought tickets, have receipt, they won't display. I'll proceed to make their life a living hell.
We have used the site for events for the past four years and enough is enough. We found that any number of invites that were sent were simply not arriving in clients mailboxes or even junk. On top of that, a very poorly laid out and designed site has not had a hint of an update in the four years weve struggled with it. Enough is enough
Very disappointed. We bought tickets to a club in Miami, which was supposed to host YoGotti. We paid around $60 per person and YoGotti didn't perform all night. When asking for a refund from the organisator, we didn't receive an answer. So we contacted Eventbrite to get a refund from the organisator thorugh them. They have never responded (the event was beginning of March). That is very bad customer service. I would not book through them again.
Held a recent event had a load of people turn up who claimed they registered via eventbrite- which we do not use for our registration- turns out one of our sponsors set up our event on this platform presumably to obtain leads for themselves
So clearly no checks are in place for legit events
Luckily was a free event
Their website has no reporting system or actual human contact just sends you round the houses choosing options for customer service
We are a global multi million dollar event co and will never use this platform
I checked reviews too late and ended up wasting 50 bucks for tickets that I couldn't use. The tickets were randomly scheduled for a day I didn't want, and at a totally random time. When I tried to get a refund, the website ran me around a rabbit hole of "Click here to refund"s. Don't waste your money here, it's a waste of time, and it's a terrible website.
Unfortunately this is the second time I have dealt with this business. First it was the 2020 New Years party. Very unorganized, lack of communication and the event was absolutely boring. Second event, St Patrick party bus savannah ga 2020. Trip canceled because of the corona virus. No money back and party postponed until 2021. Very unprofessional when I spoke to the event planner Mike and had a very unprofessional text message argument via text with him. It wasn't until I threatened to call my lawyer, when he called me back to apologize. Gave me a sob story as to why he was unable to refund my money. His personal issues are not my problem. Will never do business with them again. Gave them a second chance. Not a third!
We had used Eventbrite pre Covid for our private events with a mailing list of about 1200. Post Covid I noticed loads of changes to the platform. We adjusted and things seemed to be working well. UNTIL we began hearing from attendees that they were not receiving their email invites to our event. Working with chat help. The only thing available for technical help, the chat option has been grueling. Slow to arrive at a resolution on anything. Our first event was extremely problematic. We asked for 2nd tier help right after because we had a second event a month later. The support ticket from the first event has still not been addressed yet even after our second event took place with the same issues as our initial event. I'm frustrated and disgusted. Their ticket fees are some of the highest in the industry. Their level of service is one of the worst!
Tip for consumers:
Look for another ticketing platform.
I ordered a ticket for a balloon class time to join it wouldn't let me it kept saying your webinar time ran out retry tried to zoom didn't work then all of a sudden it say the class is live now full of it... I called a number they had on goggle for them it say they cant take and calls right now and cant leave a message I'm pissed
Tip for consumers:
do not deal with this site

If there was a '0' they would get it. Paid for an event in March back in January. Event was cancelled a week before, still trying to get a refund. No pone number two call. Have emailed twice and 'they will get back to me shortly.' Still waiting. Have lodged a complaint with the bank. If there are alternative ways to pay for an event, take it. Will never use EventBrite to pay for an event again.
Eventbrite does not issue a URL and instead issues a "ticket" which leads no-where. I'm attending a digital event, not a walk-in event. So I'm forced to contact the event organizer and pester them for the URL since Eventbrite chooses not to enclose it. Eventbrite adds nothing positive to my experience but much frustration.
They sell tickets to events but then refuse to give refunds when the show is cancelled. They choose to act as a go between between artist and the audience and provide a buffer to protect the company scamming the general public.
The event scheduled by Eventbrite was cancelled by their coordinator a couple weeks before the event. The event was to take place on March 13th. I was told by their event coordinator that I was to get a full refund.
After contacting Eventbrite over and over and over again, they have yet to acknowledge my inquiry. After trying for the last 5 weeks, I have still never gotten a refund.
They do however, continue to ask me how the Eventbrite customer experience was! I have yet to have even one of their staff members help me with this matter.
I bought 2 tickets for the show in Ft Lauderdale back in August, the show got canceled the event and as of today I have not received my refunds!. Eventbright, Mcsorley's (the venue) nor the Girls night out the show have responded to me. They stole the money, how many people had this happened to? I want answers! I want my refund and for months I have been asking!

Don’t trust them with your money

I have registered for several virtual job fairs only to be left "shut out" because Eventbright does not follow through in sending the information on how to enter the event. What's worse, there is no human contact support available for issues. Additionally, email requests for support are ignored. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with such an unprofessional service provider. I had to rate it with a 1 because there was nothing lower given as an option.
They have been reconfiguring their software, and it's got a lot of glitches. They sent out invitations to a show that previously occurred. You have to keep your on tracking lists of how many tickets have been sold or you can oversell very easily.
Registered for an online seminar. Created an account, and try to log in to watch my seminar, but it says my password is wrong. Fine, no biggie, click the link to reset the password, follow the link, reset password, but "sorry an error has occured" mind you it isn't saying I didn't meet password requirements, it just has an error (and has for several days). So I can't get in. Frustrating, but certainly customer service can help... Nope! There is no customer service, just a FAQ on their website. Fine, I'll try social media. I pm them... and chatbot! Eventually I find an option that isn't a chatbot (which wasn't helpful), and I've been waiting for an agent for awhile... eventually I get upset an look for ways to leave this company, which has no problem taking my money, but can't seem to deliver any service after the sale, this review. Crappy company with a website that doesn't work, barriers to getting to a human... if they even employ any.
I put in multiple requests for a full refund. I purchased tickets to henny and paint feb 1st 10pm. When i got to the address listed on the tickets there was a man outside pretending he couldn't speak english and he wouldn't let us in. Im not sure what is going on but do not use event brite.
The night of the New Years day concert I looked for my confirmation email for my tickets, what's that? No confirmation email? No tickets? I was scammed out of 50$ and they won't answer any emails. Never again.
Looking for islamic online events and to be confronted with an 'Secular Book Discussion about "The God Delusion" with Zoom' event is negligient at best and evil at worst.
Be careful of when searching on eventbrite for such content especially since they like to promote 'anti-religion' and other questionable ideologies on their site.
I ordered tickets on eventbrite to a show that got canceled the day before the show. I spent $121. I was sent an email stating I'd receive a refund in 3 days. Two weeks later I still hadn't gotten a refund. I sent an inquiry to eventbrite and they told me I wouldn't be getting a refund because it didn't quality for one. The show was canceled and not postponed. I paid money directly to eventbrite and not the organizer. Save your money and just don't use this company.
Glitchy to the point of uselessness. I've tried booking tickets on this dumpster-fire of a website on three different computers now. Each time I got a different problem, I'm now customer #billion on their customer service waitlist.
Why on earth would any event organizer make this the only way to buy tickets?
HORRIBLE Experience. Purchased tickets through Eventbrite to see Diplo at Echostage (Washington DC). The DJ never showed, and the site would not refund our money. Very poor customer service. Do not book/purchase tickets using this vendor.
No monitoring or follow through to confirm legitimate events or products being sold. Scams carried out with no one caring.
I will never purchase another "event" from them again.
This website is difficult to use on the business's side of ticket sales as well as the consumer's side. There is no shopping cart option so guests cannot sign up for multiple events at once which causes many guests to sign up for less. They also have no rhyme or reason to when they send checks (even if we have reoccurring checks). There is no way to edit multiple events at once or even see them in a calendar format. They updated and now the old events and the new events aren't compatible. Trying to find a way to leave eventbrite.
I've bought a ticket for a workshop titled "Start and Run a Successful Wearables Business" organized by a frauding company named Amexos. I went to the event and found out it has been a scam. They offered a wrong address and no contact number.
Eventbright hosted New Years eve party. San Mateo ca Marriott.
1) $60 per person so they packed people in like rats.
2) No in and out privileges so once in at 8pm you are stuck till 2am even though they actually patted you down before entering. (could have let you leave and patted you down when you came back)
3) Dehydrated from dancing and looking for water? 6 Bucks for 16 oz bottled water.
4) They actually wont let you have water unless you pay 6 Bucks for a bottled water.
Thats seem criminal to me.
