I tried this company for a few weeks and it was very underwhelming UNTIL they sent me a package with open rotten meat. The whole box was contaminated and smelled horrible. I immediately called in and canceled, for which they issued a refund... But wait there is more. Four weeks later im paying my credit card bill and see a brand new charge for everyplate. I immediately contact customer service which basically told me I was screwed because the cutoff date was yesterday. I tried to explain that I already canceled and that I had even gotten a refund. The vacuous rep just kept repeating that I needed to cancel before the cutoff date. Would not help me. So basically this company has resorted to stealing to keep revenue up. I have seen many many reviews where people have canceled and then suddenly a month later they are getting boxes again. Time for a class action suit I guess.
I have utilized ALOT of the meal delivery options over the years but thought I would try something a little different to have a change. I've tried Hello Fresh, Home Chef, and Misfits Market just to name a few. Do not sign up for every plate meal delivery service! You will receive a box haphazardly filled with half of the product you ordered and all the contents will be thrown around inside. They literally throw a box inside a box and fill it up with all of your products. They will also continue to charge you even after you have cancelled the service. I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing this service. The recipe options are super limited especially when you have diet restrictions within your family. I will NEVER use this meal delivery service again.
I was trying to look at the meals offered and before I could get to that area, was required to enter payment info. I NEVER placed an order - and NEVER received any type of order confirmation - but did receive an shipment notice! I called customer support and spoke to a very rude person who said there was nothing that she could do to cancel the shipment that I did not order. I called back and got another person and cancelled the account that I never intended to open!
I got my first box from Every Plate today and was disappointed that 2 of the meals I ordered were missing. They only offered me a small credit that I can use only after my promo offers have run out. I left Hello Fresh because they too cannot get a box right and offered only a small credit. I explained to both companies that a credit for future boxes does not alleviate the problem. I need the meals not the credit. After doing a little more digging I discovered that Every Plate and Hello Fresh are essentially the same company. I was told it was an issue with the carrier. The carrier is Hello Fresh so no wonder I had issues. I DO NOT recommend using either of these services. It's really too bad because the food is good and the price is decent. But if you can't rely on it and they don't make it right when they do mess up, it's just not worth it.
This company will take your money and not help you get a refund when the system automatically submits your box.
I spoke with 2 customer service reps (Lestor and Gema), the first one kept saying hello fresh (apparently he works for both). I made my account Friday, their automatic system charged my card and sent my box starting Saturday. The customer service line isn't open on weekends and they are responsive to their chat features. So I called this morning and I got the B. S saying I need to cancel 5 days before the delivery date... I explained to them I signed up 6 days before and my card was charged on day 5 and there's not e-mail that was sent out with the option to cancel the box (Lestor) as long as it was before day 5. I asked him to do the math and somehow I still should have gotten the email regardless... *insert face palm*
After spending 30-45 minutes on the phone being told they can do anything for me, I'm writing a review. I do not recommend them and now looking at other reviews I should have done that before I signed up.
I thought it'd be a great alternative to grocery shopping but it was just as expensive due to premium options being mailed. I still have to go find other options for this week and will spend the same amount just for lunch foods and weekends.
I've read reviews where the box didn't come on time and the items we're damaged or sketchy looking. I really hope that doesn't happen as if have to call CS again and I'm sure they'll not help me then either.
The first thing I was wary about was that I needed to pay before I could even see what they offered as their meals. So I took a leap and bought the first week. When I saw the meals... they are not healthy at all! So high in calories, fats, and carbs. One meal offered was over 1k calories per serving! That's more than half of your calories for an entire day. Nothing about these meals is balanced, and there are no options to choose what kind of meals work best for you; PLUS, you have to pay first and be stuck with the first week to find that out. It's all very sketchy. I'm scared to receive my meals after seeing all the reviews that stated items arrived spoiled.
Dissatisfied with first order canceled immediately. Over a month later, my account was mysteriously reactivated and I received another shipment that I did not want. A Rude representative hung up on me After I've been on hold for 32 minutes. I called back and waited another 36 minutes to only get another representative that was unprofessional and unhelpful
This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a company. I canceled my order then got another box (I thought no biggie maybe I canceled after the deadline). Then another box came and I was charged again. I called and they verified that my account was canceled. Then two more boxes came and I was charged for both again! I called and the guy said he found a duplicate account with an email address that didn't exist. I explain I didn't sign up with that email. I was on the phone for 35 minutes at this point. Then he put me on hold and hung up on me. I called back and got a different person and explained my first phone call to her. I asked for a refund for the 3 boxes and she said she can't do that. I was on the phone for over an hour with her just to be told the manager would have to call me back!
Everyplate has lied to me, stole my money, and stole my time. I told them if they could send me the confirmation email that I agreed to with that other email I'd accept the charges. They were not able to produce that proof but still will not give me my full refund. They are basically saying they can just send unwanted boxes that were never agreed to and charge you for them. STAY FAR AWAY from this criminal company.
Cancelled within 5 days of delievery. When I called I was told 5 days from order,. I called Monday and informed them I would be hospital for heart surgery that Thursday. They said the delivery couldnt be stopped. What a waste. The order before was missing ingredients also which I reported. So they started processing my 2nd order over the weekend. Who does that.? I just got home from hospital and called customer service. I spoke with Anita who had a personality of a robot. She said she would reimburse me 8.75 for missing ingredients. Thats it. The meals are not heart healthy since I didnt choose them and were delievered even though I told them nobody was there. Meat thrown in freezer several fresh items bad. What a shame. It could have been avoided. The main reason for my cancellation was the preparation. I found it very hard to prepare. Not designed for older people with disabilities. Anita, their customer service agent lacked customer service skills.As a lifelong customer service agent, this is not how you deal with people. You have to be able to listen and be empathic. Very dissapointed, and what a waste of food.
I paid for my first box, never got the first box. Contacted customer service, they issues a "credit" to my account to be used towards my next box. Then they charge me full price for my next box instead of using the credit. I call and the agent tells me I was misinformed and that credit won't be applied until 2 boxes later. I have not even tried the damn food yet to know if I want 3 more deliveries, yet, I am paying and not being issued a credit.
Horrible customer service and i literally cancelled before even receiving my first shipment.
I've been a subscriber for several months and the food has been great. It's been a challenge to find meal plans that kids like, but we finally found it. Would recommend giving it a try.
Ordered a biscuit meal, biscuits were all moldy out of the box. Live chat gave me a whopping $2.00 credit. What a joke of a credit for a meal that was useless without the biscuits.

They get you in for a 60$ dollar free meals and then it signs you for a subscription and doesn't tell you that. The food was horrible the the directions didn't tell you how to do anthing. This is a complete scam and rip off
We tried this company for a few months. Everything tasted great, but we had problems week after week of spoiled food or damaged packages. Today's box was the last straw when we received a package of ground beef sliced all the way down the side. There was no way this could have been missed in the box packing phase, or *IF* someone did miss it - that's just as scary! We had to toss our entire box because everything had been sitting with exposed raw meat at least since last Thursday when the box was shipped out. Today is Monday. A smashed tomato is understandable for something shipped. A rotten onion is unfortunate. Open meat is unacceptable. I just cancelled this subscription and we'll move on to something else. Hello Fresh was too expensive, we may try Dinnerly next. Oh, and Every Plate seems to be the nearly-rotten leftovers from Hello Fresh - sometimes the veggies even came in Hello Fresh packaging! Now we know why they're cheaper. Sad.
I signed up for this service and after realizing a few minutes later the food is not precooked, I canceled. Still was charged and have not received a refund! Terrible customer service.
Thank you! Everyone at EveryPlate has been great -- the customer service, prompt communications, great recipes and life-made-simple-in-a-box! My son is a full time college student, and also works full time in a "big-boy" job; takes care of his own house about 5 hours away. He's only 22 but he's been cooking for himself for a couple years. EveryPlate makes life so much easier for him, and so much happier for me, knowing that he's got fresh food to cook during this incredibly busy time in life!
I specifically told the company not to put pork in the box. I unsubscribed the service because of there was bacon in previous box! I When I called the customer service, they said you will get $25 for next order. I am not ordering from your stink business anymore. I ain't paying a penny anymore.
They never delivered my box.
The tracking showed that it was in another city. I spoke with someone who gave me a $10 credit. The next day, I was notified that the box was delivered. It was sent to a different address in a different city. I spoke with someone else who offered a credit, told me that my box wouldn't be reshipped, and had to ask for a refund as it wasn't offered. The credit wasn't given and the refund wasn't processed. Had to contact them again as I was charged for a second box while still waiting to be refunded for the first one. That's how I found out that I wasn't refunded the first time. I was offered a refund for both orders that I'm still waiting on. Oh, and another box was delivered. To who, I have no idea.
As a senior I have found this to be working extremely well for my husband and I. Being a senior I have found prepping the ingredients ahead has shortened my time on my feet in kitchen. Ie: prepping fresh veggies in advance.
I have tried many meal delivery kits and I really like Every Plate! The price is very reasonable and the meals are tasty. I have found that the cost of the kits is lower than what I would spend at the grocery store so it has saved me money on my monthly meal cost. I whole heartedly recommend Evry Plate!

Answer: I have tried others, that were more expensive, the instructions either were very time consuming or they didn't send any, you had to go online to get them them. I dont' know of any that have better price.
