The staff is great with the exception of the one mishap that you will read. My first day here I literally want to pack up my stuff and leave already. A combination of reasons not only the facility issues that I thought was odd like one I have to enter a code every time I use the elevator which is ridiculous when you are paying mover by the hour to move your stuff in and they have to enter a 6 digit code every time we are trying to use the elevator. Second there is not a wash room that you can use, it's in the office and only available during office hours. I had been here since 6:30am and had to use the bathroom for the last hour was told that bc of the covid 19 the office is on lock down I get it so what am I supposed to do I'm from out of town and know no one here. So this has been the most frustrating day ever. I asked the lady if I was supposed to leave my $#*! in the middle of the road and pack the moving truck up to go hunt for a restroom and she asked me why I was talking to her that way. Are you $#*!ing kidding me? You don't understand that I'm frustrated, I'm moving to a new city, during a very awkward time everything is closed down and I have to use the $#*!ing bathroom.
Updated: The staff is great here, I spoke with the lady that I cursed at and apologized to her, and explained what was going on. I was having a really $#*! day, still think that having to enter a code every time you use the elevator to go up is a bit irritating.
Recently have 2 units & cleaning out 1 & its an easy process returning & actually gettin units here! Have never had such aweso. E customer service!:)A+++++ i firget her name at the front desk shes been here 15yrs i think? Shes the most AMAZING PERSON IVE EVER MET! :) MAKES ME FEEL WELCOMED & HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS! NOTHING LUKE MY LAST experience with a diff. Storage company! They r rude! Im recommended this to everyone! Great job it makes the whole thingbeyter!
Raised my rent from 70$ to 250$. Make sure to read the contract carefully I learned a lesson here, good luck.
I had a unit at Extra Storage for 3 years. The rates kept increasing a large board room table was stolen because it wouldn't fit on the elevator so I had to go get help to move it. It was locked inside the building 16 minutes later it was stolen by someone that the Extra Storage person gave access in the building. Because of the rates I decided to move. I notified them. I removed everything from unit except 3 items that wouldn't fit on truck. One item was worth $3000, a fridge and a chair. I left and forgot that I had a piece of the lock so my Storage was pulled down but not locked. Extra Storage called foe me to come back and lock unit but I was already out of town. I sent someone back there the next day to get it but Extra Storage locked my code out. This was June 9th. I told them that I was moving out. They kept my items, locked me out and would not honor my move out request. They continued to charge me until August which was 2 months later after moveout. Then put over $600 on my credit report. 1. Why wouldn't they let me get my belongings I wasn't even 15 days late? 2. Why did they lock me out? 3. Why did they continue to charge me when I went on line to process moveout as requested by the worker? 4. How can they put it on my credit report and keep over $4000 worth of items (3 items)?
Extra space is a total scam. If I could curse on here I'd use all the words multiple times. I was at a great storage facilty $95/month. I got it in 2020. Extra Space bought them out - they also bought out my mom's and sister's storage space small comapnies as well. I know pay $229/month! My moms? - $330! My sisters? $295! They're AWFUL for doing this. There is NO reason to jack them up that high. I don't want to hear any excuse of "oh inflation" and that BS - you don't raise your prices 100+%. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm wokring on getting us 3 OUT - of all three. I'd rather have all my stuff sitting in my living room than rent a unit with this company. Aside from the price - even $220 is ridiculous for a 10x10 - to raise the prices like that - with no real notice, you just get a letter in the mail about the increase - is not a company I want to support. You guys suck, you're awful, you totally take advantage of people who are already struggling. Absolutley ridiculous. DO NOT RENT A UNIT WITH THEM. Chances are though, wherever you do rent a unit - they'll probably buy them out and you'll see!

My name is Ivonne, I have been renting unit 1032 at store #1805. Since September 2022, I am been charge $297 per month for a 10x5. I was told by the store manager Jeannette Gonell, I could not get the first free month rent promo because I was getting an online rate. I don't see what kind of special price for every where else with better access hours a 10x5 is a hundred dollars or more cheaper. Access hours are suppose to be until 7pm at 6:40pm they are rudely kicking people out. I get my unit pay by HRA they always access fees to the account although Hra send the checks on time. They always claim not having received them. While all mail send to me by hra is receive in 2 or 3 business days from the time they send them. I have been renting only for five month and yesterday, I was told my rent has been increased already. They were demanding me to pay $56 off pocket. Claiming, the HRA check did no cover the full account balance. Hra sent a check of 297.50 on 12/22/22. For January payment which was 297.50. A fee of $56 was assessed on 01/07/23. For they claimed not to have received the check, that was sent out on 12/22/22. There was a roll-up credit of 40.20. However, within the past to days I have been called and told I need to pay $56. It's terrible they are thief. Jeanette Gonell should be fire as well as Christina Roberts. They are so disrespectful.

Within a year of them acquiring the building i had been at for years my rent increased 2 times totaling 170% they agreed to lower it a tiny bit but they never did they continued to charge me raised rate I tried resolve 3 months 2 of them I was at unit the month I was out of unit I called several times of all the times I called and was told ild get call back I got 1 call back person did not see problem that I had been overcharged at least 2 months 3 if you count the fact they said I could have lower rate to begin with plus they have a deposit of $10 dollars rent increases were not isolated to previous tenants probably the worst thing has been poor customer service resolution I did not have the choice to pay what I was told I could pay because of the system not showing it even though it's a small amount it really leaves you feeling helpless there was nothing I could do in this situation without risking my property I would recommend you do a complaint search yourself this is a common occurrence with this company

I most certainly would not recommend this storage facility in Lindenwold, on Laurel Rd. Between Alana, and Cat G-R-A-H-A-M (is how she spoke it too me) you will have problems. The problem I have with people like this or "friends" in the workplace, is that when they tell their story THEY are always the victim or have a pity mentality. Rather than owning what YOU ACTUALLY did that was wrong, fixing it as reasonable and responsible as possible. This Cat G-R-A-H-A-M was attempting to call me to explain and rationalize her employees behavior as well as tell me that I will only be compensated for the "day" because SHE feels it was not that big of a deal. I have a business and these women caused me to almost lose a vendor file because I could not access the space I pay for. They do not care about their customers particularly if you are black because the first girl asked me so many questions as if I was lying about the information I was offering INCLUDING DOCUMENTS! No thank you to this storage facility if you ask me. I would give them - stars.
The facility on Hessmer is extreme clean and safe. The staff are very professional and friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs storage.

My rent went from 68.00 in May to 108.00 in sept. On their website it says you can rent a 5x10 for 38.00. Needless to say I am moving on.
