I had lots of technical problems with the app. Background check took almost a month and already been approved months before this w both Uber and Lyft. Got my scheduled appointment and made deposit. Waited for appointment to pick up car
Seemed like a good deal a month ago but after the 300%+ increase in start payments in the same way creditors sense red flags when one person applies and/or obtains multiple new accounts/debts in a short amount of time bc they could already know they're dying (for example LOL) so whatever I wonder what Fair is preparing for!?"
Not happy with this company at all. Customer service is extremely slow. Hold times are crazy. We were lied to about our payment. Gave the car back three weeks ago and are still being charged for the car. Our account has been overdrawn twice because of this. Have called twice and said it was fixed and should be refunded but still not fixed. How long does it take to close an account that some say is closed and others say it's not. We've been charged overdraft fees taken out and not refunding them either. Just not happy with that all! I would second guess getting a car with them. Only thing I would say is their staff is polite
I really enjoyed reading your post on the fair app. I was also like you and very curious about fair. I have friends that I respect their opinions; unfortunately on this subject they are too traditional and are waiting for fair to have more longevity before they will even look at the app. If you happen to get this message from me; I would really appreciate your opinion on a question that I have... if you possibly would please answer back. I sincerely would appreciate your time. With that said variety would be nice especially if it is practical to change out vehicles; maybe at least every 6 months."
My wife and i have less than perfect credit and could not qualify for a decent auto loan. So we looked into Fair. Not only did I find a car within our budget but we able to pick it up within hours of our transaction. Fair's concierge is polite
Gave two stars. Pros: advertising was good to get my attention on concept of no commitment car rental/use. Cons: I can't even get past the verification code. App is too slow to provide code. By the time
I heard about this app. Decided to try it out because I had transportation issues. It immediately asks for a lot of information but no real explanations. Gave my info and each screen says "this is not a credit check. It will not affect your credit". I hit submit and was denied with no explanation. Now they have my info for...?
I've had my Fair car six weeks. I've not had any problems and haven't needed to call support. After I drive 5000 miles I took the car into one of the contracted auto mechanics and I was back on the road within 2 hours. I love that I can keep this car for as long as needed. I e yet to hit the rider count to get more discounts off future rentals but in time that will come. Without Fair
I joined and gave all my business info. They kept emailing me daily saying I had 7 days to get 50 percent off first order. I tried to place my order on day 6 it showed the 50 off and total wad around $250 before shipping. When I paid it took one each company separate it had me pay for cheapest first an then the rest of the order went to regular price. I feel like they set you up to screw you over. I'll skip this place.
I've been using Fair for almost 6 months now to drive for Uber. I was having a great experience but I already paid for the week to drive the vehicle. I would highly not recommend this program to anyone. Extremely bad customer service and don't spend your money on this program if you want to drive with Uber. They will just waste your time and keep telling you to wait as long as you are paying them that's all they care about."
It was a great company. Good cheap reliable vehicles. Now that they changed their pricing and made the down payments fixed it's not worth it. Couple grand down for a used car plus the monthly jumped also. They'll claim it's cheaper than before and it's helping us. But they're just lying to promote the company.
Before you make your final purchase and everything I would verify if that is the right car. I come across few cars that have different pictures than what is advertised. Need to do a better job of making sure picture match and the car or the correct year.
I don't usually make reviews but I want to share the wonderful experience I've had. Fair made it very easy and was very professional. Levi Martinez from customer support went above and beyond to make sure I had a good experience and took care of me like he was a family member. First time I have ever felt so safe and secure to do business with a company. Thank you so much for making my rental experience the most professional and easy. I will continue to be a happy and loyal customer
This is what I dream about long time ago after getting ripped off big time by Santander. This app is good for people have less than perfect Credit Scores who want to have decent car to go to work and rebuilding credit. If this business model works it will drive other used car dealers and loan shark lenders like Santander and the like away. Thanks.
If you want to drive for Uber this is the way to go! I got a great new car with excellent gas mileage. All maintenance is included. My insurance and car payment in one place makes it way easy for taxes. The people who work there are eager to help you with any problems
This is by far was the worst experience in my life. I will never ever recommend this company to anyone I know. I had the car for 9 months in hopes that FAIR would switch it out or get the problem fixed. Even after taking it every month to Hyundai the problem was never fixed instead of just hushing customers with gift cards. This doesn't even deserve a star!"
I sent a deposit of $195 dollars. The app told me it would take 5-7 days just to talk to a dealership. After a month i decided it was taking too long and talked to customer service asking why it is taking longer than usual for my appointment. They told me the dealership doesn't have any cars so I cancelled my reservation and after another 2 weeks of waiting. It has been another month and my money hasn't come back plus customer service is really no help at all.
We just got our car my husband and I started the process on the afternoon and the next day we were driving home back from the dealer on our new car. Better than expected I was skeptical too but everything was so smooth and perfect that I can't thank them enough. Is 2019 people everything is going to be thru apps some day and fair is making me believe on it. Give it a try I'm not getting paid for a review I literally got a car thru an app that actually worked and left me very please and happy.
When I stumbled across fair.com ok... contacted customer service via chat they called me right away was given point of contact at the dealership & was on my way. Hoping the dealership knew about the app (another negative comment I noticed) I walked in the salesman super awesome knew exactly what I was picking up and knew all about fair.com! They were still detailing my car but otherwise I showed them my License
I just spent a month without a car and exercising all of my patience Fair continued to rise to the top as my best option. THEN I found my car! The only drawback that I kept finding with Fair was that most of the cars were many miles from my home. So I'd have to either find a friend to make a day trip and drive me or ride-share out to one of these dealerships for nearly $100. But that mild inconvenience kept me searching and that's when I found a 2015 Honda Civic with only ******* miles on it and the best part is that it was parked at a dealership 15 minutes from my home. I got on to Fair's chat several times spoke to different reps and asked and re-asked about several concerns. Their answers were consistent and reasonable. At roughly midnight
I have been using Fair for about four months now. I really love the concept that they have here and I feel like it's really convenient for anyone who needs a car quickly. My experience has been wonderful and I have experienced no problems with customer service. I will be using fair again in the future and I hope you guys give the option to buy out a car as well. I would love to purchase a car from your company! Thank you for the awesome service.
They've made everything quick and easy. The transaction went very smoothly. I paid the start fee and received a notification to pickup the car from the dealership the next day. Seems like they go out of their way to make things as painless as possible. The app is great! I even got a awesome deal on their car insurance. So far
I think their service is amazing and very simple and easy to get a car. I suppose picking a good dealership to work with is helpful. I got lucky and was matched with a great dealership that has been around since 1951. I would say that 80% of your experience is with the dealership you get the car from. So make sure you do research on the dealership first. My experience with the Fair app itself was great too. I searched for a vehicle for about a week my credit is not great and there are hundreds of cars under $300 a month on here. Almost all the vehicles available have low miles and are only 3 to 4 years old. I'm rating Fair 5 stars for them helping me get a car at an affordable price where I can still save money along the way. Thank you Fair!"
I was able to get a car with Fair when they first came out... I had the car for 2 years and just returned it... I never had any issues... I'm grateful for this company because it allowed me to quite my job and do ride-sharing full time... great customer service... thanks for allowing me to take care of my family
The ordering experience from beginning to end was pretty simple and moved quickly. This was a huge improvement since my 1st vehicle. There is one aspect of the order process that made the experience enjoyable and that is the customer care rep assigned to my account. The young lady's name is Daisy and she went above and beyond to ensure my process went smoothly with little to no hiccups. Daisy communicated with me regularly and answered all questions that arise. She did more than I'm sure is expected and I made it a point to write this review to show my appreciation and thank her for everything. Daisy, I hope there is an Employee Bonus program, you deserve it.
Easy to use. Lots of selection. And AMAZING customer support. Either via the chat in the app or by phone. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure i got the right car and organized test drives. Highly recommend.
I tried to rent a car to drive for Uber. I paid the weekly deposit (185$) and the first weekly payment (201$). For some weird reason nobody cared they said I would have to wait 5-7 business days for some help or 10 days to have my money back. I hope someone can get in touch and make me change my mind and my review but so far 1 star and worst company ever."
Fair is a new way to get a used car that lets you lease a pre-owned vehicle completely digitally – and for as long as you want. Use your phone or the web to shop cars with monthly payments that fit your budget, get approved in-app, sign for the one you want with your finger, then drive it month-to-month for ultimate flexibility, or on a 2-year or 3-year lease if you want the best value.
Headquartered in Santa Monica, Calif., Fair launched in August 2017 as an app-based digital leasing platform for pre-owned vehicles. Since then, the Fair app has been downloaded almost 4 million times and the company has grown into the world’s leading used car leasing platform, serving customers throughout California and Florida.
