I had lots of technical problems with the app. Background check took almost a month and already been approved months before this w both Uber and Lyft. Got my scheduled appointment and made deposit. Waited for appointment to pick up car
Seemed like a good deal a month ago but after the 300%+ increase in start payments in the same way creditors sense red flags when one person applies and/or obtains multiple new accounts/debts in a short amount of time bc they could already know they're dying (for example LOL) so whatever I wonder what Fair is preparing for!?"
They take your drivers license before you can see any price... I e mailed customer support twice with no response. There is zero service. All of the cars have at least 20
The most mediocre customer service I have ever encountered. A completely unorganized system for handling issues with ill-advised representatives taking your calls.
There are much better deals out there on the market if you just do a simple google search on car leases. Rough example you can lease a 2018 VW Jetta mid range model at $200/month zero down 10k mile/year for 24month. Or work a deal on 2018 base Bmw 320i for $349/month with zero down 24 month 10k miles a year. -The so called "fair" deals I see on this app for example: 2015 base used small Mitsubishi Mirage with already 23k miles on it for $240 month PLUS $600 start payment. -Another unfair deal is their used base Bmw i3 (already 17k miles on it) for $500 month plus $1
Went through the whole signup process and due to my credit was denied. Had this process been more transparent as to qualifications I wouldn't have even downloaded the app.
David at the Lawndakle location will take care of you. Thank you for the great service. That's was much needed. David made it easy for me to obtain the car that I wanted!
• sign up is simple but you'll need to upload your information constantly. •fair "concierges" (chat help) respond promptly but aren't very helpful by giving you some ‘copy and paste' answer instead of actually reading your question. •if a deal you have is pending I was really excited to upload my license and payment information but i'm super disappointed with the process. Once my deal "went through" i was called by a Fair rep to share the news about getting closer in the process and that my contract would be ready in the app soon. You would think they would send an email or send notifications like "hey do you still want this car?" or anything because i was waiting and checked the app for the next 24 hours but nothing. Then less than 48 hours the dealership cancelled the deal. Not a problem because the car was still available however in those days my son has lost my license and in order for me to select the deal again guess what? I had to re-scan my license for the umpteeenth time. I still need a car and would only use fair because of no other options."
I got my new Infiniti via Fair and it was a fantastic experience. I was walked through the entire process and the follow up was top notch! I would suggest using this app to anyone in the world!
Jamey Hebb thank you so much for the help. It's my first time get the car done very smoothly. Made sure I got everything I need. I would recommend my friends for this app to get a car.
They make many mistakes over the phone with their offices departments. Long waitings. And on their app why we can not make a payment like the others app?
Mia at the Lawndale Lot is LA County was super helpful. She went above and beyond! Everyone was friendly and professional. The app is great too. I was cleared and ready drive very quickly.
I paid the deposit and I paid for the whole week and then I called ask what kind of car they going to give me no one can answer my question and they were all forcing me to drive all the way to something where far away from me location almost One hour and20 minutes to get a car I don't know What car I'm getting and I asked to cancel my reservation and get my money back technically you will get your money back after 10 business days that's ridiculous so you guys don't waste your time these people they're not professional and they won't will help you the only thing they want to take your money that's all.
I am looking for car for more then a week everytime I select a car when I go to booked it's shows not available. I never seen in my life this kind of undeveloped app in market I am a IT employee
My experience with Fair so far has been a great one. I picked up my Jetta at the end of February 2019 and the experience at the Jetta dealership was smooth
They are so freakin awesome here! They made it so easy Brook was super awesome! Jeff was super helpful as well! I highly recommend using this station.
DO NEVER GET A CAR WITH THEM! I GOT A CAR 2 MONTHS AGO AND THE BATTERY STARTED LEAKING. WHEN I CHECKED THE BATTERY, IT WAS STILL THE BATTERY FROM FACTORY, THEY SAID THE CAR WAS INSPECTED BEFORE THEY DELIVERED TO ME AND THEY WONT PAY TO REPLACE IT. SO THEY GAVE ME A UNSAFE CAR WITH A 4 YEAR OLD BATTERY. COSTUMER SERVICE "SUPERVISOR" SEAN DON'T KNOW HOW TO ASWER QUESTIONS AND IF YES HE ASNWER VERY POORLY. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE CLIENTS THATS FOR SURE. DON'T EVER GET A CAR WITH THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY, IF YOU GET A CAR WITH THEM THE CAR WILL BREAK DOWN! ALL THEIR CARS COME FROM AUCTION! BE AWARE! LOOK AT THE PICTURE AND TELL ME, WHEN A INSPECTED BATTERY WILL BE LIKE THAT IN 2 MONTHS?
I picked my start payment and amount and waited for them to confirm with the dealer. Later I got an update from the app saying the car was available. Despite that update the app said they were still confirming with the dealer. I chatted with them and kept getting disconnected but essentially they said keep waiting. So I did and after a couple days the order disappeared from the app but the car was still listed if you search for it. I chatted again and they said the order was canceled because they didn't hear back from the dealer. Ok so why didn't they notify me of that and why is the car still listed as available in the app. Not ready to give up I try again for a second car. The dealer confirmed within an hour or two and I signed all the docs in the app. I confirmed pick up times with the dealer and within chat. The dealer was AMAZING. The sales guy Jeff McPike showed me everything there was to know about the car. The car itself is perfect. So there are still a lot of technical and process things they need to work through but the experience with the second car was pretty top notch and impressive. It's such a cool idea that I really think is the future."
To customer service. Here's why: I've experienced a few snags over my now 3 months with FAIR. I've used the chats quite frequently in attempts to resolve my troubles. One of the bigger issues with chat is the time it takes for someone to get on with you. One day I was put in touch (by an outside source I must admit: who said all the while making sure I was utilizing the FAIR chat during our problem solving: keeping it all on the table. He took positive effective steps using professional yet kind and considerate verbiage whenever he spoke with me over the phone and in text. Yes he allowed me his personal cell # so that if I felt the need to reach out to him he wasn't invisible. That's one of his above & beyond measures I truly appreciate. I'm left with a deep sense that Matt has moved mountains for this client of FAIR's. In final words I tell you this: if it weren't for Matt Dowley I would've stopped dealing with FAIR quite some time ago; walking out with an extremely bitter taste in my mouth and some choice words for a FAIR review. It would've been deserved. Matthew Dowley truly made that not happen. A semi-new company in all fairness has a few glitches to iron out - best of luck -with Matt on the team
I got this app for a vacation on the East Coast and I am currently at the mental hospital for PTSD among many things. Overall find a better car rental app to get quality Shrek shrines."
After two months of receiving the run around. I am now leaving this negative review. FAIR's partnership with Uber was great until you're involved in an accident. After getting into a minor accident (which I was NOT at fault) while driving with Uber on July 1st I was no longer able to drive the car for Uber. So now my main source of income has been compromised and I'm paying FAIR $220 WEEKLY for a car to drive specifically for Uber and I couldn't even use the car for it's intended purpose. THEN after constantly being given the run around and misinformation someone from fair told me to drop the car off at a repair shop and I was told by Fair that they would repair the car and I no longer had to worry about it. WRONG. Now I am paying $200 a week for a car that's no longer in my possession while trying to find a job to pay Uber's deductable to give the car back to fair to stop the weekly payments. This has caused a massive amount of trauma and stress. I have literally lost 20 pounds since the beginning of this ordeal and no one seems to be able to do anything. I spoke with a manager ONCE regarding the situation emailed him and he has yet to respond. This is highway robbery and it's sad. I will never use or recommend this company to anyone if they're considering using it for Uber."
This is my first time doin the rental/lease option and I was skeptical at first. When I arrived I asked a gentleman that worked there by the Name of David from the Lawndale location very professional
I remember using this awhile back just to browse and see what all the hype was about and it was okay... So recently I decided to try it once more because out of the 3 cars I outright own I was getting bored and wanted something fresh without shelling out cash for another car (I pay in full for my cars)... And now I had to enter all this detailed information so it could decide how much it thinks I can afford a month Hellcat SRT 392 Daytona" etc. same with the Mustangs. Also the listings are all over the place you can find the same car with same mileage etc. for hundreds cheaper a month I suppose you can search "low to high" but there is such a high discrepancy between listings it gets annoying having to "hunt around" for the best listing. In conclusion; It asks too much info just to look Calculates your spending limit inaccurately (in my case at least) Does not cater to someone looking for something car specific Isn't very organized (listings ESPECIALLY) I'm guessing is catered to the average joe just looking for something anything."
I got a new phone and I tried to sign and input my phone number but when it asks for my security code I never get the code in my phone so I can't sign in
Fair was 5 stars all the way—from the concept to the shopping experience—until this happened but not available for the other. While everything about the experience felt amazing that just doesn't seem FAIR. At all. Does it? While the concept of tailoring the experience to each unique user is understood and even appreciated it's hard to imagine ANY REASONABLE scenario under which the same car's monthly costs could be double (yes DOUBLE) that of another user or for a car to be available to one user and not the other. Something in the algorithm of this new company's offering must be remarkably off base (hopefully in ERROR and not by DESIGN) for there to be such a wide discrepancy between prices and offerings. This app would have received an unquestionable 5 out of 5 and I'd have kept screaming about it from the mountain tops to my considerable network of business and personal colleagues had this issue not surfaced. For anyone using the app in solitude without others around you who are also considering a lease from Fair
Fair is a new way to get a used car that lets you lease a pre-owned vehicle completely digitally – and for as long as you want. Use your phone or the web to shop cars with monthly payments that fit your budget, get approved in-app, sign for the one you want with your finger, then drive it month-to-month for ultimate flexibility, or on a 2-year or 3-year lease if you want the best value.
Headquartered in Santa Monica, Calif., Fair launched in August 2017 as an app-based digital leasing platform for pre-owned vehicles. Since then, the Fair app has been downloaded almost 4 million times and the company has grown into the world’s leading used car leasing platform, serving customers throughout California and Florida.
